Great place to have a quiet lunch. Nice clean atmosphere, and service is always good, like going to see family. When you go you have to try the Chipotle potato salad. Or you can buy it and take it home. Stop by and grab some lunch you won't be sorry.

I have to say, for a 'coffee shop' their espresso maker hasn't been used in months! It just sits there on the back counter. They also advertise on their window that they have ice cream. hmmm they only have Vanilla, so I'm not sure that is worth advertising. On a better note, they do have very tasty pies. We tried the apple pie and it was very good.

We were passing through town and stopped by Cooper's for lunch. We got the pulled BBQ pork sandwich and grandma's chicken salad, both of which were delicious. FYI, The chicken salad is nuts and fruit free, which is my favorite type. We also got some cheesy garlic bread with marinera as an app and it was good too. They have Route 66 sodas which we had never seen before, and the root beer is made with real sugar and tastes really good. I'd recommend this place for lunch for sure.

Cooper's 66 is a pretty cute little spot on the corner of 2nd and Main Street. I've only gone once for lunch and really enjoyed the Grandma's Chicken Salad sandwich served with pickles and kettle chips. My dining companion tried a berry smoothie and said it was great as well. It's kind of dark and cozy inside, which I liked. There's definitely a down home route 66 motif but it's classy enough to make a nice little haunt. Not too cheesy. The day I ate there, it was very quiet but quickly filled up at noon. Two employees (seemed like they may be the owners) definitely hovered a bit too much, but it wasn't a problem. They were extremely accommodating and anticipated the needs of diners on a lunch break. I really appreciated that! I'll return to Cooper's soon because their list of specialty coffee drinks and Italian sodas was extensive and sounded terrific.

I really wanted to like Cooper's. I drive past it on a daily basis and kept thinking 'oh yeah, I should go in there and check it out.' Well, today my coworker and I decided to take a break and walk over to grab a cup of coffee. Upon entering, we thought it was a cute little place. Granted, the Route 66 stuff is a little kitchy but it's still cute. The place was very clean and other than one table of people already well into their meals we were the only patrons at the time. Unfortunately, the espresso machine was down at the time so our drink choices were rather limited. I ordered a soy chai latte and my coworker ordered an iced tea. After asking if I wanted whipped cream on my soy latte (uh, no) she set to work on our drinks....After she finished making a blended drink for one of the employees, hailed him loudly across the cafe, and had the other employee take it to him. My chai came up quickly, once she started actually making it, and while it tasted more soy milk than chai, it was passable. The girl informed my coworker that she'd have her tea to her in 'just a second' so we walked over to the couch area to grab a copy of The Current. As we were standing there, waiting for the iced tea, we realized the two employees were chatting with one another, with their backs to us, and had completely forgotten about the iced tea. As we approached, the girl making the drinks realized she still had half our order to fill and had the other employee go to the back to 'pour' the tea. My coworker was really disappointed in both the wait time and the quality of her iced tea. It would be nice if they offered something other than your standard lipton black tea from a pitcher. They do, after all, have a rack of Stash tea on the drink counter. All-in-all, I'd say we probably won't be returning to Coopers any time soon. The overall service and quality were not what you would hope for or expect from a new business on a mission to WOW people.

I've been meaning to try out this place ever since they opened up a couple years ago. I admit I don't get downtown that often, or when I think of where I want to have lunch I forget that Cooper's exists. However, I made an effort last Saturday - finally! - after all this time. The restaurant itself is pretty cute if you're into cutesy Route 66 decor. It's rather spacious, however, and very clean and neat. We had an older lady present our menus to us, and I'm not sure if she's the owner or what, but she was very friendly and pointed out the popular menu items. Decided to go with what was popular as that seems to make the most sense. I selected the Grandma's Chicken Salad with the Smoked Chipotle Potato Salad as my side, and my husband got the Pulled Pork with coleslaw. Apparently the chicken salad is an old family recipe, and it's very delicious. For those who need to know, this is not a grapes and pecans version of chicken salad. I loved it. The potato salad was very smokey and a little spicy, not ultra creamy. I've had better and I've had worse. It was decent but not indulgent. My husband had the pulled pork and he did not enjoy it. It was sweet, a style he does not prefer. But more than that, he just felt it was a really poor quality product. He knows his BBQ, so perhaps he is a little more discerning than your average customer. I tried it and it tasted just fine to me. I would have eaten it and been perfectly happy. Granted, it didn't knock my socks off, but it's rare that kind of thing happens to me anyway. As for the coleslaw, if you like Long John Silver's then you'll love Cooper's 66 - they taste almost if not exactly the same. Would we go back? Probably. Wouldn't mind sampling something else, or at least to try one of their coffees. And the chicken salad really is worth going back for.

Sweet sweet place with a sweet lady. The food was par and my client quite enjoyed the pie.
