Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

So, once upon a time I would have consistently given place 5 Stars; however, it has gone down hill at an alarming rate. My daughter and I went here for Mothers Day, not only was the service slow and inconsistent (they were not busy), the food was cold and not well cooked AND our server smelled of feces...like a lot. You could smell him coming to the table. It was so bad that I could hardly speak to him. Very disappointing.

It took three years of living in the Harrisonville area to try Best Burrito. My mistake. This place is good! I personally prefer a thinner chip but the homemade salsa makes up for the thicker chips. The menu has excellent variety. Being a seafood guy, I really enjoy the Arroz con Camarones. You get eight or nine large shrimp in a sautéed backdrop of onions, mushrooms and black olives, combined in a spicy sauce and served over rice. Very tasty. The service is prompt and friendly. The portions are huge and the price is modest.

It is truly the Best Burrito! Try the super burrito with shredded beef. Chips and salsa are excellent and the service is fast and friendly. Quality authentic Mexican food.

Authentic food quick service and the food was yummy! Chips and salsa was good and we ordered the cheese dip which was perfect and not runny at all. The Super Burrito was just that! And the avocado tostado was huge and very good as well. We will return!

RAVE Lunch at Best Burrito in Harrisonville. $3.99 lunch special today 2 tacos, rice and beans. Good homecooked rice and beans..not out of a can. Owners on site and came around several times to talk and make sure all was good. Awesome margaritas. Great and fast service. Can't say enough about this place. Definitely going back.

Food came out super quick, hot and fresh. The smell of simmered meat and spicy salsa was overpowering inside but deliciously so. The decor was bright and done in traditional Mexican style. Only things I would have loved were if the chips were cantina style instead of so thick and they had music on. It seemed like when we talked, the cooks could hear us over the frying pan.

I have to update my previous great review after receiving poor service today. I ordered a shrimp and mushroom dish with sour cream sauce. The shrimp had the tails on, which wasn't evident at first since the shrimp was surrounded by sauce. I later complained about it to the server, whose brusque response was, "That's the way it is." There was no hint of apology. The sour cream sauce was tasteless and runny at first. After my food arrived, no one bothered to ask if I needed anything else or whether everything was OK. I was just ignored. When I finished, I didn't receive a check, so I went to the check stand and waited a bit. The same server took my payment without saying thank you, please come back, or anything pleasant. It is disappointing that this place has gone downhill so rapidly.

The Pollo de ?? Chicken and mushroom in a sour cream sauce is incredible!!! Fast, friendly service! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there was no plantain! Gotta have plantain! Overall great restaurant!

Authentic Mexican cuisine at a fantastic price. I've never had a bad meal here. I always look forward to dining at Best Burrito! Great combination platters for small or large appetites! Their fresh chips and salsa are spot on. Another bonus is their large drink size. They will even offer To-Go cups before you head out. I usually order the cheese enchiladas - two or three depending on my hunger. Cheesy, fresh and rich in Mexican taste. The beans and rice served with entrees are full of flavor. Nothing is bland here. Their guacamole is creamy and perfect. The wait staff is friendly, informative and always speedy. I highly recommend Best Burrito!!

Food average or little above other mexican restaurants. Which is not saying much. Decor is terrible. Service average. Employees only talk english to customers. Too much yelling in spanish betwenn employees. This is US. Speak english. Dont take American Express. Just giving 2stars because of that. Had to wait too long to get check paid. Help standing in back gibbering Spanish and not taking care of the customer like usual nowadays.

This is a pretty good and inexpensive family Mexican restaurant. Chips: Thick and crunchy, with a toasty flavor Salsa: Both the mild and the hot taste fresh, but the mild is somewhat bland. The hot salsa could be a little richer but had the flavors the mild salsa was lacking. Cheese dip: Pretty basic, but rich and creamy. Stayed warm throughout the entire meal, which is a big plus. I was part of a group of thirteen people, none of whom had ever been here before. Everyone ordered something different, and everyone liked their food and devoured their platters. Or, at least as much as they could -- the portions are huge! I had the Fiesta Fajitas. It was a little skimpy on the shrimp but was plentiful in the other ingredients. It didn't have a strong flavor, but the meat was tender and juicy and the assembled fajitas tasted quite good. Service was very good, especially considering that we descended on the place near closing time. Refills came quickly and we were checked on frequently. Every order came out right. Total tab came to about $112, not bad at all for 13 people!

Decent prices but not my favorite Mexican. That is probably personal opinion though as a LOT of people I know prefer this place. We don't argue when our friends want to meet there. The place is ALWAYS packed (we live a few blocks away). The chips and salsa are pretty tasty. I get the fajitas as that seems to be the tastiest menu item. Despite the crowd I never have to wait more than ten minutes to get a seat as the service is exceptional and fast. I suggest you try the place out. If you love the food, you'll be back pretty regularly.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in western Missouri. Food, salsa, and wait staff are all excellent. Cute restaurant. I love to stop here for lunch fajitas.

Best Burrito is generally packed because the food is so good. Even if you have to wait it is generally less than 10 min. The best thing on the menu is not surprisingly the burrito. Any menu item you can select what type of meat you want (shredder beef or chicken, ground beef, pork) for no extra charge. Our family eats here about twice a week.

Excellent service, super friendly and very accommodating staff, tasty authentic Mexican food! Very good prices for huge servings! Be sure to try the fried ice cream!

Food was decent. Portions are huge. They do not have a bar. Just bottled beer. Service was pretty good.

Yummy! The food is awesome and the margaritas are even better. They have great lunch specials and you can tell the salsa is fresh. I don't know which one is the owner because they all take care of you like it is their restaurant. I think I know where I am going for lunch tomorrow. : )

Authentic Mexican food @ reasonable prices in Harrisonville. Are you kidding, no wonder they are always packed.
(4)Holly G.
Love the lunch fajitas...huge portions, no gristle, great price. So good I haven't tried much else on the menu. The fish tacos served only during Lenten Fridays are not to be missed. The ingredients are always fresh. Basic good Mexican food. Reasonable prices. My friend with connections in the Health Department said it was one of the cleanest kitchens in town. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for some south of the border fare and you're south of KC.
