Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I go to DeLeo Brothers every week because the food is good, the video games are good, and most importantly the staff is good! Natheniel, the owner, is an extremely personable guy who really cares that people enjoy themselves at his restaurant. Also, his staff is very courteous and efficient. I would highly recommend others to visit this wonderful place!

We went to DeLeo Bros. on a Wednesday night. The place was pretty busy ( I think there was a birthday party going on in the back of the restaurant). We ordered the 14 inch pepperoni pizza (and ended up bringing home 1/2 of it b/c it was just too much pizza for 2 people). I noticed all of the 1980's style arcade games. My husband pointed out the game of the month - it seems you win a prize if you get the top score. I think DeLeo Bros. needs to continue with the 80's theme - or do away with the games b/c they almost seemed like an afterthought... The pizza arrived and I quickly noticed that it was greasy. We used a couple of napkins and soaked up the grease and started eating...I noticed that the sauce had a really great flavor, the crust was good, but the best part was the breadstick like edge of the pizza crust. it had a nice garlicky, buttery flavor and was fluffy and tender. They serve Coke products, beer, and wine. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and will probably go back again...

Always anxious to try a new pizza place that claims to make pizza the "authentic" way...and DeLeos Pizza does not disappoint! If you find yourself always comparing your pizza to Punch or D'Amicos, then this is the restaurant for you. This place is brand new, but the food is just like your italian mama used to make. Their signature garlic knots are heavenly and the spaghetti and meatballs are great, however their pizza and calzones are the showstopper. Also, the retro atari games are a fun bonus. Take the kids here and show 'em how we used to play before nintendo came along.

First the interior of this joint is really nice. My only gripe with it is they have two nice TVs. The one near the front of the store is hard to see from any table. It appears as though it's placed so the staff behind the counter can watch it during slow times. Onto the food - we ordered a Super DeLeo 14" Pizza to split between two people, which was way more pizza then we needed. Because of their grand opening special it came with free garlic knots. If you like garlic and grease the garlic knots are just the thing for you. They are strands of dough knotted into a ball slightly larger then a donut hole and baked, then drenched in what appears to be butter and garlic. I think a side of marinara sauce to dip the knots in would have been a nice touch. The pizza itself was good. The crust was thick, cooked to a perfect golden brown, and flavorful. There is so much crust that again, a marinara to dip the last bite or two of your crust would have been a nice touch. The one thing I didn't expect was the pizza toppings to be on top of the cheese, which made it difficult to eat with anything but a fork, but worth the extra effort. I'll be back, but will probably wait a while to see what tweaks they make.
(3)Nicole S.
Delish pizza. Garlic knots are just an extension of their amazing crust. This pizza was great but I was a little put off by ordering since their online system was down and the girl who answered the phone couldn't seem to understand numbers or letters to get my order. I'm glad it finally worked out though because the pizza was amazing. Wouldn't recommend the ranch. Tasted like hidden valley or something cheaper. Pro tip :: if you're delivering to a hotel you may want to bring napkins. Additionally, expect a larger tip if out make the effort to actually deliver to the room.

I would probably give it a 3.5. 4 seems too high. My husband and I stopped in today while out running errands and tried the taco pizza, not expecting much. It was actually really good. Reminded us both of the taco pizza we both loved from Godfather's back in the day. The crust is VERY garlicky, though, so be warned. My husband (who is 44 and a really giant nerdy child) loved playing the classic arcade games, which bored me to tears, but if you were a family that had kids to entertain, they would probably be in heaven. Videogames are just not my thing. The service was friendly, but I didn't love that I had to go get my own everything (plates, silverware, etc). I suppose it's a byproduct of being a place that is really for groups of children. All in all, we'd go back for the pizza, but probably do take out. Unless my husband has his way ;)
(3)Ed S.
Very good pizza. Love the crust and sauce and fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. Arcade is awesome throwback.
(4)Jeffrey G.
Good pizza, but horrible service. We waited over 2 hours to get pizza and then we called to find they cancelled it and claim to have called us 3 times to let us know. We never received a call. We ordered the night before with over an hour wait for delivery. Definitely recommend considering picking it up, because the pizza's good. Now I'm driving to dominos (yuck) late at night to get pizza.

After living in Woodbury for about a year my husband and I finally discovered DeLeo Bros. Pizza. We stuffed our faces with their Super DeLeo Bros pizza and the cheesy knots at least once a month for a year. Recently, however, they have changed the pizza considerably. The veggies on this pizza are now far too scarce and they're diced rather than sliced as before. Their pizza is a bit too pricey to continue ordering if the quality continues to decline. Now, two years since we first discovered DeLeos, we only order maybe every 6 months just to check in.
(4)Jane M.
Garlic knots baby! Great arcade, good pizza, it's like being a kid again.
(4)Holly W.
Only had delivery from here 1st time we ordered the delivery was slow & pizza was cold. However we did order a chef salad with the pizza & it was killer. Loved it!! 2nd time ordered deliver came within a decent amount of time & the pizza was good, garlic knots great, & salad excellent! A little on the spendy side but good.
(4)Timothy F.
I ordered take out from here and I was definitely left with mixed feelings. The pizza was actually quite good; it is some of the best crust I have had in years and the flavor of the sauce was better than many other places. The problem with the pizza, however, was the price. The pizza tasted good, but it was not at all worth what was charged. While each slice had one or two pieces of mushroom, each slice also had 10-15 olives; the proportion of toppings was way off. Price was not just an issue in terms of the pizza, but also the salads. I ordered a small spinach salad for $6.89 and it was sadly only a handful of spinach with a sprinkling of other toppings. The price for this sad little salad was ridiculous. The main issue with this location is its terrible service. When I ordered carry-out I was told that it would be about 20 minutes. I showed up 20 minutes later to find the pizza ready and waiting, while the salad wasn't ready yet. I was told it just be a minute or two; I received my salad (the pathetic salad mentioned above) 14 minutes later. There was no apology or any indication of being sorry at all. The cashier just slid things across the counter saying, "There you go". The food was decent, but very overpriced, and the customer service was pathetic. It's hard to imagine wanting to go back and get ripped off again; there are always other places to visit.
(2)Nick B.
I've migrated from Yankee land and once in awhile crave for that crazy sloppy cheezy newyork of a pizza and my wheels will turn to DeLeos bros. The sauce is the kicker with its creamy sweet ness taking me back to when and where.i love this pizza and bless those hands which toss those pies up in the air and smother them with all kinds of yummy ness so that I can go in memory lane to Yankee land
(4)Phillip Y.
We visited here because I had a metro dining card for this place. We also read reviews about the arcade games as well. For the discount of buy one entrée and get one free, you can't beat this offer. The limit of $9 per month to receive discount was reasonable as well. The arcade games are a throw to the past with Pac Man and Dig Dug plus lots of pinballs. I enjoyed it but got hungry waiting for the salad and garlic knots. I found the portion size of the chicken garden salad to be very large and generous. We were able to share among the both of us. We got this at $8.39 so close to maximize our savings. The pizza special was their house favorite which was a combination. We loved the thin crust in the middle and the chewy crust. Overall, it was nice but you got to order up front so it's sorta like a sit down restaurant with some service. Also, a group of people stole our seats but we ended up getting another smaller table. It was okay but the staff was great to get us seats since the smaller table had no seats.
(5)Margo R.
The pizza knots are fabulous! The pizzas were HUGE and delicious! They donated pizza to our robotics team and were very nice about it!
(5)B L.
Wow! When I hear a pizza place claiming New York style pizza, I usually just roll my eyes, but this place's NY style pizza is fairly close to the real deal. I got a large cheese pie with extra cheese and it was excellent in its fold-able goodness. Very friendly person took my order over the phone, quick delivery. One tip: if you order the 'tossed salad', speak clearly, or you might get 'taco salad', like I did! Still good tho.
(5)Kara D.
I either love or hate pizza; I mentioned this before in a recent review. I don't seek out frozen, chain, pub, and pan pizza. It just has to be especially good or unique, and also in my defense, I don't smoke pot. I will go out of my way for pizza that offers unique toppings and styles, and isn't so terribly "Americanized". But I will happily seek out DeLeo's (seek out as in drive 5 miles east of my workplace but...) because for a modest suburban pizza place, they are "as good as it gets". And when I order there, I prefer their plain cheese pizza. This is because they have mastered the "basic" ingredients so well that they stand strong on their own. The sauce is slightly sweet and tangy, and the crust is just crazy. I used to not even eat pizza crust. It was always such a waste of space and it's only purpose was to hold up the meat and cheese I needed to pack down. DeLeo's crust, though, is perfectly thin and crisp in the middle, and bubbly and chewy on the edges. NOW I'm a woman who loves crust. Which brings me to their garlic knots, which must be made from the same or similar dough as their crust because they are wonderfully chewy too. Drench the dough knots in garlic and cheese and more garlic, and now I'm a woman who loves crusty balls. The service is always great on the phone and in person. They offer weekday lunch combos, online ordering, delivery, and other specials. They also accept Belly rewards cards and usually have a coupon available upon Yelp check-in. There are video and pinball machines to keep the kids out of your face. DeLeo Bros is a great place.
(5)Katie C.
I absolutely love this place! The food is fantastic..staff isn't the most friendly, but you don't really deal with them after you order anyways. Love the old arcade games, made my husband and I both nostalgic. Can't wait to bring my 9 year old here. We found this place while I was in the hospital with our newborn. I was excited to be able to eat food with out getting sick after 9 months. We ordered delivery and it was fantastic. It was -30 with windchill and our food was still hot and amazing. We decided if it was that good as delivery we should go check it out. Went there 2 months later and ordered a pizza as well as lasagna. The garlic knots are enough to keep me coming back again and again...and again! Pizza was awesome, hand tossed crust was perfect. Lasagna was honestly better than Chianti grill! We will definitely be coming here all the time. We live in Rosemount and I will be making the drive when I am hungry for pizza or Italian in general.
(5)Sugar C.
Holy Smokes- No Lie, this place has one awesome Pepperoni and Garlic Pizza no Lie, I been to Minnesota 3 times in 2014, and going back late December and this is 1 of 2 places I do not pass up, I usually do this twice per visit!. The Garlic Knotts are just as awesome, I had with and with Cheese and both are extremely yummy, but hate to get full on those when the Pizza is so so out of this world good. Love, Love, Love this place. We have only eaten in, so we get fresh hot Pizza.
(5)Patrick D.
Easily the best pizza around. Delicious crust and excellent sauce. The garlic knots are fantastic. I've never been disappointed here. Plus they have old school arcade games! Bring your quarters.
(5)Brett B.
Great pizza. It is the first name mentioned by kids when we discuss eating out. If you are looking for pizza with big flavor and better ingredients. You will love it.
(5)Annie H.
Really good pizza. The pepperoni is my favorite, and the garlic knots are quite delectable. Only downside is the crust is a little too garlic packed for my taste, it almost overwhelms the flavor of the pizza itself. The lunch special is perfect if you're in a rush
(4)Chris S.
Great pizza. Great service. Had the level 1 combo that included a large one topping pizza, garlic knots, cinnamon knots and two sodas for about $20. What a deal. Very nice inside the restaurant too. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the Woodbury area.
(5)Stephanie F.
I can only write a review for take out, we have not dined in yet. The food is good, but by the time they get it to you it is cold. They quote 35-40min every time, but in reality they take 1hr to 1 1/2hrs. Order early because you will be waiting a long long time!
(2)India C.
Pizza is about a 3 but service was really good! After learning it was our first time there the cashier threw in 4 free garlic knots! Now those were about a 4! I appreciate the extra effort!
(4)Cory K.
Good pizza and garlic knots, I order it thin crust style without the thick crust. When you get there regular crust, it seems like you take two bites and you are already to the crust. Try the desert knots, can't go wrong for the sweet tooth lovers.
(4)Lymarie J.
I work near this restaurant so I eat there for lunch a lot. I always get the same thing - pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. First the pizza, the dough is chewy and garlicky. Yum! It's not stale, crunchy or bland. Second they don't put a lot of sauce which I like because I'm not a fan of lots of sauce And the mozzarella tastes amazing. The Garlic knots are so fluffy. I love that they put a lot of garlic on them and then cheese. The service has always been great, friendly and helpful.
(5)Kaveh F.
Wow, horrible. 2nd time eating at this establishment. Ordered the fettuccine Alfredo...salty, sauce tastes as if from a can. The chicken tastes and felt as if frozen and the microwaved. Caesar salad...was ok. The only reason why it got 2 stars from me was the cheesy knots...good!! Not sure if I'll be back.
(2)Tedd R.
Pizza was OK but the reason I'll go back is for the great pinball machines and old video games.
(3)Mike Y.
I visited DeLeo Bros. on a weekday night. Not too busy, so service was quick and efficient. There were a few tables that needed to be cleared, but overall the place was fairly tidy. There were a few people playing the 'classic' video games and pinball machines, but the place was not noisy. We came for the pizza and it did not disappoint. Overall very solid, not too greasy, well made, and with a thick, garlicky crust that my wife and I both enjoyed (and I am not normally a fan of thick crusts). Unlike some of the other reviews, I did not find the pizza to be any more greasy than pizza you would get anywhere else -- it was tasty and piping hot. I liked that the drinks were self-serve, so I was able to keep my own glass full with whatever I felt like having at the moment. With the video games in the back, it had the vibe of an 80s pizza joint, and I found that to be a positive.

Yup, this place is good. Light airy crust that's not to thick and not to thin. AND FREE GARLIC KNOTS FOR NEW COMERS!

I think this is the best pizza in Woodbury. I would put Rocco's a close second...Why because it doesn't open until 4 whereas I've gotten lunch at DeLeo Bros. I consider their pizza to be what pizza is supposed to be. I've read the articles up here about it being greasy but frankly i don't want to eat pizza that isn't greasy. if that is your wish, you need to go eat flatbread pizza somewhere or go to Black Sheep in St. Paul - thats for the gourmand of the world with goat cheese and carmelized onions etc. and less than friendly staff. DeLeo Bros is your standard yummy cheesy stuff. Its not about the gourmet here. and thank goodness because i want mine loaded with sauce and CHEEEEEEEEESE. I hope they make it. The location hasn't been good in the past for previous restaurants. Don't know why. The owner was very nice to us when we went in there to eat for dinner and very friendly. We haven't done delivery yet but will.

I love pizza and I'm willing to accept below average pizza, but this was worse than that.

Had the buffalo chicken pizza last week, it's da bomb. Also try their pizza buffet on weekdays. Bring some quarters for the old school arcade games!

Best pizza in Woodbury. I recommend the garlic knots and the five cheese pizza.

Stumbled on this place when it first opened and been hooked ever since. Great pizza! I always ask for extra garlic on the crust. We were their first delivery customer and everything always arrives on time and hot.

DeLeo Bros is becoming a weekly habit since they deliver to our house. I particularly enjoyed the crust this past Friday, I hadn't noticed how good it was on the last 7-8 times I had their pizza, but I'm noticing now.

Great family story behind this place and food is pretty good as well. The owner Nathaniel is often in the kitchen working side by side with the other employees. Worth stopping in at least once to witness the American Dream in real life.
