Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Great Pizza from a locally owned and operated company. The St. Louis style thin crust pizza is excellent. Try a provel and mozarella cheese mix. My favorite. This is the second location for Stef's in Chesterfield Valley. The original location on Chesterfield Airport Road only had a few tables for sit down service. This new location has about twice as many table as the original location, but it's still on the small side. If you dine on Friday or Saturday night it does get crowded and you may have to wait. I usually call ahead and pick up. The counter staff is very friendly and hardly ever makes a mistake on my order.

While staying at the Homewood Suites in Chesterfield, we asked the staff for a recommendation for somewhere that would deliver to us. They suggested Stefanina's and we were pleasantly surprised. We had absolutely no complaints about the pizza - plenty of toppings and seemed freshly made. I also ordered a Stef's house salad and thought the flavors were good, but it probably would have tasted better in-house. Whenever the dressing is already on the salad, I feel like it doesn't travel as well. Prices seemed reasonable. We would certainly order from here again if we were in the area.

Back for a second go-around and had a much better experience. Here are some thoughts: This place was jumping on a Friday night. We walked in at about 7:30 and there were only a couple of open tables, a line to pick-up carry-out and the staff was working really hard. The wait for pizza was estimated at 15-20 minutes. If it had been much longer we would have gone elsewhere. Fortunately, the pizza arrived pretty much as forecast. My half of the pizza was sausage & onion. The sausage tasted exactly the way I like sausage to taste. Slightly spicy, visible fennel seeds and portioned off of a bigger pile of ground sausage as opposed to pre-formed. I really appreciate good Italian sausage on my pizza. We opted-out on the provel and went with pure mozz instead. This is flat pizza but still pretty good. It will be a dark day before I try their taco pizza again but I will gladly go for my favorite sausage & onion when the opportunity presents itself again.

This was our second attempt at trying the place, and I'm glad we did. We tried to have lunch here one day during the holidays and they were so busy that we didn't have the time. It's a good problem for a restaurant to have :-) Last night when we arrived for dinner at 7:30, the place was packed again and had people stacked up for carry out orders. We asked a couple of them if they had been waiting long, as this can sometimes be a sign of poor management. All of them said they had just arrived and that we should stay because it is worth the wait anyway. The girl at the counter claimed we would see our pizza in 15-20 so we went for it. As we sat there waiting, we could see that this place was swamped with almost every table full and a revolving door of carry out orders. Despite how busy they were, our pizza arrived in 20 as promised. Pizza was thin crust and square cut. Just the right of stringy mozzarella cheese (we asked for no fake cheese aka provel) covered with an abundance of veggies on my half, sausage and onion on his. The crust was crispy with just a touch of saltiness. Enjoyed about half of a large while we were there chatting and people-watching. Although I'm convinced the staff here are some of the hardest working teenagers in the Valley, they were friendly and helpful. Gave service with a smile, while efficiently turning out pizzas by the hundreds and keeping the restaurant area spotless. Whomever trained them should be commended - when they finally got a break from the endless stream of customers, rather than taking a break they walked around the dining room cleaning, refilling drinks (which were intended to be self service), and boxing up leftovers. Note that I said boxing up leftovers, not handing out boxes. Yep. I can see why this place is a local favorite. We'll be back with the kids.

Stopped in here after a few hours at the nearby outlet mall. Wanted something quick and that my wife and boys would enjoy. The dining area is smaller but nice. The menu is traditional St Louis style Italian pizza, pastas and apps. Food was very good, price is reasonable, and workers were friendly.

We had narrowed our West County pizza choices down to Stefanina's and Pizzarelli's (but still open to other suggestions). On this occasion we bought one from each place to compare in real time with the assistance of Bro J and TT. We compared Stef's with mozzarella with a Chicago thin crust from Pizzarelli's. While Stefanina's was fine and we will probably get it again when we don't want to bring it home, Pizzarelli's has far superior sauce and mozzarella. For Pizzarelli's, it is going to be take out only because the place has zero ambiance. Stefanina's has better Italian sausage but that can't overcome the poor quality of their mozzarella. Pizzarelli's sausage is like sliced slabs from a big bulk block. It did not appear to be links or the crumbled bulk that we prefer. Stefanina's mozzarella it is too close to provel in consistency and not really much better than the crap Domino's uses and calls mozzarella. Stefanina's pizza is St Louis style very thin crust, a little thinner than Pizzarelli's. We like them both. Stefanina's does not short the toppings and neither does Pizzarelli's. So Stefanina's is a weak three stars and Pizzarelli's is low four stars. I really wish we could put the best of the best together.
