Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

It's just OK. Horribly overrated by the locals. The pizza is OK for thin crust and it is the only crust they offer. Staff could use some customer service training. Not friendly when you call in to order or when they deliver it. Bring cash or a debit card. They dont accept plastic but have an ATM machine inside.

We always stop here for a supply of frozen pizzas and a half sub to eat on the way home.

They changed owners and to me the pizza has suffered. Very sadly, I won't be ordering anymore.

Dave's is well known for their pizza but don't miss an opportunity to try one of their subs, so good and only $2.50 for a footlong.

This review is pretty much the same as my Poor Gray's because Dave's has the same yummy pizza squares. Mmm, mmm good. =)

This has ALWAYS been my favorite pizza in the whole world! Dave's Pizza has been the local favorite for over 40 years; this carry-out only pizza place is ALWAYS busy. Since I don't get up to Virginia much any more, my mouth waters just thinking about their pizza.....and their subs are the best ever as well-you don't order the ingredients you want on the sub, they only come one way-but they are the best, and wrapped in foil the way a sub should be. Whenever we do get up to the Range, we can hardly wait to get pizza and subs from Dave's! Very reasonably priced, they have both fresh and frozen pizza.

What a gem in the Iron Range! I was introduced by my brother in law who used to live there. One bite and I was hooked. I had to stop on my way out of town to bring back some frozen pizzas to Michigan. There subs are fantastic too. What a great little take out place!

Good atmosphere and good deals. All the workers were getting along and genuinely enjoying their time there; no fake smiles like when you enter a McDonald's. I only got the sub, but it was twice the amount I was expecting and very delicious

There is no place like Dave's. For those who don't know the place, it is strictly take-out or delivery. They don't accept credit cards. Their pizzas are fantastic and economical. The frozen ones are just as delicious as the fresh. The place never changes, which means the owners are smart people- Why fix what isn't broken? The subs are all made the same. You either order a half or a whole, and the whole subs are 18 inches, on fresh bread. Delicious. No alterations are necessary, just order them as they come at least the first time you try them. The place is always busy, I believe they have a whole staff making pizzas from open to close in a assembly line method just to keep up. The sauce is delicious, the ingredients are fresh, and the crust is thin and crispy. I have been eating food from there since infancy, and I've never had a bad meal from this place. Anybody from this area could smell the scent of their food and identify it immediately, and wish they were home so they could stop in at Dave's!

While Dave's is best known for pizza it is all about the subs for me. A half sub is easily twice the weight of a full size Subway. Limited ingredients, nothing fancy schmancy available to put on it. But it works in a magical way. I would call Dave's subs gourmet, but that would insult the whole culture that is Dave's. If you are looking for a sit down place, this isn't it, take out only. They don't take credit cards either but they are so reasonably priced you probably have enough money laying on the floor of your vehicle to buy a sub.

Whenever we come to Virginia to visit family we NEVER leave town without getting at least one Dave's pizza. I live in Chicago and nothing can compare to Dave's. Seeeeeeeeriously great pizza. Crispy to the very last bite, sausage on every square, zesty sauce and we've gotten it delivered to the hotel and it's been *too hot* to eat!! How do you even?!?!?!

Best pizza I have ever had, I've eaten this pizza hundreds of times and it never ever gets old. If you ever find yourself in Virginia, MN do yourself a favor and order yourself a pizza! You can also take some frozen ones home for later as well.

This is the best pizza ever! Whenever we are in town, this is the place to stop. We typically bring 10-20 frozen pizzas home with us to get us through, though they never last. The price is fantastic and the subs are great for a bite on the road. It's a must stop when in Virginia. I always forget, they are cash or check only.

I grew up eating Dave's and it truly is the best. So much so that while visiting my family up north this weekend I had it twice! I ordered it for my family pre-birthday gathering and my uncle brought some to the birthday gathering. This is the same uncle that many moons ago was dispatched from my grandparents to pick up the pizza for everyone and ate half of it on the way home. Others have told me this is not strange behavior when Dave's is involved. So good you will dream about it.
