It's kind of hit and miss. Their filet mignon is aged and absolutely amazing. But then I always get the au gratin potatoes, and I never remember that they taste like canned potatoes with cheese whiz on them... :( So some great things, and some not so great things. If everything was top notch, it would keep me coming back, but some of the misfires are too big for me to be a regular. I do come back from time to time for the filet mignon though, I just remember to get the french fries with it instead. Edit to review 1/5/12: Received a really nice message from Starfire, very polite and professional. We still eat there, no worries. Even headed out there for New Year's Eve with some friends- it was very busy, and you could tell that they had some people working who didn't usually work as wait staff, but everything was great, and we had a really good time. So the 2 stars bumps up to 4 for me for their professionalism and for providing us with a wonderful NYE dinner. :)

Nice staff great service. Had the Jucy Lucy burger, not to Jucy and the cheese was buried took a few bites to find. The beef was ground too fine for my liking i like a little more coarse than toothpaste fineness. Once again the steaks and other items were great tasting! Good onion rings and pickles on the burger plate! Steak nite next!

This place is awesome. A rare find in a small town. Nestled in a local restored historical building with classy but no "too" sophisticated decor. This definately seems like the place to be if you want surpringsly good food and local flavor.

This is clearly the place to be in Waseca. We came here on a nasty night complete with frozen rain and still they had a good amount of customers. We ordered bourbon, single malt, wine, beer and top shelf vodka and they answered to the call. Majority of us ordered a local Minnesota fish called Walleye. It is light, moist and spiced with seasoning on top, pretty tasty. The steak others ordered looked nice also. As best as one can find it in the middle of nowhere.

This place looks really nice, the service is great, but the food is "meh". One time I have a terrific New York Strip, but it must have been a mistake, because every other time it was seriously mediocre. And I keep forgetting that what they call "mixed vegetable" is nothing more than corn with a few tiny flecks of red pepper. They stopped making their meatballs for spaghetti, which was a mistake. It was the only good thing about the dish. Their sauce it not robust or deep, it is more sweet. The crab cakes are fairly run-of-the-mill. Their brunch is not as good as it looks. The two times I have been there (one time being Mother's Day) almost everything was cold, and bland. Don't expect too much and you will be fine.
