This is a nice place. I liked the cheap but delicious food. The service was outstanding. The restaurant was clean. I wish I could have tried a shake, but unfortunately they don't make them sugar free :( My husband and I both had the "original," and I will try something different next time...oh yes, there will be a next time.

Loved the atmosphere here! Friendly staff, waitress was prompt with taking our order, food arrived quickly. Definelty a place to stop by and eat!! For 4 people we paid $16 plus milkshakes, can't beat that!!

Have gotten what I have come to expect from a Steak N Shake. Good steakburgers, fries, and milkshakes. Only 4 because the last time I was there I felt like our server was waiting on the whole place. They could've had one or two more waitresses.

Food is good, great prices but service is way to slow. One person works dining room and drive thru so if your eating in you have to wait.

AVOID THIS PLACE!! On my 1st visit tonight (which will be my last), I was greeted by a snippy hostess. I went to the counter to place a takeout order for a shake. I waited and waited and waited some more, about 20 minutes. I would have walked out, except that I had to pay for the shake up front. Finally a young lady came over and asked if she could help. I complained about the too-long wait for a shake. She asked if I wanted to talk with a manager. One finally came over with my long lost shake. I told him I wanted my money back and their conduct of business was totally unacceptable. He gave me my money and mumbled an apology, although I couldn't be sure it was sincere.

this place sucks. the food is bad and so is the service. we asked for salt and vinegar fries with our burger and the waiter had forgot to add the salt and vinegar to our fries. when we complained to the waiter, she brought us out a little cup of salt and vinegar for us to put on our fries. they are supposed to toss the fries in that when they are hot, instead we got fries that had a salty mixture dumped over them. all of our food came out cold and was poor quality. finally when we were ready to leave, we went to go pay and the cashier was too busy talking to her friends that were sitting at the bar to quickly ring us up for our food. this place is not worth the measly $12 it was to eat here. go to Culvers instead, its a much better hamburger and the service isnt as bad as steak and shake.

Visited this location tonight and I must say, I am very disappointed in a couple of things. One, in the amount of time that we waited in the drive thru. We arrived roughly at 7:50, with only one car in front of us, and did not drive off til 8:15. The car in front of us must have had a huge order and/or their order was not complete or correct. Ok, fine...but the employee could have simply asked the driver to park on the side or close-by until their big OR messed up order was ready. Did I mention that my order only consisted of fries and a soda? I should not have to wait that long for those two items. The only reason I did not drive off after 10 minutes, is because the car behind me was super close to me. Secondly, after waiting in line for so long, you'd figured my soda and fries would be ready once I got to the window. No. I still waited at the window for another 5-10 mins. Ridiculous. The young lady at the window that was there tonight at about 8pm, wearing a grey hoodie, with blonde hair did not even say "hello" or "sorry about the wait". Which you'd expect to at least hear after waiting so long. She simply told us our total and when she came back to hand us our order, she did not say a word. No, "thank you", no "have a good night". Nada. I understand things like this may happen from time to time, but that's when your empathy skills as a customer service employee should kick in. If you don't have any, maybe you should not be working the window. Also, if extra help is needed maybe you should ask the young gentlemen in the back of the house to help out instead of dancing where everyone in the drive thru line can see him. That was irritating to see, considering that the service was SO slow.
