We had just gotten in to town and thought we shouldn't waste any time finding a beignet. There was only one little waitress doing the best she could. However, we sure were glad we'd arrived pretty much before anyone else. The fresh beignets were brought fairly quickly, 3 to an order and smothered in powdered sugar. They were delicious! After about 20 minutes our breakfast sandwich to share arrived. It too was delicious. The main problem was, that it was a really chilly morning and the restaurant was cold and the door was left standing open. So we ate too fast, and were very uncomfortable in spite of the good food. Lots of people started coming on as we were almost done and I was pretty sure they were going to have a very long wait for their meals. I'd go back on a warm day and suck up 2 orders of those beignets!

My husband and I came here on a whim. First we walked up to order and the girl wasn't very friendly. We placed our order and waited a half an hour to get our mediocre food. I ordered shrimp and grits and it was pretty much instant grits it was not good. Who knows what my husband got it was a disaster on his plate, the only thing worth going there for is beignets while eating our food two other girls walked in and talked about their personal lives the whole time. I will not be going back there :x ever

My wife and I arrived here at 9:20am, it was 40 degrees outside and it was the same temperature inside. We ordered caffe au lait and a hot chocolate, 15 minutes later still no drinks and still freezing inside. We got a few excuses to why it was cold and why our drinks weren't ready yet, but no apologies. So we got up and left! They had a 4-top and my wife and I in the dining room, the other table was still waiting on there drinks as well. It was not busy and they had been opened for 20 minutes. I had high expectations given the good reviews that were given by other Yelpers. All I ask is that if there is a problem in the kitchen, that the owner tell us up front. Excuse after excuse is poor customer service! The food may have been good but we didn't get that far.

I don't recommend going on a Monday. There was one person working the register, making the coffee and cooking the meals, and another who brought the food out. The food was really pricey for what you get. I suggest sitting close to the counter so they don't forget you. Just go for the chicory coffee or an espresso.

Had the Crab stack and breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was a little bland and had a bit too much mayonnaise on it but I'd rate it a B. The crab stack was definitely an A+. All the flavors complemented each other very well. I strongly recommend a visit here.

Stumbled upon this place while out for a mid-morning stroll. We were staying at the Hard Rock and needed some fresh Mississippi air! Adorable spot! Very friendly and welcoming staff who keeps up a clean store. Of course we had the beignets. Ours were a bit on the chewy/heavy side but delicious nonetheless. I'm definitely not a beignet connoisseur but I am particular about my pastries! I would highly recommend this cute little spot and I would love to try their other menu items. Will definitely return when I'm in the area again.
(4)Garett K.
The food was as good as the people Bread pudding was awesome The crab stack was amazing And the beignets are every bit as good as the cafe in NOLA. And they took care of our twin 5 year olds as if they were their own kids! highly recommend, getting off the main street tourist trap areas and visiting here!

Came in for Father's Day brunch, we were the only customers here. We walked to the front, thinking the 2 people eating were customers..turned out they were employees! They looked up and didn't even greet us. I was confused and said "table for 2?" The girl lazily got up from her chair, reached over and handed us 2 menus. I gave her a confused look again and she said, "order here when you're ready." The food was ok, but not worth coming here if everything else was terrible. I asked for mustard and the same girl said, "we don't have any". I was surprised, "you don't have basic mustard or mayo for my sandwich?" She replied, "we normally do, but they didn't ship any today," and walked away. She sat back down to her chair and continued eating her meal. I was so flabbergasted! I was beginning to think 'why did I even tip her?' We didn't feel welcomed at all. Minutes later, some potential customers walked in, looked around, and walked out. We were beginning to think if we should walk out too. I regret coming here...there's so many other places to choose from, but I picked this place because it looked so quaint and cute.

Worth a visit if you're in the Biloxi area. Family run small breakfast and sandwich place. Nice atmosphere. Beignets were OK, a little heavy, but, better than not having any beignets!
(3)Damon B.
Delicious and fresh brunch items. The seafood items are delicious, as are the vegetable accompaniments. I had the spicy seafood flat which was very good with a nice amount of horseradish. The "spicy" must be in reference to that. The beignets were freshly made to order, and a little more dense than traditionally. Still great, Just a matter of preference. The food is just a bit on the pricey side, as my flat was $11 and came with nothing more than that. Fresh costs more, so it's an understandable reflection in the price.

We decided to try some place new and different, and we definitely succeeded! It's a very casual, cozy place, with great charm. The menu is small but the food is delicious! Loads of flavor and very filling! Great brunch date location! Will come back again!!!
(5)Michael C.
Obviously they have the beignets here. The key to them is the secret recipe which gives them a delectable flavor and consistency that I haven't found anywhere else. Ambiance and character of the old house where the restaurant is located is phenomenal and a small shop adds to the charm and quirkiness of the layout. Breakfast, Brunch, or just Coffee this is a must stop when in Biloxi.
(5)Shannon M.
Woke up with Le Cafe Beignet on my mind. Following my passion I entered the doors of the place and smacked a crabstack right on the lips. Wow again! Today there was something extra good about the crunch! That "crunch" followed through each bite was like cheer after a standing ovation. People this place pleases my palate! !! Service was impeccable! A lip smacking 5 stars!
(5)Dorothy B.
I came on a Thursday afternoon. I was the only customer who sat down to eat besides the locals who came in for beignets to go. I wanted to eat something that I could not get in Northern California. I got the crab stack and beignets. That hit the spot!!! Yummy!!!

After having had some beignets at Cafe Beignet and Cafe Du Monde, my bf decided that he wanted to try beignets in as many cities as possible on our trip. An online search later, and we found ourselves at Le Cafe Beignet. When we got here, the open sign was out, but we couldn't open the door. It turned out, the door was stuck, so an employee had to open it from the inside for us. Anyway, we came around lunch time and the place was empty at first, but then people started filtering in. This place served more than just beignets. Aside from the beignets, I can't quite remember what we ordered, but I can tell you that it was good. They use organic ingredients and lean on the healthier side, kinda different from most southern establishments we've eaten at. Imagine that, a health conscious Southern restaurant. What was memorable about the cafe was their decor. It had a very country feel to it. A little over the top with the wall hangings though. An eample is a wooden children's chair haning from the wall. Mirrors had a gold frame. It definitely looks like it's decorated by a mother or grandmother from a small country town. It had a very homey feel to it. Staff was nice and friendly. After eating there, we came out to a flat tire. So the bf and I had to put in the spare, dirtying our hands in the process. We went back and asked to use their bathroom to wash up. They were very polite and told us to go right ahead. I guess there is some truth to the expression, "Southern hospitality". I'd come back here if I'm ever in Biloxi again, although that's highly improbable.

The building is from 1910 so it has some really nice historic features to it. When you first walk in you notice the nostalgic pieces inside but can get a little confused on where to go to order something. When reach the counter to order the two ladies there do not seem to be in the most pleasant mood to help you out, I think one of them was even the owner. My wife wanted to come here because of the Beignets they are supposed to have but since it was 12 in the afternoon they didn't want to make anymore even though they had enough dough to do so. IT'S IN THE NAME and we could not even order them. We decided to stay and get some other food. The four of us that went, we ordered wraps, lets just say throwing some food inside a wheat tortilla does not make it a wrap, you actually have to wrap it up. The wraps were not worth the $10 each, I would put a price on them around $3. It's stated that the shrimp is straight out of the Gulf but lets be honest here anyone knows that it was frozen shrimp out of a bag that you can buy from Walmart. The decor was cool and comfortable but the food along with customer service needs improvement if a business that has been open for 3 years wants to survive.
(2)Grace D.
Wow, the best Beignets!!! Hot right to our table with the perfect amount of powdered sugar! The staff is so sweet and you want to stay and chat because they are so welcoming! The cutest cafe and furniture too! A must if you visit Biloxi.
(5)Christina F.
I came here before and it was great now they changed. I feel they are too overpriced and not as good of food anymore. We will not be returning.

This is based just on coffee and beignets...I haven't tried any of their breakfast or lunch items. Nice location in some old houses that are being converted to shops and restaurants...I love it when a small downtown area goes in that direction instead of tearing down the old homes or leasing them out to attorneys and bail bondsmen. The house is adorable (they also have a couple of tables outside for nice days)...half is mismatched tables and chairs (which I happen to love...no need to be matchy-matchy) and the other half is a little shopping area. The two women who were working (owners perhaps??) were friendly but seemed very nervous that everything come out just right (new owners perhaps??). They were sweet, though. I wanted to pat them on the shoulder and say "Don't worry! Everything will be work out great! You have a great location and product!" The beignets were HUGE, freshly made when you order, crispy on the outside and creamy-doughy (in a very good way) on the inside, with a liberal coating of powdered sugar (don't wear black!!). The coffee was good...not spectacular, but good. They need bigger cups though...well, maybe not bigger, but wider, as they offer whipped cream on top and then, because they are standard mugs, the whipped cream kinda goes everywhere when you try to drink your coffee! I would go for big, wide-mouthed, coffee cups (with a saucer!) instead of the mugs they use. I think they will work out those bugs in time. They do need to educate themselves on coffee...I always get latte and cappuccino confused and they also were not real clear on the difference. If the other items on the menu are as good as the beignets and if they work out the bugs with the coffee cups, I think they will do really well! (I apologize, again, for the origami cranes in the photo...they are explained in another post.) I thought I should address the service issues others have mentioned...maybe the owner has spoken to her staff as the day we went, they had two people working, not just one as mentioned by other reviewers. One took our order and made the coffee and the other made the beignets. They checked on us often and our food came out promptly. There were three other people there (it is a small place...you aren't going to have huge crowds). I would rather wait a little while for my food than eat food that has been pre-prepared and stuck under a heat lamp. Hopefully they will continue to add employees as needed for their busy times!

This seemed to be a poor choice for a post dinner dessert. While it was open, it was empty, and the fryer had been shut off. The owner said it wasn't a problem to make us an order of beignets as long as we didn't mind waiting a bit. We were happy to wander around, the cafe itself is adorable but we ended up waiting half an hour for the worst dessert I've ever had. The oil had clearly not heated well enough so they were oily and heavy and somehow also burnt. I hope this was an anomaly as the place is called Cafe Beignet.

The crab stack is the most wonderful brunch item ever. When I came here on young man, very cute!, was waiter and cook. I was alone for awhile then 2 couples came in so it took him a long time to get my order out, but that didn't stop the quality of the food being amazing!!!
(5)Rob W.
A very cute place to grab coffee, a snack or a meal. They have great service here and the building is quite charming. They specialize in breakfast and lunch and of course beignets.
(3)Crystal D.
The interior is very cute and trendy but could use some dusting on the decor. I had the seafood stack, my husband had the spicy seafood sandwich and an order of beniegts (sp?) and we're still hungry (we are not large people by any means). The food was tasty but the sizes were a bit small for me. Coffee was over priced for the size. Also, we checked in on the yelp app to get 10% off and saved $1 on a $33 bill? Lastly, I didn't like that my option for tipping was 0%, 15%, 18%, or 20%. I ordered the food at the counter, had to get my own napkins and silverware... Why can't I leave a flat tip? I realize this review sounds really crabby (haha) but I just meant for it to honest. The food was decent but small, the place is cute but could be cleaned, and the beniegts were only so-so with the texture. Compared to other breakfast places I've been, I just expected more.
(3)Regina A.
First time eating their food was a delivery...took a little while (longer than an hour) but when the sweet girl arrived she said the long wait was due to their delivery boy calling out so she had to personally deliver it herself... they usually only deliver around down town Biloxi...I work at the mall so I had to pay an extra 3 bucks.. no big deal! I ordered the Chickado, it was delicious! Especially if you are a mustard fan! yummy.. I also got an iced latte...they forgot to put my vanilla in it... what the heck dude? all-in-all I'd definitely come back to the place and dine in with my boyfriend! He'd love it for sure. :)
(4)Joe B.
Awesome brunch on Sunday very fresh. The prices were great as well! Quiet little coffee shop with good atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly.
(5)Darlene A.
The best Beignet I've found outside of New Orleans! I really liked their cozy atmosphere, sandwiches, gumbo and coffee. This is a great little jewel for the locals just off the beaten path. I come here with family or alone...it's so cozy and the food is nice and light! It's one of my favorite hide-outs for when I'm ready to give myself a treat.
(4)Jim F.
Good selection of foods with a different flair than most places in the Biloxi downtown area. Nice place for light breakfast and lunches. Dog friendly spot which is nice for walking around downtown. Overall good place to chill and relax.
(4)Tom O.
Very good beignets and morning sandwich. Beignets better than cafe du monde in New Orleans
(4)Paul O.
Okay, so I've been to the mecca of Beignet's in NOLA, so I was a little skeptical when I read in their guest book at the counter where someone wrote the words "Better than Cafe Du Monde!!!" (yes, 3 exclamation points). Only one lady working the counter and 2 other tables seated, so it took about 6-7 minutes before she acknowledged us and another 2-3 before taking our orders. She was more than friendly and courteous. I ordered an americano espresso, but she did not know what is was and said you tell me how to make it and I will give it a try, so I did. She did not disappoint, it was perfect and tasty. I take a little cream in my coffee and she suggested an homemade Italian sweet cream, so I gave it a try and boy was it good! I also ordered the Beignet's and that's where it went down hill from there...Order came out and they looked fantastic on the plate. I picked on up and took a bite, meh! they were very dense, very! Bland taste, other than the powdered sugar. My wife and I both said at the same time after a few bites "needs salt". Now, I have never left a beignet sitting on my plate from Cafe Du Monde and we could not eat the last one. I hope this was just a fluke, based on the other reviews, but now I really want some beignet's from NOLA!!
(3)Andrew D.
With beignet in the name, you'd assume they would have beignets ready to be ordered at 12:20pm. We were told it would take 30min. We ordered a veggie strata thinking we'd finish then have beignets. Not only did it take 52mins to receive the beignets, it took 54min to receive the strata. The two girls working did not seem to care at all. No apologies. No reasons to what took so long. The strata was atrocious. It was about 2"x3", served with bagged salad, and a little touch of cheap feta. Horrible food, horrible service.
(1)Dandy S.
Don't enter unless you have plenty of time to kill. The wait was downright painful. Super friendly ,very young staff, but looked like they had very poor organization (couldn't remember what we ordered) food came out at diffent times for all three of us. Got a look into the kitchen and it was clean but the trash was overflowing and needed a good cleanup. Overpriced for what you got. I wouldn't go back.
(2)Becky S.
If you're looking for beignets because it's in the name.... Don't hold your breath. What's worse is they said they had the stuff to make it, but didn't feel like turning the fryer back on. Wraps are okay if you don't mind eating on a sticky table. Eh... Next time I'll just drive all the way to New Orleans or wait until Triplett-Day in downtown Gulfport is open. Bottom line: not worth your money!
(1)Lynn L.
Super cute place! Food was good, coffee was good, atmosphere was relaxed. We were the only ones in there on a Friday morning and the lady who I assume to be the owner came out and chatted with us and made us some extra coffee to go. Very nice of her! She is adorable. Young guy working at the counter was an awkward kid, probably his first job so I'll let it slide :) I'm sure he will get better fast.
(4)Joe B.
8:30am on a Monday morning and we are the only ones here hooray. The waitress/checkout gal was very patient with us as we did have to ask several questions. She remained helpful and professional so job well done. Food was good portion sized but a bit pricey.
(4)Ling W.
We were excited to try this place after reading all the reviews. Our experience was not 4 star, not even close. We walk in and there's one table eating, a worker is scrubbing the floor immediately in front of the counter and she doesn't move or speak with us when we walk up to order. So we stand there off to the side, awkwardly waiting to find out what to do, right next to the girl on the floor. Finally we get a menu and my husband asks about their fish taco special...they tell us they don't have the fish, then they say we don't want that because the fish is frozen and it will take forever to defrost. We can't figure out why they don't have the ingredients for their special, but...we order their veggie quiche, plated and on a sandwich. We wait about 20 minutes for our food, at which point we have to ask for more drinks, as the girl didn't ask if we want refills. Then, our food comes out and it's pretty good. Our dishes are cleared and about a minute later, the same girl who cleared our dishes asks if we ever got our food. (What?). Mind you, there are now two tables in the place. She then asks if we ordered beignets (and yes, she's the same girl who took our order) and then she asks if we got them (and she's the only person running food). This is getting silly, we start thinking. Finally, another 5-10 minutes later, the beignets come out and they are the worst. Greasy, heavy dough. I took one bite and was finished. If you've had beignets in NOLA, you would never eat these and think they are good. Between the weirdness and incompetence of the staff and the overwhelming smell of grease in the place and the awful beignets, despite our good quiches, we will never return. So disappointing. They don't appear to have their act together. After reading all the reviews on this place, not just the recommended ones, what I'm saying appears to be a theme.
(1)Kaci C.
Okay. First of all this place is totally a diamond in the rough. I found it luckily on YELP. The service is great, the food is not only presentable, but delicious! The girls here are stylish, and couldn't be any sweeter. The coffee is just as good as New Orleans. Glad i came here for my morning pit stop! :)
(5)Jeremy T.
Came here for dessert on a lazy friday afternoon before they closed. I only ordered the beignets which are reasonably priced. Service was a little slow since there seemed to be only one waitress. Menu indicates that the cafe au lait and beignets are cafe du monde branded, so i kinda knew what to expect as far as taste. The atmosphere in this restored house is similar to a tea house, not hustling and bustling like you would find in the big easy. But this is sleepy Biloxi after all. Not bad since it was close to the hotel, but nothing special either.
(2)Sierra M.
Very delicious beignets! Good coffee and great atmosphere. The staff is so-so but the management is amazing. Sweet lady willing to go the extra mile to make your experience better.
(3)Matthew H.
Great chickado cucumber and bacon sandwich lived the smokey coffee and the service was great!! Very nice decor a real treat for tourist!!! Charming little cafe a true cafe experience
(4)Jeremy M.
I actually felt sorry for the staff there was only two very young and very flustered girls working and customers were getting nasty. Wasn't busy but our food took about an hour. Food was really good when it came out and worth the wait! Owner needs to step up the staff.
(4)Carlie C.
The Crab Stack was superb! It's practically their veggie egg remy on top of a English muffin with crab on top. Mmmm! Very worth the drop by. I also had the Southern Sweet Cream Latte. That was okay, but it did have a ton of homemade whipped cream on top.
(4)Tori C.
My boyfriend and I decided to stop here for breakfast and ordered 2 sandwiches and a latte. The coffee was pretty good but my boyfriends food came out about 20 minutes ago. He is done with his breakfast and I am still waiting for mine with no acknowledgment from the staff. I would just leave and tell them to keep the sandwich, but you prepay for the food here. Awesome.
(1)Jon A.
I was not impressed. The beignets did not taste anything like those from Cafe Du Monde, the coffee was not good and the kitchen was exceptionally slow.
(1)Ming Y.
Nice cool little place, and it is obviously ran by one person, which is the nice lovely lady will great you at the cash register. we ordered a sandwich and a shrimp salad, the salad was made of the freshest greens you would ever have, and the radish ranch dress was super super yummy. O the coffee, please don't let me forget about the coffee, it was soooo rich, thick, and yummy!!!! we also ordered the beignet, and let me tell you, it was better than the ones we had in New Orleans. for these who complained about the service, and the slowness of the food. please do consider that this is a one person owned and ran place with maybe one or two other person helping out. the lady is also the cook, her food, coffee, desert, and service was all top notch, so please cut them some slack and be patient, as it will worth it when you take the first bite of her food. Only reason i didn't give it 5 star was because the place is small, with a lot of, i mean a lot of decorations. therefore, not a lot of seating area, nor a convient place for a large group either, and as i have mentioned earlier, if you are in a hurry during a lunch break, call in ahead of time, so u won't have to wait too long for these yummy food and awesome coffee!! enjoy!!
(4)Lydia G.
The only reason this place gets one star is because we did eventually get some decent food. Getting it was a true struggle. We ordered fine, but after waiting a good 45 minutes and being 2 of about 8 people there, we decided to check. They were a disaster. Nobody was working on anything and nothing was getting done. People were threatening to quit and rolling their eyes and avoiding the customers, but no food was being prepared. They totally forgot our drinks. We ended up talking with the mother of someone who came in to pick up his paycheck for about 20 more minutes before someone finally came and asked us what it was we ordered. We moved tables twice and stood up at the counter for a long period of time to get this level of service. I love little places like this but I would recommend you to anywhere else. The food we finally got was good but not worth wasting an hour and a half.
(1)Laura B.
Cute place...but, dont come hungry. It takes an hour to get any food. 35 min for one meal. 15 min later another meal. 10 min later we get drinks. 10 min later we get complimentary beignets that were raw. 15 min later the final two meals get served after half our party was done eating. This place is a disaster.
(1)Terry Y.
This is a artsy place. The food is cooked to order so if you are in a hurry, this is not a stop for you. Take your time and enjoy. Not a big over size place; small and charming. You order at the front 'counter' ; find a seat and they will bring the food to your table. Don't forget to get your own flatware. Give this place a try you will not be disappointed.
(5)Elton T.
Glad to have found this great little lunch spot. I really enjoyed the wild turkey sandwich on warm ciabatta. Everything was fresh and tasty. I'll be back!
(4)David C.
Excellent choice for a sweet induced breakfast!. The Latte are sweet, the beignets are covered in powdered sugar, and the breakfast items are equally swimming in sweet goodness. I could not imagine eating here every morning, but for a special treat - go for it!
(5)Acey S.
I love this place! Great vibe, great good...but..if your in a hurry, you might be better going elsewhere. The service is supper friendly. But..not very good. But I'll def come again! Typing this while waiting for the check. And waiting. And waiting..the waitress was very nice and pleasant, but not a good waitress at all.
(2)Valerie F.
Charming and unique atmosphere. Delicious coffee served in mason jars. Super friendly staff. Perhaps the best beignets I've ever had. Very reasonably priced. Got to sample the chicken pot pie soup - and it tastes even better than it sounds! Highly recommend! We come to Biloxi every 6 weeks or so, and we'll definitely be back!
(5)John B.
Very cute establishment with trendy shabby chic decor. Think burlap and lace. You walk in through a gift shop sort of unclear as to where to go. We found a counter, there was a young girl making coffee. It took about 10 mins before we were acknowledged standing there. Someone from the kitchen peaked out and promptly went back in without acknowledgement. Finally the coffee girl says hello and I ask her how it all works, because nothing is clear. She says we order at the counter and she takes the food to the table. We decide to sit outside as we had our dog. We order and pay at the counter and have to leave a tip right then, I personally like to tip after service. We go outside and sit at a wet dirty table, and wait 20 mins for water and choc milk. They come in cute mason jars the choc milk has fresh whipped cream and sprinkles but does not taste like choc at all. 20 mins after that our beignets come out, they are delicious however we aren't given any small plates to eat them on. So I suppose they want their guests to use the wet dirty table? Approx 45 mins after the beignets we get our meals. I had the crab stacks, it was a small portion but done well and tasty. Husband got shrimp and grits, very small portion of mediocre grits with an overwhelming amount of pepper and dried spices with about 5 small shrimp. For the $ it was not good. Daughter ordered the french toast, which was amazing with a good size portion. We were there approx 2 hours, never had our drinks refilled, we were in the sun and thirsty! The waitress was sweet and friendly but did not really offer any service. She did bring the dog water upon request and always had a smile. Overall, it was ok. I wouldn't come back. If you go and sit outside it's unfortunate that the hospital is right next to it with a very loud generator noise which sort of ruins the peaceful atmosphere they have set up. Of course I wouldn't rate based on that. It's just unfortunate.
(2)Juanita E.
Charming little coffee house/restaurant with eclectic decor and great food! I will definitely be back for breakfast or brunch
(5)Andy D.
My wife, daughter and I went at 1000 for breakfast. Unfortunately I had not read all the reviews about them forgetting you or taking forever to bring your food. It took an hour for us to get our food, but they forgot our beignets. I reminded them (twice) about the beignets, but they never came. We left after waiting 20 more minutes. Very good food, terrible service. Complete chaos in the kitchen and no control of orders. Shame. Won't go back again.
(1)R W.
This place is a solid choice for a morning meeting or an afternoon pick me up. The interior is eclectically southern with a mix match of furniture that somehow blends beautifully with the wall decor. Ordered beignets ( extremely fresh) and a flat white with skim milk. Was slightly disappointed with lack of skim milk but the friendly waitress offered silk as a replacement free if charge. Yes, this place is a bit pricey but for the ambiance and the service I think it was just right.
(4)Kim W.
Omg if I could give this place a zero I would!! Okay so I'm not usually an unhappy person but here's my story... Came into the adorable cafe at 12:20, we were greeted nicely and I loved the decor. The blonde with the pink polka dot top, open back, worn with black tights, and combat boots- took our drink order then we placed our food order at 12:30. We ordered a salad, 2 sandwiches, and a soup...we noticed the wait was getting a little long at 30 minutes for the food to come out but we didn't see the blonde so we couldn't ask what was going on. But during that span no one asked us how we were doing or refilled our drinks...it got a little busier and 3 or 4 more parties came walking in to get food...some of the guest waited to be seated but waited so long they left....and the guest that did get told to sit down where ever ended up leaving because it took too long to place an order! Then it turned from 30 minutes to 50 minutes...the blonde finally appeared and said "I'll check on your food"...she disappeared not even coming back to update us. The other party of 5 asked us how long we had waited and we said 50 minutes, thy replied they had waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for their food!!!!!!!!! They waited so long they just walked up then left!!! Then after another 20 minutes our food came out and the blonde said she would give us a 10% discount....seriously not about the discount but omg this is by far the worse experience I had in my life!! And 10% for waiting an hour and 10 minutes for food!!?!?!?!? SERIOUSLY and no apologies!!!! Business owner....seriously get your restaurant together because not only did you lose our business but 4 or 5 other parties businesses....and.....let the bad review flood in....

Great place, delicious beignets (a family recipe), authentic New Orleans coffee, pleasant service. I had the French toast, my husband the steak and cheese breakfast sandwich. Both were excellent! We'll make it a point to go back .
(5)Megan C.
The food was good but the service was terribly slow. We were in restaurant for about an hour before all 5 of us, the only people waiting to eat, got our sandwiches. This is a good place to go if you want to spend a lot of time drinking coffee and talking or something like that but not for someone unwilling to wait a while for food. Also there are no vegetarian options for meals.
(2)Stephanie K.
Horrible service! I don't know how this place stays open! The cafe is adorable and the food is okay but the service is some of the worst I have ever had. I ordered the crab stack for breakfast.... About an hour later they came out with a morning sandwich and basically said "here just eat this we are out of crab" ... Wow.
(1)Charlene T.
My boyfriend & I stopped by Cafe Beignet while we were in Biloxi last week. The decor is unique but unfortunately it feels very cramped inside due to the lack of walking space between tables. On a high note the food was great!!! We had the beignets & two sandwiches...it was definitely worth the detour. I just wished our waitress came by to refill our drinks. Our cups were empty half way through our brunch & we left a bit thirsty...

I love this place! Quaint little cafe in a beautifully restored house. Very neat little area to explore. I love the beignets, but an order has 3.. so bring a buddy. Good coffee too!
(5)Dave W.
I almost don't wanna tell people about this place. It's my little sneak away spot for a consistently good breakfast when I'm in Biloxi. The crab stack is killer as Well as the egg strata. Just keep it between us ok. Oh the reason I'm posting is because you get 10% off your bill with a check in.
(4)Logan F.
Arguably the best beignets I have ever had, including cafe du monde. The coffee was flavorful and served in mason jars. The crab stack was delicious, and it had some of the best remoulade sauce ever. A must eat.
(5)Ashley A.
I absolutely love this place. The cafe itself is so cute! Always smells great when I walk in and service is so friendly. They honestly have better beignets than cafe du monde in my opinion but I'm also not hating on du monde whatsoever. Their coffees are on point as well. Unfortunately, every time I come here I get the same thing because it's what I'm craving but it doesn't ever fail to be delicious. Great place to catch some breakfast or brunch. I definitely suggest coming here and grabbing something to eat of you're rolling through.
(5)Jennifer W.
I love this place!!! Ever since I discovered their sweet cream iced lattes, I've been back every weekend. The beignets are really good too, I'd recommend getting the sweet cream cheese dip with them, though they are amazing by themselves. Everything that I've tried here has been delicious, and the décor is quite charming. I highly recommend this cafe!
(5)Matt M.
Skimpily Amazing ,Great food in a Homey Feeling Setting ,it's a bit small and dose get busy so be patient you won't regret it I had the French Toast with Strawberry & Banana with Homemade cream cheese frosting not big on sweet food but this one was a Hit!
(5)Chastity H.
The food is fresh & satisfying, the owners are sweet, & the decor is quite adorable. Go here when you're in Biloxi!
(5)Christopher K.
This place is cute and quaint with a unique menu full of the hostess' great grandmothers inspired meals. It's funny though, with gems like this in your backyard, why do locals still keep sending us to Waffle House and IHop?
(5)Rachel R.
This place is cute and amazing. They serve breakfast all day! I went with a coworker and we both ordered the beignets I also ordered the morning breakfast OMG everything was Amazing! everything is cooked right then, which I love! the beignets were hot fluffy. I will come back if I ever come back to Biloxi.
(5)Jason H.
i wish i could give zero stars. terrible service. terrible owner attitude. it doesn't matter how cute or quaint the establishment is if there's no functionality. dreadful. i suggest that you don't go.

I really want to like this place and unfortunately my experience at Le Cafe Beignet has been mediocre. First of all I would much rather support a locally-owned business than a big chain place. I would love to see a place like this thrive. The good: 1. the inviting atmosphere. The cafe is adorned in beautiful color and sort of a retro-inspired, shabby-chic type of decor. 2. good location. The bad: service. The staff working there that day was either inefficient, unexperienced/ under trained, forgettable, understaffed, or not paying attention. Maybe all the above. I order a cup of coffee and a sandwich and sit down at a table near register. 2 or 3 more people in line behind me place their order and go to their tables. Instead of patiently waiting for 10 minutes I should have just asked for my coffee again because she must have forgotten about it while tending to other customers. At this point I was still thinking "That's ok, I can wait if they are busy. Maybe what I ordered takes longer than other stuff." So I waited. Almost 30 minutes after I placed my order, a young lady delivers my sandwich to my table. This is after some of the people that ordered after me had been served their coffee and left. Still no coffee for me. All she said was "Here you go." and she quickly turned around and walked away as I politely tried to inquire about my coffee. I'm still thinking "That's ok, people forget stuff sometimes." So I get up and ask the person who took my order about my coffee. So finally I get it, after she asks me what I wanted again... *sigh* My sandwich was ok. It was somehow extremely hot inside I almost burnt my mouth. All of this happened around 10:30 A.M. on a weekday while half the tables are unoccupied and I'm sitting at a table in a direct view from the register. I hope they were just having an "off" day. The coffee was nothing special and definitely not worth all the hassle. *sigh*

The beignets are decadently delicious. As was the cafe au lair and gumbo I had here. I love this place and the decor too. I only wish it opened a little earlier than 9am. Next time in Biloxi, I will back by here for sure.

While staying in Temporary Family Lodging on Keesler Air Force Base we got to know one of our "neighbors" who was a single enlisted guy with no wife or kids, thousands of miles away from his family in California, temporarily stationed at Keesler for some additional training. When we found out his 33rd birthday would be spent lonely and without family or friends we decided to get him some crawfish etouffee from Desporte and Sons (see my review) and some beignets. We found Le Cafe Beignet in the directory provided in our room and chose it because the word "beignet" was right in the name. Le Cafe Beignet is a small restaurant/bakery in a cute little building that houses other small businesses. I love supporting local businesses, so this was right up my alley. When we told the woman behind the counter about our birthday guy who the beignets were intended for, she actually threw in a fourth for free!!! So nice!!! And I hope that spirit of going the extra mile is what brings back these small, local businesses slowly but surely. You don't get that customer service at Walmart! Oh and also birthday guy told us that the beignets were moist and delicious =)
(5)Dianna W.
The food was pretty good, but they were out of EVERYTHING. No gumbo, no mimosas, no butter pecan coffee, and no paper towels. My husband and I were really looking forward to our lunch there, but definitely left a bit disappointed. The lemonade was off and so was my Italian cream latte, which was only lukewarm. I generally love little local places like this one, but I just can't give them the best overall review.

Cool old cottage serves to house this inauspicious, charming little restaurant in downtown Biloxi. I enjoyed the beignets with a cup of cafe' au Lait with the adorable staff. I was greeted with alacrity and served similarly. The beignets had a bit more chew than cafe du monde but in a good way. The recipe is completely different as these are more savoury than sweet. The coffee was absolutely perfect not the molten lava hot variety some restaurants try to serve but just perfect for me and brewed perfectly. The menu was ambitious and without pretence. I look forward to sampling the menu in the future.

Fifteen minutes after ordering a Morning Sandwich and café au lait, I received a lukewarm cup of coffee with no spoon, no sugar, no napkins. 5 minutes later, the waitress came back around and I asked her for a spoon, sugar and napkins. She left, came back with creamer and napkins only (no spoon) and raced off again. Another much friendlier waitress came by and asked if I needed anything. I told her the situation and she left and came back with sugar, a spoon and a fresh hot cup of café au lait. Finally, after 20 minutes, I had my coffee! After 25 minutes, they brought me my sandwich. Their menu says it's served with fruit but all I got was one strawberry. The sandwich was delicious but not worth the long wait and poor service. Not many people in the restaurant either. For the same money I spent here, I'll treat myself and a friend to breakfast at Wafflehouse or iHop and get faster and friendlier service.
(2)Garett K.

(1)Tom G.
(4)Stephaine P.

(4)Rob W.
(3)Lydia G.
(5)Jesse S.
(1)Tricia B.
(4)Melinda M.
(1)A A.
The crab stack is the most wonderful brunch item ever. When I came here on young man, very cute!, was waiter and cook. I was alone for awhile then 2 couples came in so it took him a long time to get my order out, but that didn't stop the quality of the food being amazing!!!
(5)Regina A.

(4)Darlene A.
(4)Barb L.
(3)Megan N.
(1)Orlando L.
(1)Janet P.
I don't recommend going on a Monday. There was one person working the register, making the coffee and cooking the meals, and another who brought the food out. The food was really pricey for what you get. I suggest sitting close to the counter so they don't forget you. Just go for the chicory coffee or an espresso.
(1)Stephen S.
Had the Crab stack and breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was a little bland and had a bit too much mayonnaise on it but I'd rate it a B. The crab stack was definitely an A+. All the flavors complemented each other very well. I strongly recommend a visit here.

I actually felt sorry for the staff there was only two very young and very flustered girls working and customers were getting nasty. Wasn't busy but our food took about an hour. Food was really good when it came out and worth the wait! Owner needs to step up the staff.

The Crab Stack was superb! It's practically their veggie egg remy on top of a English muffin with crab on top. Mmmm! Very worth the drop by. I also had the Southern Sweet Cream Latte. That was okay, but it did have a ton of homemade whipped cream on top.

Okay. First of all this place is totally a diamond in the rough. I found it luckily on YELP. The service is great, the food is not only presentable, but delicious! The girls here are stylish, and couldn't be any sweeter. The coffee is just as good as New Orleans. Glad i came here for my morning pit stop! :)

Very delicious beignets! Good coffee and great atmosphere. The staff is so-so but the management is amazing. Sweet lady willing to go the extra mile to make your experience better.

Great chickado cucumber and bacon sandwich lived the smokey coffee and the service was great!! Very nice decor a real treat for tourist!!! Charming little cafe a true cafe experience

Awesome.

I was not impressed. The beignets did not taste anything like those from Cafe Du Monde, the coffee was not good and the kitchen was exceptionally slow.

Only reason i didn't give it 5 star was because the place is small, with a lot of, i mean a lot of decorations. therefore, not a lot of seating area, nor a convient place for a large group either, and as i have mentioned earlier, if you are in a hurry during a lunch break, call in ahead of time, so u won't have to wait too long for these yummy food and awesome coffee!! enjoy!!

A must eat.

Charming little coffee house/restaurant with eclectic decor and great food! I will definitely be back for breakfast or brunch

Wow.

Skimpily Amazing ,Great food in a Homey Feeling Setting ,it's a bit small and dose get busy so be patient you won't regret it I had the French Toast with Strawberry & Banana with Homemade cream cheese frosting not big on sweet food but this one was a Hit!

I will come back if I ever come back to Biloxi.

i wish i could give zero stars. terrible service. terrible owner attitude. it doesn't matter how cute or quaint the establishment is if there's no functionality. dreadful. i suggest that you don't go.
(1)Dianna W.

The food is fresh & satisfying, the owners are sweet, & the decor is quite adorable. Go here when you're in Biloxi!
