Jeff and Sandra were lovely hosts and their home was fantastic (if you go, ask Jeff about its history!) The room was wonderful and the home decor was lovely, nothing was overdone and Sandra has very good taste. Jeff has the digital cable all setup in the living room, should you feel in the mood for TV. The breakfasts were fantastic, though we do wish they were a bit more flexible on breakfast time. The city of Wabasha has some very nice restaurants with wonderful staff. Our favorite was Stacy's Kitchen which is right across the street from the National Eagle Center, excellent food and the most wonderful waitresses. We also ate at Loco Gringos Cantina and it too had wonderful Mexican food, the freshly made chips and salsa were outstanding, as was the entree. The staff here was also very friendly and lots of fun. For sights: the two big one's are the National Eagle Center (also within easy walking distance of the Bridgewater) and LARK Toys. The Eagle Center overlooks the Mississippi at a point in the river where eagles were easy to see (at least in the winter months) but the center has several of their own that are just an arms length away. Even if you're going to Wabasha without children you'll want to check out LARK Toys, its about 5 miles down the road. It has a wonderful toy museum that will bring back memories for everyone and tons of unique toys for sale that will tempt kids of all ages, 1-100! Several places to have a beer or other nightcap as well. Everything but LARK Toys is within easy walking distance of the Bridgewater and we think you'll enjoy both their home and the wonderful little town of Wabasha. Would probably give it 4.5 stars if that was possible. -- John & Sally
