I've been to Maryland Yards about 5 times for either lunch or happy hour. The food is good, nothing to rave about but they have a good menu at good prices and consistent quality. Service could be quicker. Drink prices are pretty reasonable and it seems that there are food and drink specials every night. They have video trivia that I haven't tried yet but seemed cool. I will be going back to Maryland Yards.

Apparently they got their liquor license pulled and has been closed for several days now.

Went on a Friday night with brother & friend. Around 10pm bar was half full. Atmosphere was fine, $7 something pitchers. Took 30 min to get our pitcher because the bartender lady didn't know how to pour beer... she let it sit there forever while the head went down (see my photo). Then she asked us if we want wine glasses for the beer. Prob won't be back but it's a lot quieter than Sybergs and they don't have a cover, but point being we came to a bar to drink. we got to sit and wait instead. Also they have 7 TVs inside and somebody came inside with a dog ( not a service dog).

Lots of variety to choose from, entree was warm and tasted very good. Significant improvement from previous ownership. However, it took 55 minutes to get 3 sandwiches and the menu boasts a side option of "fresh tortilla chips," but delivers potato chips (homemade, good, but the menu got me craving tortilla chips). After pointing out the mistake, my confused waitress brought me a plate of mediocre fresh-from-the-Santitas-bag tortilla chips. Disappointing to say the least.

Remember Cheers? If you don't you're probably too young for this bar. I'm guessing very little has changed here in the last 15 years. I dropped some food on the bar - no way I'm going to eat off something with that kind of patina. I had a blackened chicken sandwich and cole slaw. The chicken was cooked about right and I really appreciated the cole slaw was not creamy. Pretty good food. I don't imagine I'll come back, but having spent a half an hour here, I CAN imagine what lunch was like in 1993.

Nice pub, with higher-quality pub food. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Minus 1 star for the shoddy restrooms (mens at least), which there's just no excuse for.

Maryland Yards is OK. It's a good enough bar and grill when you want drinks and bar food. The layout is difficult - there are several smaller rooms that aren't really big enough for a hug Happy Hour group. The service is kind of slow, and the TVs are fairly difficult to see. I've been there several times with work friends, and it gets pretty loud. I would definitely keep going back, though, as it's a staple in that part of the county, and there is something for everyone.

I've been going here for years. They always have great drink specials and nice bartenders. The food isn't spectacular, but it's not bad either. Just average. But the drinks are always made well! They have pool tables and trivia on the tv, both which I have never played, but looks fun. I'll keep coming back!

Ahh...Maryland Yards. If you want a bar that is a bit of a dive, but has booze and bar food, then this place may be your mother's embrace... To give you an idea of atmosphere: I work very close to the bar, and it's not uncommon to see a car or two left in the lot the next morning (which also allows my coworkers and I enjoy the morning after "walk-of-shame parade"). I've also witnessed a couple getting busted trying to create a romantic moment in the bathroom, only to find out there was a third person waiting for them prior to their attempt. But you know what? Bars like that are necessary so we all have a funny story while we're at the bar. A boozy, circle of life thing... A word of caution, the men's bathroom is deplorable (and I have a pretty high threshold for bar bathrooms), so bring along some hand sanitizer if you need to, or marry someone like my wife who always has it in her purse. So to sum up, the food is average, and the bar is stocked. You can drink, eat, and smoke there, but apparently you can't have a friendly gathering in the bathroom...three out of four ain't bad.

So we were in St Louis and were looking for a happy hour close to our hotel and this place popped up on Yelp. It was a good time, a good place to sit down and conversate over cheap drinks and apps. Our server was great and the place had an overall friendly atmosphere.

I ordered a salad and my boyfriend ordered a blt. It took over a half hour to get our food. Not cool. Took nearly as long to get our check. The blt was good at least.
