I gave in and finally tried Dickeys! Only because I had a Groupon. I am personally a big fan of Famous Dave's and noting beasts St. Louis bbq joints, so Dickeys had some major competition. Over all they were pretty basic and noting to brag about. I got the big family platter with a little bit of everything. The flavors of the meat were good but it was all on the dry side. The dinner rolls are worth passing over and the beans sucked. Also, prices seem to be a little high for what you get. The staff was friendly and polite so they get points for customer service. Over all I don't think I will be stopping in again.

One of my favorite fast food chains around, typically everything is hot and fresh. You might have to wait 5-10 minutes to get your food, but its certainly worth it. My favorites include: cheese sausage (so good), chopped or pulled brisket, rolls, and onion tanglers. We come here about once a month and recently been getting 3 of the XL family meals for the office on friday and nearly nothing is left afterwards.

Looks like it won't be here for long. They can't pay their rent and a court ordered eviction notice on the door.

Working in Prior Lake and wanted something tasty for dinner. Almost didn't go in because the place was empty but figured I was already there. Got the 2 meat plate with beans and fried okra. Brisket and ribs were my picks. Brisket was fatty, slimmy an she fixed it into mush. The ribs were tender but lacked flavor. The beans could have been straight from a can. The okra was really good. Won't go back. Bummed cause the pictures looked so good and I wanted to like the place.

Well, my girlfriend and I had a Metro Dining club card for this place. At first, we were a bit hesitant because the card said it could not be used for ribs. But, we asked the nice gentleman and was told it was fine as long as we ordered the plate. I got the rib plate and my girlfriend got the combo- beef brisquet, pulled pork, and BBQ chicken. We also got a 1/2 rack of ribs to go to take home. For sides, I got the thinly shaved onion rings and the fried okra. She had the side salad which was huge plus the baked beans (very smokey and good). We also got their famous yellow cups (you can take them home with you:) and tried out the cream soda which was good. Plus, we tried out the homemade tea which was equally good. There was an soft ice cream self-serve which we had after dinner. Well, we were stuffed afterwards and couldn't believe the cost. Very reasonable and had extra for the next night. My girlfriend said I made the right choice with the ribs.

Stopped by for takeout. We had pork plates. The pork was outstanding, just the right smoke on it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We will be back often.

Best Dickey's I've been to yet. Made us feel like we were regulars and seemed genuinely happy to see us. The owner brought us some ribs to try; awesome! Definitely be trying this Dickies again!

Great food hampered by poor service from a bunch of kids that need a little more direction from management. Service takes a long time, workers standing around instead of cleaning, stocking, and prep (should be automatic for workers in a restaurant!) when there isn't a line to get your food. By the time we got our food to the table it was cold, and then we found out the ice cream machine doesn't work either. Sigh!

I am updating this now that I have visited this Dickey's and a few others a couple of times now. I don't know what it is with this store but it is not good compared to the Burnsville and Shakopee locations. The sauce and the pulled pork are not as good here. I can't put my finger on why exactly, but I have found that I don't enjoy my sandwich from this store while the other locations are consistently some of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

Ordered a big ol pile of ribs and pulled pork and it was great! The owner checked on us twice to make sure we were happy, and even brought over a sample of the brisket, which was incredibly tender. Clean, bright and friendly, delicious and just a great lunch spot.

"Southern Umami" With a personality reminiscent of Dom deLouise, new owner Al handles the meats with such respect. See for yourself. He apparently is an artistic soul who grew up on a farm where the animals were treated almost as pets. His beef brisket with the charred fatty edge is wonderfully umami, like the Korean BBQ in Honolulu, but w a southern twist. It was such a delight to savor those cuts of meat prepared by a conscientious artist-cook. Less guilt too. Isn't this what America needs ? This restaurant also bucks the all too common Minnesota custom of high end decor w unremarkable cuisine, so don't expect a great ambience. That said, the space is clean, roomy, w lots of natural light, and bathrooms appear appropriately used. On my visit, the workers observed clean technique.

I should've known there was something wrong when there wasn't ONE customer inside the restaurant and it was 7pm on a Saturday night. The ratings on their food: Pulled pork - chunks of gristle in the pork. Chicken - it was actually the only good piece. Ribs- fatty. Brisket - looks nothing like their picture and not nearly enough flavor. Waffle fries - cold, soggy, flavorless Cole slaw - lukewarm (why?) and smelled like dirty feet. Mac 'n cheese- cold and disgusting. I'd eat Kraft before these any day. We ordered potato salad but got Cesar salad. Soggy and gross. Three young adults working and not able to produce one small order? Appears management is not paying attention to the final product they serve.

I had the 1/2 rack ribs with the baked beans, green beans and a roll. The ribs were fall off the bone and the bbq sauce is pretty good too. I like the atmosphere and the Texas Country/Red Dirt music is a nice touch. I will be back for more!

The food here is consistently good however, they do run out of items sometimes. The polish sausages were surprisingly very good!

I had the two meat platter with brisket and chicken, green beans and potato salad for sides. The meat was really delicious and the chicken was very tender. The potato salad had a weird consistency at first (it tasted somewhat like it was in a mashed potato whip or something) but it grew on me and I did like it very much. The green beans tasted like canned green beans, which I don't like, but I've heard some people enjoy that taste. The atmosphere there was very nice and relaxed and it felt like a real BBQ place. All in all, it was a nice lunch and I'd probably go back again to try the other meat and sides.

Food quality was good but service not as good as the Burnsville location. Wasn't bad but felt like I was putting them out.
