Biker bar. Menu is filled with a bunch of frozen / fried selections. Nothing felt fresh. We came for lunch and it felt like they were still picking up from last nights party. For a Sunday morning, I was hoping for some light tunes, they were bumpin Kelly Clarkson type nightclub jams. When we asked politely if they could change the music, they just turned it down a bit. You'd think with all the bikers they'd be more into 80s hair bands? Great location.......better places to eat.

This is a great bike destination. I have not ate here, but I only come for a few drinks and the views as I ride my HOG through town. Staff is very attentive, and there are live bands often. Its fun.

The true biker bar of Stillwater. Located right on the water it is a melting pot of all who wish to gather for a cocktail. The patio was very smokey but a good place to people watch. The bathrooms inside were OK - I did notice that they also have porta-potties around back. Drinks were reasonable and it is a nice spot to relax.

Outstanding biker bar hang out. Great burgers and fare priced drinks. Although I was a little confused when I went to use the restroom after a few drinks. The bathroom had two signs " Inboards and out Boards ". It took me a minute but I think that I found the right one.....

So many memories! Once, I was a little tyke fooling around in the Stillwater Marina... and Pappy's was my mecca for kiddie-cocktails and chicken finger baskets. When I got older, Pappy's was the hot spot for live music, drinks, and fun times with dad. Pappy's sits right on the St. Croix and is a great location not only for food and fare in the summer, but also for music and fun after hours. It overlooks the river and the marina, and if you were lucky like me - with my boat in its slip just inches from the deck - every weekend was a party. Enjoy their brunches on the weekends, complete with lip smacking bloody marys. Word to the wise- earrings and loose change wont survive a fall through the wooden slates on the deck! :)

Pappy's is what it is: pretty good bar food, cold beer and lots of sweaty body dancing. In a town that too often caters to the "family friendly" crowd, Pappy's is a place for the rest of us.

Fun place! Food is typical bar food. Beer is cold. Good service.

A pretty sweet summer stop. P.D. Pappy's is a well-known biker bar that my dad had told me about for years. We decided to make a stop on our route. It was a sunny summer day so our group decided to hang out on the patio. They had live music & a cute little Cantina bar. Bartender informed us that the outside patio was cash only, so we had to withdraw money from the ATM inside. From my short stop inside the bar, it was a big vacant dance floor. The scene outside was comprised of the standard bikers & a lot of seasoned day-drinkers from the looks of it. Red faces and big drunken smiles. Our group had a great time hanging out for one drink & enjoying the sun & music. The sprawling patio makes up for the lack-luster beer selection and service.

Who Knew? I have been in and out of Stillwater many times and had no idea this little bar was tucked away on the edge of town. leave it to a couple of locals gals to let me in on the secret. I am so glad they did. I went to lunch here on one of our first fabulous spring days and returned that evening for dinner because I had to share this little gem we have missed out on for so long. I had fish tacos for lunch and ate every last morsel- and the Friday night fish special at dinner. Both were nicely prepared and approximately 10.00 which is a good price point for what they offer. They do not have tap beers but that is not a problem because I had a nice tall can of Farmer's Daughter from the Local Lift Bridge Brewery. Cold and refreshing and easily drinkable. The inside bar is awesome with a wood dance floor and stage for when they have people in there performing. I can not wait to go back for this--get wild--shake a tail feather.

Our first time at PD Pappy's was the perfect culmination of a Summer Sunday. We arrived around 4:30 on a Sunday and had no wait for a table. We were promptly greeted by a server and although we were not right on the edge, we had a great view of the water. A band was set to play around 4:30 and the Plexiglas windows provided enough sound-barrier that we were able to enjoy the music, yet still carry on a convo. We ordered some appetizer that were delivered quickly and were HOT! Yes, you're going to get paper plates and plastic basket, but the view makes up for the lack of "real" plates. Service was great and the only downside seemed to be the lack of tap beer. Check it out!

All food is frozen, right in to the deep fryer and bland. Don't eat here and waste your money. No beers on tap and limited bottle selection

Took my friends out for a Sunday trip and stopped at PD Pappy's. The patio has a nice view and is quite large. Prices are very reasonable. Food was good and service was decent too. A nice place to relax, it's kind of fun to hear the loud horn go off just before watching the lift bridge go up. Haven't been here in 20 years, it was nice to stop back.

Lousy beer choices , nothing on tap. Wannabe biker crowd.

Great deck; subpar food. P.D Pappy's definitely attracts an interesting mixture of people. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and people watching but the food was your standard bar grub and overall unimpressive. They also do not have any beers on tap. If anything, I'd recommend it for a casual night out.

Fun place to have a cocktail when in Stillwater. The place gets a bit busy on the weekend.

Ive been to PD Pappy's a few times over the years when visiting the beautiful Stillwater area along the St. Croix River. It certainly isn't upscale dining, but it makes for a nice lunch location if you are passing through and want to sit along the river. The location of PD Pappy's really couldnt be any better. Stillwater is a great town along the river on the border between Minnesota and Wisconsin. The river is quite scenic, especially in the fall, and you get nice breezes during the warm summer months. The outdoor seating area really is the main reason to stop here--it is elevated above the river and has a really nice view depending where you sit. I also love the restroom signs (see photos) which are pretty clever. The food is pretty average. Ive sampled mostly burgers and sandwiches here--all of which were tasty--but nothing that blew me away. Still, very solid burgers and fries. Expect a typical bar & grill type menu. Overall, it's a good stop for an affordable meal with a great view of the river. Definitely try to get outdoor deck seating if the weather is nice. Pros: Location along the river, outdoor seating, solid burgers, lots of shops nearby Cons: Not a place thats so good youd drive from Minneapolis to eat there, typical bar & grill ambience and interior
