Wow...I cannot believe no one has rated this amazing B&B yet here on Yelp! I am very honored to be the first one to rate this extraordinary gem! My husband made reservations to surprise me for my birthday and we were both overwhelmed at the attention to detail the owners Steve and Carolyn put into this gorgeous B&B. We were welcomed to the Stone-Yancy House with fresh baked cookies that were absolutely wonderful. The inn-keepers, Steve and Carolyn made us feel at home while they showed us around the beautifully decorated home. The gorgeous wood through out the home was a joy to behold. After a short tour of the inn we headed out for the eventing to have dinner. Upon arriving back at the Inn later that evening we found the fancy pillows and comforter had been removed for us and the bed was ready to get it and there was lovely music playing...a very relaxing and inviting touch. We enjoyed playing cards on the wrap around porch and talking to Steve, one of the owners for quite some time that evening. A very pleasant way to end an evening. There is a fridge upstairs that is stocked with cold sods and bottled water and a large selection of DVD's to choose from to watch in your room. Breakfast was first rate...starting with a decadent baked apple stuffed with cream cheese and topped with fresh mint leaves and home baked cinnamon rolls we were spoiled from start to finish. Coffee, tea, and many juice selections were served on the beautiful china to go with the baked apple and cinnamon rolls. Then the main course of a large slice of breakfast pie with ham, cheese and hash browns topped off with fresh grape tomatoes paired with a bowl of freshly cut fruit came out and we were spoiled all over again! Each room has lush bathrobes and hand crafted soaps for guest use and the linens on the beds were very luxurious. We have already talked about when we can visit the Stone-Yancy House again. What a great gem in the Kansas City area...do yourself a favor and book your stay now! You will not be sorry! The atmosphere outside was so peaceful and relaxing!
