This establishment is small but fun. I came with a friend and we sat at one of the high-top tables. First thing I noticed was a menu. A menu! I hadn't known you could eat here. And not only that, they serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays with bottomless $10 mimosas. How has nobody told me about this place!? It doesn't look like much from the outside and it's squeezed in-between two other bars. I normally frequent the Hi-Dive Lounge next door but today we were up for something different and I'm so glad. So. Drunken Worm is a hole in the wall bar wall with lots of Mexican decor and TV for sports. It's a sports/tequila bar if there is such a thing. The decor is definitely more south of the border than sports bar, so I appreciated that. They have nightly specials too. I was there on a Sunday (Easter at that) and they had specialty shots for $3. The bartender was super friendly and the place was crowded but not packed. It was their menu, though, that blew me away and I will certainly be back to try all the food!

Anything that is cheap and edible is a winner in my book. So I kept driving by this place and kept seeing the sign that read 4 tacos for $2.99, I was on the hook just like the Drunken Worm! The tacos were not the best I've ever had, but definitely not the worst either. I had the 4 hard shell beef tacos, they were decent. My waiter asked if I wanted hot sauce, I said yes please and he proceeds to bring me a tool box full of different types of Tabasco like sauces, I then proceeded to ask for real Mexican hot salsa which he brought promptly. I will be back soon to try the black bean tacos which I hear are marinated in cilantro, onions, pico, and spices. Yum!

Went for brunch on Saturday and it was great. Must try the slow cooked chicken tacos. The cabbage on top is the perfect crunch. My bloody Mary was great too...had a nice spicy kick. If you do go though, make sure you save room for a shot of infused tequila. The dill pickle and strawberry pineapple were both great. Solid place!

Could be better. Awesome tequila menu, but when I ordered a margarita they used a packaged mix. It was disappointing. I wish they had fresh limes to make a real margarita.

I've eaten here several times. The food is made to order so be patient. Really this is a long over due response to Tyler =0 friends, 1 star review. I love it when people says "I lived in _____" as if this makes you an expert. Sorry throwing green chilies on something doesn't make anything New Mexican. I was eating at a BBQ joint in Los Angeles who said they served St. Louis style BBQ. I don't even know what St. Louis style BBQ means much less New Mexican. I've had lots of food with green chilies that never proclaim to be from the Land of Enchantment. You use "flavor profile" which I've only heard wine snobs use such a meaningless term. You're eating tacos not on a napa valley tour. Are you starting to catch on that you live in this complete hack of a nation where people think X because they're from Y. Your geographic location means nothing just like your review of the Drunken Worm.

Great margaritas, and I absolutely love the worm dip! Fun atmosphere, attentive waitstaff, and lots of TVs.

What can I say? It's a tequila bar. There is copious amounts of tequila from your basics to high-end; most are reasonably priced. There is also beer and liquor other than tequila. They have a sufficient menu of appetizers and tacos. I tried the Chips & Guacamole and Shrimp Tacos. The guacamole was standard, but at least it wasn't salty or overpriced. The shrimp tacos were good, even though I felt the onion ring pieces overpowered the flavor of the shrimp. A friend of mine had the Nachos and enjoyed them quite a bit. Another highlight was the ambience. It's cozy and eccentric. It's nice to have a bar in Kansas City that specifically focuses on tequila, especially if you're a connoisseur. This is definitely a place I'll frequent.

This neighborhood tequila bar is one of a kind. If you like tequila, you need to try Drunken Worm. They have multiple flavors of infused tequila (my favorite is cucumber). It's the perfect spot to grab a drink with a friend in a casual, low key but still fun environment. The bartenders are friendly and happy to make recommendations if you don't know exactly what you want. As far as food goes, I've only had the guacamole but it was good.

this place was great, quiet during the lunch hour, cheap tacos 4 for $3, sweet heat shots $3, mexican martini was amazing!! doesn't hurt that the bartender was hot!! looks like he was running the place alone too. i may go back tonight for happy hour so i can try his infused tequila!

I'll be frank: I hate tequila. I'm one of those people but one time...I tried a pumpkin spice margarita here. Holy grail of all things basic in a margarita form! As you may imagine, it was mighty thirst quenching and the strawberry ones aren't bad either. The bartender Laura was very friendly and kept the drinks coming. She recommended the worm dip and (by no surprise) we loved it! The place itself is a bit smaller but more than cozy. Highly debating adding this spot into my usual rotation!

Tried this place for the first time. Great margaritas. Tacos and "bowls" were very good. Neat atmosphere and a nice bar/grill to hang out for awhile. I would certainly recommend this place!

We were on the hunt for a new Taco Tuesday spot and couldn't argue with Drunken Worm's special - 4 beef or bean tacos for $3. Here's the great thing about this place - that's their daily special from 11am to 3pm - Monday through Friday. That's real KC right there - four hours of Taco Tuesday 5 days a week! We made it in in the middle of the second inning of the Royals game to find a nice, dark, fresh from the luchador doorman to the bottles of liquer infusing on the shelves, but still divey enough place to be home to the neighborhood locals stretched out across the bar and suburban tourists alike. We got a couple of strong margaritas and an order of chips and salsa to start with, and not too much later our bean tacos came out - nothing too spicy, just black beans, lettuce, some cheese, and the mildish house sauce in the bottle - at about 80 cents apiece, it's a solid deal. We got down to business with the squeeze bottle and the Fire Roasted Tomato salsa that had come out with the chips. Four apiece went down and we decided to upgrade to the regular menu rather than another round of the special for no other reason than straight up gluttony. We each ordered two orders of the regular menu Veggie tacos, along a side of beans and rice and spanish rice. The last set came out fast, with the tacos in soft flour tortilla., with roasty portabellos and a little more heft than the special The sides are nice to have The last bit of our margaritas washed down the equivalent of two meals apiece, several great defense plays were made by the Royals, and the guy in Cleveland set off the fireworks at the right time - all in all, another great Taco Tuesday and I'm already looking forward to the carryout option on weekdays!

Terrible service and will not be back! We have been several times before and always thought the place was great! This time, we could not get a drink refill! We stacked 5 cups up along the end of the table, the staff actually walked by 3 times and didn't even budge to acknowledge that we needed refills! When the bill came, first it was wrong-then we were told we already paid (which we did not)-one person in our group was given 3 receipt copies, the first one was for $11.00 and then the other two were $20.00! None were correct and his card was charged for all.

Good night for tacos under the stars. Sat down to a wabbly table and ordered a margarita. Followed by a tilapia bowl, fully appreciate this option that any taco can be turned into a bowl. First bite was delicious and after that couldn't taste anything due to the insanely spicy sauce. It was a smokey sweet chipotle sauce, next time ask for it on the side. It was on the small side but beautifully prepared with large chunks of tilapia and avocado on a bed of rice and black beans. Sprinkled with fresh queso. My fella was thoroughly impressed by the shrimp tacos, tasting better than they looked. My margarita was big and beautiful with just the right amount of sass. Service was decent, batender was the only one on duty. We arrived to a virtually empty house and minutes after arrival it was getting down to business. Its got a divey nacho libre bar feel to it, Im in to it. It's west 39th street and badly in need of a parking garage. Almost every spot is accounted for with the threat of being towed if not the proper occupant. We got lucky and found a street spot.

This place is pretty good. I was a little reluctant because it looks kind of dicey from the outside (I'm ok with dives, this place just looked kind of weird to me), but when I saw a sign saying "now serving breakfast," I had to give it a try. Disclosure: I have not had any of their tequila, so I can't really review them on their specialty. I can say this: everything I had there was good. In fact, I'm a little nervous to put this out there, simply because I don't want a bunch of people frequenting the already few breakfast options in Volker. I had the huevos rancheros and a Bloody Mary. The huevos came with crispy bacon and hash browns, and the salsa on the eggs was very tasty! Not too spicy. I ordered the eggs over medium and they were perfectly cooked. The Bloody Mary is their own blend of mix and it was just spicy enough--plus it had fresh crispy bacon crumbled on top. The Mary was a meal in itself. I tried really hard to finish my meal, but couldn't. I can write much about the service because, since it was early in the morning, we were the only people there's do we were given undivided attention. Our server was super friendly and brought out water for our pup (we sat at a table outside--good people watching!) and was just overall super cool. I will definitely be back for some tacos and tequila.

I was a little skeptical when I thought Mexican food but walked into a very white hipster-looking bar with an eclectic decor. I was surprised though at the food, which is more bar tex-mex food than it is actual Mexican food. Their queso is good and velveeta-y, but comes in a tiny bowl that will only last you half the chips. Their tacos are loaded with meat & goodies, soft tortillas, and their quesadillas are probably my favorite. Grilled just enough so you get a bit of crunch and loaded with the perfect ratio of meat, cheese, and veggies. They have a large selection of nachos to choose from, as if the chips and queso we ordered weren't enough. Nachos are decently loaded with the fixin's although I could use a bit more load. Overall though, great service and good place for some Tex-Mex and beer.

Yummy-licious! Taco Tuesday - 4 beef or black bean tacos for $3! Adding their taco sauce made it hit homerun. The manager, Matt was very nice, he went over the specials with us. This is now my new lunch spot (fast service and under $5). They had a basket of different hot sauces but you wouldn't need it because it mask the flavors of the tacos. I will be back soon for their happy hour and try their infused tequila with their $1 off nachos!!!

Drunken Worm claims to be a New Mexican restaurant. It is not. I've lived in New Mexico for 2 years. Summary: Drunken Worm, at its best, simply serves warmed up Sysco food with zero additional effort. New Mexican food is different than Mexican food in that it is served with Red or Green Chiles. Drunken Worm chooses to serve NEITHER on top of their food or as a side. In fact, they don't even have red or green chiles in the restaurant. The flavor added to their food can only be described as boring. There was next to nothing added to the raw ingredient. I wonder if they even salted the meat they used...? Secondly, we ordered their chips and guacamole as an appetizer. The guacamole was obviously frozen, had blackish spots, and had a huge avocado in the bottom of it that wasn't 'blended.' Grade: D-. The food we ordered (6 types of tacos) were all underwhelming. They had zero flavor profile, lacked essential Mexican spices, and the sauces were pathetic. We couldn't finish our food. The chicken taco basically had Alfredo sauce poured on top of it. It was terrible. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

HOW have we not heard about this GREAT little place? Dive-y, just the way we like it. Our big party (8) was seated in the front and well taken care of by Jake, and we loved the fresh chips, the guac, the chicken nachos and their "house" black bean dip. My shrimp taco was outstanding, steak taco good but not as stand-out as the shrimp. Cheesy corn ok. Pinto Beans, WOW. Upgrade your margarita, for certain. Not sure why they don't have hard shell tacos available for dinner--which limited my gluten-free husby's meal choices. We will SO be back--this place goes in our regular "Taco Tour" rotation.

My boyfriend thought this was a standard Mexican restaurant, but we were happily excited to enter a bar with a great happy hour. $2.75 well drinks/bud draws and great Mexican food was much needed. We ordered queso and were accidentally given salsa, we just went with it. Great choice because it was the freshest, tastiest salsa we had tried in a while - just the right amount of cilantro. The Drunken Worm is great for a night out or for a delicious and affordable meal.

When my buddy mentioned there was a new Mexican restaurant in the area we immediately agreed we needed to venture in for lunch one day. So today we stopped in for some tacos and margaritas, and were immediately seated and served. We ordered the standard chips and salsa to start (surprisingly priced at $.99 rather than free) and they were a good start to the meal. We both agreed the chips tasted a little oily but they were fresh and perfectly salted and warm. The salsa was pretty standard but overall tasty enough for a Mexican joint. Then came the drinks. $5 for a non-happy hour margarita? Bargain. $5 for a huge, strong, delicious, house margarita? Unbeatable. A glance at the drink menu convinced the both of us that we'd have to try one of their house specialties on our next visit. They all sounded delicious and were reasonably priced. Our food arrived quickly and as ordered and we both dug in. My buddy enjoyed her grilled veggie tacos, and I my ground beef tacos. Her two tacos came with a choice of rice or beans (beans for her) while my three tacos came with both. We both agreed the beans were extremely tasty (though mine were lukewarm) and the rice was decent. Our tacos were delicious and overall we were highly satisfied with our meal. Needless to say we will be returning for the good food, location, service and atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly, the drinks were strong, the food was tasty and they accept credit cards (despite their Facebook stating otherwise.) If you need a lunch spot and are in the area, I definitely recommend you stop in for a bite.

We came tonight not expecting a lot, but this place was horrible the tacos were poorly made. We asked for no cheese and some had it, the chicken was rancid and the mushrooms were slimy and moldy esque tasting. The server couldn't remember a 6 person ticket and then charged the different amounts on different credit cards. Will not be going again.

We really want to like this place. We love Mexican food, we live 3 blocks away, and the environment/atmosphere was pretty cool. Unfortunately, we had a pretty bad first visit here. Our waiter was really nice, but since this place just opened, I think they were still trying to figure everything out. The lady ordered beef tacos (hard shell) and it came with beans and rice. I made sure that there were no onions in her food (allergy), he asked the kitchen and came back to tell us that the tacos were onion free. I guess he didn't know there were onions in the beans though, because they were all up in it. That said, the tacos weren't bad. You could tell they just fried the shells and they were nice and puffy (flour tortillas). I had tamales but they weren't great. I couldn't get the corn husk off without destroying them (not cooked right) and I had to drown them in sauce to get any flavor out of them. We asked for a tequilla menu (it's a "tequilla bar") but they didn't "have one yet". So we told him that we weren't very experienced in tequilla and he brought us back one of his favorites without telling us how much it was. It was pretty good, actually. Nice and smooth. The manager came to grab and run our card without bringing us a receipt first. When she came back with our receipt (paid for now), it was way more than we expected. We asked to see an itemized receipt, and our tequilla shots were as much as our food! The waiter was nice and tried to rectify it. He took one off and re-ran our card. When we got home, we saw that there were THREE authorization charges from them on our card, which ties up about $100 of our money. I understand two of them. I have no idea where the 3rd came from. The food was okay but not great. The tequilla was good but we could have bought a 1/5th for the amount that the two shots cost us. The service was friendly but...still in need of some experience (granted, that comes with time and they're new), and not having access to $100 until the charges clear, when we just wanted some "cheap tacos" isn't fun. We love 39th street and would love to have a good taco bar close to us, so we'll go back and hope for better. I will definitely update this review if I get the good experience that I know they're going to give us soon.

I went into the Drunken Worm without any knowledge of the establishment at all and was pleasantly surprised. The name of the establishment is cleverly crafted for a taco bar. This isn't just any taco bar however, the tacos are also cleverly crafted. I personally got the Taco Choice option on the menu for $7.99 which is any three soft tacos with rice and beans which is incredibly filling! I ordered the shrimp, tilapia, and pulled pork. Each taco has a unique savory flavor. My tacos had a lot of cabbage on them, so much so it was hard to see all the ingredients, but delicious none the less. I was not a huge fan of the tilapia taco specifically but it was not bad by any means, just not my particular favorite. The rice had a great flavor but the beans just didn't do it for me. You are definitely paying for the delicious tacos not the sides. We also got the .99 cent chips and salsa as an appetizer and the salsa was really flavorful and the chips were fresh and warm! Well worth the buck for that. While the bar may feel small, the staff is definitely friendly. We were taken care of very well the entire time we were there and while they weren't full, they had a lot of customers for a weekday evening. We felt like they definitely were attentive and helpful at every turn. Their tap selection isn't what I would pick but they do have a lot of Mexican beers on tap which is pretty different and unique. They did have a lot of great craft beer in bottles though including a lot from Odell. The only thing I didn't care for was the crowd did pick up while we were finishing up, and in a small area like that with everyone packed in, it got pretty loud but hey it's a bar what do you expect! Be merry! I'd love to go back and try their weekend brunch sometime soon, I'll definitely update when I do!

I've been twice now, once early in the week and once this weekend. My husband and I shared the queso on the first visit and it was really pretty bad. The chips were fresh enough but the cheese was much more on the yellow nacho cheese side of things and it had a film from sitting around too long by the time we got it; I wouldn't order it again. So we went into the second visit with low expectations of the food, but the place is adorable inside -- a HUGE improvement over the former tenant La Piedra del Sol --and the beer prices are very reasonable so we were happy to return. This time we both got the ground beef tacos and they were a significant improvement. Not amazing perhaps, but very solid. So to sum up, the atmosphere is fun, the tall boy cans are well priced, and it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood (a nice change of pace from Hi-Dive, which has become a regular haunt of mine in the last year). But, the food we've had thus far has not been memorable, and, as the other reviewer said, their lack of any sort of drink menu is something that needs fixing ASAP. I'd give the Drunken Worm 3 1/2 stars if I could, but it's been solid enough to warrant rounding up. I'll update my review if that changes. We'll definitely be back.

I really, really wish there was a way to split a review between liquor and food. If it was based upon tequila alone, the Drunken Worm would earn all five stars. The menu is vast, as is the staff's knowledge. I'm a big tequila fan and I'm so happy to have a place nearby where I can get the good stuff. That said, the food is just. . . unremarkable. The menu is quite small, which I had hoped meant it would be great (if you only do a few things, do them well!), but sadly, it came across as just an after thought. We had the Taco Choice option and the filling was bland, as were the sides. It appeared to be made fresh, but it was so underseasoned, I might as well have just eaten it from a can. Like I said, I really, really wanted to be able to give more stars. But when I plan on drinking tequila, I know I'm going to need to eat, too. I just wish the food made it so the tequila could be more, rather than less enjoyable.

Sometimes ordering gluten-free does not go well. That has been the case several times at the drunken worm. I like to order the shrimp tacos with a side of black beans and rice. 3 times I've been glutened (glutenated?). First they say they have corn tortillas; but often they are flour. They put flour caked onion rings on them even when I ask for them not to. Also the sauce is a salad dressing (a frenchy ranch); the thickener in this dressing is most likely flour. I don't expect the whole world to understand why some of us can't have wheat. However the kitchen here either forgets or doesn't care when it comes to special orders. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is great. The last time this happened the waitress took the order off my bill without my asking. I want to make things work at this place. I urge the owner to sift through the menu to figure out where the gluten is. I would gladly help with this task.

This new tequila bar has its own rather strange style and atmosphere. When you walk in, you might be a bit puzzled by the masked heads, strange looking topless masked manikin at entrance, and skeleton figurines. The theme is a Mexican tequila bar with displays representing Mexican professional wrestlers, who wear such masks. The menu emphasizes tacos, and the bar drinks emphasize tequilas and Mexican beers. The selection of wines is minimal. I particularly liked the shrimp tacos. All of their tacos come with flour tortillas, but you can request corn tortillas, if you wish. You would not know that from the menu, since there is no mention of corn tortillas on the menu. I also tried the veggie tacos. They were good, but rather skimpy on their contents. This is not a full fledged Mexican restaurant or a well stocked bar. It has a specialized theme. Relative to what it is, I rather liked it.

I popped in here with a friend this week because she was enthusiastic about the food and prices. I'm a believer now. I had two Chorizo Tacos for $5 and felt guilty for not having to pay more. These were really good tacos, the service was great, and the place is CLEAN. It's great to find a Mexican food restaurant that I approve of! I would go back and back and back again.

I offically love this place! I went back last weekend to get some food and a margarita while in the Westport area. I tried the chicken nachos and my husband had the beef soft tacos. I also got a house margarita. The chicken nachos were amazing! I love that they had some cream cheese in there! The chicken was very tasty as well. My husband loved his beef tacos so much that he ordered two more (and it's rare for him to like food that much to just get more of the same). I had some of his rice, which was also really good. I loved that the service was so fast/friendly and that they were able to make our stuff to order (since my husband had some things left off of his tacos and this wasn't a problem at all for them). The margarita was huge and not too sweet. Cheers Drunken Worm!

My boyfriend and live walking distance from this place. We go there once every week or two because it's not only close, it's also become one of our favorite places. My favorite menu item so far is the chicken drunken worm tacos. Those plus their rice and beans are all incredible. My friend let me try a bite of her tamale the other day and it was also delicious. Modelo is my usual go to, cheap and delicious. But the bartenders are also very knowledgable about their selections and are always accommodating to help you figure out what kind of cocktail you would like. Annie is usually my bartender and she is always super nice and bubbly. I could go on and on about their delicious food and tequilas, but I'll leave it at 5 stars and say I highly recommend!

Hubby and I felt this place had a cool neighborhood bar vibe. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had lunch and so I can't really tell you what the place is like at night, but I'm guessing it would be fun. I had 2 shrimp tacos and felt they were very filling. They had a nice flavor with lots of cabbage for crunch and little onion rings on top. The black beans were nicely seasoned. Hubby ordered the tamales and thought they were very tasty. Our only negative comment would be that there was quite a delay between when his tamales were brought to the table and when my tacos showed up. They weren't busy, so I'm not sure what caused the delay, but it's awkward when one person has to sit and watch the other person eat. We spent $18 for two lunches and a beer.

I went here last night for the first time. The service was awful. We got our chips and salsa after our meal was on the table. No one took our drink order until we sat there for 10 mins. It took us easily 20 mins to get a food order in. Food was sub par... And to top it all of, I now have food poisoning. Will not be coming back. Save yourself the trouble. Go to chipotle down the street.

We love this place. We have visited the place several times. The owner Matt is Very nice to us when we come in. Its great great to go to a bar where the owner makes the drinks as well as excellent bartenders. The margaritas are outstanding, best I have ever had. They are better than ones i have had at Jimmy Buffets place in Cancun Mexico, better than Hawaii, and better than many other top places we have been such as Negril, Jamaica. We tried the food last night for the first time. It was excellent. The full plate of Nachos was a Very large Portion my Dad loved them. He loves great nachos. I thought the char grilled steak tacos were awesome. I usually don't order steak tacos anymore as most places don't use high grade quality steak. The steak was very tender and a very high quality could taste it was marinated and was gourmet. Best steak tacos I have seen in years. The only other place that we would get steak tacos or Carne Asada was the old Mi Cocina, from Dallas, they were the only other place that had great steak Tacos, its the place on the plaza where the Chiefs used to hangout in the basement, the new version is not great. I love the Jalisco Mule as well, which is a specialty drink with Patron Silver Tequila and Ginger Beer, and excellent creation, i prefer them to moscow mules. They have the best selection of Tequilas I have ever seen. Some rare ones' I never had before. The Gran Mayan is excellent and the Don Julio 1942. All of the tequilas are great Annie Turned me onto the Peligroso its also awesome, and I liked a new favorite Don Lumas. I also enjoy the Avion Silver in a mixed drink with Ginger Beer. Annie is a great addition to the bar. She also makes outstanding drinks. I highly recommend this place for the best selection of tequilas you will find from here To LA, as well as Best margaritas you will ever drink, as well as some great Nachos and wonderful Steak Tacos. Give them a try its one of the coolest and best places in this Whole City Its like being in a bar in LA or somewhere, totally unique and wonderful food and drinks.

This place is awesome!! It is my go to on Monday nights. Dez the bartender has a wide selection of uniquely infused tequilas. Monday night they are on special. This week I had the pumpkin pie flavor with caramel and sugar around the rim and loved it! Dez is so friendly and is great at helping you pick something out to try. They also have multiple TV's to watch the games on. If your looking to get your fix on tequila and a good conversation. Drunken Work is the place to go.

Very nice waiters and bartenders. Little slow on the service but we came on a Friday night at 10 o'clock. (So I'm not surprised or even mad) One hell of a selection in tequilas. So many. Tacos are great and its great for beers and chips and salsa. Great little place. Great place to hang out with friends with cheap food and drinks.

The food was absolutely amazing! We came for brunch and devoured every bite. Definitely get the jalapeño cheddar bites instead of the hash browns. Golden fried deliciousness. $10 bottomless mimosas. Ask about the fruit drizzle for your hot cakes. Cool atmosphere and great decor. Price points for everybody

Came in here for the first time yesterday with a friend... The atmosphere is fun and inviting (although a tad dark) with lots of quirky mexican themed art and knick-knacks on the walls (but not in an obnoxious way) There are a few tables but my friend and I sat at the bar, had one of the best margaritas of my life (I think it was called the Pinata?) and some pretty delicious tacos, we came early enough for their lunch special, we had 2 tacos, beans, and rice for $4.99. The menu is fairly small as this place is more of a bar than a restaurant, but it's definitely not "bar food". The tacos were delicious. Mine had mushrooms, onions, peppers, cilantro, queso fresca and whatever else, my friend had crispy ground beef (the fried tortilla was soooooo gooooood) Our bartender was super friendly and laid back. I'll definitely be back.

I have been here twice now. I want to love it- but it's just not great. We went for dinner- NO ONE was in the place. There were two servers- surely they can handle two patrons. A group of three did come in shortly after. So, we order- the server/bartender/manager then goes away and is eating - in the front of house. Not cool. She didn't come back to see if we wanted drinks or anything. Let it be known- the only thing they serve here is TACOS so, there is NO excuse for the food not being great. The chicken tacos were dry dry dry. AND it's chicken MIXED WITH CREAM CHEESE! How can cream cheese be dry? It was. The fish taco tasted fishy and was smelly- which, as everyone knows, indicates that the fish isn't fresh. It would have tasted ok other than that. The shrimp taco was pretty good. The beef was ok- a little bland but saved by the fact that it was fried. The chorizo was also pretty dry. We did finally manage to get a margarita- it was pretty bland. Certainly not very strong. Heavy on the artificial mixer. The service was also very inattentive. There is a young girl who works behind the bar who is very friendly, attentive and a great server. The lady working tonight hardly paid attention to us at all. Seriously, there is hardly anyone in the place- where's the service? Too bad. I was hoping to make this a neighborhood spot but- I guess not.

I wanted so much to love this neighborhood joint. Great neighborhood shops, decor sets the mood. Did some shopping and was readynto finish the afternoon with some great food, drinks and planed to stay an catch the football game. It took the better part of the game to discover their ONE hidden talent.......Infused flavored Tequilas. We started with soft drinks and tea with our food. The tea was fantastic fresh and perfactly blended. The soft drink my husband ordered was flat BOTH times it was returned, he finally gave up an went with water. The food....what can I say. I dont think you need to be a chef to understand that your coustomers may not enjoy the grease literally dripping from their tacos while they are eating. All I can say to the owner is that the basic level of lazy cooking showed all thru our meal. To make my point even the chips were stale and the oil they were cooked in was rancid enough you could taste it in the chip itself, if you can't master FRESH delicious chips and salsa you need to give up the rest of the menue. We stumbled upon the infused Tequilas by accident....... Our waiter did not recommend it. My advice to the owner is to pay attention to detail and loose the lazy in your food quality. Promote the Tequilas. My advice to potential patrons......eat before you go and check out the Tequilas The bartender Annie is excellent ask her advice on that. Annie knows her stuff.

The mango salsa and the rice were the best I'd ever had. Chicken tacos got rave reviews. Big ol' margarita for $5. Tilapia taco was underwhelming, but that's fine, just choose from one of their other awesome choices.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(4)Andrea S.

(4)Kevin D.

(4)Angie H.
this place was great, quiet during the lunch hour, cheap tacos 4 for $3, sweet heat shots $3, mexican martini was amazing!! doesn't hurt that the bartender was hot!! looks like he was running the place alone too. i may go back tonight for happy hour so i can try his infused tequila!
(5)Tyra W.
(4)Tom G.

This place is amazing !!! Best food and service I've had in years !!! Atmosphere is awesome . Needs to be in everyone's list to try . And If u like tequila they have 85 different ones , I'm gonna try them all!!!

If your not a local. Don't expect a bartender to pay attention. Has a lot of potential.

One of my favorite bars to hangout at! Great environment and great staff.

(1)Bobbi K.
Friendly people, wonderful service great tacos! They also have breakfast until 2:00 pm on weekends! Fun atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
(5)Jo G.
(4)Lizzie H.
(4)Lauren P.
(4)Janice N.
The food was good, the drinks were excellent, and the staff was the best. Worm Nachos, a mixed trio and f tacos and 3 custom Margs didn't break our checkbook either. Go here!
(5)Jessica N.
(1)Spencer S.
(2)Johnny D.
Great staff and great food. Local hangout Is pretty damn awesome. Also the Mexican wrestling decorations are hilarious
(5)Ryan R.
(4)Abbey A.
(4)Tricia B.
(3)GlutenFreeKev M.
(3)Bill B.
(4)Susan T.
(4)Meredith R.
(5)Michelle M.
The worm dip is delicious! Fun, dive bar-ish atmosphere. Great spot to watch a game because there are a lot of TVs. Margaritas could use some work.
(4)Emily L.
(5)Kathy M.
(4)Cory B.
The Hang-Over Classic is the best! Great place to chill and be sure and shake hands with the wrestler at the door.
(5)Jessica D.
Tasty food. Definitely a dive bar. We split 3 tacos.. Chorizo, steak. Pulled pork. And shrimp. The chorizo and the shrimp were the best.

Great restaurant/bar. Very cool atmosphere. Love the new menu, Worm dip and steak worm taco's are incredible! Owner really is innovative in the way he runs the business and the employees are quality/friendly. Will be there as often as possible.
