The food was good and a drive in is always fun. Root beer was good. Improvement could be made to service. Waitress was friendly enough but when asked for a menu seemed comfused and directed our family of four to the menu board that DOES NOT post prices. Since we kept needing to inquire about flavors of items I asked again for a menu and no move was made to get one. Finally gave up and just ordered... Food arrived in typical amount of time was hot, looked and tasted good. While waiting I heard a different waitress come to take the order of the car next to us say, "Are you ready to order or can I get you some menus?" Grrr... Final surprise came when the waitress gave us our total... $27 for 2 kids meals, one adult meal, an (delicious) ice cream cone and chili cheese fries. Seemed a little high but no itemized bill was given to verify and pricing was not posted...

Love this place. Love their root beer shakes. Food is average. Ice cream treats are always good. Buy a jug of root beer for home, but drink it fast before it goes flat. Old fashioned drive-in, in a not so friendly town.

I give this place 5 stars for their homemade root beer alone. Amazing. Best I have ever ever (EVER) had. Decent food. Great fun in the summer, especially on a Wednesday classic car cruise-in! They are always trying something new, twists on classic drive-in food. Yum.

First of all, their homemade root beer is the best ever! It's worth coming here just for the drive-in experience and a root beer (or root beer float). Do yourself a favor and make a visit. However, the portions are quite small, considering the price. Burger patties are almost wafer thin - pathetic really. They're really just charging more for the experience. It's all still pretty tasty though, and worth stopping here for a meal.

The only thing about lake view that is worthwhile is the fact that have people bring their cool cars to show off while trying to avoid actually eating their awful food and terrible root beer.

This burger joint is AWESOME. Home made root beer, so-good ice cream and malts, tasty fries and burgers and just a fabulous throwback. Actually they've got some national newspaper recognition - can't recall exactly so you will have to find out yourself!

Very cool place. You don't see many throw backs like this anymore. The burger was good (not spectacular), but the root beer floats were awesome! Cool atmosphere where you get your meal hung on your car window, just like the "olden days" as my son put it. :) Can't wait to come back when it's warmer out!

FUn nostalgic place. FANTASTIC root beer. Fries and onion rings tasty. Friendly staff. Burgers are great. Very inexpensive and large menu to choose from. Will visit again.

Awesome homemade root beer. I would go just to get the root beer. The chicken sandwich and fries I had were good, too. Great location.

Oh yes, there root beer is delicious and ice cream cones too, that's all the place seems to be good for, burgers are small and so-so, I mean t's a cheap place, but definitely can't fill you up, I'd stick to their ice cream cones with different flavored syrups mixed in, how do they do that!?

What can you say about an old school root beer stand? Great root beer and appropriate food. Great summer car shows and friendly staff! Folks around here are such tight tippers that a reasonable tip brightens the smiles!

Ordered a Catfish sandwich, double cheeseburger and chocolate milkshake by carhop. The hop was nice, patient and menu knowledgeable. Because of increasing rain and needing to wash my hands I tipped the hop and picked up my food inside. The washroom was clean but minute. The Catfish, while unrecognizable as Catfish, was real fish but ordinary. The double cheeseburger was equally ordinary. The shake, which I think was mostly soft serve, had an interesting added flavor maybe from the chocolate they use. I rate all of my items a "C". The inside has stools so maybe sitting inside and kids may enjoy the kitchen activity. All in all, maybe I should have had the root beer and $2.25 fries.

Did not think the rating here was correct, kind of a below than average place, most places have better food. More of a treat stop for ice cream. Three is us liked the root beer, one did not care for the flavor, different taste for sure. I would not bother eating food here. This is a tough town to find food in-maybe just drink the coffee-good coffee places!

Great homemade root beer! This is a really fun local 50's style place. You can drive up and the waitresses are on roller skates. They bring your food on a tray that hangs on your window. There is very limited seating inside the building but it is a 50's style soda shop. The classic car nights are great fun!

Great little place by the lakes. I love the classic car nights. Root beer is great. Food is decent drive in food but nothing special. You go here for sundaes, hot dogs, root beer floats and classic cars.
