hey folks, just recently had a great time at the "Original Pancake House", great atmosphere, fun, friendly services. The food was very good, filled me up plenty. I would recommend it again and again. Great place for friends and family to hang out, while you enjoy a nice meal.

The service is always great and they have the best breakfast in the area. This is definitely my favorite place to eat breakfast.

Even though this is a chain restaurant and they only serve breakfast (till 2pm) or until everyone gets seated, they do it very very well. Best of all you can use the NOWAIT app on your iPhone device (maybe on Android too??) because they don't take reservations and it is not uncommon to wait at least an hour or more, especially on the weekend's. Everything is delicious here...from pancakes to their omelets. It is very easy to split a meal here and they do not charge any extra for that service. They also have fresh juice that is squeezed in house and good coffee ( I am told by my wife and friends). The staff and management are all top notch, well trained and very friendly and accommodating. Great place to take friends and family. And you have got to try their Apple Pancake or their Dutch Baby....if you love apples and/ or lemon...you are going to love these selections. We usually order one at the very end of our visit and share one with everyone at the table as dessert. Just like anything really really good, you shouldn't have it every day; but for a treat...oh, my.

I'd say it's a place of endearingly chaotic ease. It's a spacious yet homey dining area populated by families and parties of friends at weekends, people willing to queue for the comfort food. Daily breakfast menu includes a pancake section, with fillings such as the signature cinnamon apple, chocolate chips and berries and fruits. Maple syrup is usually supplementary. The seasonal peach blueberry pancake was exemplary, the layer of aromatic vanilla whipped cream generous but thin enough for the pancake's subtle flavor to shine through. Pancakes are also served in the omelette-pancake combinations, wherein the omelette folds cheese and others ingredients of your choice. Prices are reasonable given the setting, the service quality and the assuredness of the menu. The menu runs from breakfast to brunch, but I hope they can extend hours so afternoon tea could be taken in.

Nice place, clean with a friendly staff. I know understand why this place is so packed, it's not very big inside. But I guess that's what you get for being the greatest breakfast place I the valley. I ordered to sourdough pancakes, hash browns, and corned beef hash, with an OJ. I love the fact that everything here is made from scratch with love. The OJ is a little sweet for me, but that's just my preference. On to the main event. The hash browns were good, and tried a new style of pancakes, sourdough cakes, and they're good, if you like a sourdough yeasty taste. The corned beef hash was okay, I do like how they grind the meat tho. Overall good experience, I'll have to try all the other unique menu items next time I come in.

Absolutely love the food there never a bad meal!!! The thickest and most delicious bacon out there. Love the staff!!! Red and Lana are amazing!!! They always take great care of us and remember even the smallest details from our previous orders! The food quality is always good and consistant. We're scared to go anywhere else because every time we try a different place it never compares to taste or quality! Our go to meal is "The Works" with French toast as the side! Give it a try and you'll love it. -Danielle and Dustin

This is a great place for the better version of the American breakfast! The wait here is usually pretty long but it's worth it. I get the bacon and eggs almost every time I come and I ask for the extra crispy bacon and instead of pancakes (yes I know hard to believe I don't get pancakes at a pancake house) I get wheat toast. This is one of the few places I will drink orange juice, fresh squeezed and so refreshing. My mom got the eggs Benedict and loves it, my dad got the sausage omelette with banana pancakes and said it was to die for. Very filling and portions are large, so go hungry! Grab a seat at the bar if you can in order to avoid the long wait, it's seat yourself!

I've been coming here for breakfast now for years. Love sitting at the breakfast bar to watch all the action or at at booth table to just relax and dive into THE BEST breakfast I have had anywhere. I travel ALOT and have eaten at some of our country's best but my favorite breakfast is always right here in my own backyard! My favorite are the omelets. They're slow baked and different. They taste like heaven. Need I say more? No. Get there early on the weekends to avoid the wait but if you do have wait your turn, consider yourself lucky. It's always worth the wait. Lol I forgot to say that the pancakes, fresh squeezed OJ, biscuits and gravy and amazingly delicious fresh fruit round out the fare! Darn it! I'm hungry for my favorite breakfast. See you there soon I hope.

I usually get the excellent buttermilk pancakes, but this time tried the chocolate chip pancake (with chocolate sauce topping) and it may be even better. Also tried the golden brown waffle and it was great as well, with a dusting of powdered sugar, and butter/maple syrup on the side to add as you please. Had a medium orange juice ($3.99) and it was very fresh but a little too sweet, hope they're not adding sugar to it! I should have added an ice cube or two perhaps. The only real negative was that we came here on a busy morning and had to wait over an hour to be seated, but at least they have an app you can use on smartphones to check how many groups are ahead of you in the queue. (By the time we downloaded and installed the app, we still had 36 parties ahead of us!)

I am not a big pancake fan however their pancakes were amazing. It just melted inside the mouth. I had their weekend special Mediterranean breakfast, which was really delicious. My wife had the garden mix eggs Benedict and she also loved her meal. For my three years old little one we ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with a choice of hash brown or sweet potato chips. We ordered the sweet potato chips and they served us a bag of lays potato chips. That's the only thing we didn't like about the restaurant. No one would expect a bag of chips in a restaurant with any meal. Other than that thee food was great and little expensive...

Always good. Always busy. The NoWait app makes visits easier. Otherwise the wait for a table on a Sunday morning can be over an hour. With the app our table was ready just as we got here. I recommend the strange but wonderful omelets. The Dutch Baby is a good choice too.

I went here a tad ago with a friend and had a good experience. The atmosphere once you come in feels like you've stepped into the past in an old wooden cabin--a large wooden cabin, but a wooden cabin nonetheless--with a fireplace and everything! The employees are nice and once you get seated will bring you a beverage (unfortunately for me and great news for my friend, Pepsi products). The menu is of course loaded with a variety of pancakes, from your standard fare to more exotic items such as what I enjoyed on my latest visit, an apple pancake. Basically tasting a bit like an inside-out apple pie, this item was extremely filling and I had to take some home to eat the next day for breakfast, with them helpfully providing a container for the pancake which I could place in an oven to heat it up when I ate it again. The wait time for the food wasn't too bad, although it felt like it took a tad longer than I would have expected considering the place was mostly empty (perhaps my pancake took awhile to prepare). Also, the price wasn't as good as one of my favorite joints--Uncle Bills--but was mostly reasonable. I would say if you happen to be up by The Original Pancake House--perhaps shopping at one of the nearby Outlet Malls--then you ought to give it a visit. It was tasty, the place felt cozy, and I had a pretty good time.

Excellent food as always. Went around lunchtime on a weekday and no wait! I like the eggs and sausage patties and it did not disappoint. Very tasty. I had scrambled eggs recently elsewhere and they were really good here! Upgraded the hot cakes I think only for a dollar and pumpkin pancakes!!! These are my very favorite pancakes, nice pumpkin and cinnamon flavor. Also very fluffy and light. Had to order the hash brown side. It's one of my favorite items here. It was crispy but not dry. So good. The blueberry waffle was a hit but I wish they had more blueberries and blueberry compote. Overall everything was very delicious.

I'm new to The Original Pancake House brand and didn't even realize it was a nationwide franchise until recently. After a very average experience at the Ladue location, I had the opportunity to try the Chesterfield location where I had an outstanding breakfast. Everything was spot on. This place can get packed with long waits, so I highly recommend downloading an app called NoWait. This app allows you to put your name on the wait list before you get there, and texts you when your table is ready. Within 2 minutes of walking in, we were seated. I ordered the eggs benedict with hash browns and a glass of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. It was all delicious. I also sampled a slice of the thick cut bacon and it was also excellent. I usually prefer thin and crispy bacon, but OPH's bacon won me over. The service was also 5 stars with friendly servers ensuring that we had everything that we needed. I'll be back!

Everything perfect - service, atmosphere, food and value. Worth a visit for the orange juice alone. Great variety on the menu. I had an omelette with blueberry pancakes - excellent. A friend had the granola with fruit that looked awesome. I look forward to the next visit.

The Chesterfield location is no where near the quality of the Ladue location. I've eaten at the Ladue TOPH numerous times and have been impressed each time. My first visit here was, just OK and I'll tell you why. First off the service was on the level of late night Denny's or Uncle Bill's and we dining at 8:30AM. It was so unfriendly and lackadaisical. The servers at Ladue are so much friendlier and attentive to the diners. They just create a warmer, cozier and welcoming experience. I ordered one of my favorites on the Blackboard Specials, the Egg White, Spinach and Turkey Sausage Omelette. For my cheese I choose Feta, which is a perfect accompaniment to spinach. It was fluffy, but lacked the flavor and amount of ingredients that the Ladue location always has. I love the way TOPH does Hash Browns and wanted a side along with my omelette. The omelette normally comes with a side of three buttermilk pancakes which are awesome. When I told our server I wanted a side of Hash Browns, she asked if I wanted to substitute the HB's for the BP's. I said, yes that would be lovely. When I got the bill, I was charged $1.75 for the substitution. I understand that if a customer ask for a substitution, there needs to be an up charge. In this case, the server suggested it and did not tell me there would an additional charge. That is poor customer service, IMHO. Norma my dining friend enjoyed a Bacon Works. It is always a winner. A hearty breakfast of two eggs, 2 bacon and a side of 2 pieces of French Toast. I'm still a fan of TOPH, but I will keep my visits to the Ladue location only.

Not sure there was anything not to like about this place and the food. Between 6 of us we had pancakes, lemon berry French toast (excellent), a couple of omelets, fresh squeezed orange juice AND fresh squeezed grapefruit juice (a rare thing), scratch hashbrowns with Swiss cheese (very, very good), a strawberry crepe thing and coffee. They handled the wait time very well and the waitress was right on top of everything with good timing of food and drinks. Not sure why I have waited this long to go back. The main negative (which is not much of one) is that I was a bit surprised they let the front door windows get completely covered with fingerprints. They might want to pay attention to that and a bit in the bathrooms. Can't use a busy time as an excuse. Kind of a put off ... but we will go back.

The food is good but not being seated because a couple of people in the party aren't at the restaurant makes it a drag. I mean, what's up with that when you're getting breakfast food?

I was super excited to eat here, have driven by dozens of times, and finally went today! Sadly, my experience was uber disappointing. The Dutch Baby was good, but when I asked if the corned beef hash had a lot of onions, I was told no. Then when I got it, it was loaded with them! The waitress rarely came near us, but noticed I hadn't eaten the hash at the end of the meal. I let her know it was because of the onions, she simply stacked it up & took it away. She knew I'd asked about that too! I paid nearly $7 for one bite! What happened to making sure the customer is happy? It looked like there was a lot of substitute choices that would have been easy to get me, which would show they wanted my business, but NOTHING . So sad that a place I've looked so forward to, doesn't care if I leave happy.

I do not understand the 5 star reviews. I rate the food quality just above IHOP. The strawberry syurp and fresh strawberries were the highlight of the meal. The french toast though was bland and dry. Why do all restaurants bring me fried eggs when I ask for scrambled....there is a difference. Overall, I'd choose this place over IHOP or waffle house but I wouldn't go out of my to eat here. Although I'd like to try one more time just because the chocolate strawberry crepe sounds delicious.

This place was a treat, but it gets another pros/cons list: Pros 1. Great taste and selection. 2. Food came out fast...but it should...it's pancakes. 3. Their omelettes are wonderful. Cons 1. The price you pay is exorbitant compared to the amount of food you get. 2. The price of fresh squeezed anything is ridiculous. For the price of one glass I can buy over a gallon of high quality OJ at any grocer. 3. It's just pancake dough with a small amount of topping...why is it so expensive?! I will probably never go back, unless I feel the need for a huge meat filled omelette. I'm keeping it three stars only because of the eggy delights.

Have been going here since they converted it from the old Smokey Bones restaurant. Terrific place for breakfast. That is their specialty and they consistently do it well. My absolute favorite on the menu is the 49er pancakes and second favorite are their omelets. I like to order the vegetarian omelet and add the appropriate carnivore additions to make it outstanding. They have great fresh squeezed orange juice and keep things moving despite an almost constant line of people waiting for a table.

The hot cocoa is incredible and the Orange juice is divine. We used the no wait app and we signed in with a 75 minute wait then left our house when there were 12 people in front of us. We walked in and was seated immediately. The French toast with strawberries and real whip cream was outstanding. We really enjoy going there but the wait was just too long. With the no wait we will now be coming more often!

First time here and won't be the last. I had bacon and eggs with strawberry pancakes w/ strawberry compote. If you've never been, prepare to spend 15 minutes reading through the enormous menu. Everything sounded great, so it was a difficult decision. It IS on the high end of breakfast food pricing, but is very good.

  • Jennifer M.

Not a bad place, but very expensive and prob not worth the money.. I had the German(Dutch pancake), side of sausage(2 patties), and a large orange juice and it was close to 24.00.. Way too expensive for my taste.. My pancake was the best thing, the sausage was dry and not that great.. My other guests thought their food was 2/5 stars.. 70.00 for breakfast isn't cheap for 3 people.. I prob won't be back..

This place tastes like my childhood!!! Glad to be able to share the enjoyment of an amazing breakfast tradition with my kids... Absolutely fantastic menu items you don't find elsewhere. Be sure to try the Dutch Baby and also the apple pancake. Chocolate chip pancakes are a favorite with kids of all ages. Forget the I-Slop across the street - this is where you need to be!

This is my standard for breakfast. These guys have got breakfast figured out. This location on the weekends is always crowded and there always seems to be a wait. During the week, it's fine. Highly recommend the pumpkin pancakes in the fall. Taste like pumpkin pie. Coffee is good. Staff is great and friendly.

Open from 7 until , about 2 or 2:30pm and I think just from Tue-Sun, this is a pretty decent breakfast location. Good pancakes and a ton of pancake/waffle choices to have with or without eggs or meat. The omelettes are baked and tasty and HUGE. I can never finish one. Plus they come with a short stack of 3 buttermilk pancakes. I had the cheese omelette with American cheese, and it was still huge. The pancakes are super tasty as well, but I've only had the short stack buttermilk ones. I'm curious to try the pecan pancakes or waffles one of these times.

The best place in town for pancakes. They have a great selection and the food is always delicious. The pecan pancakes are a must have. You can also call ahead to reduce your wait.

Expect the wait to be more than 30 mins on sundays, but any day of the week, its definetly worth it! I am not a big pancake fan, but the pancakes at this place are delicious. I reccomend to try the oven baked omelettes, which are served in a generous portions that can possibly feed two. The staff are friendly and knowledgeble. The prices are average for the area.

Little bit of a wait. Excellent service. Great menu of breakfast food. The food was excellent. Best pancakes I've ever eaten. The omelot was huge and delicious. A bit pricey for breakfast food, but I can't wait to go back.

My friend and I attempted to try this breakfast joint located in the Valley. We had the bravery of trying it during memorial weekend. This place was packed like sardines.Kids were absolutely everywhere. They had plenty of activities for kids, such as Etch A Sketches, and puzzles. Great! But what about stuff for the adults to do? Isn't there a TV in the vestibule, waiting area? Now that I think of it, it took a long while for my cell phone to connect to the free wi-fi. We were able to get a text message from the staff when a table was available so we ended up sitting in a very cramped waiting area to wait for a table. 30-35 minutes later we received a text message that our table was ready. So we went to find a server or a host/hostess and nobody was to be found. Maybe 2-3 minutes later we found a short skinny guy named Pete who told us that there was a delay in clearing off the table. Ok, that's fine, its Memorial day weekend, but still a bit perturbed on the lack of organization here. The menu had plenty of items, but I was a bit intrigued on the dutch baby pancake. $10 for sweet buttery goodness, but alas its only $10 for just the pancake by itself. Oh yeah, if you wanted to get any sides, that was $4 to $5 extra on your bill. I know plenty of establishments that do not have such a practice. Even IHOP has fairly decent sized portion pancakes and they don't charge extra for side orders. Pretty much, this was part of the entree order. I ended up choosing a grilled cheese sandwich, with a fruit side from the kids menu. The grilled cheese was nothing to get excited about. The bread was nicely buttered. However, the cheese was just plain american cheese. I honestly could have made a better grilled cheese sandwich from home using better ingredients for much cheaper. My friend ordered an omelette that was pretty huge that came with pretty minuscule pancakes on the side. However for a $5 kids meal, I expected a lot better. My recommendation? Go to Gingham's in St. Charles. They have huge portions at reasonable prices.

Went there last Saturday around 11:30 a.m. and will NEVER go back. This is about the third time we've been unhappy, so strike three, they're out! Ordered the Irish omelet. They've changed the way they make it -- now the corned beef is mixed in with the eggs and not in the center of the omelet with the cheese. The omelet was not cooked on one side and when I cut into it, raw egg oozed out. I put the plate aside and waited to see our server. FINALLY she came to our table, plopped down a couple glasses of water, and left without asking what was wrong. She never did show up again except to plop the folder down with the bill in it. I paid the bill, without a tip of course, and we left. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. It's quite obvious that if you don't go there every week, you're not part of the "club" and you are not entitled to good service -- OR COOKED FOOD.

Amazing!!!!! This place is soo delicious!!!! We ordered the dutch treat which is a dutch baby with sliced strawberries and bananas and the log cabin which comes with 3 pancakes, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links, hash browns and 2 eggs. The food here was soooo good. I can't wait to return!!! Also don't forget to order the hot chocolate, it's soo delicious and comes with fresh whipped cream. I prefer the dutch baby over the taste of the buttermilk pancakes.

There comes a time in your life when you've settled down enough (after years of experimentation) to definitely say what it is you like and don't like. Favorite meal? Breakfast. Best place to get that meal? The Original Pancake House. You won't find a consistently higher quality experience for breakfast food anywhere else in the world. And I've looked. As of July 2014 I have been here 104 times (with the checkins to prove it) and I have yet to be disappointed even once. This location in particular stands out to me as a shining example of a flagship restaurant. It's meticulously clean, abundantly comfortable, and remarkably efficient in promptness and accuracy. The staff couldn't be friendlier, and the owner is often mingling with his customers. All the food is made from the best ingredients available and served in large portions (with a price to match). The juice is squeezed fresh in full view on the counter as if intended to remove all doubt of its authenticity. The only time I'm ever disappointed here is after a crazy weekend I need a good start on Monday, and arrive often forgetting it's the one day they're closed.

OMG! To die for breakfast! I don't think there is any way you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend the savory crepes- melt in your mouth with the perfect combo of sweet, salt and IDK what but breakfast awesomeness. The hash browns with cheese are fresh and you can tell the food is made with care and love. Will definitely be back! Service was impeccable.

This restaurant is very pretty. Love the décor for sure. Service was outstanding - for this reason alone, we may return during a future trip to St. Louis. As far as the food is concerned, it was ok. Not bad, but not anything that would make it worth the prices they charge. Maybe it's because I make pretty good pancakes (and breakfast in general) at home (not to toot my own horn). I have this thing about over-paying for something I can make better... However, like I said, it wasn't bad - just kind of middle of the road - with high prices. I can't emphasize how great the service was - our waiter was awesome.

Came here at the kid's request with the husband. She had bacon pancakes and he had swedish pancakes. She also insisted on a side order of sausage links because they are "so yummy." Didn't get a bite of her food, lest I lose a finger. His was good but not really my style. I wasn't really hungry and feeling a little fluffier than I should be so I opted for oatmeal with a side of berries. It was not instant, and well-prepared. On a side note, the sweet little old lady at a nearby table ate an omelet the size of a pie!

    (4)

Every time I go here, I come out fully satisfied. Great staff, very accommodating. The omlet size is humongous. My personal favorite is their chocolate chip pancake and bacon.

Yum Yum Yum!! I have eaten at the Original Pancake House in Ladue and Chesterfield and both meals were outstanding! Both times I have been there I ordered an omelet so there is a lot I haven't tried but the omelets are so good, its hard to try something new. Their portions are pretty big and the bacon is thick cut and amazing. If you ever get a chance to go the Original Pancake House, be sure and try the apple pancake. Its more like and apple pie so you may want to share with someone but its soooooo good. I only have two complaints about The Original Pancake House. They close at 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Every time I drive through the valley in the evenings I wish I could have dinner there but I can't. Also, because they close early, they are always packed! If you do go for breakfast during the weekend, expect at least a 30 minute wait. The staff is friendly and once seated, you won't wait long for food. Give them a try!

Came here with the hubby and 2 cousins on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Given that we arrived close to noon, we had to wait close to 30 minutes for a table (as expected). The cool thing is they will text you when your table is ready, so I guess if you had a long wait, you could always head over to the gazillion stores in the same strip mall area to kill time. Food: 1) Apple Pancake - hubby loved it, but it was HUGE. It looked like an upside down pineapple cake (except with apples, of course) and was probably about the same size. 2) Dutch Baby - my cousin ordered this and we all had a taste since most of us didn't know what it was. I thought it was really good - not as dense as a pancake, and it was delicious with butter and powder sugar. 3) Belgian Waffle - my other cousin ordered this and I think she enjoyed it. 4) Hash brown & Eggs (comes with pancakes) - good...nothing over the top, but that's how I like my breakfast food. The coffee was disappointing for the others (I don't drink coffee), but my cousin said the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice was really good. This is a great place for breakfast, given the huge variety of options. There literally is something for everyone...I've never seen so many pancake options before!

I really wanted to try this restaurant and I don't mind waiting but you should hire competent staff. When someone asks how long the wait it they should be able to tell time. We were told the wait time was " 1 hour and 75 minutes".

  • Janya B.

Waiting 45 to get our table then another 15 for somebody to take our order then another 20 for our food. Food was ok . Overpriced orange juice was good but not worth 4 00 for med . Cup . Paying $40 for breakfast and ok food not worth to me . Ant everything took forever !!! I don't think I will go back anytime soon .

OPH has been one of our favorites for a long time- and I just love this gem! We have been here a few times over the past couple years, and their breakfast is above par.. I know some people think this place is a little pricey, but its soooo delicious!! I ordered the pigs in a blanket with a side of FRESH SQUEEZED orange juice--oh man, so good! Their sausage links (and patties) are a house recipe, and my meal was so sweet, and savory. My better half ordered the Cowboy Skillet off the special menu and he loved it. It was indeed soo good, Ive never had anything bad here- I love their hashbrowns too, and purt much everything..! Our waitress also brought out a complimentary pumpkin panacake... wooo! tasted just like a slice of pumpkin pie!!!! I loved it! I know this is a chain, but i dont care--- i do love it, and whenever we are in the area, or headed to the wineries ,we try and stop by. Also, the wait can get kind of long, so make sure to get there early, or get there later- not at peak breaktfast time.

Love the sourdough pancakes...best I've ever had. Expect to wait on weekends but we'll worth the hour wait.

  • Robert R.

The food is always incredible, perfectly cooked every time, and I just had a great experience with the service: they had some sort of technical problem that resulted in my order never making it to the cooks. We ended up waiting for half an hour, at which point both our server and the manager sat down with us, and told us, and said that since we waited so long, it was on the house. They were so nice!

    (5)

We went here over the weekend and when I saw the sourdough pancakes, I knew that's what I had to have. My wife and daughter shared an order of eggs, bacon and pancakes and a side of corned beef hash. Their order was done perfectly - unfortunately I could not say the same for my pancakes. All three pancakes were undercooked with raw dough still in the liquid state in the middle. I pointed it out to the waitress, and they made me a new stack, but by the time I got my replacement pancakes, my wife and daughter were done eating. They fresh squeeze their orange juice here and it was great. The prices here are high, too - I expect a lot more quality...if I am dropping $45 with tip for a BREAKFAST for three - it better be perfect.

AMAAAAAAZING!!!! You will leave hurting and happy at the same time. The best breakfast food EVER!!! Cute restaurant, waitress was great and apparently she felt our food took too long so had her mgr bring out a free huge breakfast dessert!!! We were just visiting and this could make me move there! Portions are huge too so you might wanna scale down and share a few things we had so much food leftover.

How can one pancake house be so much better than the rest? It is only pancakes and eggs, and some sides. Well how can Jack Kanes Kris restaurant be better than McDonald's! It is all about how they put their breakfast and lunch together and make special, special treats that are so much better than anyone else. I love the omlettes. I don't know if they are broiled or baked, I have tried to replicate their fluffy mile high eggs, and just cannot do it. They have the secret. Two downsides to this my favorite breakfast and lunch place. #1 They close at 2 P.M. Like Yogi Berra said, no one goes there because it is too crowded. Stay open for dinner, you have a great restaurant and breakfast for dinner is super!. #2. Some of their items are a tad pricy. It is hard to complain when the service and the food is so good though. Gotta Love it.

Long wait, high prices, AMAZING food! Worth the wait and the price. The eggs Benedict were perfect. The pumpkin pancakes were divine!

Best pancakes ever!!!! 5 stars for food and service. 4 1/2 for cost, a little pricier for your average breakfast but it was well worth it.

Horrible attitude from the owner of all people. If he can't handle customer service under pressure, then he is in the wrong business. Michelle V is one the best servers I've ever had anywhere. I wouldn't recommend going here ever, but if you do, request Michelle V.

My family and I meet here every Saturday. We love it. The food is always great and the staff are friendly. Fresh Squeezed OJ, delicious bacon, eggs, oatmeal, English muffins, pancakes, etc. A nice tip: At 1:00 or later there is usually little to no wait.

Wanted to try this place out since the menu intrigued me and we were driving through on our way to Florida during breakfast hours. The location was convenient and the outside and inside were cute since it was fashioned like a log cabin. The wait was over 45 minutes which was to be expected. I usually think this is too long of a wait for anything but I was hoping the food would make up for it. They had free coffee in the lobby which was nice and they would "text" you when your table was ready. After our long wait we finally got our table and surveyed the menu, I ordered an apple crepe which was good but the filling's flavor was tiring after a few bites and the orange juice though fresh was not enough to make a 45 minute worth while. I can think of several other places that has food on par with this restaurant with more reasonable prices and shorter wait.

I love this restaurant. My favorites are the garden benedict and the crepes. I do find the hash to be on the "sour side" but maybe that varies? It is very busy on Sunday. Note the hours, which are Tues-Sunday 7am-2:30pm. They are not open on Monday's.

first i want to start off with good things.. i LOVE eating here. great food, bacon, pancakes, you name it. my bf and i have come here numerous times at all different hours and people are nice, they get you in, and leave you the bill once you're served to help get you out (but are never rushed). however, I have celiac. a big plus for us going here is that they offer gluten free food. like i said before, I've eaten here plenty of times and not once have i had an issue except this last time. I ordered GF chic chip pancakes and bacon. definitely have eaten this before. but they accidentally did not give me the gluten free pancakes, and it did not come on a red plate, which later i was informed that its one of their "flags." i was about halfway through before i felt super full and stopped, boxing the rest to take home. never thought twice about them being regular. we leave, end of visit. later that day i was having an extreme reaction and eventually got very ill, just as if i had consumed gluten and a lot of it. but still, i did not think it was from earlier bc I've never had a reaction from here before and it was much later in the day when i got sick. but still, it was the only thing i had eaten and i was defiantly reacting. now i know that sometimes mistakes get made and no restaurant is 100%. but the next day i called up there and spoke with Heather, the manger, and explained my situation only to INFORM her what happened, not to b*tch, or complain or get anything free. it was a friendly heads up. she insisted she send me something to make up for the mistake but i seriously did not want anything, i just wanted to bring it to her attention. along with the receipt number, what we ordered, when we came in, i told her everything she would need to know to back track and possibly correct it to keep from happening again. she did still send me a gift card, which ill admit was nice but there was also card with it, and a few words from heather. this is why i gave two stars. she preceded to tell me that after she did some investigating, what they in FACT gave me were GLUTEN FREE pancakes and that it must of had a TRACE amount of contact with gluten and that if I'm SENSITIVE thats what triggered a response. i know what the heck happened, and all i did was call to give someone a heads up. so why the note basically telling me i made this up in my head and IM wrong and purposely went out of my way to complain? it was completely unnecessary. didn't even want or need an apology or admission that they made a mistake and still trying to save face? you can have your gift card. THANKS

I absolutely cannot get enough of this place. I may be bias since I am a breakfast nut, but this place has it all. While you are going to spend more that your average Denny's type establishment it will be hard to match the portion and quality found here. Their omelets are absolutely killer, oozing cheese out with every bite. Their pancakes are unreal, and the selection is unbelievable. Their bacon is thick cut and cooked to a slight crisp, without being greasy. Even their coffee was delicious. I will definitely be back next time i need a good hearty breakfast, and I recommend this establishment to anyone.

My folks are in town and we woke up this morning at 6am... and when I say "we" I don't mean "me". Anyway, I was looking around Yelp for a breakfast place that was open early and discovered this placed opened at 7am....tack on the 20 mins it takes to drive out + the get ready time and wala... you f ind me in Chesterfield at a ridiculously early hour for pancakes. I previously gave this place a 4-star and was very happy with it. This time I was extremely happy! I got the gluten-free blueberry pancakes which come with a blueberry compote they make in house... they were the lightest, fluffiest, freshest pile of wonderfulness on a plate I've had in quite awhile. Seriously fantastic. Deserves an upgrade to the 5-star status. Yay!! I not only love giving these but love finding a place I can go back to again and again. Thank you OPH for making such an awesome gluten-free option for me!! My folks are not GF. They both ordered the french toast and gave enthusiastic praise. On a side note, they put all items for the GF person on red plates (everyone else gets white) so there is no mix-up back in the kitchen or on delivery to your table. I've never seen this done anywhere else but it's a pure stroke of genius. If you are eating GF and a non-red plate lands in front of you speak up!!

I have eaten here many times and service and food has always been great. Portion size is big which I love, but it reflects the price. The food is expensive, especially the orange juice, but I love that it is squeezed by a $1000 machine (says the breakfast bartender). I recommend the meat lovers omelette and dutch baby.

Well, I went in on a Wednesday to get some biscuits and gravy. I waited to be seated, which was not long, and upon sitting down I mentioned to my hostess what I was there for. She informed me that they only do biscuits and gravy on Saturdays! Wait a minute, the Original Pancake House (purely a breakfast establishment) only does biscuits and gravy on Saturdays? Extremely disappointed in not strong enough to explain my dismay! Will I go back, sure most likely, but not for a long time, that issue has left a bad taste in my mouth. In fairness I would like to rate a "0" since i never tried their food.

Dear Original Pancake House, You are so packed on Sunday mornings. I love your Dutch Pancake and your Apple Pancakes with a passion I uploaded a picture of the Apple Pancake. I always have to come early. The ambience is busy, but visually appealing and soothing with your log cabin flavor. It's too bad yo are all the way in Chesterfield rather than near St. Louis city. Parking sucks on those Sunday mornings. Fortunately, when I walk in and I am waiting, you have free coffee awaiting all your patrons near the fireplace with newspapers to read. Sincerely, me

Okay, the wait on the weekends are long and they are only open until 2:00pm. We don't mind the wait due to the excellent breakfast they offer. I always get the Irish Benedict and it's always cooked perfectly. My husband works his way around the menu and has never been displeased with any of his options or gotten food he would consider "undercooked'. Our only gripe is they don't have enough tables and wish they would expand in the area so we won't have to fight so many other people for tables. Please expand!

Not sure why OPH in chesterfield's rating is currently only around three stars, but rest assure to interested patrons, this place is amazing! Sure it's slightly more expensive than its neighboring breakfast places. But it is absolutely worth it, specially given the portions that you usually get. I come here almost every other weekend! Everything is good there, but here are some of my personal favorite: 1) The Swedish Pancakes are absolutely delicious. Served with lingonberries from Sweden and whipped butter. Your get three thin crepe (but large) pancakes in the full order, but you can also request for a half order as well. 2) I'm also a big fan of their pigs in a blanket pancakes. 3) Chocolate filled crepe with strawberry and whip cream topping. While on the menu describes it as 1 crepe, the thickness is definitely in between what you would normally think of a crepe and a regular pancake. It's definitely enough to fill you up more and than some. Keep in mind, I'm not generally a big sweets for breakfast person. 4) Hashbrowns!! If you are a huge fan of hashbrowns, you will love theirs. It's cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of crispiness on the outside and softness on the inside. Top it with some ketchup and hot sauce, walah! 5) Orange juice. They make fresh squeezed orange juice daily. You can taste the difference! 6) Omelettes, any! Big portion with delicious ingredients. With pros there are always cons, hey nothing's perfect. ;) 1) Waiting time, I usually go on weekends and the waiting time is around 30 minutes to an hour, and there are too many seating outside/inside, so you should definitely go before you START getting hungry. 2) While they are known for their specialty pancakes such as the Apple Pancake, Dutch Baby, and Tahitian Maiden's Dream. Personally I think they are somewhat overrated since they are overly sweet for breakfast, but if you have a huge sweet tooth it might be just the thing for you! In summary, pricey but big portins and delicious! Bonus, super friendly staff!

On vacation from Las Vegas, Nevada on 05/18/2008 and were so happy to find "The Original Pancake House"! This is one of our favorite breakfast stops in Vegas and this location is just as good. Hubby had an omelet and I had sausage and eggs...always good and we were not disappointed here.

First time to any Original Pancake restaurant and man it was an experience! ! We arrive at 10:15 ON a Saturday morning. We were told the wait was 40 min. Okay whatever - so after 40 min i ask where our name was and there was still 5 people ahead of us. SO 20 more min pass and i go BACK up and look at the sheet and my name was highlighted off!! They NEVER called our name! She had sat 6 people before us. Now i know they were busy but that is just ridiculous! !! After being VERY upset they brought fresh orange juice and apple pancake ($22 value) to make up for mistake. Although she suckes at being a hostess the food itself was EXCELLENT. I haven't decided if Ill be back yet but if i do i hope its a better experience once i step in the door.

My favorite pancakes hands down. The original has just the right amount of malt and buttermilk! Its heavenly. I have also tried the bacon pancakes and the German pancake. I made the mistake of ordering a side of bacon with my bacon pancakes and was soon regretting that decision. Too much of a good thing! The German pancake is HOT, light, and is served with lemons, butter and powdered sugar. The three ingredients on top of the steaming hot pancake melt together to form an awesome sauce or glaze. This place is busy. Sundays you will wait upwards of an hour. The Original Pancake House closes at 2:30 pm so plan ahead.

A great place for breakfast foods! The hash browns are killer! I've wanted too on many occasions just order the hash browns as my meal, but haven't' done so yet. They have awesome pancakes and waffles, including bacon waffles for those of you who want bacon on/in everything. And the crepes are wonderful too. The Corn Beef Hash should come with a small shovel, as there is plenty of it, probably best shared! The Orange Juice is fresh squeezed, as in they have a machine that takes whole oranges and makes you some great OJ. I wish they had a few more locations, but should you ever be out in the valley, stop in, you won't be disappointed! Also need to point out the service is great!

This place is over priced. Their simple kids meal is $6.50. And someplace called a pancake house should have better pancakes. My daughter's pancakes weren't even cooked all the way through. Save your money and go to ihop bc the quality of their food was the same.

Didn't have to wait too long to get seated -- 10 mins. Service is very slow both before ordering and after. Good selection of food but expensive for breakfast. I had the Dutch Baby which was okay but a bit too eggy for me (reminded me of french toast). Orange juice was really good. If you like thick bacon it was done just right but I do prefer thin slices. I drove out from Arnold to eat here and while it was good, I don't think I'd come out to Chesterfield just to eat there. Cracker Barrel is fine with me or for a really good breakfast you can't beat Chris' Pancake.

The first time I ate here, I did it on a Sunday at 10AM and waited 45 minutes. Its worth the wait and the staff are very friendly. It is a bit pricey but well worth it. Bacon lovers will appreciate the thick cut bacon. Check in on your mobile device, first timers get a free small fresh squeezed OJ.

Huge quantity of generic quality breakfast food for a huge price. You do get what you pay for....I just wish the quality was better and the food was reasonably sized. I have been several times and after you eat you know you won't be back for a while. There are many other places that charge the same but offer quality over quantity. You just have to head into town a bit. Lets face it...who eats everything anyway? They are always busy so I don't feel guilty saying that.

  • Leigh V.

This was the first time we ate here. The wait was only 20 mins and what I thought was cool was that they texted you when your table was ready. Our server, Red, was absolutely amazing, attentive, friendly and very professional. And she actually cleaned our table. Most restaurants anymore seem to leave all the empty dishes and glasses on the table until there is no room left on the table. Not here dirty dishes/glasses were removed in a timely manner and our food came out in what seemed like 10 mins or less and it was busy! Their whipped cream is freshly made and tastes absolutely heavenly! Their pumpkin pancakes makes your mouth water even after you are so stuffed that you can't take another bite. However my favorite was their cheesy ham Skillet with cheddar cheese and cream cheese. My taste buds are still talking amongst themselves about it, which is now causing my stomach to join the conversation. I can't wait to eat there again! It's worth the 40 min drive!!

I wish I could lie and say this place is bad so that I wanted breakfast there wouldn't be a 30-45 min wait on the weekends! Who keeps telling everyone about this place?? Oh wait, it's me! Had a family get together for breakfast, long wait for our party of 8, even with reservations. But as usual, totally worthwhile! I have yet to eat anything bad here, and the fresh made orange juice is amazing. I want one of those machines! The bacon is thick cut and crisp, pancakes are huge and tasty, the hashbrowns were perfect and non greasy. And for the FIRST time in St Louis I have found a breakfast place that can cook over hard eggs correctly! This takes time and talent to not burn, and yet not have the runny inner yolk! Gross! That's right, the yolk must be unbroken and fully cooked through. So cheers to the pancake staff, we have pancake love!

I have driven past this pancake house now for years and the hours are odd. Closed after 2 and on Mondays. I love a good breakfast like the next guy, and there are some good ones around. Breakfast for me now has a new stanard. I know what your thinking eggs bacon pancakes, blah blah blah. This place was clean fast friendly and delicious. One,if you go here GET THE PANCAKES thats the name. I tried the bacon pancakes OMG!! Served hot with a side of whipped butter and big chunks of bacon thoughout and warm syrup. Speaking of bacon (that was the special of the day, I could of cut them with a knife and fork, (i'm not kidding) think of taste like bacon thick like jerky. I had eggs over easy and they were perfect, The hash browns were the only thing that didn't have me saying good lord! They were good but the bar had been set. Please give it a try you won't be disapointed. I'll be back!

We only recently heard about this place so decided to go on Friday morning and avoid the long lines we heard occur on weekends. We split their signature apple pancakes and a HUGE Greek omelet. That was a LOT of food for two people! We'll warm up the apple pancakes and put some whipped cream on them tonight! My wife and I thought the food was great, as was the service. Yes, it was a bit pricy, but another person or two could have easily shared the breakfast with us. We'll be back!

Arrived just ahead of Sunday crowds. Been to OPH in 5 other states. Ordered bacon plate, pancakes, dutch baby, hash browns, coffee. Real whipped cream! Real butter! All arrived hot and yummy. Service and food were well worth the price when you consider you're paying for quality ingredients, attention to detail, tried-and-true, well developed menu. Very nice breakfast... but I wouldn't expect anything less from OPH. Oh yeah, and we loved the little etch-a-sketch toys to keep the kids occupied.

These pancake was really good. I got the banana pancake they were OMG good but I wish there was more 5 not 3 because they are on the small side. The omelet was huge, good and filled with vegetables and cheese. My daughter got the Chocolate chip pancake and she loved them. I gave them 4 star because my DH got the turkey & eggs w/ cheese there was no cheese in his eggs we sent it back. He got it back there was pork in the egg we don't eat pork so they made him some more, then they were cooked hard :( also the waitress gave us refills and the soda system needed to be changed YUCK!! and I told her but she never brought me another one. Overall this place is great, I will return for another visit

The Original Pancake House is one of my favorite places in St. Louis for brunch. The freshly squeezed orange juice is amazing, the waffles are delicious, and most importantly the bacon is freaking fantastic. The only thing that could make this place better would be bloody mary's or mimosas!

  • J T.

I have eaten at three other Original Pancake Houses and the one in Chesterfield MO might be the best as they have the most scrumptious and perfectly cooked bacon. While it is NOT true that everything is better with bacon - having really excellent bacon can make up for a lot of little missteps. We must have hit the peak of breakfast rush and the staff was very busy with customers and neglected our table just a wee bit. Our overall experience was excellent. We expected to wait to be seated and that the table/utensils would be clean - true on both points. If you go, relax and expect a short wait (up to 45, but usually a 30 minute wait) it is worth the wait. The reason for the long lines, of course, is that the food is so good.

Expensive for average quality food. My breakfast which would have been a $5 grand-slam at Denny's was $9.95. Service was slow. Fresh OJ is tasty but at $4.95 for a 12 oz glass it's a bit overpriced. Breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids was $53 with tip. Next time I'll go to iHOP.

  • Rachel H.

The fresh squeezed orange juice and bacon were great. The coffee was just okay. I ordered bacon and eggs (scrambled) with the sourdough pancakes. The pancakes were very light and tasted great, but a little on the small side. The scrambled eggs were way too wet for my taste, so I didn't eat much of them. My boyfriend ordered the eggs benedict. I English muffin was good. The hollandaise was bland and the eggs were not poached, they were fried. Our bill with one medium orange juice and two coffees was $32. That's a lot for a mediocre breakfast. Not worth the long drive, long wait, or the high price. We won't be going back.

Sucks. Over priced Waffle House. Seems as if the regulars were getting all the attention. 2.50 for a small coffee that was horrible. Pancakes were included with my order, deceitfully up charged for the pancakes I ordered without anything being said. Wanting to ask for water because it wasn't offered, but never could get my server back to me. Food was seriously equivalent to Waffle House, taste wise. Over priced food, coffee, and no water or OJ. Bill $18.00?!! I never give a one star, this place needs it. Don't get ripped. Go somewhere else.

I went on Easter morning afraid the lines would be ridiculous. I think I beat the rush, and only waited about 10 minutes. Service was quick. I got a full order of sourdough pancakes, as suggested by Wayne. They were really good! I can't recommend getting a full order, though. I could have sworn the waitress said it was 6 pancakes rather than the 3 that make a half order, but in any case I got 8. I have trouble believing any single person could eat 8 of those in one sitting. I tried the bacon, too, from someone else's order at my table. It wasn't crisp like I usually prefer, but it was thick and had a really good flavor. I'd order that again. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was also highlight, being much orangier (a good thing) than any store-bought I've had. I did get a side of scrambled eggs, too, and they were just okay. I look forward to going again, being sure to time it so I don't hit the rush! (I tried to come here once before and the wait was something like an hour.)

There is not another breakfast restaurant in town that stacks up to these pancakes. This is also the best bacon i have ever had anywhere!!! Get the hash browns with onions and cheese and the juice is so fresh squeezed you will think the orchard is out back., The dutch baby is a must. The wait is long and the prices are on the high side, but it is worth it.

A great chain for great breakfast. It's a little on the expensive side for breakfast, but the quantity and quality both make it worthwhile. Be prepared for a wait on the weekends. This place is very popular and it can easily take an hour to get seated.

Fun atmosphere, but there are moldy Oranges in the OJ professor behind the bar that no one must have looked at before dumping a box of oranges in it, nasty! The wait is incredibly long, while they are using available tables in the back to store ketchup bottles, dirty plate bins and water. Place could use some help!

Awesome place! The lines can be a bit long, but it is always worth the wait. The portions are big and the food is always fresh and hot. The fresh squeezed OJ, while a touch small, is worth every penny. I suggest the San Francisco sourdough pancakes. They are the best pancakes I have ever had!!

I've been going to OPH for years, so this place held no surprises for me. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was good as expected. I was a little surprised that my Uncle's omelette came out in just a few minutes. Whenever I order an OPH omelette, it takes something like 14 minutes to bake. Clearly they don't bake it like they do in the Vegas OPH locations or perhaps he ordered a non-baked omelette. Also, I noticed that the freshly squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice, while tasty indeed, was much smaller than in Vegas. Finally, I must mention that all three of us got a little sick afterward, so while the dining experience was good, I had to drop a star because of that.

OMG I can not believe this is the first time I have eaten here! When trying to decide where to eat breakfast we picked the original pancake house bc we had never been here. Boy am I glad we did, there was a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. I got the Dutch Baby and it was amazing. It's sweet and fluffy and the combination of the butter, lemon juice and powder sugar just topped it all off. The waitress showed me how to dress it since I have never been there. My boyfriend got the cowboy omelette and it was HUGE and delish(ham, bacon, sausage and cheddar cheese topped with sausage gravy), there is rarely a time when he doesn't finish his food and this he didn't. the ok is pricey but wonderful. I am so sad I'm moving next week maybe I can fit in one more visit.

5 stars for management that truly cares about pleasing customers. It wasn't one week from my first review that I heard from the Original Pancake House manager, Heather, regarding my less than satisfactory first visit. That alone was enough to convince us to try again, and I'm very glad that we did. From the moment we arrived Heather took great care to make sure that we had a great meal. She offered me a sample of the corn beef hash so that I could tell them if it was the same as the first time we were there. It was so much better! It was obvious that the hash we were served the first day had not been mixed correctly. Because we both enjoyed the bacon so much on our first visit, we decided to split the bacon lover's breakfast. Again, the bacon was superb - crispy and delicious. The eggs were properly cooked and very fresh. We also split a Dutch Apple Pancake - one of their special dishes. I really do not like pancakes but even I found this one to be a treat. WIth tons of apples and warm cinnamon syrup it was like dessert at breakfast. The servings are huge. My husband enjoyed the rest of the Dutch Apple Pancake the next day. Surprisingly it was just as good, or better, warmed up. You will have a bit of a wait on the weekend but the food is worth it. I'm sure if I was a fan of pancakes we would be back often. As it is, we won't hesitate at all to come back when we're in the area.

By far the best breakfast place in the STL Metro area. Went on a Saturday morning and had to wait. It was worth every second. I had the Denver Skillet and it came with Pancakes. Very delicious and filling. Orange Juice was very good and freshly squeezed. Will definitely be back soon!!!!

Long lines, ridiculous wait- but more importantly, the food was way too expensive for what you get. And am I the only person in the world who does not consider more to be better? Look, I don't want 5 eggs in my omelet, or the pancakes that come with it- I just want a regular sized omelet for a regular price. The coffee was nothing spectacular, which I think can make or break the whole breakfast. Just nothing special here- don't buy the hype.

Probably one of the best breakfast places in St. Louis if not the entire region! Well thought-out concept. The food was excellent! And, great coffee to boot!! We enjoyed our flapjacks immensely. The huge order came smoking hot and absolutely freshly made. The egg dishes were plentiful and quite tasty as well. Their bacon has to be some of the best cured bacon I have ever enjoyed...and, I am proud to say I have enjoyed some of the best bacon in North America! It's how I maintain my girlish figure. Our server was attentive and sweet which made the meal even more enjoyable. The proprietor delivered some delicious apple pancakes before as a pre-breakfast treat...to die for! The gentleman (Gordon) is friendly and professional which is certainly one of the reasons this place is so popular. The only drawback is that no matter what time you arrive, there is a long wait because the place does such a good business. However, we knew this going in as does everyone who wants great breakfast fare. The staff is so friendly that your patience will pay-off big time! I loved this establishment.

Deserves 5 stars every time. Expensive for breakfast, but worth it. The pancakes are the best I have ever had. They melt in your mouth. You can easily share food with another person. It's a great treat to eat here

I met up an old high school friend here for brunch and it was just all right. The service took forever to take our drink order but by forever, I mean 20 minutes too late. Besides that, the food was outstanding. I ordered their chocolate chip pancakes which were heaven in my mouth which I highly recommend!

More pancake choices than you can imagine! Kind staff and comfortable dining room. Only drawback is their high prices and a la carte ordering. This breakfast is tasty, but it will cost you.

We had breakfast here this morning and the first thing you will notice is the long wait. We were at 40 minutes for 3 people at about 9:15 am. They do give complimentary coffee while you wait. They need more seating though because we kept being told to move no matter where we stood and when we tried to wait outside it was impossible to hear names being called over the bad PA system they have. We were seated in about 45-50 minutes and the food was definitely worth the wait. They have fresh squeezed pulpy juice which is delicious. The bacon is thick cut and so good- on the greasy side, but I don't think anyone is expecting to eat healthy when coming here! The pancakes are amazing and I love how they offer gluten free options and so many different varieties of flavors and textures (crepes, Swedish pancakes, dutch baby, flapjacks, etc.). I will definitely go back! Tip: try not to go when you are starving because there is always a long wait.

I am a fan of OPH, but the biggest problem is the LOOOOOOOONG wait. I wish that they would stay open past 2pm. I guess they feel that business drops off to much after that time to stay open. Sunday mornings are the time I like to go usually after early church service, which puts me there around 930am, and the wait is usually 20+ minutes can be as long as an hour. The pancakes are excellent, but as much as I love them, I pretty much refuse to wait an hour. The fresh squeezed OJ is fantastic, and I love watching the squeezing machine work. (small pleasures LOL) Ive had the omelets and they are wonderful, they take a bit of time as they are baked. Coffee is good, and if you take cream it is REAL cream, so be prepared for that one. :) My fav are the "49er pancakes", kind of a thicker crepe, and I get them with the Lingonberry and they are yummy. I recommend that if you have not tried this place give it a shot. During the week around 9am or so, the wait is not near as bad.
