Wanted to try the Love Shack on Woolmarket Rd but could not find any information. Today was a great day for the hubby and I to try a new place for lunch. Inside was small with a cute 50's look, specials on the eraser board and on small signs. They were short-handed on servers but the one lady serving, people inside and outside, was fabulous. Hubby order the Love Shack Burger, it was juicy and finished his plate fast. My Crab Meat Poboy was dressed and pressed to my liking, was fresh and the fries were perfect. I enjoyed this little place and will have to go back very soon. Only 5 miles away from the house.

Happened to be in Woolmarket a few weeks ago to visit a local nursery for some shrubbery ( insert Monty Python quote here!). Passed this tiny restaurant on the way home and decided to give it a go. Since it was not quite summer yet and we had our dog with us we decided to sit outside, so I cant comment on the interior. We were greeted by the owner who's name escapes me, she was very pleasant and took great care of us. We settled on the Onion tanglers for an appetizer, thinly shredded onions lightly battered and fried that were simply delicious. They seemed to have a variety of items on the menu but I settled on a shrimp platter and was glad I did. My meal included a salad and when it arrived it caused great amusement to my partner and I. there were generous helpings of cherry tomato's which we couldnt help to remember a visit to a downtown Gulfport restaurant that had only one cherry tomato sliced in two. My platter also came with fresh vegetables that were grilled and seasoned perfectly, on top of that came a side of baby stuffed potato's. Thats right tiny russet potato's topped with sour cream and bacon with cheese. This was the second time in the last year that I've been wowed by a local establishment. The owner loves what she does and it shows, the food was awesome! I totally agree with Miriah that The Love Shack is a local gem that we plan to return to real soon. P.S. my friends tell me that the Chicken Salad is not to be missed.

The food was very good and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The shrimp basket was tasty and the fries were amazing! We also got a chocolate shake which was also delicious.

I had hoped for better based on the good reviews and how close it is to my house in Biloxi. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak plate, and my sister ordered the oyster po boy. My chicken fried steak was bleh. Mash potatoes were bland. Fries were soggy and obviously not fresh. The Oyster po boy my sister got had a huge amount of mayo on it. She just threw away the bread and tried to salvage the oysters. She didn't even finish the oysters! We both tipped the the chick at the counter and she basically said, "Meh, have a nice night". It's always disappointing when employees act like they don't want to be there. I'm sincerely hoping because it was a slow night that this all happened. I'll be going back one more time soon to see if my experience is better.

Happened upon this location by chance and as a native from New Orleans I take food pretty seriously. The shrimp and catfish platter was excellent. My son couldn't stop talking about how great his burger was. My husband loved the fried bologna sandwiches. We all thought the onion strings were the best any of us had ever had. Cute old fashion diner decor, though very limited seating of about 10 tables. Prices were very reasonable. This will be a sure stop when in the area from now on. Excellent!

I'd been wanting to check this place out since I've moved to Mississippi, yet every time I'd try to go they were closed, but lucky me, today the timing was right and believe you me all this waiting was well worth it! From the cute retro decor to the sweet Southern style tea the food was ridiculously delicious and so filling! I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food at an affordable price!
