I knew there was a reason I never went in these places... Everything about my recent experience was bad. The line was out the door when I arrived, so I had high hopes that it would be good. The line moved like molasses, because the people behind the counter was unable to operate the POS in a timely and effective manner. I heard them 4 times to ask people to repeat their order because they screwed it up or didn't remember. I finally get up to the counter and order with 2 other people as we were all paying together. They didn't give us a buzzer or anything as such to make us aware our food was ready. We got our drinks and found a table. They did ask for our name, so we listened for that, but never heard anything. Finally after a while, I went up to the counter, and saw my sandwich and one of my coworkers soups and salad on the counter, but they never called our name. I don't know if they were waiting on the last order to come up, but that really sucked because now our food was cold. Actually, mine was cold from the beginning. I got the adult grilled cheese. It was still all buttery, and not even brown on one side. On the other side it was lightly toasted. The cheese was only about 30% melted too. When I think that this was almost a 7 dollar sandwich, and it is presented to me like that... it makes me wonder why the heck anyone would want to eat here. This was my first attempt to try to eat food here other than a baked good... It will be my last.

I have visited this location three times in the past week. As one other Yelper pointed out, this is a smaller Bread Co., probably the smallest I have been to. While the parking lot configuration can be challenging, I have not experienced a problem. Luckily, I've been turning right out of the parking lot onto Clayton Road, which is probably your best bet, particularly in the evening when two of my recent visits have been. While this is a smaller Bread Co. location, I have not been disappointed in the food, which has been every bit as delicious as every other location I have visited. Some of the clientele, however, leaves something to be desired, at least for me. On one of my visits, I encountered a dad with his two children. We've all been there...waiting for kids to order, which can take an eternity since they don't know what they want. Luckily, these two kids did, either because they have been to Bread Co. before, or they were discussing it with dad beforehand. So, the kids went to find a seat, while dad proceeded to cut in front of me in line. Nice. I didn't say anything as to prevent a confrontation, but the employees should have acknowledged me first as I was in line before him. But the clientele didn't stop there in rudeness. As I was waiting at the pick-up counter, a lady came up with her meal (sandwich, wrap...not too sure) saying it wasn't what she ordered because it didn't have spinach. The lady behind the counter kept calm, politely stating that they ran out of spinach. (Hey, it's OK. It happens.) Not for this lady. She snapped at the lady behind the counter that she was going to return it because it wasn't what she ordered. She also snapped something to the effect of "Unbelievable." She then barked at her husband that she was going to get her money back. As I was walking past to exit the restaurant, I heard her snap at one of the order-takers that she wanted to speak to a manager and get her money back. Wow. Rude. There was snow on the way this day, and I understand that preparing can be stressful, but don't take it out on others! Bottom line, while a smaller location with a can-be-tricky parking lot and some rude clientele, I enjoyed my meals here. I will be back when I'm in the area...just hope the rude people are not.

What can be said about Bread Co other than the food is healthy, delicious and I know they treat their employees well. This is a great company and I love this place!

Arrived at 10:30 am on a Monday. The employee working the register was rude and huffed at me when I ordered a breakfast sandwich. She initially stated they no longer were serving breakfast, walked away and then returned to tell me I had less than 5 minutes to order or I'd have to order lunch, not sure what her attitude was all about but it is consistent with all employees at that location. The manager walks around looking like he hates his job, never smiles apparently sets the tone for his employees. Any request you make you are made to feel like you are being unreasonable. A while back I ordered a dozen bagels, 6 each of cinnamon crunch and Asiago and when I asked in advance if they would please put them in separate bags I was glared at. Sorry I guess that is too much to expect. The restaurant was FILTHY. The floors and tables clearly had not been adequately cleaned in quite some time. The fabric on the booths is so stained and dirty you would not want to make contact with it. Finally the temperature was FREEZING. I guess they don't want you to linger. The food appears to be made differently from other locations, I don't see a company standard being adhered to. Just a short distance away is a much better option 6 North Cafe...it is fabulous. My out of town guest wanted panera and even they agreed that it in no way resembled the Bread Co. they new and loved. High prices, low value, poor quality, miserable experience=last visit.

When here to meet my real state agent, came about 11:15am. She was eating soup so I decided that looked good and we where running early for our house showings so I got in line. First of all this is the smallest bread co I've been in. Secondly there where 3 registers open and 1 person at each register. There where 2 couples of 2 and single guy then me. The employees working the register a young guy and 2 older ladies. Everyone was working slow and then when I finally ordered and waited for my soup. It took about 10 minutes to get my soup so I asked them to put it in a Togo container because we where going to be late for our first house showing. If you are in a hurry don't plan to eat here :(

I have always enjoyed the freshness and quality of St. Louis Bread Co or Panera depending upon the location. I am addicted to the Cuban sandwich. Most of their panini are wonderful. Today for a change of pace I had the turkey BLT with avocado. very good.
