Cora's Restaurant and Bar is adjacent to The White House Hotel on the Coast. We stopped by the bar for drinks and appetizers and were wowed by the quality of our concoctions and the food was wonderful also. Try the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes! Fantastic wait staff and beautiful atmosphere!

Eh I've had better, went to happy hour. There are better happy deals around the beach, but the bartender was very attentive, and the inside was very quiet and clean.

A nice little boutique hotel restaurant! The White House is fabulous & Cora's is too! We snacked in the bar at night...they have a wonderful wine list & the prices are reasonable, Belle Glos Pinot Noir $14/5 oz pour! Shared the meat & cheese board...nice selection of Brie, maytag blue cheese & white cheddar accompanied by prosciutto, hard salami & sopprosetta. It was served with homemade toasts, olive tapenade & cherry compote. We also shared the arancini risotto & it was yummy! Had a nice little breakfast this morning. The restaurant is beautiful & the staff was so nice & helpful! I had the fruit plate...a nice mix of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cantaloupe & honeydew sprinkled with a bit of powdered sugar. Ordered a side of applewood smoked bacon that was awesome & came with 4 big pieces, yum! Also had the toast...my mom had the biscuits, they looked so good! If we are ever in Biloxi again we will definitely stay at the White House & eat at Cora's!

White House has been beautifully remodeled on the outside in a southern charm way so I was quite disappointed when I walked in and felt like I was in a modern hotel...like Vegas. Cora's restaurant was smaller than I expected but the decor was put together horribly. Too many textures and designs (creepy pictures, trees, & various curtains). The food was good though...the only complaint is the container that holds the creamer for the coffee isn't practical. I don't think I'll return unless someone else pays.

Shrimp and grits are my favorite. Love being able to take my glass upstairs for an after diner drink on the roof. Great date night place

The building is nice, the decor is even better with the nice couches and chairs in the entrance. But the food was over priced in my honest opinion. There was 15 of us in my party therefore we expected somewhat of a wait. But on this rainy Wednesday night we were the only people eating here. It took 50 minutes to get our food. The staff apologized and we weren't upset. The waitresses even admitted that there was a breakdown in the kitchen. My Delmonico Ribeye was medium as I ordered but it wasn't warm at all and the asparagus were soggy. I commend the manager on his apologies but hopefully it will be better if I visit again.

Had to ask waitress twice for bread, we were her only table.Shrimp salad was served sans shrimp, that came separately. The French onion soup was as thick and black as motor oil. The burnt taste was unsuccessfully covered by kitchen bouquet. We won't be back.

We tried this restaurant when we stayed at the White House hotel. It is a gorgeous space, very unique. Our server, while young, tried hard to please us and was attentive. The manager talked with us throughout and after our meal. Our wine, apps, and meals were hit and miss. Overall, the spices and sauces were pretty bad, bland, thick, etc...I had to send my meal back b/c the pasta was so overcooked, it was soggy. My husband's meal (fish) was pretty good. Some of my wine was bad, but that was probably more reflective of my choices than anything else, but I basically ordered all their sweet whites and only two of five were decent. My salad was good. My husband's scallops were good but expensive for four. I had to ask for a different salad dressing because whatever they gave to me was thick, pale green, and tasteless (I found out later it was an avocado blend). Their desserts, from local patisserie French Kiss, were both pretty good, but they ruined my red velvet cake by putting strawberry sauce and whipped cream on it (??) and they did something similar on my husband's dessert. They took my meal off the bill and gave us a significant military discount. Our bill went from about $150 to $100. My husband commented, "If I had to pay $150 for that meal, I would be really upset." I agree. We both thought the food itself was deserving of 2-3 stars, although again, the service tries hard and the atmosphere is very pretty. When I mentioned the problems to the server, she mentioned one of their dishes, the risotto, had been sent back to the kitchen all night due to 'no taste' and when I mentioned the problems with the sauces and spices to the front desk staff, he knowingly nodded and said 'I agree.' So I think the staff knows of the problems, I hope they can train up their chef better or get someone else in the kitchen because this could be a fantastic restaurant but at this point, it's barely average.

Cannot say I love this place. The building is beautiful and elegant, immaculately clean and gorgeous. The restaurant, and the food, however... is inconsistent and could use much improvement in my opinion. Ok, they do have a large menu with enough options, including various small plates, steaks, pasta, soup, salad and seafood. We have had some delicious soup that was seasoned well and served very hot, just the way I like my soups. The portion was more than generous. Unfortunately we felt many other dishes on the menu was not prepared very well... We did not find them worth the $$, despite the large portions. I thought my meal was rather bland and overcooked. Throughout our several visit to Cora's, our server (different person each time) was friendly but generally awkward and amateurish. However the manager is personable and nice. Next time we will perhaps try their brunch menu...

Ate here with a party of 8. We had to sit in the hotel lobby because the largest table would only seat 7. Pros - decent decor. Nicer than an Applebee's, but I wouldn't call it tasteful or elegant. Cons - where do I start??? Service was awful. We had 2 waitresses. They went around the table taking our order and forgot to take mine!! I had to go find one of them to put in my order. We got 6 appetizers (2 of each of the meat and cheese tray, scallops and crab cakes). The scallops were NOT fresh. The cheese was ok. When the salads came out they told the 4 of us that ordered a wedge that they were out of blue cheese so they gave us peppercorn instead. Except they also ran out of that so we only got a small little dab of dressing. So basically we all got a chunk of dry lettuce. My $50 steak was not only Overcooked, but it was also cold and tough. Same with the other 2 guys that ordered steaks. The plate was warm so my guess is that it sat under a heat lamp for a while. One guy ordered a pasta dish that was gummy like it had been sitting under a heat lamp while they finished burning our steaks. And the last insult was when we tried to order the desserts they only had 1 piece of most of the choices left. It was probably the worst experience I've had at a "gourmet" restaurant on the coast. Especially one that ended with a $900 bill. Thank goodness it was a business expense. I won't be back.

Let me preface this by saying i've never written a bad review on anything, but i feel truly compelled to in this case. I've lived in major cities on both coasts so i've seen the best and worst of it all when it comes to restaurants. Quite frankly, Cora's is one of the worst dining experiences i've ever had. I consider myself relatively easy to please as long as some effort is put into the execution. Everything about this place is a terrible cliche. The red decor is a shocking clash from the old world beauty and charm of the building. The menu/food lacks any creativity and flavor. It's as if they raided the frozen section of Sam's....completely unacceptable for what they charge. And the worst part was the service. They weren't rude or overbearing but they could not get anything right from ordering drinks to the timing of the meals to accurate charges on the bill. To make matters worse, the server just spouted excuse after excuse as to why everything was going horribly wrong. And as i was thankfully leaving, i overheard another server making excuses and apologizing to another patron for her steak being cooked in a pan that was previously used for cooking crawfish. Well, she was allergic to crawfish and her tongue was already feeling funny.....and you know what the server said, "Sometimes that happens." Really, that's all you have to say?!? Cora's has managed to deceive and lure unsuspecting patrons with the razzle dazzle of the hotel itself, but the truth is that it's a poorly run kitchen that's wildly overpriced with no culinary ingenuity and pays no attention to detail for safety or overall dining experience. Do yourself a favor and eat at any of the casino restaurants down the road.
