Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

We were in Woodbury and remember a friend told us about a place that served single slices. Found out it was not this place but we decided to stop anyway. Owner was serving pizza during lunch. It was one of the better pizzas we have had in a long time. 2 slices 2 sodas, think it was 8 bucks. The crust was great and the pizza was fantastic. One bad thing was that I generally worry when bathrooms aren't very clean. Sometimes wonder if this carries over to the kitchen. We will take a chance again. Owner was friendly and had good sense of humor. Pleasant surprise! Now we need to find the pizza place that we thought we were going.

This place needs to update their hours of service on the yelp app. According to the app they are open until 10pm on Wednesday nights. With the information I had I called at 8:30 PM and placed an order to pickup. I arrived at about 9:15 PM to pick up my order. When I pulled in the lights were off and the door was locked. I looked at the hours on the door and it said they were only open until 9PM. I never got a call or anything and never got my pizza. I called them multiple times to try and get in and get my order, but nothing. All I got was seeing some snickering kid in the back that was obviously ignoring my calls. So unfortunately I wasted my time driving there just to be denied my order. Extremely unprofessional and aggravating.

I finally found REAL PIZZA in MN! I lived in NJ for nearly 20 years before moving out here, and the pizza is one of the main things I've truly missed. So, if you're like me, and you regularly contemplate begging your friends from back east to figure out a way to overnight you a pie, do yourself a favor and just head over here. They even offer pizza by the slice!

Their Mediterranean White pizza is so good! It has a pesto sauce instead of the classic tomato sauce which is great, especially with the thinly sliced tomatoes on top! Crust is good, my fiancé loves their meated pizzas as well!

Love this place! Great tasting pizza and the customer service is always excellent. Love when the owner is there. Such a nice guy!

Called in an order for pickup tonight. It was amazing! So much flavor and I loved the basil on the pizza (nice touch). I highly recommend "the Tuscany". My whole family loved it. I was traveling to St Paul so they partially baked it for me and I finished baking it when I got home on my pizza stone. It was perfect. If you need your pizza to travel don't be afraid to ask them to do that for you. It works out nicely. So go out and try the Tuscany.. In my opinion you won't be disappointed.

Now thats-a-tasty-pizza-pie! I must admit, walking into Pino's made my nose crinkle a bit, its not ascetically pleasing and feels like it might suck. My friend Kate also had the same reaction. Walking up to the counter and reading the menu didn't make me feel much better, but we were hungry and were told it would be fast. The place was empty at 5pm and we were on a schedule, so we ordered. You can get pizza by the slice with a soda, but we decided on getting a whole pizza. I cannot remember the name of said pizza, but it had a pesto sauce, olives and lots of awesome cheese. Perhaps it was called the Mediterranean Pizza...? We ordered a 16" (remember, we were hungry) and waited . It only took about 10-15 minutes for our pizza to be completed and delivered to our table. We finished our sodas long before the pizza came and the staff was nice enough to refill our cups, even though the soda machine was behind the counter, no free refills. First, let me say, whoa, a 16" is way bigger than I expected and way more than enough for two hungry girls. Second, holy yummy, Batman! While super greasy (from the awesome cheeses) it was absolutely delicious. The pesto sauce with the cheese and olives was an amazing combination that made my taste buds dance in delight. We finished about half of this large pizza and took the rest home to eat later. If I am ever in Woodbury again, I will certainly come back to Pino's for a slice (or two).

Pros: Great sauce. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Fast food preparation. Cons: Restaurant needs a thorough cleaning. Crust was bland.

My husband (a native New Yorker) has been searching for authentic NY style pizza in the Twin Cities for a long time and after reading other reviews, decided it was worth the drive to try out Pino's. We called ahead and the pizza was ready for pickup in 15 minutes and didn't disappoint. As other reviewers said, it's in a strip mall and there's no ambiance, but the pizza is the right price and the most authentic we've come across. Bummed that it's all the way out in Woodbury (or similarly inconvenient in the StP skyway location), but we thought it was tasty enough to go out of the way for it.

If you are looking for traditional New York style pizza, this is the place to go! The owner is 100% Italian and knows his business well. They have a variety on the menu to include pizza, salads, pasta...anything you would expect of an Italian Pizza place. The location is hidden in the business park, if you will, off of Woodbury and Valley Creek Rd. It is a neighborhood favorite. They have great prices and usually have some sort of deal going on for the week. I would highly recommend.

The best. I moved to Woodbury a couple years ago and fell in love with this pizza. Blows old world in igh out of the water.

As a native New Yorker, I'm picky about pizza. Pinos is the best NY style pizza around. And by around I mean you'd have to drive 10 miles to St Paul for anything even close. Try their white pizzas, they're especially good.

I went a second time this week, and I was wowed by the New York style crust. Not sure why I didn't notice it the first time, but I sure did on the second visit. Absolutely PERFECT NY-style crust- perhaps the best I've ever had. P.S. my second visit was for lunch.

Working in downtown St Paul we've come to know a handful of places where you can get a good value and fast service. pino's is one of those places. Suffice it to say we were thrilled to find a Pino's in Woodbury. New york style thin-crust pizza by the slice is their calling card, and you can get two huge slices and a fountain drink for $5. Definitely stop into Pino's. I reccommend the calzones, too.

Maybe not the best pizza I've ever had in my life, but it's definitely good. The owner, who is one-ah nice-ah guy-ah from Italy, is about is friendly as it gets. Takes a lot of pride in what he does, and does it well. Supports the community and other businesses. They have a great lunch special, I think $6 for 2 slices and a pop. Not something I crave on a daily basis but definitely a good place to eat. Would recommend.

Even though they were nominated "the best pizza in Woodbury" in 2007, the husband and I were in no hurry to try Pino's for about half a million reasons that have to do with the sad lack of decent restaurants around these parts. We're not independently wealthy and don't have much of a disposable income, so to speak, so dining out with the F. Family has become a very rare event indeed. So when we do go out, we either tend to rely heavily on places we've already been so the level of expectation can be set at a reasonably attainable level OR seek out the dirt cheap eats. Fortunately Pino's is cheap. I checked out the prices on their website and saw that a 12" pizza and two sodas would set us back approximately $15 so I decided that a risk that only costs $15 is a risk worth taking. Plus, "best pizza in Woodbury...," how could I resist? Now, the thing about Pino's is that it's in a strip mall (like most Woodburian establishments) so in about 20+ years, it will probably be bitchin' awesome, because it is a known fact that strip mall restaurants (the ones that don't go out of business) get better with age. As of right this instant, the location is personality minus. It's too sterile. The pizza itself was okay. The sweetish sauce was a little weird for my taste but my husband liked it and I wouldn't be opposed to eating it again (it had one of those flavors that would probably grow on me). The toppings were fresh and I loved the crust. It was a little bit chewy and a little bit crunchy and since they hand-toss the fresh crust when you order, we got to watch the guy make our pizza from scratch. Also, since the entire kitchen workspace is visible from the dining room, I was able to clock our pizza from the instant it left the oven until the moment it made it to our table. It was less than 75 seconds.

Definitely a fan. I wish the sauce had a little more savory in it than sweet but definitely a good, solid, all around pizza. It's neapolitan style pizza. i doubt they make their mozzarella fresh (and i don't think they claim to) but solid ingredients, better than average crust, overall, good pizza. definitely a fan. why 3 stars? well, it's not AWESOME pizza but it definitely doesn't suck. ;) it's just GOOD.

Great pizza, crust, and sausage was excellent as was the mozzerella, the only thing I would change about this pizza is add more sauce, otherwise great tasting New York style pizza.

Have lived in the area for a couple of years and finally decided to try Pino's. Maybe the delivery aspect had some impact on the quality, but based on the product received I would pass on ordering from them again. We decided to try a basic pepperoni pizza. It was bland as bland can be. There was no flavor in the meat or sauce. The edge of crust was the best part - fully cooked and crunchy. The rest was soggy; kind of like eating a sponge soaked with grease. The tempature of the pizza was warm; not hot. I think I need to keep looking for a decent local pizza place.

Pino's was in a recent issue of the Woodbury magazine 'best-of' for pizza, so I was afraid I'd been missing out on a fantastic pizza experience and had to give it a try. The crust was almost flavourless. The sauce was overly sweet. The cheese was *very* salty (which did impart some flavour, at least). The sausage tasted like green peppers (which I didn't like, but that's more of a personal preference). I'd prefer Carbone's (which is about 50 feet away) or Davanni's over Pino's. They have pizza by the slice as well as take-out and delivery.

The pizza was great!!! My family and I enjoyed the food and hospitality. The people in Woodbury are stuck on themselves and think if no one kisses there asses which the owner doesn't (great guy) that the place sucks. I think it's great and give the place two thumbs up.
(5)Wanda M.
Thinnish crust, lightish on the sauce (but real good flavor), just the way we like it. 2 large slices and and a fountain soda (PEPSI PRODUCTS!) for $5 something. I would totally go back. Clean place too. Friendly staff. This is not Papa Johns or Domino's.

A good pair of slices and a drink for about $5 a great deal you can't go wrong here
