Long time for waiter to come and take our order. Getting the food after the order took forever. 4 of the 5 of us were unimpressed with our food. My black bean wrap was quite oily.

One of my absolute FAVORITE restaurants in town. The Nacho's Bianco are delicious. They are made with wanton chips and topped with chicken and asiago cheese sauce. We also have them add black beans. There are so many good things here.. Ill try to name my favorites. The nachos I mentioned before, Crab Rangoon dip, pepper jack cheese fries (on late night menu but can be ordered anytime), Chicken Philly, Blue Steak Wrap, Addisons Burger... the list goes on. Try this place if you havent'!

Food was on the low end of mediocre. Appalling bar with nothing in stock.

  • Sarah F.

TWO things stopped me from giving this place 4 stars (1) service at the bar is slow and leaves a little to be desired. If you are at a table, you will most likely have fine service. and (2) the food quality might be going down a little...I want to go back once more to be sure though. The main reason I wanted to write a review is to say this: Order the phyllo-wrapped brownie!! You will not regret it. It might be the best dessert item at any restaurant in CoMo! Do it! Also, their nachos bianco are great!

  • Jennifer T.

Read some great reviews and decided this was definitely the place we needed to go. I didn't hesitate to order the mojito fries with my Cuban. Sadly, the fries were soggy (my sis tried to convince me it was drizzled with sauce--more like soaked). The Cuban was just ok. I might come here again and just try something else.

This was my first time and I enjoyed it. My wife and I went in the early afternoon for a late lunch. She had the Nachos Bianco and enjoyed them. I had the roast beef french dip with the mojito french fries, both really good. I'll be back to try something else soon.

Sweet potato chips. I could end my review there. The menu is well balanced, there are some really great items, and some that are ok. The bartenders are knowledgeable and very good at what they do. Get a martini, get some sweet potato chips to share, and then go for something on the (not terribly extensive) menu that suits your mood. I wouldn't be able to afford eating or drinking there every night, but I usually go there when I'm meeting with someone, celebrating something, or craving their unbelievably good sweet potato chips. The dip that comes with them is equally desirable.

Addison's is one of COlumbia's best. The food is unique and good. The happy hour specials at night are also great. Get the nacho's bianca!

Nachos were great. Don't go if you are in a hurry.

Not only is this place great for dinner, it's also awesome for late night snacks and beer. I recommend the crab rangoon dip, the nachos bianco, or the mediterranean pizza. If you get a meal with a side get the roasted garlic smashed potatoes. I could eat them as a meal. And, if you have room for dessert, I love the phyllo brownie.

  • Jeff P.

Great food. The nachos are not the best I've ever had, but they are really good. I'm just not much of a melted cheese fan, and there's no salsa...? The chicken philly was really good too. Definitely a nicer spot to eat and have a beer around town...a respectable spot, where at any given time during the weekend, you can find plenty of college kiddos going to lunch with mom and dad.

This is a pretty good place to try here in town. good atmosphere I had good service, and the balsamic pizza was good as well

  • Michael S.

I would really say meh, but I get why some people like it. The atmosphere is cheery and bright. I remember the waitstaff being helpful also. The food was just OK though. Not bad but I just don't suggest it to friends. First time I went I had the Southwest Tortilla Salad and the Mango Mahi Mahi the next. Addison's interior is welcoming and the bar looks like fun so I think there is still reason to at least give it a chance. On a side note the first time I went there was with a friend from home and he had the Brandy Au Poivre Filet. After the meal he said he'd rather have gone to Booche's again, and he'd been on an aircraft carrier for a few months.

We had brunch here and I enjoyed it far more than my husband. I would LOVE to go back, but he found it only two stars, while I would give it four. (Hence the three star rating here) He had a french toast dish (which I liked!) and I had an interesting version of Eggs Benedict, which I also liked. He thought both were just o.k. The atmosphere was modern and "hipster" (again, this is Columbia, NOT L.A.) with a comfortable, clean feel. (Eateries in Columbia can often feel tired or neglected)

  • Catherine R.

They have a late night menu (yay!) and it's delicious. A nice place to grab a bite and a yummy drink. I'll definitely go back during normal dinner hours.

Came in on a Friday night and boy, was it packed! Waited over 30 minutes for a table, so not too bad. Had a few beers at the bar while we waited, so not too shabby. Came in on an addsheet deal and it was so worth it! Got the bleu steak wrap with mojito fries and whoever thought of that concoction together ( bleu cheese, mashed potatoes, steak, and mushrooms ) is pure genius. Talk about comfort food! My fries were ok. They were a little softer than I liked. The mojito seasonings made up for it. I still can't get the pulled pork nachos out of my head. Will definitely be back for those!

8 in our party 5:15 on a very busy Columbia weekend. Got seated immediately. Nachos Bianco with black beans, it was lent, AMAZING fried won tons instead of tortilla chips. So good. The group ordered a variety, the steak special looked perfect and cooked just to order. Three had the tuna with risotto asparagus again so good. A smoked turkey wrap, French dip and the salmon. All prepared with care. A few cocktails and the whole meal for 8 was a very reasonable, worth amount charged. Server was great. Attentive kind good at his job.

Loved this place. We hit up Addison's before a comedy show at De Ja Vu on a Saturday night. It was busy when we put our name down but the wait didn't take long. I really really really enjoyed the Nachos. So yum! I shared a photo here. The drinks were the reason I subtracted a star. Very small, very weak and very expensive. Other than that, I enjoyed my dinner and it's definitely somewhere I'd visit again.

Since moving away from CoMo, there are several restaurant spots that I must hit when I get back. Addison's nachos Bianco are worth the visit. They come in two sizes and the large is so big three of us couldn't finish it. Plus they have local logboat beer on tap.

  • Ava K.

Thursday evening $2 beers. Good deal Nachos were pretty good. Huge portions and lasted me 2 meals. Went for lunch and we had no wait time. Only thing I didn't like about nachos were the olives. There were too many. I'm not sure if they lived up to the hype either, though they were still very good. My friend did not like her Flatbread pizza

  • Lillian R.

Get the Bianco Nachos as an app, it's a must. The pulled pork sandwich is great, as well as the black bean wrap! Not too expensive, and casual enough to grab a beer in the afternoon or go for dinner.

  • Enrique S.

Got the turkey wrap tonight to share since we got the Nacho's Bianco. The turkey wrap was a little bland tonight and the side of fries was pretty small. Nacho's Bianco is always a treat! The restaurant was crowded, but we got there early enough to get the last open table with no wait. Service was prompt. The restaurant was clean. Aside from the disappoint turkey wrap - it was a good visit. I have had the turkey wrap several times in the past and it was just fine.

Really good service, good food. My dad and I were on a road trip and stopped here, I got the Bianco Nachos which were amazing, and I got the leftovers put in a box for my dogs who were waiting in the car. I forgot the box inside and they accidentally threw it away but offered to whip something up for my dogs which I gratefully declined but it was a very nice gesture. Thanks guys!

  • Matt S.

The "nachos" are great. Sandwiches were ok. I felt like everything had a cheese sauce poured on it. I ordered steamed broccoli as a side for my sandwich and it too was covered in cheese sauce. I would stick with appetizers. Great beer selection. Nice atmosphere.

Well... I've done all I can do, Addison's. After last night, I can say I will never be back! I got HORRIBLE food poisoning last night (had to go to a doctor and everything, it was so bad) after eating their pulled pork. The first time I called, a waiter even told me it had happened to someone the night before, but they had "made a new batch." When I got a hold of the owner, Adam, he was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. Not once did he apologize. He was asking me all sorts of probing questions (who I was with, where I was sitting, what dressing was on my salad, etc) without once explaining why he was asking these questions or apologizing for what I had gone through. He didn't mention that someone else had been sick the day before, but I assume that's because he would have rather continued to berate me over the phone and make me feel like an idiot. He was horrible. Such a disappointment when you spend lots of hard earned money on a meal that makes you sick and then get the owner on the phone who could care less about what happened. I would expect an establishment of this kind to treat their customers better than that. Stay away. I warned you. Go to another good restaurant in town where you will be treated with respect and not get food poisoning.

Over priced sad food...bad service. One of the most confused places I have ever been to. The food was over salty, and oily. The waitress had clue about anything.

Well, I hadn't been in town in about 4-5 years, but I used to eat here all of the time in college, then again when I was back for grad school, and for a third stint when I covered Columbia as part of my sales territory. It used to be one of my favorites. Needless to say, based in my 2 stars, I was disappointed. Maybe I had it on a pedestal from years ago, or maybe it's the fact that I'm almost 40, and my tastes are more refined. So I started with Calamari, and while the breading light and crisp, it basically just fell right off the calamari rings. Something clearly needs to be changed in the batter so it stays on. Also, the aioli was not good. Looked like plain mayo, with wasabi mixed in. Would have rather just had marinara. House salad was next, and it we as fine. Nothing special, but it was a salad. Finished with the Mediterranean Pizza, and I added pepperoni. Also, subpar. Crust was a little tok doughy. Cheese was way too thick. And there were literally 6 slices of pepperoni in the whole pizza.(I counted them) All in all, a disappointing experience. Only gave it 2 stars because the bartender did a decent job, was attentive, the two beers I had were good, and be kept my water full. I can only hope that when I visit the sister restaurant, which was another favorite of mine, I do not have the same disappointing experience.

Great ambiance and service. Nice menu I had the Diablo pasta and shrimp and it was perfect. I saw an order of nachos come out that looked to die for. They use pasta chips instead of tortillas. Go check it out.

I love Addison's. I came here for years in college, and now it's my first thought for food or a drink whenever I come back. They are great for groups, provide good service, though a bit slower to get food out at busier times, naturally. They have a great draft list with lots of local craft options and seasonals. If you drink beer, this is the best happy hour options. It's lively but not nasty (unlike many of the nearby college bars). It's got a great menu, reasonably priced, with some unique options. The nachos bianco (also a happy hour special) cannot be missed. Also, the Thai peanut wrap is a delicious vegetarian option. Still, it's mostly standard contemporary American fare The decor is nice and cleaner than lots of other bars with a decent happy hour. The crowd is a little more mature, thank goodness, but diverse as well. The paintings inside are very intriguing too. It's a local joint, and I'm glad to have celebrated many a momentous occasion here.

Awesome. Incredible Service by Mona!!! Jalapeño Smothered Pork Chop is to die for. Great place and they welcome you 3 minutes before opening time like they are glad to see you.

Very good food and service. We visited the night before homecoming and the place was packed. The staff handles everything very well. I have the pulled pork BBQ and it was excellent. We were planning on visiting the following night but someone ran their car into the building. Hope everyone is ok and the place gets fixed.

Addison's is my spot for $2 drafts past 9 on week days. Exceptional service and a great environment make for a great restaurant experience. I'll be back again. Can not really go wrong with anything on the menu.

I have never understood why people are so crazy about Addison's. I have been there several times because my friends like it and every time I go in with an open mind thinking, "Maybe I just got them on a bad day." But, alas, each time I am disappointed. The service is never very good, the food is mediocre, the atmosphere is only so-so. My advice is skip it.

Came here for some late night food. We ordered the turkey wrap which was pretty good but nothing special. We got an order of mojito fries which were a bit too greasy. By far the best part our meal was the phyllo brownie with vanilla bean ice cream! It was HUGE enough to feed 3 or 4 people because of how decadent and rich it was. It definately satisfied our sweet tooth for the night. If anything I would come back anytime for that dessert.

  • Nicholas B.

The only reason to go here is the Nachos. If you don't like Wantons, maybe you should go someplace less expensive (ask for things you are questioning on the side). If you aren't here during happy hour, be prepared to give your money in exchange for good food, but maybe not the best food in the world.

So I come to visit columbia and take my daughter to dinner, and seeing the reviews about Addison's I thought "why not". Thinking it will be good, I was quite disappointed instead. The hostess was very nice in greeting and seating us, and the ambiance is good. But that is where the positives stop. Our waitress took a long while to show up, when she finally did, it was hurried and impersonal. We just ordered entree's and I ordered a glass of wine. After about 15 min's the food came out, and I hadn't seen our waitress or my glass of wine since we last spoke. After dropping off the entree's she tells me "Your glass of wine should be ready any moment"... Really... it takes the bartender more than 15 min's to pour a glass of wine. Either the bartender is extremely slow, or the waitress forgot and just lied to me about my wine taking a long time to prepare?!?! Food was not what I expected: I ordered the seared sesame tuna steak and my daughter had the chicken asiago pasta. Mine had too much wasabi over the entire dish and each bite was overwhelmingly hot, with the rice served undercooked. The pasta was drowned in a heavy cream/cheese sauce that looked more like soup than a pasta dish. Before I finished my place, I finished my wine, but the waitress never came around to check or offer another glass. When she did show up, we still were working on our dishes, and instead of asking how we were doing, she asked if we wanted our dishes boxed up???? Ahhhhh... NO, we are still in the middle of eating our meals. What the heck? Next she stops by a little time afterwards and asks if we want anything else or the check. We decide enough is enough, so we ask for the check. Which she promptly dropped on the table. As I'm talking to my daughter, the waitress comes back by and asks to get the check, which I had not filled out yet, so now she tells me that her shift had been over and that she needed to leave.... Ahhh now it all comes together. Poor service, no refill on wine, no offers of desert or other items like coffee... just "Get out" so the waitress can go home. Obviously from the reviews, other people have enjoyed their experience here, but from my perspective, allowing employees to give poor service under any circumstances says the establishment has poor management. The waitress could have handed the service off to another waiter/ess and been on her way instead of providing such a crappy experience to us.

  • Steffany C.

It isn't a chain, which is a positive. The menu was unique, and the sweet potato chips with horseradish dip was awesome. Our entrees had tasty sides, but we were given chicken thighs instead of breasts so that sort of thew us off. The service was good, she kind of rushed us out of there. I'll go back if I must eat in Columbia again.

Still terrific! Went back recently before an MU basketball game and was able to enjoy reasonably priced and delicious, drinks and food. We always get a small order of the nachos because they are THAT good. Their beers on tap are always interesting and good and their wine is not bad, either. I'm sure we will be back soon.

The nacho were amazing as promised by fellow yelpers. Service wasn't friendly but fast and good. Chill sports bar atmosphere, which was a plus. Mostly I was impressed with the manager who was very accommodating and flexible for a large party.

Bland 'New Americana'. Behind the pretense, the food/service is inferior to a Ruby Tuesday (and I'm NOT a fan of corporate restaurants). I lived down the street from Addison's for years and would occasionally give them a shot, but the food is consistently boring and the wait staff is nearly always rude and/or indifferent. Friday night was a new low for Addison's. The hostess (a failed sorority girl transitioning to life in the restaurant biz?) did not GREET ME (this is your job), she asked if she could 'help me' (weird). I said 'Yes, table for three please". She then wrote down table for two (nice job!). We waited for a long time, and finally found three seats at the bar so we decided to order food at the bar (this is common practice at Addison's). The bartender gave us the full dinner menu (which they were still serving) and we examined it for a few minutes. We then told him that we were ready to order... He brusquely pulled the menu's away from us and said 'we switched the late night menu now, so you'll have to pick something from these' and he handed us late night menu's, which have only a few selections (this was at about 10pm). We decided to share a burger here since we didn't have many other choices and we could see that this wasn't going well. Amazing! After ordering it, the burger came out in (no exaggeration) TWO MINUTES. A physical impossibility! I was STARVING so I didn't ask questions, even though I knew it was from another order and they were trying to sell their trash. The burger was not medium well as ordered (of course it wasn't!); and was, in fact, severely overcooked (likely due to reheating via microwave). I had already eaten too much of it to send it back, so I cut my losses. We didn't receive forks or napkins, we didn't get waters (the bartender was visibly pissed when I asked for some), and they didn't offer us more beer when our glasses were sitting empty on the bar. We are very low maintenance and weren't rude to anyone in any way. Just a very, very bad experience from a place that I knew sucked, but wanted to give another chance after a 2 year hiatus. This experience was the worst in the last 12 years. In my opinion, this place is not worthwhile.

I've gone here a few times and have enjoyed everything I've tried. The chicken Nachos Bianco is my absolute favorite thing on the menu. It's a big plate of pasta chips, smothered in cheese, green onions, Kalamata olives, banana peppers, and tomatoes. Seriously good. I also love their Mediterranean salad, which has this fantastic balsamic vinegar reduction drizzled on it. The only reason I rate it one star lower than five is that sometimes the portion size can be inconsistent - for example sometimes the nachos are generous and sometimes it looks like they are running out of food so they gently sprinkle on the toppings.

By far, one of my favorite places to eat in town. The Thai Black Bean roll up is one of my most loved vegan dishes. If you like sweet martinis, try a snowconetini. It's yummy! Great atmosphere for girls night, date night, get togethers. Wide variety of food to please every foodie.

I've probably been about a half dozen times, over the past year. Great place! I've taken my boss, and clients, and friends ... on different occassions. Everytime, I am complimented. This is becoming my 'go to' choice when needing to meet people in Columbia. Simple, small-ish menu. Bar seems to be adequate. Food is good. Environment is comfortable. Service staff are pleasant, though a bit inexperienced or insecure in some cases - maybe not polished; but, hasn't been a problem.

had been there for lunch once and liked the ambience and the sandwich so decided to try for dinner. Disappointed. The sweet potato chips were very good, however the ribs were undercooked and didnt seem had been marinated for long. The mojito fries were very greasy and the margarita pizza ordinary. Our waitress was nice and efficient and the service was good. Dont think will go back for dinner again.

Good food...jalapeño pork chops are my favorite. On the other hand their hostess staff and manner in which they deal with seating parties needs some major improvement. We had a party of 6 told we had a 45 minute wait. No big deal there...problem is there is an empty booth that can easily seat 6, with 2 parties of 6 ahead of our group I ask the hostess why one of those parties hasn't been seated there when she had just told me that the next group of 6 was all present and ready to be seated. The hostess proceeds to tell me they are holding it for that party, I just mentioned. What part of there's a table and party ready means don't seat that party? Hostess "we didn't want to seat the party of 6 ahead of the party of 4 in front of them in line". Ok well seat the party of 4 then!!!! Or just make everyone wait for no reason...or do the sensible thing and if you aren't going to let the party of 4 sit in that space go ahead and seat the party of 6 and let the party of 4 wait like you were going to make them wait anyways. Common sense goes a long way...the quicker you seat a party the quicker they can eat and make room for the next party in line. Properly trained or for that matter educated can make the difference in a review being 5 stars or 1. Thus the 1 star review!!! Honestly I would have scored it lower if I could have just because of the hostess staff experience.

I stopped by Addison's this past weekend and wasn't overly impressed. I did enjoy the Southern Gentleman martini I had, though. That might have been the best part of my evening. I was happy to see that there were more than a few vegetarian options on the menu. Since all of the reviews I'd read raved about the Nachos Bianco, I decided to try them. In my opinion, they weren't all that good. But maybe that was because a big hunk of wantons was burned? Dunno. It was heavy and greasy and not all that flavorful. For my meal I got the Thai peanut wrap with a side of garlic fries. The fries were much better than the wrap. I mean, it was ok...but there was too much sauce for my liking and it just didn't taste all that great. I'm not from the area, but while in town, I found other restaurants that were better than Addison's. But I suppose it's a good place to grab a drink or two.

Nachos Bianca is the best thing on the menu. A unique entree that is delicious. The diablo pasta is also good if you like spicy food. The brownie is a rich dessert. Good beer options.

A little more upscale than your average downtown college town eatery. Cool art instead of big screen TVs everywhere. Cloth napkins and well made entrees at bar & grill prices.

My husband and I stopped by for an early dinner. We were not disappointed! I like how relaxed the atmosphere is, and how nice the decor is. The fun time, etc. burger (long name!) was really good. The Thai chicken salad was excellent, and the peanut sauce was delicious. I'll definitely be back.

This place gets PACKED! I guess if it wasn't so small, then it wouldn't feel like the whole town was there. It was a pretty casual place, but I could see the upper-upper-middle class hanging out here. ;-) The portions are pretty humoungous. Be ready to E-A-T. Don't even worry about an appetizer. There's no point, because you won't finish it, much less your meal. The food was good, which was the general consensus amoungst my table. My aunt got the nachos, which were the size of her. Apparently, the chips are like. . . flour tortillas or some craziness like that. Very good. The restaurant was LOUD. The server was not at her best. The temperatue was not comfortable. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place, especially because it's so packed. If you are driving by and hungry, the food is pretty good.

I was hoping Addison's would be as good as the hype. Maybe if you are a college student going to happy hour... The food was ok at best. The service was very slow. I still have money left on a gift card that was given to me, so I will give it another chance.

I might have thought this place was A-OK were it not for the four times in one seating that our waitress tried to take away dishes that we were not done with. And the place wasn't even busy. Not once did she ask something to the effect of, "Are you finished with that?" The mojito fries are a good idea, but they simply overdo it so that you're sick of it after a few of them. Let us taste at least some of the potato! The ribs were meaty, but not succulent. Good thing the BBQ sauce was decent. I do like the artwork on the walls.

Addison's is a fine eating establishment. After dining and drinking a few times here, I like the place. The menu sports a good variety of eats, and the alcoholic fare is varied as well. I appreciate that they carry a lot of my favorites on tap as well as in bottled form. Quality is top notch, wait staff courteous, and the aesthetics are pleasing.

The food is good and used to go here often. Last night was my 22nd birthday and me and 3 girlfriends went for dinner, we were put on a wait list and my friend saw that under the description the hostess had written "hoochie girls" . We were wearing normal clothes (leggings, boots, and I had on a dress for my bday) we were very nice and polite to her I have no idea why a worker would be so nasty towards a customer. We told the manager and got a free appetizer but I don't care, me or mY family will never be returning . So rude... UPDATE: I changed my rating from a 1 to a 3 bc the owner personally contacted me and apologized which means a lot. The hostess was a B but I will try it again possibly

As a Mizzou Alumni, I have eaten at Addison's more times than I can even begin to estimate. It's that good. Addison's is just the perfect place for almost every occasion: date night, lunch with your parents, late night happy hour, girls night out, etc. Having been here so many times, I can also say I've had almost everything on the menu. Here are a few of my favorites: - Nachos Bianco. The cheese sauce must have crack in it or something. I can not come here and not get it. Sometimes I specifically come here for the nachos. They're that good. - Mediterranean Salad. The balsamic vinegar reduction they put on it adds a nice sweet touch to the salad. - Marinated Chicken Philly. I can't even describe how good this is. If you love a sandwich that comes loaded with tons of stuff, you'll like this. - Sweet Potato Chips. Yum. - Addison's also has an impressive selection of beers and wines that are priced very affordably, especially during their happy hours. Other than the food, I come to Addison's as often as I do for the atmosphere. It's always bustling. It's a fun, yet casual place to hang out. The bar is a great place to post up and the booths are great places to cozy up with a group of friends. I also love that the restaurant is decorated with art by local artists. It definitely helps give the place that local "Columbia" feel. Sure, Addison's sister restaurant Sophia's is slightly better, but it's also a fancier restaurant, so it shouldn't be directly compared. As I see it, the only disadvantage to this place is that it's ALWAYS crowded, and they do not take reservations. But as far as downtown restaurants go, this is one of the best places for a casual, yet special meal...so in my opinion, it's worth the wait.

Nothing like watching a bunch of bleached hair bimbos chomping on a piece of gum and twirling their hair. Seriously, just leave the nose pickers in the back. I could do without the booger in the half-cooked bloody burger.

A lot of the menu items combined different/unique flavors - it is nice to get something different, not just the 'usual.' Nachos Biancos were definitely tasty - lived up to their popularity for a starter. Our party enjoyed the BBQ chicken pizza, Louie's Cuban, and the French Dip Au jus are a must try! All around good experience. Great atmosphere, nicer gastro pub type space. The menu has more than what it shows online, so go check it out. It could be casual, or kind of a nice date dinner... it could go both ways. A very pleasant evening.

Still 5 stars: just writing to update that their happy hour, which used to start at 10PM, has been moved up to 9PM-close. They still offer $2.5 pints and now they specifically offer $5 Bianco Nachos! This is the perfect plate to split between two people after a night of hanging out downtown (or elsewhere).

This place is great, small prices and big portions! Definitely need to back to try more items on the menu.

A must in COMO! If you are a resident of COMO be sure to take advantage of the generous happy hour prices. Cheap beer, cheap food, and high quality! All of the appetizers are delicious and the beer is great. The nachos were always a hit amongst my friends, as was the brownie in phyllo pastry. "The Brownie" often comes up in conversations about how when we had a bad day, head to Addison's happy hour and eat it up!

I ate here on a Monday night around 8pm as part of a work dinner a vendor took me out to. Speaking for myself, I got the Addisons Burger with sweet potato chips. We both split was is known to be the famous nachos biaco. I must say these are a special kind of nachos if I have ever seen them. Its not like a traditional ballpark or movie theater style nachos, its better, I leave it at that. The burger is pretty darn good and more then generous in portion. I would have liked a different kind of bun as the one I had seemed dry and tough. The sweet potato chips might be made in house but I could not tell. They taste authentic but compared to a sweet potato fry it did not hold that pow of the real thing. Prices are well worth what you get and the atmosphere is casual/upscale making for a great after work dinner or gathering for friends after a long work day.

pros: nice waitress cons: 1.)we arrived at 1:15 pm and waited over 30 minutes for a table. even though there were like 3 tables open. 2.) so loud, playing 90s alternative hits, I couldn't think. 3.) I ordered my son's meal right when we say down and I'd say it took a good 20 min. when it finally arrived it was an "uncrustable" peanut butter and jelly sandwich that I believe comes from the freezer section at your local grocery store. 4.) the famous nachos were okay. but I can't quite understand why it took so long. drenched in a white sauce that could have been mayonnaise or Alfredo. who knows what. 5.) I got a chicken salad sandwich. which is kind of my thing at the moment. and it was pretty disgusting. should have been called "mayonnaise pile". it was like no one even tried. like it was literally, TONS of mayonnaise and like big chunks of chicken. and I got the broccoli side that was also drenched in mystery white sauce. which... now that I think of it. ... they might have been calling that sauce an asiago sauce. uhhh. 6.) it would have helped if I could have just been completely wasted.

Another surprisingly good restaurant in Columbia that completely deserves a 4.5. I went here with my hubby and a friend. We started by sharing the sweet potato chips, which is a huge and delicious appetizer. It was hard for the three of us to finish the large portion, but we did anyway. I had the mediterranean salad and was pleasantly surprised by the tasty addition of basil and artichoke hearts. But I think the best deal was my husband's ahi tuna sandwich. It's not really a sandwich, but more of a large ahi tuna steak on a piece of focaccia. It was delicious, and seemed like a lot of tuna for $8.99! We sat near the bar where there were televisions playing sports and other shows, which kept my husband distracted while my friend and I gossiped. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and the staff seemed very friendly and fairly efficient. I can see why my friend took us here.

Addison's is one of those places I've always heard about but never visited. On a whim, some friends and I decided to go there for dinner Friday night. The wait was long but definitely worth it. A friend recommended the nachos so we got some as an appetizer. The nachos are insanely good. I hear the chips are made from some type of pasta, and to me they have the consistency of eggroll skins. They are covered in a wonderful cheese concoction. I ordered the pesto tortellini. It came boiling hot and also full of cheese. The portion was giant: I usually polish off an entree (and then some) but I had to concede that there was too much pasta for me to eat. Last note: the server was very friendly and helpful.

The lemon pepper calamari appetizer was tasty, if a little salty, but the honey mustard dipping sauce didn't add anything. My shrimp diablo pasta was delicious, and remarkably spicy. My wife would have liked her Thai chicken salad if the chicken had been grilled or sauteed, but battered and fried was to heavy for her taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I always love going back to Columbia and going to old favorite restaurants. Addison's is a Columbia staple. I was in town for the Mizzou vs. ku game and we were looking for a spot to eat after the game that wasn't going to have a ridiculous wait. We were in luck! I got the super fantastic really yummy burger (or something to that effect is what the menu said) and it was all of those adjectives and more! The burger was great: covered in two types of cheese, topped with onion straws, bacon, and a spicy horseradish mayo. And it had marinated cucumbers on it as well. May not be the healthiest choice, but man it was good. This is definitely a great spot in Columbia to get a casual meal. The funny part is when I was at Mizzou, this was the fanciest place in town!! Or so I thought... Either way, it is a great place to eat.

Very good choice. I will say I am not sure why the Bianco Nachos get so much swooning....maybe it's an acquired thing. Very nice space, menu with just enough variety and eclectic touches, and generally good service. Probably one of the better choices in town. Price reasonable over all...esp. $6 martinis...wow!

Nachos Bianco. What more is there to say? Addison's is chill, friendly, affordable (for the most part) and the food and drink are damn good. I'm a fan.

Great place for happy hour (apps and drinks) or meeting with a bunch of friends. Good atmosphere and service, even with large groups... they're probably used with all the college students near by... The Snow Cone is dangerous though!... not only does it taste like a grape snow cone (with a sugar rim) but it takes a bit for you to realize all the alcohol that you just consumed... and if you're not careful you have downed a few by the time it hits you! Their main entree offerings have never really thrilled me, just seems like a local version (and slightly improved) of say an Applebees or Chili's... but there are some definite surprises and tempters on it though! I really need to get away from the Diablo Shrimp Pasta (I've been drawn to that one the last couple of times that I have been there).

Good solid food, nice sandwiches, pretty decent beer on tap, for a reasonable price. Certainly work checking out. The couple of times I've been there, the staff has been quick and attentive, the atmosphere is good (particularly if you get a booth) and a good place to go with a group.

This place is a solid 4. The restaurant is a nice environment, the wait staff is quick and nice, and the food is really good. We were looking for a place to eat on a road trip, and Yelp directed us to this place. Everyone on Yelp seems to recommend the nachos, but we didn't get them because after being on a long road trip, more asiago cheese dishes (seriously, they're everywhere) just didn't sound appetizing. So we got the lobster ravioli instead. It was pretty good ravioli, but unfortunately, there are only 5 pieces. But it is only an appetizer, after all. The tortellini pasta bake was really delicious, though. Certainly one of the best I've ever had. A really large portion, too. I wasn't able to finish it.

The food was good this time, but as usual a little understaffed. The entire bar was staffed by one blonde ponytailed cutie during dinner.

Addison's is great for the late night happy hour specials. This was a favorite of my friends and I during our Mizzou days. My reason to come is just to have a glass of wine and enjoy the David Spear paintings on the walls.

Great food, great wait staff, nice decor, warm, welcoming place. However, the guy who has answered the phone on 2 occasions I've called for take-out, wasn't warm, welcoming, or pleasant either time. He acted put off that he must take my order both times. Other than that, I like it.

I think this is a great place for a first date. Phenomenal wall art. Nachos and the sweet potato chips are delicious. Service is pretty good but not spectacular. Prices are reasonable compared to the amount you get.

Two things I love about this place is the the artwork and mojito fries. I've always had great service and enjoy coming just to look around at the artwork. The food is pretty good all around but besides the fries there isn't much that I couldn't live without.

Great spot for a casual date or dinner with friends. The food is unique and always delicious (the Nachos Bianco are a-ma-zing!). Drinks and food are very reasonably priced. Quick, friendly service, with a laid-back atmosphere.

Dishing out upscale American cuisine, this is one of Columbia's best restaurants. I leave that up to you to decide if that actually means something or not. Try the red, white, and green (I think it's called that?) - flatbread, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, topped with olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Could be a main course. I had the salmon with chipotle/corn salsa the first time I came here, and while the corn salsa on top of the fish was pleasantly spicy, the salmon itself lacked flavor. Do not order ocean-caught fish in a landlocked state.

Awesome bartenders and a great beer selection. The late night happy hour is great, just wish they had a real happy hour too. The Nachos Bianco are awesome. The pastas as great, even if they are too cheesy. Great spot to people watch too.

I often forget about Addison's because I'm more focused on Flat Branch, but everything that I've had here has been good. They have excellent cheese fries. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use -- it might be a mix with some milder white cheeses (it comes so creamy, gooey, and delicious that I want to lick the plate!). They also have a really tasty deconstructed crab rangoon appetizer. Their burgers are superb, too (very juicy and actually came as ordered -- "medium"). The last time we were there, my husband and I shared the special, which was a pork chop encrusted with jalapeno and cheese. Delicious!

Owned by the same people as Sophia's, but with a slightly different menu, I believe. This place has great food and is good for large-ish groups (think 10 or 12, but not 30). I've often gone there after shows, around 10 or later, and the service is still good. Also, the art on the walls is all done by the same (local?) guy, and it's interesting enough to keep anyone's attention long enough to get a conversation going. All tangled legs and people charging all over the place, with very distinct ankle bones.

I like this place because of how versatile it is. The menu covers the picky eater and the more refined and the atmosphere could be described as classic, elegant and no-nonsense all at once.

I would do almost anything for a plate of Nachos Bianco right now. They are seriously the best nachos I have ever eaten and I crave them often. Thick, rich asiago cheese sauce with fried wonton chips, kalamata olives, your choice of meat, tomatoes, and green onions. (Great, now I'm literally drooling all over my desk.) I always liked going to Addison's when I got off of work waiting tables. They definitely cater to the service crowd late night.....good specials, lots of smoking (after 10), and chill atmosphere.

Addison's is a consistent place for lunch and dinner. The food is always fresh and unique to this establishment. What also makes this a very solid 4 rating is that the service is the best in Columbia! A number of restaurants in Columbia are hiring sub par employees that are inconsiderate and rude to patrons. Not so at Addison's! I now come here much more often based solely on friendly wait staff and hostesses. Sophia's is Addison's sister restaurant in south Columbia and is a bit more formal than Addison's. 2 Great finds in Columbia!

One of my fiancee's favorite restaurants and one that I enjoy as well. A great place to take the parents or a nice evening that is not too fancy. The food and service are good with reasonable prices. Hope you also enjoy it!

Ah, my favorite place to eat in Como. I ate here frequently when I went to Mizzou and was never disappointed. The food is great, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is excellent for a date or to take your family. One of the few places I miss in that area.

Addison's was already great but they recently added a few new items to their menu. They've added a pulled pork sandwich which just might be the best in the city. Definitely check it out.
