3 Words says it all, "Under New Management!" Though I don't know who was the owner prior to who runs China Garden now , I can tell you this place has the *Wow* factor when comes to a simple in and out Chinese restaurant. That means I was wowed! whatsup?!?!? To start off, what makes one simple Chinese restaurant better than another? It is hard to say because all Chinese restaurants serve practically the same menu and look the same. China Garden for one happens to be the cleanest and brightest store I ever been in. From front to back, this place looks brand new. The menu, the pictures, the counter, everything looks fresh and appealing. That should sell you right there even though I know people don't need anything to be sold of Chinese food. All I can say is that the food is made fresh and is very tasty and the customer service is as kind as it gets when you think of all the bad things happening in Florissant right now. That is actually a compliment. The food is decently priced and made quick to order. I tried the Bourbon Chicken even though I was recommended the Hot Braised Chicken. I was trying to go for something lighter. The chicken taste super fresh and sauce made to order and I enjoyed my visit. If you are ever in the area, you should check it out because it is more than just average Chinese food, though I know it isn't a PF Changs, it gets the job done, and quickly to satisfy your hunger. Feel Good, Act Good, Be Good. dp

Pretty average Chinese restaurant. Food was decent but nothing great. Language barrier was a bit of an issue, the guy said they took Discover CC, but the lady (wife?) corrected and said only Mastercard. Turns out the CC machine didn't even work. Luckily, my friend had cash and could pay. They also forgot to put my goons in my bag which was a huge disappointment since I like them the best! They do have really cheap prices compared to others though. My combination plate was only 4.25 which included rice and 2 goons (although I didn't make it home with any). Overall, I will try them again and hopefully have a better experience. This restaurant had recently opened when I visited, so maybe they're working the kinks out.

There are a number of different Chinese restaurants in Florissant/Hazelwood. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is the best tasting food you can get for your money in the area. Now, a quick flashback: before China Garden existed, I used to drive all the way out to Bridgeton to hit up China House (at St Charles Rock Rd/Lindbergh) because they had this amazing combo meal deal. For around five bucks, you basically got this giant heaping portion of your favorite entree and a truck load of pork fried rice stuffed into a large box, along with an egg roll or crab rangoon. As soon as I heard China Garden had opened up in Florissant, I tried them out, hoping that maybe they would offer the same deal as China House. Much to my delight, they do! In fact, both restaurants have nearly the exact same menu, leading me to wonder if they are owned by the same family (or if Chinese restaurants just don't care about menu design in general...who knows!) The staff is very friendly, and can keep orders rolling out at a steady pace, even when the place is packed with people. I recommend phoning your order in, as it usually takes about 15 minutes or so for them to get your food ready. As for the food itself: 1. Hot Braised Chicken: The gold standard for judging Chinese food. Theirs is tasty, though not as spicy as I hoped it would be, and could stand to use a bit more sauce that it's cooked in. I've tried asking for my order to be "extra spicy" but I've never had it hotter than a mild hot. 2. Chicken with Garlic sauce: One of my personal recommendations. It's baked chicken mixed with a myriad of different vegtables, from water chestnuts, to green pepper, mushroom, and carrots, in a slightly sweet garlic sauce that has a nice tang to it. 3. Shrimp with Chilli sauce: The sleeper hit. Possibly my new favorite menu item. It's sweet, spicy, and mixed with peas. Protip: If you forget to phone your order in, you're right next to a Shop 'N Save. Perfect opportunity to pick up some things you might need instead of just waiting inside China Garden the whole time for your order to get ready.

the lunch combos here are on the money. i had the hot braised boneless chicken which was very good with a nice hint of spice. my only complaint is it took about 12 to 15 mins to get my order. so if you i would have called ahead i would have given it 5 stars.
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
