The average age was probably 70 which isn't necessarily a bad thing... The BLT wasn't bad but there's a lot of improvement that could be made, 1 piece of lettuce, 2 thin slices of tomatoes, & a minimal amount of bacon on two normal slices of bread... That may fill a 90 year old persons stomach but not mine, I could have easily ate 3 of their BLT sandwiches! The curly fries were delicious and having Dr. Pepper made up for it a little but even under $5 that sandwich wasn't worth it. I'd stop by again the next time I'm in town to try something else; the food was good just terribly small portions!

The food is homemade like you would fix at home. The pies are the best in town. I love the price and that you can get breakfast any time of the day. If you haven't tried Rosies you need to try it. You want be disappointed.

The food is decent. As far as breakfast options go in town, this is the best. Service is usually quick and friendly. I haven't noticed the dry or soggy food that some other reviewers have noted and have never had poor service here.

I went with a couple friends and had a late breakfast. The pancakes were dry, though the portion was a good size. The biscuits and gravy were a little salty and dry. The eggs were fine. The sausage was not very good. The prices are very cheap, but the waitstaff isn't friendly and the entire restaurant is a little crusty and old. I don't think I would go back.

For kirksville, this place is tops! Great country cooking, no frills, and the food tastes like being home. I have especially fond memories of the green beans and the French toast. Reasonable prices, fine service. A good option for breakfast if you want to step it up a notch from pancake city.

Pretty much have eaten at every restaurant in Kirksville at this point, and while this wasn't necessary "bad" food, there's plenty of better optionally. Had pancakes and French toast, the latter which was better. Egg was fine, but how do you mess that up? Hash browns a little soft. Bacon good. Negative was the pecan pie (homemade), which sits in the fridge before served and is just not good. Maybe the other pies were better. Also, the silverware is served in a plastic wrapping, which was kind of strange.

Pretty good food, prompt service. Definitely frequented by townies, although the college kids should give it a try. The portions are generous and a good value for the price. The food is as good or a little better than Pancake City. Good place to grab a quick breakfast or brunch bite. Pancakes had a delightful almost nutty hint of flavor to them.

I've heard great reviews about this place from the locals so I tried it. I'll say this it was very inexpensive. Other then that the only explanation for the great reviews has to be the lack of better options. However the dozen or so flies flying around the restaurant really enjoyed sharing our food.
