Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I want this place to succeed, but there needs to be some ambiance to go along with the prices paid for each pizza. Too cavernous, too brightly lit, too white, too institutional. It didn't create the feeling of enjoying a leisurely meal but rather a fast food establishment. The staff was great and friendly. We enjoyed our pizzas very much, but the bread and olive oil ordered to nibble on while waiting didn't arrive till reminded. The bread was in a brown paper bag and had to have come from Cub, not the great chewy bread I'd expected, and the oil was in a disposable plastic container. Did not eat it. Plastic glasses, plastic utensils, toilet paper-like napkin dispenser. Wine and beer were in real glasses. I like the quickness of the pizza oven, but there needs to be some better order to the process of ordering. It's confusing - were we to go right to the register, tell the pizza maker directly? Overall, delicious pizza but if there was some work done towards making this place feel more enjoyable, we would frequent it more often.

This single location independent rivals Punch and any other wood fire pizza restaurant I've visited. The pizza is great. Tonight we tried the beet salad and the bacon wrapped pepper appetizer, which was one of the tastiest bites I've ever experienced. Delicious. And, the food was ready nearly as quickly as a fast food restaurant. Highly recommended.

Mixed. The first time was stellar, second time was disappointing. Both times service was questionable.
(3)L P.
Been there a few times, and by now, they should have their act together but don't. Pizza is good, but a little pricey. Manager/chef seems like he has a chip on his shoulder. He doesn't acknowledge customers when he should. Too bad, the place had potential.

I am a huge pizza fan and love pizza. I thought i would try this place out for that reason. When i walked in i wasn't sure what to do right away, something different i haven't seen before. There is just the right amount of toppings where you get a little on every bite. Very simple and it tastes great.
(4)Vanessa S.
The only Restaurant I know that bakes your pizza in front of you in a large pizza oven. The pizzas were really good. But I would definitely pick this place for a date or family coming into town to visit.

The GF and I stopped for lunch at Quickfire last weekend. The service was very fast and friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Quickfire is on par with Punch Pizza in our estimation.
(4)Julie B.
I went in with my kids when we were craving a pizza. My kids got the mac n cheese pizza, it was a little on the spicy side. The Margherita was pretty good. Staff was very helpful, I love that you can pick your own toppings, the pizzas were really quick. I would love a little more atmosphere in the restaurant for those wanting to dine in though. Nice change for Stillwater, I hope they do well

Probably the worst woodfire pizza in Twin Cities. 1. 90 seconds to cook pizza.... 10 mn you wait and watch them make it. 2. No ambiance. No music. Nothing. 3. Overcooked pizza. To the point of nasty. Pizza tasted aweful. Not burned... but way overcooked. First time I did not take home or eat our food. 4. Rude workers who care more about themselves then customers. 5. Mixing Buffalo Mozz with cheap shred.... WTF 6. Operational management needs to be checked here. A lot of wait... unnecessary wait. 7. Was blamed that I asked for the special yesterday that was posted on the sign. My fault they did not change the sign.... whatever. 8. Lots of touching of ingredients with bare hands and handling of food when unnecessary. This must be a healthcode violation. Management: goto punch line service pizza and see how they do it.... cause your no punch. Comparing this pizza to: Pizza Nea, Element, Punch, Lola, Brick.

My whole family loves this restaurant! It is right on Stillwater's main street - with a warm, casual atmosphere. We have eaten here at least 5 times. and between us we've probably tried every pizza on the menu. They were all excellent. It is not the pizza my children are used to, so I was leery at first. It is woodfired, with fewer, but extremely flavorful, quality ingredients. It is about $10 per personal pizza. We tried the caesar salad (about what you'd expect), the antipasto (extraordinarily good with fresh mozzerella and flavorful basil) and the tiramisu(best my husband and I have had). The service was very friendly and attentive. Pizza was brought to our table quite quickly - within 10 minutes. My children asked when we could come back! We will definitely return.

Driving back from Marine on St Croix, still on a chocolate high, out of the corner of my eye I noticed "grand opening" signs on a bright orange & white building facade on the main street in Stillwater. Woodfire pizza, I'm interested. Besides, it's time for something substantial. Stepping inside, I meet the friendliest staff. I pick the Hawaiian Pig Roast. Pulled pork, BBQ sauce, slightly hot peppadew peppers, fresh pineapple. I like my woodfire pizza slightly on the well done side, they nailed it. I'll definitely be back to enjoy another crispy, crackle-y crust topped with one of their tasty combinations.

This is now my favorite pizza in the the twin cities! It is a simple place. You tell them what to make, and pay, then they deliver the personal-sized pizza to you in just a few minutes. It's fast and delicious! As others have mentioned, you don't go here for the ambiance. But it is not a cheap plastic fast food restaurant either. There are a couple nice window tables that allow you to watch the downtown Stillwater traffic. I go with the cajun sauce, which is a mixture of their regular red sauce plus a spicey nice buffalo sauce. It's an awesome combination! I also like pepperoni, kalamata olives and prosciutto, which they slice up fresh, but there are lots of other ingredients from which to choose. The crust is just-barely-done, just the way I like it. They have a small but nice selection of beers on tap too. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and 16oz beers were $2.
(5)Matt E.
Great concept, I love pizza and when it's cooked in a wood fire oven it's usually hard to beat. I ordered the goat cheese, arugula and prosciutto pizza (how good does that sound!) and was really excited to try it. Visually the pizza was awesome, and the fact that they shaved the prosciutto fresh for each pizza was a nice tough. However the pizza was really bland, which is shocking with those ingredients. The arugula was put on the pizza before it was cooked, which made it a little soggy and sapped the flavor from it, the sauce was bland and the crust was a bit tough and under seasoned, a little salt would go a long way. One person in our group had the buffalo chicken pizza and loved it, so my advice would be to order a more traditional pizza and it might be pretty solid, however the sauce and crust being bland is tough to compensate for.
(2)Joel S.
I love this place, great pizza, had great flavor and you can make your own!!!! It is only 10" pizza but price and flavor, you can't beat it
(5)Kar L.
We tried the Thai Chicken and Ordinary Guy pizzas. The crust is crispy outside and chewy inside. They are so flavorful and have fresh ingredients. We would come back again!
(5)Michael B.
Not that great. Dough was wet and sloppy. Not much flavor. One person had a salad and the ranch dressing tasted spoiled.
(1)Mickie C.
It's just as is says, the pizzas are quick and cooked in a fire oven. Such a treat!
(5)June N.
Love this place!! Always walked by and never thought to go in. The staff is VERY friendly and nice. Tad is the best (just asked him what his name was) He has mastered his craft and is making the owners very rich by being so personable. Kudos!!!
(5)Kade K.
For starters the pizzas are a little expensive for "personal sized" pizzas (even relative to other stone fired pizza-joints). It's actually cheaper to get a 7$ cheese pizza and add tomato and basil than it is to get a Margherita "specialty" pizza. Two pizzas would've been expensive so we got a house salad and split one pizza and salad between two people. The salad was pretty decent, with cherry tomatoes, carrots, onions and a large quantity of red and green bell peppers. There was also a negligible sprinkle of cheese (but the small quantity didn't bother me). The pizza was pretty tasty, it wasn't wet like punch or burned like Black Sheep. The crust was soft and had a nice texture, but the pizza seemed to lack flavor. It was actually kind of odd how bland it tasted, considering it had all the components of a more-flavorful pizza. The staff didn't seem hugely enthusiastic, but it is a "fast casual establishment", where you go to get fast-ish food, eat it, and then go on with your life.
(4)Lorraine N.
They showed up with a ton of pizza for a local Chamber mixer and even though I grabbed this pizza after it had sat on the table for probably over 20 minutes. They still deserve a five star rating---it was that flavorful and delicious. I had the mac n cheese, the thai pizza with snowpea pods on it, and a couple slices of margheretta pizza. Every option I would have again. I don't normally eat this much pizza at one time but because they were all so savory and topped with interesting and quality ingredients it didn't feel so wrong! The guy representing the business that night was friendly and professional and I enjoyed his personality also.
(5)Ajtk S.
Great concept, excellent taste You select your pizza ingredients, in addition they're quick & wood fired, awesome! Definitely will go there again.
(5)Jane C.
Excellent service. I ordered the mac& cheese pizza with green olives. It was delicious. I am definitely coming back. First great experience
(5)Katy A.
Excellent Pizza & Service! We visited this place for the first time late on a Monday night when they were just about to close. They treated us amazing and did not rush us out of there or anything, which we really appreciated. I had the cuban pizza and it was AMAZING. My husband had the ordinary average guy pizza which was very good as well. Can't wait to go back and try the Cajun although it will be hard not to order the cuban again, as it was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place for a unique pizza experience.
(5)Bobby B.
Very good personal pizza. Pizza is made fresh with fresh ingredients in front of you; like a Subway sandwich. They use woodfired oven adding nice flavor. Modern atmosphere inside. Very clean. Flatscreen monitors used for the menu options. It's not a gourmet place. However it's nice place to go for a light lunch or dinner. Also note that the dough is very fresh and hand tossed. The crust is not baked in a shroud of fat like Pizza Hut. I wish we had quick fire in our town.
(3)Patti I.
If, like me, you prefer your pizza NOT overloaded with goopy toppings, Quickfire's offerings are a welcome change from most of the other pizzas available in Stillwater. The line-up-and-order routine at Quickfire would be fine if it wasn't crowded, but I went in to buy five pizzas to carry out, and I would have hated to be in line behind me (and the party behind me that ordered four.) It's nice that they have the wood-fired oven. Actual cooking time was pretty quick. A good woodfire pizza should have a bit of charring on the edges, but my pizzas were all on the burned side. Quickfire's pizzas are not on par with real Neapolitan pizzas like those at Brick's, Pizza Nea, or Punch. I wouldn't make a special trip to Quickfire, but if I am in the mood for pizza in Stillwater I will go again.
(3)Mark R.
Staff somewhat friendly, pizzas are good due to quality ingredients. Forgot my andouille sausage on my pizza, and when I told the older gent (assuming manager or owner) I received a grumbled "sorry". Then he walked off. Good food, poor service, high price.
(3)mark m.
Be bold, the specialty pizzas are great!
(4)Kelsey S.
I had the Macaroni and Cheese pizza, I was a little skeptical about it as it sounds not very good. It was so good! Everything tasted great! It was fast service and the employees were really nice. Plus they serve Gluten free pizza crust. yumm. We will defiantly be back again, soon!
(5)C N.
This is a nice new addition to beautiful main street Stillwater. Very simple concept with some gourmet toppings. Wood-fired pizzas in 90 seconds. Some are a bit pricey, but they seem to have a reasonable daily special. I had the sausage and mushroom for $6.99. Lots of cheese, high quality mushrooms, and what seemed to be upscale sausage. Wish they had Parmesan shakers available as well as olive oil bottles, like Punch pizza does. This is very good pizza and I hope it makes it. Best in the cities? No, but certainly a worth addition to the area. There is nothing else in Stillwater like it.
(5)Deidred A.
The pizza is good but a little pricy. A personal pizza runs $10+. Pretty good atmosphere but what gives it two stars is the owner/head-chef. Simply put the guy is a jerk. The ice-machine was not working. When my wife and I made him aware he looked at us like we had two heads and mumbled. Then he mopes around the place like it has a stench. Look, I am sure that the owner thinks he is hot stuff because maybe he went to the Cordon Blue institute and was a head-chef in Minneapolis but these are not reasons to be a jerk. And it is a pizza place. We will not be going back because of his attitude. And if you think I am being unfair, look at my other reviews. Never have I given a bad review because of jerk staff.
(2)Cory N.
The Thai pizza is probably the best pizza that I've ever had. Great atmosphere, incredible and original food plus attentive staff make for a pretty solid restaurant! Definitely worth a visit!
(5)Jessica M.
The food was pretty mediocre and really had no flavor. We had the brachetta and a pizza and neither of them had any taste even though they looked good. My husband said that the beer was flat, too
(2)Abe A.
A new pizza concept for downtown Stillwater. Think Subway or Chipotle - - for woodfired pizza. You can start with a cheese pizza and add veggies and meats, or you can order one of the specialty pizzas. My husband ordered the pizza special of the day - sausage and peppers, and I ordered the Thai Chicken pizza. Both were very good, but would have liked a little more heat in the Thai pizza, which I can ask for next time I order it. They even had a macaroni and cheese pizza. They have a couple of tap beers from Lift Bridge. The owner, Ryan, was friendly and interested in our comments about the pizza. We'll definitely go back.
