Cute little place. Came in a week or so ago with the BF not really knowing what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. Food is simple yet full of flavor. They managed to make really killer veggies which to me, is a feat, because veggies are usually so bland that they're gross to me. But these had lots of garlic and olive oil and were just plain delicious! I had the chicken marinara dish and it was pretty good as well. It reminds me of braciole that my mom makes at home but with chicken instead of flank steak and with ham in addition to cheese for the filling. Delish. I got a side of pasta with a pink sauce and the pink sauce was so fantastic! It was 100x better than the red sauce by itself. Note to self, when I return to get the pink sauce again. Sean had toasted ravioli and onion rings. Yep. And his arteries are still intact...not sure how that guy does it. He reported that it was "alright" but that's about all I can ever get out of him when I question him on his food-related opinions, lol. The bread here is really delicious and tastes homemade and fresh. The butter it comes with smells like popcorn butter (which at first grossed me out) but it is actually mixed with honey which makes it very sweet. I didn't mind it but it wasn't my fave either...kinda wish they could bring out just some plain salted butter to go with the bread in case you aren't in the mood for something sweet...it made it seem like a dessert. Also had their house cab which was really cheap and still managed to be good. The owner(?) offered me a glass of zinfandel and it was really good! I'm glad he let me try that since I normally do not order zinfandels. He also came by our table a few times to chat with us which was a nice touch. Not just the usual spiel/corniness of most table touches but genuine conversation. That, I can appreciate. I wish more business managers/owners took the time to get to know individual guests although I could see how some folks who are out on a date might find it a tad awkward. At any rate, can tell the husband and wife team work hard to keep guests satisfied. I'd definitely go back again. Casual atmosphere and food on the menu that my boyfriend would eat (he's pickier than your 3 year old, I promise you.) The atmosphere was nice overall, although he said he found the layout of the restaurant "weird" which I could understand but hey, as long as the food is good, I don't really care about the layout so much. Good quality food for a reasonable price, unpretentious family atmosphere, etc.

Amazing local family owned restaurant. First time here an I was really impressed. Food was superb and service was excellent. Will definitely go back! Recommend the chicken florentine. Seafood pasta was also very tasty. The house salad was one of the best I have ever had, as were their onion rings as strange as that sounds. I would highly recommend eating here. For what you get, it is well worth the money.

Truly a family restaurant. Wayne and his wife Sara have established an excellent restaurant with, I am sure, a strong and loyal following. We were visiting the area and Yelped this place. This is not a fancy restaurant but by any standards it is excellent. Shannon, our waitress and favorite niece, did a nice job without hovering. All of the food was creative, better than what one might expect from a more traditional "family" restaurant. Not a "mashed potatoes and gravy" place. The clincher for five star rating was the desert. Four homemade choices presented table side. We tried two among the four of us. Both superb. If ever in the area again we would definitely drive the extra to visit again.

Great family run restaurant! Finally tried this place after a few years of knowing about it. Had a coupon, so I figured I had little to lose. What a great decision! Greeted and seated by Sara, Wayne's wife, our server was excellent and attentive, also flexible with my menu modification requests. Plenty of good options on the menu to choose from. Steaks seemed a little pricey, but I'm sure they're good(did not order). There was a seafood special, so I had that, my wife and my daughter were also very happy with their choices. One of the surprise items was the twice baked potatoes, they were great! Like a baked potato filed with roasted potato wedges with seasoning and a little cheese. Everything is served in reasonable proportions and that allows you to possibly have...dessert. The real surprise for me came when Wayne brought out the dessert tray. We splurged and ordered since my coupon had a bigger discount with a higher spend amount. The desserts were all fantastic, the cakes (chocolate/raspberry and coconut), were the perfect blend of light and moist. The crime brûlée was rich and had a perfect crust on the top. The pricing for the desserts was a very pleasant surprise, only $5 each. Only disappointment was that the espresso machine was not working. We will for sure be going back. They have interesting specials and rotating 'theme nights' too. This is a great choice for a nice dining experience in St.Peters.

This was unfortunately a poor experience all around. There was only one server at 5pm on a weeknight, we didn't think it would be a problem since there were only 2 tables seated, including ourselves. It was a struggle the entire meal just to get drinks refilled. We aren't sure where our server kept disappearing to. My daughters Crab Cakes were doused in Mississippi come back sauce and tasted more like salmon patties than crab cakes. She thought the sauce was spicy, so if you are wary of spice, I recommend the sauce on the side. I was the most disappointed in the Chicken Modiga. The cheese was hard, rubbery and had cooled with bubbles in the cheese...obviously microwaved. The "ham" was almost unrecognizable as it was overlooked to the point of being brown, what little of it there was. The broccoli on the side had been steamed to a pulp, it was brown in color also. After 2 bites and giving up, our server asked if everything was ok. I explained the issues. She said she was sorry and brought us our bill. Microwaved chicken and all. This one was so bad, I won't be going back for a second chance.

My fiance and I have been here twice now and we will most definitely be back! GREAT food and even better service! Literally as soon as we walked in the door Wayne, the owner knew who we were and which table we sat at the last time we were in. Julie has been our waitress both times and it just amazes me that she actually remembers us! Last night my fiance got the seafood pasta and said "hands down its the best seafood pasta I've ever had." I had the Alfredo both times, the first time without chicken and the second chicken I asked for breaded chicken, I will have the breaded chicken every single time! AMAZING. We highly recommend Three Families to everyone it is great food at an amazing price.

This family owned restaurant is exactly why we support our local restaurant owners. I knew it had been there for a few years but we never went until last Friday night. the host greeted us with a smile I'm a very pleasant the service was excellent and more importantly the owners were walking around greeting people asking them how their dinner was I had ordered crab cakes for dinner they weren't cook enough for me I'll ask the waitress if she would just nuke them for a few minutes and they would be fine the owner wouldn't have it he insisted upon making me a new batch serve them to me himself. kudos to this family owned business will be back again

Great family run establishment that will surprise you. Husband and wife owner will come to your table and shake your hand. We had onion rings and split spaghetti and meatballs. Huge and very tasty. Interesting onion ring dip with a kick! We did not expect this type of food and service.

First time visiting this restaurant. We did not realize they have brunch on this particular Sunday, but they told us we could basically order anything off their regular menu. We hadn't even asked for this option so we were very pleased when they offered it. The portions were big. My 6 and 7 year old boys split the kids chicken tenders and even they couldn't finish their meals. My husband got the buffalo chicken wrap and he liked it. I ordered the strawberry spinach salad and added chicken. The raspberry vinaigrette paired well with it. Even though it was a fairly basic salad, although delicious, it was priced right. The owners treated us like family. When we left my husband and I talked about how you don't see that kind of service anymore. We will be back!

Even though it's tucked away in a St. Peters strip mall next to Jimmy John's and Little Caesar's, you need to keep walking and get in the door. It's a cute little place with a small menu but decent sized bar. Every time you'll see the same old standbys on the menu but they also have fun monthly specials that are great to try. My favorite monthly special was a delicious paella for a European themed tour while this month's menu involved fall themed foods like a pumpkin topped pasta or a sausage dish. One of my favorite menu options are the scallops. I love that I can come in, get an appetizer, bread, salad/soup (the soups are incredible here I must say) and then my main dish which I always get with their veggies and potato of the day. There's always a different potato option and they've all been good. Even the veggies taste special. Then they have the nerve to bring around a dessert tray and I never remember to make room but one of these times... On top of all that, the atmosphere is great. I admit I'm about 20 years younger than a lot of the other diners but the rest of you young people are missing out. They have cocktail specials, acoustic entertainment, and the manager comes around every time and greets you and talks about the dishes you ordered. It's fantastic service and a gem of St. Charles County.

The food was amazing! Italian influences. The desserts are made in house and so yummy as well! Great in-house sauce with appetizers. Atmosphere was a little dated, but clean and very friendly.

A coupon from the Entertainment Book brought us in and I am glad it did!! Very quaint restaurant and very attentive server. The food was very good, I ordered the fried artichoke hearts and I am pretty picky about those because I often make them myself and they were very good, very flavorful !! I had the ravioli and my husband had the past con broccoli with chicken added for 2 dollars and it was a very good portion of chicken. Both our meals were very good. Some small things I appreciated.. very good bread and nice soft room temperature butter.. I hate when I get ice cold butter that you can not spread!! Also I had the house Chardonnay it it was very nice. The dinner salad was nicely put together with a lovely house dressing, Fresh flowers on the table and nice lighting. We will be back now that we found this little gem,

We just had a birthday dinner here for my wife, reserved the family room here and had an overall good time. One of the owners came by once our entire party showed and brought extra tables in just to give us a bit more room, which was very much appreciated. I think the highlight of the night was the cake made by the owners wife. It was a white cake with a layer of strawberry filling and home made icing. It was one of the best cakes I have ever had, and was a big hit all up and down the table. The good news is that they will make just about any flavor of cake you want, and the server even said if you call ahead and know you will want a certain type of cake, they will make it and serve it by the piece, and just add the rest to the dessert cart for other patrons that day! How cool is that??! Cake and customer service grabs that final star for Three Families. Fantastic!

We were greeted by the owners who are extremely nice and solicitous. Having been on the road in an RV eating too much fast food for over 2 weeks, we were struck by how clean the restaurant was. The menu goes from Italian to southern. The salad greens were very fresh. The pasta as well. They boast that many things are made in house. The meatballs were large and delicious. As stuffed as we were, we had dessert which was also good. The owners were so nice everything may have looked and tasted even better than it was. He even gave us a taste of a new wine he brought in from Madrid on our way out. He said he didn't want to serve anything you could find on a store shelf.

A very friendly restaurant with decent food and a welcoming atmosphere. The steaks were huge and pasta great. My son wasn't a fan of his seafood, but he loved my steak :-). I loved that they had a family room for larger groups and booths that gave us some privacy.

We just moved to St Peters and were looking for a good place for dinner. I cannot praise Three Families Restaurant enough. 1) Atmosphere - Relaxing! After working all day, I do not want to eat somewhere with music blaring so loudly that I can't hear my husband. The decor is tasteful and the lighting was low and peaceful. 2) Service - Fast and respectful. The waiter actually talked to us instead of just being an "order taker" and running away from the table. The owner comes by to check on your meal. You can tell they really care. 3) Food - Really the first two don't matter if the food isn't good. It was better than good, it was GREAT. I had the Pasta con Broccoli and my husband has the Beef Stroganoff Special. Both were delicious. The salad that came with the meal was excellent. It wasn't some mix from a bag. We both had dessert, we couldn't resist. He had Bread Pudding and I had a Lemon Cake. We had to take half of our dinner home so we had room for dessert but now we have a delicious lunch for tomorrow. Prices are reasonable. I would eat here any day over a chain restaurant. We will be back often!

Came here for my mother and sister in laws birthdays. The ravioli and cheese bread where great appetizers. I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes. The country fried steak was awesome but the mashed potatoes weren't that good and the vegetables to. I had some of my wife's steak and it was delicious. Cooked perfect and juicy. Next time I'll be getting the steak.

I was pleasantly surprised upon walking into this little strip mall storefront restaurant. They have given it a pleasant decor and created rooms, booths, and tables that make it into a real restaurant feel. The owner-wife was at the entrance and must know all the regulars. She immediately knew it was our first time and pleasantly told how it was family owned,, etc. Once we were seated, the owner-husband came by, again a very nice person, to welcome us and tell a little about his place. Service was very good, but a bit unusual in that our waitress also tended the bar. So we really didn't see her that much. However, all the other staff (hostess, owner, etc.) were good to come by to clear plates, see what else we needed, etc.) I like to have a sparkling water with dinner, rather than a soda or alcohol, so I usually ask if they have San Pellegrino or Voss. A surprisingly large number of places do not. This time our server immediately said that they have club soda (probably because she is also the bartender). So kudos to her. Usually I have to make that suggestion. So why only 3 stars instead of 4? I really wanted to give 4, but...dinner salads were good (nice mix of greens and color, good cheese, tasty dressing), wife's chicken marsala was very tasty, as were her potato cakes, but my country fried steak and mashed potatoes were just bland. The meat really had no seasoning, nor did the potatoes. The breading was okay, but again was really just breading. And the milk gravy was just gravy-fied milk with a bunch of pepper. Perhaps its my own preference, but give an entree some flavor. Even if I don't like your interpretation, it's better than bland. So overall, pretty many hits, but one swing and whiff. I'm guessing that the next visit will be all hits, though.

I am sitting here after working out at 24 Hour Fitness for 4 hours today. I am hungry! ! Wayne Sanders is helping me with my selection. I was going to have the Shrimp Scampi Special for $14.95 but, after looking at the menu, Wayne suggested the Cajun Tilapia, along with a tast fettucino pasta, a garden salad with a perfect salad with Mississippi Comeback Dipping Sauce. I am in heaven. The fish was prepared perfectly. Being a boy from Baltimore and Colorado, I know fresh fish. The blackened spices were scrumptious. The bread is nice and chewy and fresh. The honey butter is quite tasty. Since I am abstaining from alcohol due to an upcoming brain scan, I am enjoying a Tonic with lime. I am on my second one. Alcohol is so overrated. This pairs quite nicely. They have a nice bar here with an excellent selection of wine which I will be back to try. Wayne is asking me about dessert but I am stuffed. I weighed myself this morning and I am a big boy at 247 lbs. I need to get out of here before Dessert, as I have some Blue Bunny Chocolate Mint Ice cream calling my name from InTown Suites on Veteran's Memorial Parkway where I am living until I buy a place nearby in October. Ok Im weak. The Orange Dream Cicle pie looks grreat. For. $5 Im going for it. That's all folks! Yours in Christ Jesus, Will A proud newbie at Immanuel Lutheran St, Charles

Came in today for a late lunch and were the only ones in the restaurant. That happens on a Tuesday at two I suppose. We had the shrimp po boy and the Reuben. My po boy was very good and the toppings were a compliment to the sandwich rather than something to just be picked off! The rueben had good reviews too...Though the decision to put Gouda on a Reuben was odd. This place is a much nicer family friendly place than you would expect. I expected much more bar than restaurant and was very pleasantly surprised. There are so few restaurant choices in the area and it was a delight to find a good one.

Love this little hole in the wall! Ive been here three times now, and the chef has come out to check on us and talk about the food every time. You can see he really loves this place and his creations. Try the chicken Florentine. It is delish!

Great service , clean , cozy and great owners . So why only 3 stars ??? Drinks great , appetizers great but both main dishes were very weak ! Worse spaghetti and meatballs I have ever tried ! Meatballs burnt and dry . Sauce too thick and tasted burnt .

A very friendly, homey, family-friendly restaurant. We started with some soft pretzels with a bacon-honey mustard sauce, they were delicious and perfect. I ordered the chicken modega, my husband had chicken parmesian. With it you got soup or salad--he ordered the salad, which was a VERY generous amount of leaf lettuces, I had the vegetable soup which had great flavor. Both entrees came with pasta and vegetables, which was mostly long-cut carrots. I'm not a carrot fan, so had I known that I would have asked them to hold the veggies. Our food was very good and I'd order it again. The owner, Wayne, stopped by our table to say hi too. I think that is a nice touch--their whole motto is "a place where families can gather" and having the owner welcome people as if they were friends or family furthers the message. There was only one minor issue with our entire experience and that was the waitstaff coming by too many times. It wasn't a huge deal, but after one guy asking how our food was or if we needed refills, then our waitress asking, then the girl with the water asking, it got to be a little much. I've already recommended it to family members, and I do the same to you. That's the idea, isn't it?

This place is a hidden gem in St. Peter's. It was the first time I had eaten here and the food was amazing. Definitely the best in town. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was thrilled. their crab cakes are delicious especially with the Mississippi Come back sauce. Pretty much that sauce on anything is amazing. I got the seared scallops and I also tried some of the chicken Florentine and it was the best. Their chocolate creme breule is amazing. The owners were walking around and making sure everything was to our liking. It was such a comfortable and welcoming environment. Definitely going back.

Three Families has an amazing ambiance on the inside, the tables were cute, nice booths. The owner brought out the chef to meet people, the food was amazing and even the steamed vegetables as a side was awesome! I don't know how they do their baked potato but it's NOTHING like I've ever seen or tasted! Their chili is amazing. Definitely going back!!!

I went with my mom to try this restaurant out for the first time. The service was really nice, the owner even came out and introduced himself. My mom ordered a salad and I ordered their special for August which was seafood pasta which came with a soup or salad. I choose a Caesar salad. When our salads came they also gave us bread. While my salad tasted pretty good, I noticed my salad was double the size of my mothers and the bread was hard as a rock. My pasta was an ok size, but I feel like I should have gotten more for the price. The sauce tasted burnt and shrimp and scallops were incredibly small (size of marshmallows). The seafood also tasted like it was frozen, not fresh. When we received our check we noticed they charged extra for ordering a Caesar salad instead of the alternatives. Overall the quality of the food was not worth the price.

This review is 6 weeks or more overdue. So please hang in here to the end, and prayerfully you will allow the people of this great establishment to serve you. As a Pastor, I meet people all the time, constantly getting a new name, that sadly I won't, or I'll struggle to remember thrown at me constantly. But 6 weeks, and just one visit later I remember Wayne (the owner) and Haley (my server) names. WHY? Was the food that good? Was the decor that captivating? Was the time there with a friend that unforgettable.....without them-NO! Don't mistake my 5 star rating, the food was good, the decor was good as well...and my time with my friend was dear...but all of those things were made phenomenally better by these two souls. Some of you will wonder what did I have ( I had the house salad with ranch, their homemade ravioli, and their special (they don't have it regularly) fried okra as an appetizer. Now these are marginal choices, and by far not the most expensive, but what they ultimately served me was 5 star service. I got to know them...to the very ends of me being able to remember their names...and faces to I invite you to go by, order up, and allow them to bless you as they did my friend and I. (no I didn't witness to them, nor invite them to my church, or tell them of their need for JESUS....didn't need to....at the end of the day they sold me on them (their honesty, the confidence in their product, and their joy of serving me) and I'll be back to experience this again, and again.

The service was outstanding but the food was mediocre. I had the chicken parmesan and it was very dry. My boyfriend had the cowboy cut steak and while the chef nailed the rareness, it was poorly seasoned. The best part of the meal was the salad with house dressing. We would definitely not go back.

Tried Three Families for first time this evening. Pleasantly surprised with interior, since it is a strip mall. Service was not great. Not good really. Server was very young and seemed a little inexperienced. Was too young to bring alcohol to table, that resulted in a Stella cider being delivered instead of a Stella beer, and a glass of cab being auctioned off at several tables around us before finally being delivered halfway through my steak. Our table of two was somewhat ignored. The food however, was excellent. My strip was a large 12 ounce cut, cooked perfectly to med rare, while still having a nice char. The mixed veg was also executed with perfection. Bright, crisp, wonderfully seasoned broccoli, green beans, carrot, and onion. Really simple dish that a lot of places can't get right. This was perfect. Fried Italian potatoes were better than average. The dish was worthy of its price point. Not the case with many of its competitors in the area. My wife's carbonara was a good dish. Little light on flavor. But still a quality carbonara. Look forward to sampling some other pasta dishes. The balsamic vinaigrette with the house salad was fabulous. Bread was really good as well. Crusty baguette that was warm and soft on inside. Definitely recommend this place. Food was excellent. Service was sub par but will get better I imagine

Another new, great dining option for St. Charles County, where better-than-average food can be hard to find! The food is really just wonderful, a good variety. Fairly traditional family restaurant style of food, but very fresh! And the staff is incredibly welcoming. The owner came by to make sure we were enjoying ourselves; his wife, Sara, corrected the kitchen's mistake when they put cheese on my ravioli (I have a dairy allergy). Waitress was very friendly, and we simply had a lovely time with excellent food! The atmosphere is dressy casual, a nice outing with the family, kids very welcome!

Had the spaghetti and meat balls. Meat balls are hand made with a rich tomato sauce, very good. Waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Heard all about the family and who does what. The chocolate fan that I am, had the cake, absolutely awesome. There are many other hand made deserts/dishes available, I will try on another visit soon.

This was our first experience at this restaurant and it was initially good. We were greeted warmly upon arriving and seated right away as it was 1:30 pm and they weren't very busy. It looked much nicer than anticipated and had a comfortable environment. We ordered sandwiches & wraps and an appetizer of ravioli. The ravioli was wonderful even though a little pricey at$7 for 5 of them. Then we waited. And waited. The waitress, who was very nice, apologized and said she didn't know what was taking so long. She never noticed whenThere was only one other table occupied. We waited nearly an hour before our food arrived.

Very welcoming place. The owner has come to our table on each visit. Most recent visit was my choice because of a birthday coupon; it was a great choice. The owner and staff were helpful, friendly, and attentive. Normally for a birthday, you'd receive a complimentary glass of wine. Since my wife and I weren't going to drink, the owner offered up dessert. I chose the house Crème brûlée. Good all the way to the bottom. My dinner choice was the New York strip. Not being a steak restaurant, I wasn't sure what to expect. Best steak I've had in years at a restaurant. It was lean, cooked as ordered, and seasoned well. Not too much seasoning but just enough that ketchup or other sauces would have ruined it. Overall a top dinner out.

ok, stay with me here.... we went in for lunch on a friday afternoon after reading other yelp reviews and we were seated right away. we looked over the menu and immediately i was disappointed. no pasta, fish, or chicken that i was expecting from the reviews i had read. but, whatever, we were sitting in the booth already, might as well order some food. i ordered a chicken wrap, my husband ordered a roast beef sandwich with onion rings. i know what you're thinking... BORING! (thats what i was thinking too, still being disappointed by our lunch menu choices.) the food arrived quickly, and much to my surprise, it was the best chicken wrap i have ever had. the hubby loved the onion rings. i am planning on returning to try out some of the dinner dishes i have heard so much about. and the next time i am in the mood for a boring 'ol wrap, i know where to go.
