My dad was born and raised in Missouri and most of my family from his side live in the KC area so I have been coming here all my life. This past weekend I came to KC for one of my cousin's baby shower and stayed with an aunt and uncle that live in Raytown. I normally don't eat breakfast but I brought my son and he always eats breakfast so my family brought us here. Apparently, this was not their first time because the food server knew them very well. I actually came here twice because my son liked their food. The first morning I had the biscuits and gravy. The gravy is made with sausage and it heart clogging good. The second morning I had their breakfast burrito...not the special but the one on the regular menu and it was in a chili type sauce which sounds gross but it was really good. I think I may have gained 10 pounds from those two breakfasts alone.

Drive by this place- don't stop-here- going fishing, stopped by for breakfast-mistake--- Walked in the door to see two elderly people waiting for an employee to fix a sign with the cook. Hum??? customers, money? hum....It went down hill from here-we were seated by a waitress that talks way to loud, she was nice but to loud, Then it happened! The two waitress/manager started talking about another woman that works there. Accross the restaurant!!! While putting out set ups, how she called in and how she this and how she that--------coffee tastes like crap!!!!----due to the unprofessional manner of those two employees, wouldn't be for long if I had a say so, I have now been jaded. Bob if your out there, this place needs some training and muzzles. And to have a manager comment on 'all the stuff they want us to put on the table, hows that effect the profit?" (she was the one wearing the Pretty white shirt)-across the tables-would lead her right to the unemployment line if i were the franchises owner....Good luck to all.............

I wouldn't put much, if any, stock in the review about this place being a health hazard. I'm surprised it's not filtered since it's that person's only review...ever. I've eaten here many times and have never been sick. I ate at the front counter today and I can tell you what I saw was one of the cleanest places I've ever seen behind the counter. The service is always friendly and the breakfast is always very good no matter what we've ordered. The biscuits and sausage gravy are the absolute best I've ever had, bar none. Brownish gravy with lots of ground sausage on top of fluffy biscuits. The dinner is a little marginal, but cheap. One thing I don't like...the coffee. It has that chikory flavor to it and the creamer is the fake stuff. No matter how much of it you put in your coffee it only makes it just slightly lighter in color. Blah! (Edit: You can ask for real cream! Yeahhh!)

Do not waste your time. I ordered coffee and the restaurant was out of creamer...at a place that serves breakfast on a Saturday morning. WTF. Then my eggs came out swimming in a pile of grease. I couldn't eat the food it was disgusting. The manager did offer to recook it "not in oil". Not sure why it was cooked that way to begin with but I decided just to opt out at that point. Will not return.
