Great place for locals and visitors to Winona. Beer choices are legend. Great for after work casual get-togethers. Turns into a venue like no other with the variety of music offered several nights. Homey, casual, artsy, and friendly atmosphere. Got to go to Ed's when you are in Winona. I

Really awesome music venue/bar I got to play the other night! They have two good size rooms, one with booths and tables and great art on the walls, the other holds the bar and stage area for music! I dug that there was no Tv's here, perfect for hanging and talking with friends or going to a rock show! Sam the bartender was a gem and always provided drinks with a smile and had great knowledge of the tap brews both local and regional. Super sweet! Bathrooms was super nice for a rock club, the sound was good, the vibe was good, and the people were super kind! I would definitely hang out here if I lived in Winona, and am excited to go back and play and or just go have a drink when I'm in the area again!

Ed's is a kick-ass craft/micro-brew specializing bar which moonlights as a music venue. This bar is cozy but they recently expanded and opened up a mod lounge area where you can relax and hold a conversation without having to scream. They host the best of local and beyond musicians such as Charlie Parr and Moondawg. The walls are an art gallery of paintings by local artists. During the summer the rear patio opens up with a fire pit, some random tables and a big patch of motley grass. Enough space to have a beer, enjoy the brief Minnesota summer, and chat with an eclectic mix of patrons. This is hands down one of the best bars in Winona with excellent service, music and ambiance.

Great place to get a quality brew. The selection is probably the best in Winona. Most Friday and Saturday nights they have live music from bands around the Midwest. I'm rarely (if ever) disappointed by the bands that they host. Great time, every time.

This is the bar that the locals go to. Fewer college students which is nice and more of an age range. They have a lot of live music there which is pretty fun. Great atmosphere! The owners also own The Boathouse. In the summer there is a fire pit in the back. This is more of a beer and wine place so if you like funky mixed drinks this may not be your best option.

This bar is my home away from home. It has a great atmosphere, great drinks, and is the best live music venue in town. I have been enjoying Ed's fine establishment for years and the decor, art and music are top notch.

I travel a fair amount, and have seen my share of crazy, trendy bars. It's _always_ a pleasure to come home and hang out at the best bar in Winona, MN. Ed's decor is artsy, playful and decidedly down-to-earth. The patrons are friendly and always interesting. The live acts that Ed's pulls in from all over MN and beyond are quite often amazing. The beer selection is excellent and, despite what another reviewer experienced, the bartenders are knowledgable in all manner of cocktails. Good whiskey selection, too, right up to the top shelf.

The best bar for great music, unique art and character. Don't be fooled by the smaller setting, this bar has attracted music acts from all around the midwest. They also have the best selection of beers in Winona. Come with friends and check out the local music schedule so you don't miss out.

Great atmosphere and a decent small-town venue for local music. This is a beer bar, and the bartenders won't make complicated or non-standard drinks. But they have some great beer, so if you want to go have a beer, hang out and listen to live music, ed's is a great choice. 4 stars for good beer and live music. Would be 5 if they did more mixed drinks.

A great hang if you find yourself in Winona. Great local beer on tap and check this out ... bring your own food! Bring in a pizza or we had Chinese delivered! Great music venue as well.
