Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

The food has been fabulous both times our family has had dinner here! The ambience is lacking (little quiet) but the margs, chip/salsa & meal make up for it!!! It is clean and the staff very friendly... While reading thru the reviews we noticed something about plate portions. Our entire family agrees that this was not an issue with any of us. We all had something different and yet none of us left hungry... America over indulges and they do a perfect job of serving the right proportions depending on what was ordered!!! I highly recommend giving them a try if you enjoy good mexican food!

Good size and price on margaritas. The prices looked okay but the food portion that you're accustomed to with Mexican size burritos was average. I didn't enjoy their salsa and chips. It was very runny or soupy. The salsa looked like it came from a can. They should learn to make it fresh. The guacamole with my meal was also probably from a plastic tub or can. We went here based on Google reviews. There wasn't much on yelp. Out of all of the Mexican style restaurants driving down the "strip" this was the only one that was busy around 6pm. The food did have good flavor though. A tab bit too salty though. I would go back again.

Average at best Mexican food. The people were friendly enough. Wasn't much flavor in the salsa, Queso or my carne asada. They only have one margarita option that is made from plastic bottle tequila & it tasted as such. Overall lackluster experience.

All of the staff we encountered were very friendly. On the other hand the food was bland including the complimentary chips and salsa. Also, my son and I ordered the Deluxe Nachos thinking they would be a large portion we could share as they were $10.99...we were mistaken. They literally came on the same tiny plate as my 5 year old's kids meal. It also was only a few chips, chicken, and a cheese sauce. No toppings like lettuce or sour cream. All in all the El Charro in Springfield is wayyyy better.

Decent food and beautiful atmosphere. But the service was horrible. It took them a long time to seat us even though half the restaurant was empty. Once seated, we only saw our waiter three times. I had to get up and find somebody to fill my water. We heard they were short staffed. Hoping it isn't like that always. Food was decent. My quesadilla had cheese only in the middle but overall tasty.

I love Mexican food and this is a great place to find it. It was our last night in Branson and found El Charro. A sign of a good restaurant is when there is a lot of local people eating there, so when I saw the locals I was confident. The food was great. The service is very fast. There was 5 of us and every one of us had a great meal.
