Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

We all ordered endless soup & salad. Out of our favorite soup for the night. Next choice not made. Seriously? At least the manager offered free dessert.

Olive Garden is decent, but customer service is lacking. A recent visit on a sunday afternoon, we in a booth in the Bar area. The hostess dis not give us menus, the waitresses just passed us by without a word. Eventually we got our own. Then "Our" waitress dropped off something for the booth next to us, looked over at us and still ignored us. Finally after looking at the other waitress, I guess she felt guilty and came over. Oh I am so sorry! Yep as she passed us several times and pretended we were invisible. I got up and walked out, my family unhappy, me happy to know my money will never darken these doors again.

The entrees were very good. On par with most high end restaurants. The desserts were very small and not very flavorful (skip the dessert).

I love the Olive Garden. We had a great little late lunch here before rushing back to Msp to catch our flight home. I love their salad and the breadsticks and soup and spaghetti, etc. And they've got good wine. Not the jug Principato! Yum-O!

Another Olive Garden... similar as any other... although when I went here they had a really good server, which was awesome. However, I haven't been here since 2008 so idk if they still have awesome service.

It's sad that this is one of the few "nice" restaurants in the area. I've never felt more midwestern than when I suggested to my girlfriend that we go to a nice place like, ahem, The Olive Garden. Bahahahahaha. Oh St. Cloud, you try so hard. There may be some legitimate "fine dining" establishments in the area, but I don't spend that much time here so I'm not aware of it if it exists. In any case, its your typical Olive Garden; Pricey mediocre food in a sort of forced "classy" setting. That said, we had a good time and the food was not terrible.

You would be better off getting a lean cuisine alfredo frozen dinner and microwaving it. Because basically that is what they are doing in the kitchen before sending it to your table.

You either like Olive Garden or you don't and since I do I give it 5 stars. Breadsticks were warm, zuppa tuscana soup was yummy and my Chicken Alfredo was yummy as well. Our server was a little slow but that happens sometimes. I did like this Olive Garden compared to the many others I have patronized because they had an outdoor patio for eating that I haven't seen at the any other ones.

I used to love Olive Garden a lot more than I do now. It's become so commercialized that it's not quite the same. The food is average Italian, but very standardized, so that you know that the dish you order at one location is going to taste pretty much the same as it will at another location. The unlimited side salad and breadsticks are a nice perk, though the breadsticks at Ciatti's Ristorante are much better. There are several dishes that I enjoy here: Chicken Marsala and Stuffed Chicken Marsala; the lasagna bites appetizer; and there soups are very good, too. The service here has always been very good. I don't think we've ever had bad wait-staff. My major disappointment is that as the chain has grown the food has lost some of the originality it had early on. The decor and ambiance is nice for a date or get-together with friends or colleagues. Just don't expect highly original, authentic Italian fare with lots of garlic and other touches. What you'll get here is cookie-cutter Italian fare that's still tasty. Their prices have really risen as well.

Poor quality of food, priced to high. Salad and bread sticks weren't all that great either. Only memorable part was the beer was the perfect temp, ice cold! Sadly, we Won't be back.

Another chain... I know! However, there are definite pros and cons about this place. I have been here multiple times and went with my family yesterday. Pros: the unlimited salad and breadsticks are wonderful! I always get the Zuppa Toscana soup. It is the best soup and we have even made it at home with copycat recipes. We love the breadsticks and the salad is good as well. The service at this location has always been really good. Cons: over the years I have fallen for different entrees. However Olive Garden likes to change their menu and they ALWAYS take away my favorites.. Example: shrimp and crab stuffed ravioli.. So with that said.. Stick with the classics, those are always safe options.. However I believe we decided next time we go we will save 40 bucks and just order the unlimited soup and salad and maybe share an appetizer or desert because those are the things we seem to be happier with.

Good service, happy and helpful waitstaff, the manager was quite pleasant and the food was exquisite! The atmosphere is warm and comforting. Overall, it has been a wonderful experience! We will definitely be coming here again!

I've had fairly good meals here, the service is lacking at times. Not bad for a chain restaurant over all, I love the chicken gnocchi soup, super good! It's not the greatest place if you are looking for authentic Italian, its good American Italian. Nice place to hang out for a bit and sip on cabernet.

Don't take my word for it... "We don't use the word authentic, to describe the Olive Garden experience. The chain prefers 'Italian inspired.' " ~John Caron 'President of Olive Garden'
