For the genre this is a solid 4 star place. Truly this place is a gem. Hooray for small local diners! Try the malts, they serve them with extra malt, still in the mixing cup on the side. Location is perfect. Main street Belton looks like it hasn't changed in decades. A lot businesses have closed but this place endures. Decor is wood paneling, the menu is overhead in press on black letters on their white board, expect your standard diner fare. Chili cheese dog with fries, burgers, patty melts, corn dogs, fried mushrooms, onion rings..etc It's been here a long time and has a genuine old fashioned feel, not the manufactured feel or overly flashly "hey we're vintage" kind of way that is common and tacky. When I visited the place was filled with locals, a lot of elderly having their usual orders and families with kids. The kid at the table next to me had eyes as big as saucers when the malts came to the table. Service was friendly too which is a BIG plus!

Service was friendly and my family of four ate lunch for under $30 but most everything was frozen and then fried. I was disappointed because for the calories I was expecting delicious home cooked cafe food.

This place is very cute. Reminds me of them 50's cafe. Milk shakes and hamburgers. Great food, great service and clean.

Small town diner - check. Friendly staff - check. Reasonable prices - check. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich. It was served warm and crispy on a bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion. All this for $4.95. The bun can be toasted on the grill, if requested. I wish the tenderloin was hand cut and breaded...for extra points, but alas it was pre-packaged and fried. Add to that an order of fries for $2.25. Thin cut, frozen, bagged fries. I like my fries crispier and thicker. Not a lot of fries for too much money, but the staff was friendly and I was hungry. Maybe I should have tried the malts...I love malts....that might have made everything all better! So I guess my advise to you would be: try a large chocolate malt, it'll make everything taste better.
