Favorite "Japanese steakhouse" meal on a whim. It's super cheap. The spicy chicken is awesome. Two people can walk out paying under $20. The fried rice isn't the best, but the customer service is always spot on. They are really friendly and get to know their customers quickly. Soon, they know you like a side of Sriracha and lime in your diet coke.

I am a fan of this place. Prices are reasonable for hibachi and the food is good. Favorite is Teriyaki chicken and make sure you get the seafood sauce (get extra) that's what makes it yummy :)

This is our go to Japanese habachi food place. If you don't need the fancy shogun making an onion volcano. And setting arm to arm with people you don't know. Then this is the place for you! Sure you don't get soup, but you also don't get a huge bill.

The Teriyaki Chicken is always awesome. I usually get double noodle and no rice because the noodles are so good. The salad bar inside is tasty too. I don't know what is in that dressing but it is AWESOME! If you go through the drive through don't forget to order the salad. This place is tasting/filling and has never let me down!

Very good , I recommend the Iowa Lee roll for sushi. The portion sizes have changed over the years, not as much food as they use to serve or their serving plates are bigger....:) Prices are reasonable. My favorite is the shrimp teriyaki. ...

I struggled between 3 and 4 stars on this, as this place also helped me to survive school without starving. Lunch at Little Tokyo was always a treat with my classmates and they never disappointed, even when we came in as a large and somewhat diverse group. Food is delicious and filling, the staff is efficient and helpful, and the menu is easy for a vegetarian to navigate. Their "salad" is really the only downside. You get cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce to choose from a bar and create your own salad. The plate is about the size of a baseball card and it requires some spacial skills to stack the plate in such a way to feel like you actually ate a salad. The ginger dressing is magnificent. Good Sushi, Good Yakisoba, very reasonable prices.

I can't speak for the sushi, but the hibachi entrees are excellent. They come with a side of vegetables, rice, and noodles all for under $8. I like the spicy chicken, but there are soy sauce and teriyaki options as well. They also have a drive thru which is nice.

My coworker and I were in search of some Japanese food, hoping it would be a lighter meal, especially after last night's brewery experience. We both ordered a hibachi combination dinner and were pretty happy with it. My fillet mignon (cooked perfectly medium as requested) and chicken combo was delicious, with the exception that the vegetable basically consisted of only squash and onions, both of which I dislike. From the exterior of the place, you wouldn't expect much, but the food is definitely better than their decor. $44 before tax and tip for 2 combination dinners, 2 hot teas, and a beer. Not bad at all.

Their sign advertised a California roll for $2.50 so I stopped for a quick lunch. At the drive thru window they told me it was a little over $5 with tax and the girl feigned surprise and confusion when I mentioned the special on their sign, then continued the transaction. I was in too much of a rush to complain further and hoped for the best. The simple, basic Cali roll was really blah and much warmer than it should have been. Because it was only a Cali roll I still ate it and well, it was lunch but not so terrific. It was also very small. At least 10 other places in town, I could have paid $5-6 and got twice as much sushi at the right temp and with a far better taste. I'd probably give this place a try again, inside and for a different meal than sushi, but I would proceed with caution.

Sure, it's hot and dirty inside, but the spicy tuna rolls are absolutely delicious, and are reasonably priced. So, don't be a snob, make sure your Tetanus shot is up to date, and head on over. It's seriously good!

I haven't been in a year but used to frequent this place about once a week for 4 years and it was my favorite Asian restaurant in the area. My favorite item was Chicken Yaki Soba with special sauce on the side (their seafood sauce) They also had a great little salad bar that was simple yet fresh and clean and included in the meals. Therese nothing fancy about it but just a good place to go for a quick lunch or dinner with good prices.

We stayed overnight on this Springfield area near the interstate. It's location is very convenient, just beside the motel we've stayed. Ample of parking. We tried the hibachi grill dinner, which kinda expected, you know very entertaining grillman. My kids loved it, specially those tricks. The food is okay, my salmon was perfectly done, the way i like it. The only problem is the seating is not private, we shared the hibachi grill table with other customers. Otherwise nice dinner, I enjoyed it though.

Little Tokyo = Little Disappointment. This was ok but not great and life is waaaay too short to eat ok food. The tuna nigiri was good but lets be honest, it is really hard to screw up a pice of raw fish on a bit of rice. As long and you don't get violently ill then it passes. The gyoza was probably the best thing we had and it was average. The beef yaki soba was bland and a little oily for yaki soba. The meat was cubed and not sliced so there were large chunks of meat instead of a lot of thin sliced tender meat.I really love Japanese food and if i could I would probably eat it 4 times a week, I would not however order it from here. The service was average as well nothing special nothing horrible. They do take American Express so if you are going there for a business meal you are covered. It is a little weird for me to write a bad review as I generally like the places we go and always try to find the best in them. Little Tokyo left me unimpressed with the flavors and the service.

Again, we need 3.5 stars here. Little Tokyo, let's see, its basically like a quick teppanyaki grill, except the chefs don't cook in front of you, and you can save like $3-4 an item. Like a lot of Asian places in town, this one used to be a Mexican restaurant, which I think is always fun to try and trace the decor choices...Anyways, I stuck to the sushi menu and the rest of the boys went for various meat and meat and shrimp combinations. For those meals you get the typical fried rice (which isn't really fried that well) and noodles and vegetables, in addition to your meal. Wait! Let us not forget the "salad bar", which consists of cold iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and a dressing. But the boys said it was fantastic lettuce... Their typical steaks are considerably lower quality than the pricier Japanese places in town, they leave a sort of...muttony... texture in your mouth. I tried a variety of sushi, all were really very good, compared to Mijuri, Nakato, and ESPECIALLY Ocean Zen. I had a fried piece, which was excellently fried (just enough breading), yellow tail and the spicy scallops, which were indeed, VERY spicy. The waitress we had was very... abrupt. She also did not know the difference between "draft" and "bottles", so the beer we thought was draft, came in bottles. If I make it back, it will be for the sushi, as they have a lot of interesting varieties. Basically, the teppanyaki grill is about the experience AND delicious food. Here you get cheaper food and no show for only a couple of dollars less. Go to Fuji for lunch or Nakato for dinner.
