Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I LOVE Olive Garden's lunch, it's cheap and endless salad, soup and breadsticks for $6.99. I always get their chicken and gnocchi soup which is creamy and the gnocchi is awesome. They have always had some of the best breadsticks in my opinion and it was no different today. Our server was great and she had a great attitude. She was patient with us and kept us happy. I'm sure the lunch can be a pain to servers, but you could tell she was experienced and knew what she was doing. The salad dressing is so delicious and she promptly filled our salad bowls. Yum, can't get enough of that dressing. There was quite a bit on the salad, but I'm not complainin'! A++++ Experience.

Made an order to go for the first time and looks like the last. I ordered the braised beef and tortelloni. I haven't been really impressed with this place, it's too expensive in my opinion for the quality of food I'm getting but I usually like Olive Garden and don't mind giving them second chances. Unfortunately though I'll never order to go ever again. My pasta was very very soupy and the beef didn't look appetizing at all. The pasta still tasted good but it's just in a big bowl of soup basically. $15 for this is a joke. It should only be like $8. Maybe someone should go and teach them how to properly cook.

I had such a great experience here! Out of all the Olive Gardens, I liked it the most while visiting my friends in the middle of no where Missouri!!! too funny. our server, Thomas, was soo friendly and nice and polite. He made the experience a great one. The unlimited salad was soo fresh even though it was near the end of the night. That was actually the highlight of my meal. the free salad. funny huh. the dishes were good, not amazing but good.. Just great service and a pleasant dining experience. Thanks Thomas.

Went for a quick lunch. The food was good but the service was superb!! I know its a chain but this restaurant doesn't make it feel that way. Good service means a lot and they deliver! Thanks for such a great time.

This location's service is really bad . Came from the airport with family of 5. First they make us wait 15 min on a what looked liked a normal night for a table, and as we were waiting they were letting other party's of 4-5 in who came in after us . We finally get our table and the waitress comes to our table says she be right back. Didn't see her for another 8-10 min. We got up and left . We felt disrespected and the staff just stood there and smiled as we left. I don't recommend this location to anyone. Poor service, poor staff.

Though this was not my first time at OG, this was my first time at this location. My parents took me to the airport and this location was on our way. We were a party of 5 (hehe) and had no issues getting seated promptly. The restaurant was pretty busy since we were coming into the dinner hour. The best part of our entire experience came down to one person, our server, Jessica D. Jessica had such a pleasant demeanor and really made our visit special. I explained to Jessica that I am vegan so if she could help find out if certain dishes could be made vegan. Jessica's dedication to superior customer service was so prevalent. She really went through a lot of trouble to ensure my dietary needs were met. Here's the kicker, I've been through this same scenario at other OG location and I had ALWAYS been told that the house dressing is vegan. Jessica took the liberty of checking, without asking, on the ingredients of the house dressing, lo and behold it was not. Jessica also had someone stand guard of the breadsticks in the back to ensure she brought me four plain-Jane ones. I definitely recommend coming to this location because there is obviously a sharp focus on customer service.

Decent service, lousy food. Lasagna was served in a puddle, without a single noodle. I guess I got the pan scrapings for my order. I even asked, is this the lasagna? It seems like soup... " and was told "yes that's our lasagna." it was just ricotta cheese and meat sauce... No noodles. No wonder it was a soupy puddle. Waiter brought a stack of bread plates but one was filthy...see photo. At over $20/plate with drinks, I won't be coming back for dirty dishes and liquid lasagna. Worst OG experience I've had in 25 years.

We went here as a party of 8 this evening for my birthday. We had 6 adults and 2 small children, both in high chairs. We called another local chain and asked their availability for our sized party and we're met with unfriendliness, especially when they heard there would be children. This was supposedly a kid-friendly place. They told us it would be at least a 2 hours wait! We called Olive Garden and they were so kind and said they would seat us immediately. They provided us a semi-private seating area very promptly and we had 2 servers that both did a fantastic job of always keeping our drinks full, did not seem inconvenienced of our party size or children, and we're prompt in taking our order and bringing our appetizers, salads and breadsticks. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and lasagna frittas as appetizers. The stuffed mushrooms weren't the best I've ever had, but they were good, nonetheless. Pretty strong fishy taste, as I could taste the scallops, but I enjoy scallops so I didn't complain! The lasagna frittas were delicious! I highly recommend them! Perfectly crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside! They have warm ricotta cheese oozing out, as well as mozzarella! A gooey delight! For my main course, I had the citrus chicken that had vegetables and artichokes as the side dish. The chicken was perfectly sweet and satisfying! Next time, I will opt for their garlic mashed potatoes en lieu of the vegetables, but that's because I love their mashed potatoes! The artichokes were fantastic! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the dessert. We chose the vanilla cream dessert with berries. It is a specialty dessert that is only available for a limited time. It was still partially frozen and had a very strange consistency and the flavor was only so-so. I was hoping for a smooth custards type texture, but found a very inconsistent texture that was unpleasant to the palette. Unfortunately, our family ordered 2 to celebrate my birthday. On a positive note, they came out with a candle on one of the desserts and sand Happy Birthday! I will continue to return to this Olive Garden!

So we came here after yet another basketball game and decided on an early 4:30 pm dinner (or very late lunch) with our party of 10. We were seated at the big family table in a separate room/area. Bonus! The experience started off rather shaky, but thankfully improved as the hour progressed. A staple that had been on the menu for all eternity had been taken off the menu. Crud. Only thing my daughter ever ordered for probably 5 years straight. Asked the waitress if they could make it...very simple dish. Like, 4 ingredients. After several attempts, and some confusion and different explanations of the menu at least twice, they confirmed they could make it. Drama drama. This was only after consulting with the head chef and the manager. Oh my. I said that it was really not a big deal and we'd get something else, but our waitress insisted. Salads served, kinda mediocre today and I usually love the corporate Olive Garden salad. Meals finally arrived. One order was completely wrong. It was however, quickly corrected and the correct meal arrived after about 8 minutes. Everything was pretty okay so I'm happy with the outcome. Don't get here very often, probably a few times a year. For a chain, it's a good place for a large party. Overall good today.

Service and kitchen are both slowï¼ I mean real slow! Did not get our orders until 50 min later! There are only this much salad and bread sticks one can eat, you know!

Every now and then my family wants to go eat here and I go along with it. No more! This place microwaves pasta, the sauces are flavorless and the management act like they've never been in a restaurant. I wouldn't eat here again if it were free and I was starving. I'm stunned that they have people that patronize this place. You can get way better Italian food at Hy Vee.

Will try the never ending pasta bowl!!! I'm starving!!! This time its the 2 for 25 deal. It was a good deal. Salad, 2 entree and a dessert. I was full by the time I finished me meal. The server was a little slow plus she gave a lot of comments because we are asking her salad and breadsticks as soon as its gone. We didnt waited because that salad and breadstick were phenomenon. You should come hungry here so you well enjoy the food. I love the italian soda but they dont give you any refill. I thought that was a ripped off. Will be back for sure. We came here post valentine with the family.

We had dinner tonight after not being here for a while and were disappointed. No wait on a Saturday night should have tipped us off. Service was friendly but slow. Portions seemed smaller and less tasty. ..cheap tasting. We will be crossing this off of our list of places to go.
(2)Melissa S.
Usually a decent experience and they always fix any problems that I have with my food.

It's a hit-or-miss restaurant. We love going there, but the service is unpredictable. Sometimes it's what you would expect - attentive servers, orders delivered in a timely fashion, hot food is hot and cold food is cold - yet other times it's pretty poor. I would say that about 65% of the time, service is good. I did have one major problem several years ago. I caught a server who received a bad tip for poor service padding the bill on my credit card - I had tipped $2 and she added a "1" to it, making the tip $12. I luckily caught it and contacted the manager, who audited the receipts for that day and found that it had been altered. The manager handled it beautifully and promptly, so I have to give her a thumb's up for that.

I ate here tonight with my family, we were greeted with a friendly hello" and seated promptly. Our waitress responded immediately to our table but was slow bringing out our salad and breadsticks. I thought the dinner tables were too close together. I felt like I was on top of the other people around us. I have been to this location before and dined in the evening and did not have this feeling, or maybe I just did not notice this before. Our food was hot and well prepared when it came to the table.

This visit was bad. Don't do low-cal or low fat if your cooks can't pull it off. Quality has dropped since last visit. I was really disappointed. My wife and I had the Grill selection and were both disappointed by the over cooked veggies, the rubbery meat and the general lack of taste in any of our dishes. We have been here before and it was better. They have a TON on seating so don't worry if the parking lot looks full. Please get better!

This was a very sad visit. My daughter adores OG!! I was excited to hear that they had a "garden menu" so we decided to try. The salad was decent with the low cal dressing. We did receive the breadsticks without butter & garlic smeared on top as requested. The Grill selection was not very good. The veges were over cooked (nasty mushy squash). The chicken and steak were also over cooked and just were not seasoned very well. For the cost of the dinner for two it was extremly disappointing. I would suggest you stick with the "regular" pasta when eating at OG. Probably wont be back again.

We will drive to Gladstone's Olive Garden before going back to this one. I can walk it's so close. We have been twice. The food was awful both times - eggplant Parmesan was burned. The second time, they forgot they sat us. We waited a half hour for anyone to come to our table. I got up to ask what was up. We waited some more. We should have just walked out. We are never going back.

Excellent service on a holiday. We have 3 young children who are very demanding (we are working on restaurant manners). One of which has an egg allergy. When we asked our server about allergies, she promptly returned with a handy laminated menu with all the allergy information on it. She kept our drinks filled and made regular visits to check on us. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes and was very good. We'll go back.

I went with my girlfriends and had a great time. Our server was fun and the watermelon martini was awsome!

I have been to this place several times in the past, but never going back again. Food was just "ok". Typical Italian restaurant food. The waitress was not very good, she kept telling me she was going to bring me another coke and never did, another waitress noticed that I needed a refill and was nice enough to bring me one. We also asked for more salad dressing, which we never received. Finally, we had coupons that stated $4.00 off any two entrees and we had two coupons. We were eating with another couple so we gave the waitress both coupons. She said that we could only use one coupon, we told it was going to be separate checks. (each couple ordered 2 entrees) as per coupon said. The waitress said she could only use 1 coupon. Again we informed her that it would be separate tickets, she again told us only 1 coupon per table. The coupon states $4.00 off any 2 entrees, 1 coupon per visit. ( did not mention anything about per table) So shouldn't two couples ordering separately be able use 1 coupon each? I did not ask to talk to the manager, figured why argue over $4.00, this Oliver Garden's manager must be pretty hard up for money if they cannot honor what the coupon states. Plus, again I would only give the food 2 stars. Would not recommend this Olive Garden!! After all that, I still left her a tip...minus $4.00 of course!
