Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Good food, good drinks, fun seasonal options. I find myself going back here time and time again; it's a step up from Perkins. Prime rib has dissapointed more than once, avoid if your looking for a flavorful cut of meat. I like the ribs, their seasonal veggies are always good, tasty shrimp, yummy wings. Winona doesn't have many options, this is one of the better ones.

My son and I grabbed a bite to eat here when I dropped him off at college after Christmas break. I was REALLY excited to see that Winona has a Ground Round, because I grew up in the 70's and remember their original incarnation, peanut shells on the floor and all. Well, it's not the 70's anymore. There are no longer any peanuts, and the decor has been upgraded from casual pub to ...well, I don't know what. Only SLIGHTLY newer, like late-disco age, with the earth tone, but somewhat garish, fabric scheme. The waitress was really nice and attentive, but she was probably bored, as there was only one other party while we were there. (Granted, this was sort of between lunch and dinner time.) The bathrooms were clean, too. The portions were substantial, and it was pretty good Midwestern, American fare. We both had hamburgers, and they were HUGE. I might add that this place is not cheap, which is why my son--on his college-kid budget--hadn't eaten here before. This place is okay, especially after a long drive.

We were part of a group of 10 who met at the Ground Round on Saturday about noon before a collegiate hockey game. When we arrived, the restaurant had only a few patrons so we were able to arrange tall tables and chairs to accommodate our group. Bloody Mary's were on special for $2.50 - they were tasty. At the server's recommendation, my husband and I tried the quesadilla burger - it was very good. I would order it again. Certainly the ambiance was not unique or special, but it was fine for a group to gather and visit before an event. We have come to the Ground Round every year over the past three years before the SMUMN hockey game. I expect we will be back next year!

The dining area was nearly empty at 1:30pm, which wasn't a good sign. It wasn't that I had an absolutely horrible experience at Ground Round. I just wasn't impressed with what I got and wasn't tempted at all to try what my companions had (and, yes, I should have expected that considering that this is a chain, but I didn't know that it was a chain until I walked in... hey, I'm still new to the Midwest). I walked into Ground Round with a huuuge hankering for a good patty melt. I'm still waiting to have that hankering... hankered. The rye bread was dry... seems like they toasted the bread rather than buttered and grilled it. The beef was dry (granted, I did ask for well done, but a good cook knows how to keep a well done beef patty moist). I was hardly able to taste the cheese. I was sad with my sandwich. The fries were actually pretty good--they had a nice crisp, were a nice medium size, and had good potato flavor. They were the best part of the meal. Oh, and the flies all over the place didn't help either.

I love going here as a treat. The service is sometimes a little slow, but the food is worth it! They have amazing pretzel sticks with the beer cheese sauce. They have amazing salads to! I also love how they always have a different flavor lemonade when i go here, Ive seen blueberry, mango and many others.

We went with a large party and most thought the food was okay. Unfortunately, I ordered the chimichanga....what a mistake! The soggy tortilla was filled with that nacho cheese and beef/chili mix...you know, the kind that you get at the gas station that squirts out of those machines. I had about three to four bites and called it quits. I can usually stomach just about anything but this was pretty bad! Service was also pretty slow, they forgot to bring part of my kids meal out, and overall was below standard. I definitely won't be back to this place. After we left I drove just down the road to KFC and got a KFC Famous Bowl. At least I could eat this.

I went with the family. The waitress was really friendly and played a bit with the kids. The kids got the steak bites and they were way too tough to feed a toddler. My steak, ordered medium, was uncooked in the middle. They did make me a new plate and again the waitress was wonderful. The food was mediocre at best, definitely not worth the $50 we spent.

It has been a while since I ate at the Ground Round! It was even better than I remembered! Bloody Mary was fantastic, Chicken Tortilla soup is the best and an awesome Patty Melt!! Great food & service!

I took my kids for supper Sat night. The food was great! Both of my kids ate almost all of their food. They have a really nice kids menu...my older daughter had a chicken breast and the younger one had spaghetti. I had prime rib that was really good...cooked just right.

Went there tonight. Halfway decent service. Served the kids way too early. they were finishing their food by the time ours came. So they started on ours. But no one would eat my prime rib. I like my steak medium to rare but this meat was so absolutely raw it was still Mooing! I asked for a 2 go box. Waitress saw I had not touched my prime rib and asked me if it was alright. I replied "I think so-but I'm not really sure yet. The bleeding has about stopped. I'm gonna take it home with me, slap a couple band aids on it and see what happens. If it starts walking around I'm gonna name it lucky because I was fixing to eat it but then my husband heard it Moo." I think it confused the poor girl. She handed me the box and quietly left the Table. My husband left her an extra generous tip and told me after we exited the restaurant-you have to quit doing that, it's not fair to those who don't know you're only joking...I shot back at him-" you won't think its funny when it grows up to be a full grown cow and I slaughter it for our freezer!"
