I love Zuppa's, they make a variety of sandwiches on different kinds of breads or bagels and they also have pizzas, salads, and soups. I've only had the gourmet capicola ham, gourmet marinated chicken sandwich, and also the albacore tuna (which is my fav). The prices, service, and take out are great. Always friendly and quick!!

Perfect Lunch Spot! Not too busy but they were steady while we ate. Amazing Sandwich - Focaccia bread was yummy!! wasn't to hard or soft with tons of flavor! Love finding little places like this when I travel!!

My past visit to Zuppa was very, very disappointing to say the least. I ordered 1/2 sandwich with soup. I literally had 1.5 pieces of turkey! It ended up to be a quarter of sandwich once I put the meat together. Too expensive for what you get. I won't return. :( Used to be good, but not anymore. Other choices in the area for better quality food for price.

You would never expect a tiny strip mall location to be this good! All their sandwiches and soups are great. There is always people in here (never overly crowded, but never empty). The only thing I wouldn't order again is their pizza. Although it's not bad by any means, it's ok. But if you had a choice between ok and awesome sandwiches, it's best to go with awesome!

My mom suggested my son and I have lunch with her today so we settled on Zuppa's for a change (usually hit Panera). I would give it five stars but the gluten free vegan in me needs more options and more ingredient information listed. I used to work at the hospital so I've had Zuppa's before. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The place is usually packed around lunch. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Today we walked in and it was crowded and the music was way too loud. We almost ordered it to go but we weren't sure where to go so we just stayed and shouted over it all. Maybe I'm just sensitive but I do not remember the music ever being that loud. The lady helping us had lost her voice so we could hardly hear her:-/ anyway it didn't affect our experience it was a nice time. I ordered my son the chicken wild-rice soup, my mom had a veggie wrap and I *almost* ordered just a soda because after a quick scan of the menu I decided there wasn't much for me. My mom talked me into a veggie wrap on gluten free bread with no cheese. I didn't ask if the bread was vegan...gonna guess it wasn't but I never order bread anywhere so decided to do it anyway - plus didn't want to offend my mom or get into a shouting match discussing ingredients over the music with ten people behind us. The wrap that wasn't a wrap was so so good. The bread was light and soft. It didn't taste dense like some gluten free breads can. Now that I think about it I didn't ask if the veggies were cooked in olive oil or butter. I assume olive oil but I should have asked. I forget people use butter as I never do and never think about it. My son loved his soup. Only complaint was that it was either a cup or a pint (which seemed huge) and he didn't want a bread bowl. I got him a cup but ended up getting another cup to go. He's a picky eater so I didn't order him a sandwich I knew he wouldn't touch. My mom loved her veggie wrap. I do wish there were also more dairy free soup options. My son is lactose intolerant so I had to give him a lactase pill.

Delectable, affordable, generous, and fast! I can't say enough good things about Zuppa! I'm quite addicted to finding new restaurants on Yelp. This was one of those that I "dragged" my wife to as it is a bit of a drive and seemingly "different" to her. Let's just say that a week after our first visit, she demanded that we go again! They have about six main sandwich options, but you get your choice of breads/style to put them on. They have "gourmet" which is a french bread style bun, ciabatta bread, bagels, focaccia, and wraps. You can do 1/2 sandwiches with soup or go full size and add soups. The sandwich options seem to mostly have a meat such as turkey breast, roast beef, or chicken breast, with the addition of spinach and either a basil aioli sauce or vinaigrette. They are ridiculously good. I've tried three different sandwiches now and its so hard to try anything else because they are so good. I have to say, I'm not very much of a soup connoisseur at all. I don't make it at home often, and I rarely if ever would get it at a restaurant. But I have to say, the wild rice and tomato basil are two of the best soups I have ever had in my life, no question. They come out PIPING hot, so hot I burned myself the first time I tried it. But as long as you are expecting the heat, it is more than welcome. The pizza is not something I would recommend here. After initially trying the sandwiches and soup, I figured the house made breads would result in amazing pizza dough. That is far from the case. The crust was far below average. They should seriously just drop this from the menu as it clearly isn't their focus. Speaking strictly to the food, prices, and staff I have nothing but great things to say. This place *should* be growing and opening up additional storefronts. From a business perspective, they really should actually charge more because the product is phenomenal but the prices are nearly rock bottom. The logo is hard to read and understand, their website is from the 90's, and the location itself could use better finishes and a remodel. I would imagine the brain behind this restaurant is a die-hard cook/baker and not as much a business expert. If they were to put someone on the team who excels in growing the business, I could see a franchise model that explodes - all based on the great recipes and ingredients. Overall, I wish this place was just down the street from my work, because I would be at it for lunch everyday! It is GREAT!

First, the service was excellent. My wife and I went there for dinner tonight and a younger (high school?) crew was working. They were friendly, attentive and made us feel comfortable. Now, on to the food. I ordered the chicken premium sandwich (chicken, artichokes and roasted peppers on baguette) and my wife ordered a turkey focaccia with Gouda. Both were really tasty and not too heavy. The ingredients were thoughtfully assembled and no one thing overwhelmed the sandwich. Also, the bread seemed really fresh and it had a good bite. The soups were fine although the flavors of the onion-bacon that I had were muddled. I will be going back soon so I'll update my review after having tried another variety of soup.

I estimate that I've eaten here nearly 100 times in the past 3 years. It is, as other people have mentioned, a "hidden gem." EVERYTHING I try here is delicious and unique. Salads, sandwiches and pizzas are made in front of you. From order to table I'd say 5 minutes if they're busy. Pizzas take about 15 minutes. There are always several house soups on tap, along with a daily special. Although the soups are absolutely delicious, as someone who watches their salt intake I find they can be too salty for my needs (not wants). Lunch time is by far the business time. If you come at the height of rush hour I'd say it would take up to fifteen minutes to order, and then the additional 5 minutes to receive your food. Most of the staff is super friendly. If I could but stock in this business I would :)

Love pretty much everything about this little place. They really have one of the best wild rice soups that I've ever eaten and I've eaten that at any place that I've been that serves the stuff. Their shrimp bisque had an excellent flavor but I do wish that it wasn't a smooth soup. I would like chunks of shrimp in that one. I'm a huge fan of their sandwiches. I've gotten to the point where I only order one or two types. I love their albacore tuna and gourmet beef. This is a little place but well worth stopping. It's much better option that the chain and fast food places that populate Shakopee.

Hidden Gem is right. This place has been here for like 8 years and I'm surprised to hear people that live in Shakopee have still never been here. Anytime I'm in town I try to stop in. You can get a 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwich for like $6 and most of the time its too much food. The Smoked Turkey focaccia and the pork loin sandwich are my favs. Make sure to check out the soups too. All homemade and incredible!

Great food, ordered a very flavorful italian sandwich. Definitely recommended as this is not your typical sandwich shop. Great tasting bread too.

Stopped in because they had good reviews for gluten free options for someone in our group. I had the capicola ham gourmet sandwich and it was excellent! Great combination of meats, cheese and mustard. My daughter had a chicken salad sandwich on focaccia. The bread was so flavorful but the chicken salad was somewhat nondescript. The bread made up for it, though. Overall, pretty close to five stars!

Wow! I now wish I lived in Shakopee. Great prices, even better food, and family-owned. The smoked turkey focaccia sandwich may be the best sandwich I have ever eaten, both the basil aioli and bread were unbeatable. The chicken wild rice soup was not the traditional variety I have come to expect, but it was a pleasant change. I'll be making a trip here next time I find myself anywhere near the south metro.

Hidden gem of a place. Doesn't look like much from the outside but once you eat here, you'll have your new lunch spot! You can tell that the ingredients they use are fresh and there has been care put into the menu items.

Well THAT was unexpectedly delicious! This place came up as local on Yelp and someone said they had gluten free options. I'm always sceptical, especially given the location - in a strip sharing a parking lot with Target in Shakopee. On walking in the door, all my expectations were blown away. First off, it was lunch time and the place was PACKED. There are 20-odd tables and nearly all of them were full. Secondly, the smell, which gets you as you walk in, is wonderful. Kind of a spicy, vinegary, Italiany goodness that I associate with really good sub shops. The staff was super nice and explained that you can order pretty much any sandwich option and get it on gluten free bread. They also have several gluten free soup options. It's counter-order and pretty fast. I ordered the Albacore Tuna with lemon aioli on gluten free bread. I was warned by the order-taker that some people get confused and think they've been given non-GF bread when they get their orders because the bread looks too good (because, let's face it GF is often gross). I'm glad she warned me because the sandwich I got did NOT look like gluten free - nor did it taste like it! The bread was hot, soft and crusty. In short - pure heaven for a sandwich. The sandwich was absolutely divine. The tuna was good quality and mixed with celery and both red and green onions. There was a generous amount of sprouts. And the lemon aioli made it really special, not your average tuna sub. I will absolutely be going back.

Highly recommend this place. Seriously everything on the menu is great. Especially the Italian chopped salad and southwest chicken wrap. You won't be disappointed with the great food and friendly staff.

It's been four years since I last reviewed this place. They have remained consistent in every aspect, and if anything they have only improved. I have discovered the capicola ham sandwich, the smoked salmon lox bagel, the Greek orzo salad, and too many soups to describe...every single thing I have ordered has been magnificent. The staff is sweet, cheerful, fast, and always welcoming. I drive more than 45 minutes just for the wild rice chicken soup, which I now buy by the quart to freeze for later. Zuppa Cucina, you are my love. You have earned every single one of these five stars.

Food and service is top notch. Best lunch place in Shakopee by far. Try the buffalo chicken wrap or the Caesar salad. If you're not sure what to get.. The ladies working there have great suggestions.

My wife discovered this little "hidden gem"The most wonderful handcrafted , fresh sandwiches. Upscale food at a very reasonable price. The owner is very friendly and took the time to talk with me, also allowed me to sample different soups that she had. In short, I would make this a weekly visit to be sure! the Wild rice soup is to die for.

Today was my first time there. I always wanted to check it out. When I walked in I was surprised to see lots of families dine in. So the first thing that came to my mind was "okay , if people r eating then I should try it out". It smelled so good inside , like garlic bread and pizza. The menu is simple to choose from and I saw employees working hard! It was neat and clean in the dinning area.

Delicious soup and sandwiches! Prices are reasonable, ingredients fresh! I always have tomato basil soup and a veggie panini and am never disappointed. AND...my kids like eating here, so that is a big plus. No whining- they have choices for Everyone!

Zupa Cucina is a wonderful little hole in the wall eatery. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, the environment is clean, and it is a popular place for lunch. I eat there once a week at least. My favorite is the smoked turkey focaccia half sandwich with a cup of their three onion potato soup. Super yummy. My mother enjoys their Mediterranean chicken sandwich with Minnesota wild rice soup. It is so wonderful to have an establishment like this where the food is made in front of you with honest-to-goodness ingredients. It is the only one of it's kind in our neck of the woods and we love it!!!

Amazing flavor, quality and price! I can't recall the last time a half sandwich was exactly half the price of a whole sandwich - how honest can you be??? A little background. My family moved from Michigan (yay) to Shakopee last year. In Michigan it was IMPOSSIBLE to find healthy vegetarian food and I couldn't wait until I didn't have to go there anymore. Then they moved to Shakopee and I just discovered Zuppa Cucina - WOW! It tastes fresh and delicious and the price is incredible. Coming from LA the sandwich I had would have been an easy $11 in LA instead of $5.65. I had the roasted zucchini, portabella mushroom, bellpeppers, shallots, sprouts, and artichokes with herb cream cheese (and added aioli) on chiabbati bread. Mom had the 1/2 sandwich marinated chicken breast with feta cheese, kalamata olives, artichokes, red onion and forest greens tossed in red wine vinaigrette on focaccia bread. She also had a small forest greens with black olives, tomatoes, roasted bellpeppers, artichokes, pine nuts, pepperoncini and red onion (substitute caesar dressing for vinaigrette) salad. The ambiance is casual trattoria feeling - simple and clean. The music is subtle. The staff was very helpful and friendly and allows substitutions. I now can't wait to visit Shakopee again! If I had a restaurant like this back home I'd be it's #1 customer! That's saying a lot considering the choices and quality of food options in Los Angeles.

They really have great food but not so great environment or service. All hard surface so all sounds, including their loud music, reverberate. Staff made me feel as if I were intruding on their conversations.

The first time I was introduced to Zuppa about 4.5 years ago, I instantly was hooked. I am a sucker for sandwiches, wraps, and soups. This place has it all- - great food, good serving sizes, and friendly staff! Highly recommend Zuppa for the unique variety.

I can't rave enough about this place. The food is INTENSE! If I could order 3-4 items without looking like I have a serious problem, I would. I found a lot of the suggestions in the previous reviews helpful. So here we go... Roasted Zucchini Bagel: Despite this sammy having zero meat, it was hearty and filling! The bagel was soft and delicious... the cream cheese? Heaven. The Zucchini was crazy good. Smoked Turkey Foccacia: I can see why everyone goes nuts for this one.The basil aioli is insane... I couldn't get enough! One of the best sandwiches I think I've ever had, to be honest. Marinated Chicken Foccacia: This one is almost as good as the smoked turkey. It had a slightly more muted flavor, but still juicy and delicious! I can't wait to try every single item on their menu item. That's saying a lot, given that I tend to be pretty habitual. Who knew Shakopee would have such a great little gem? :)

This is the BEST little sandwich shop EVER!!!! I am in love. The prices are great, the food is high quality, made to order, fresh, the flavors are delicious, the staff is nice. It is so very dangerous that I only live about 2 minutes away. I can't wait to work my way through the whole menu. Everyone go try it now!!!

Great catering option! We ordered them in for a work lunch -- sandwiches, pasta salad, and caesar salad -- everything was delicious! The staff loved the assorted sandwich platter -- the ciabatta bread was delicious and the sandwiches had no shortage of meat or toppings. It was a welcome change from ordering in pizza or jimmy john's. We will definitely order from them again!

UPDATE: I've been back to Zuppa Cucina a few times since this review. The food is always consistently good, prices are a little high, but you expect this from non-chain establishments so I do not see this as a negative - just a cost of doing business. The staff are younger, but the consistency in product speaks for itself. I will continue to go back. I rarely rate places 5 stars, so this is about as high marks as I give an establishment. UPDATE2: I've been getting some grief over my opinion that this place is a little on the high side in terms of price. Perhaps this place isn't expensive, it just depends on your perspective and what you're used to paying.

Zuppa Cucina is really great. I was just there today. The inside is a little dim but other than that, it's very clean and very delicious. There's something different about them. Their Wild Rice Soup is something to actually go crazy about. I wish I had known about them earlier.

The greatest place to eat on this side of town. Food is fresh and seasoned really well. I love their special chicken wraps they offer, buffalo chicken..etc...... Their different aolis are so good. This is a very healthy place to eat. It has helped me stay on my diet (change of life eating) while eating the produce needed on a daily basis! I eat here 3-4 times a week. That says it all!

This place is awesome. I finally found a place better than blue ox in burnsville. Smoked turkey ciabatta w/ potato bacon soup, Amazing. And I got to try the shrimp bisque, tomato basil, and wild rice soup, all super good. Staff was very helpful.

I love this place and eat here way too often. My faves on the menu are the roast beef and goat cheese sandwich, tuna salad on ciabatti with lemon aoli, tomato, basil and feta soup. They have a daily special that is usually not a regular menu item...for $7 and change you get the special sandwich, fountain sod and choice of cup of soup, pasta salad, fruit or chips. So that's the most affordable meal by far. Their made from scratch soups are all delicious, but some of the "du jour" offerings are insanely good. Artichoke bisque, shrimp bisque to name a few. Also you can get a pizza for $10 with unlimited toppings. Staff is friendly and efficient.

I'll admit that I only discovered this place because we were in Shakopee and I had a coupon for it in my Happenings book. Yes. I have a Happenings book. (And I saved like $4,000 with it last year..) Anyway...Zuppa Cucina is rare find in the suburbs (and hard to find unless you know these places, it's in like, a Kohl's parking lot.) The food is actually unique and quite good. I had a salad, boy had a sammich, and we were both satisfied. I hope it actually lasts out there.

Never a bad meal here. I come here probably once a month and it never lets me down. My personal favorite is the smoked turkey focaccia half sandwich with a cup of tomato basil soup. The soup is very flavorful and the sandwich ingredients are always fresh and crisp. I've never need to try anything else because it is so terrific. It can get busy during lunch time, but I've always been able to find a seat even if I'm with a group. My husband swears the Cream of Mushroom soup is the best, but it isn't available every day.

Great place to grab some awesome soup, salad or pizza. I live 30+ miles from this place so when I have business in the area I always stop. They also sell soup by the 1/2 gallon and gallon so I always grab extras for home. I think the fact that they use good ingredients and have awesome recipes make this one of the south metro's hidden treasures. I just had a friend say to me if I worked at St. Francis Hospital would eat there everyday!

Meh. Very standard strip-mall bistro stuff here, with a pretty overpriced menu. Wild rice soup in a bread bowl wasn't bad.. but not worth what we paid for a lunch counter. Come here if you have a coupon.

This place has been fantastic since day one. My favorite is the pork loin sandwich. Patron for life...

(5)Amanda K.
Everything positive you can say about a restaurant and more! Love everything at Zuppa!
(5)Kevin B.

(5)Lanachka K.
(5)M K.
Delicious soup and sandwiches! Prices are reasonable, ingredients fresh! I always have tomato basil soup and a veggie panini and am never disappointed. AND...my kids like eating here, so that is a big plus. No whining- they have choices for Everyone!
(5)Pat L.
Soup and sandwiches. Gluten free. Great staff and food. What else do you want? My kids love it!!!
(5)Angie Y.
Started going here several months ago and love it!!!! Definitely a hidden gem. Fast and fresh!!! Also not hugely expensive.
(5)Hadley J.
Love the special of the day!!! Everyday its something different and always great food and not expensive at all!! :)
(5)Emily D.
(5)Emily T.
Love this place! Every sandwich I have tried has been good, and we really like the soup.
(4)Darin H.
quick service and daily specials are always great. havent tried the pizza yet but soup and sandwichs are always on point and delicious.
(5)Terry N.
Great handcrafted sandwiches. I had the turkey cibatti with basil pesto. The bread was giant, soft, and toasted with a lovely garlicky pesto mayo. Good quality, I highly recommend over any of the chains nearby.
(5)Cara C.
Turkey Bacon Focaccia... Best place hands down to get it!! Ate here all the time while I was pregnant... Very clean restaurant, nice employees and high quality, well prepared food!!!
(5)Shari P.
(5)Chuck B.

(5)Amy S.
(5)Maria M.
(5)Emily W.

(5)Linny W.
(5)Kevin B.
This place is awesome. I finally found a place better than blue ox in burnsville. Smoked turkey ciabatta w/ potato bacon soup, Amazing. And I got to try the shrimp bisque, tomato basil, and wild rice soup, all super good. Staff was very helpful.
(5)Shawn H.
(5)Dawn S.
The food was good. They appeared to make everything to order. The portion sizes were large. The vegetarian sandwich was good, lacked some seasoning. The salad I had was good as well. Staff were super nice and accommodating.
(4)Craig K.
Great service and some of the best soup you will find
(5)Ashley F.
(3)JetSetFiend S.
(5)Jorgen N.
(5)Erik E.
We are never disappointed here! Love the variety of gourmet sandwiches. We have to get the wildrice soup every time! Our kids love it too!
(5)Lisa R.
So glad this place is out here in Nascar Land! We love the Three Onion Potato Soup and the Turkey Ciabatta sandwich with Basil Aioli is wonderful! The salads are delicious as well. Always a treat!
(4)Chris O.
Meh. Very standard strip-mall bistro stuff here, with a pretty overpriced menu. Wild rice soup in a bread bowl wasn't bad.. but not worth what we paid for a lunch counter. Come here if you have a coupon.
