This is our family's favorite Chinese take-out place. Of course they also deliver when you're simply too lazy to get your own food. My kid's favorites are the sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoon and pot stickers. My husband is a huge fan of the General Tso's and I enjoy both the cashew chicken or green pepper steak. The egg drop soup is always hot and yummy even when you have it delivered. If you've got a Chinese food craving in O'Fallon, check out 88 China.

This place got bought out from the previous owners and it got better in my eyes. The owner is extremely nice and polite! She's very friendly and has an outgoing personality. I order general tso chicken extra extra spicy, crab ragoon, fried rice and beef and broccoli. Everything was cooked to order and fresh! My chicken wasn't as spicy as I would've liked it to be but I did enjoy it. The crab ragoon had the perfect mixture of cheese and crunch. I couldn't stop eating them. The rice was excellent as well

Solid, reliable Chinese takeout. It has all the usual menu items, but the food is consistently good. It's at a convenient location off Bryan Rd, although the parking lot is notoriously small.

We were looking for someplace to eat and kind of stumbled upon this place. It's a very small place and there was stuff all over. Like coats and bags from the employees. We ordered and grabbed a seat at a table. We ordered Crab Rangoon to start with and it tasted really good. I ordered Hot Braised Chicken for an Entree and my wife ordered Shrimp. While I was eating, I happened to glance over at the counter. From where we were sitting I had a perfect view. The lady behind the counter bent over and opened a freezer or refrigerator, and took some Crab Rangoon out. Then promptly dropped one on the floor, picked it back up, and tossed it back in the cooler. THAT kind of shocked me! I didn't tell my wife about this until after we had left because she has a bit of a weak stomach. When I told her, she was grossed out and told me that she saw Crab Rangoon laying on the floor when we walked in. She said she just assumed that they would have thrown it away. Based upon what I saw, someone got to eat that one too! I really don't like to eat food that has been on the floor so I won't ever be going into this place again! So beware, you've been warned! I saw it with my own eyes!

We ordered for delivery and it arrived quickly and it was very hot and fresh. Just very greasy. I mean, I guess that's just (American) Chinese food though! It was better than most delivery places I've had though!

We have been regulars at 88 China for about 3 years and its always been great. Recently I'm not sure if the ownership has changed or the quality has just started to take a downturn. If so that's really sad only because they are one of the best places for Asian food. Though they are just a restaurant they are a good restaurant. The food is always hot and fresh. The flavors are authentic and very consistent at least till recently. I will continue to support them till I am dissatisfied again. The down side to that is that I will need to find another Asian restaurant near home.

Awesome! Took a dollar out of the tip jar so we did not have to break a ten. Best take out around. Get a lot for a little. Yum

Pot stickers baby! If you are a fan of pot stickers or crab Rangoon, as you can tell I am, you have got to go to 88 China. Their pot stickers are probably the best I have ever had. Their browned on both sides and extraordinarily juicy. The crab Rangoon order is huge! You get a dozen pieces and each are almost palm-sized, and bursting with a yummy - almost sweet filling. Beyond being delicious the portions are great and very well priced.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
