Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

First time getting delivery here. Took over an hour, delivery guy looked like he just took our pizza out of the oven, still had his apron on. Came unprepared, no pen, one copy of the receipt that he needed to take back to the pizza shack. Now the pizza was the correct one and that is all that was right with it. The entire perimeter of the pizza was burnt and the. The bottom caked in a layer of raw flour. Try to look elsewhere for a pie this place is just not good.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT order any of the pasta dish! You can definitely tell if it was made freshly or not and the sad part is, a can of pasta would have tasted better ANY DAY then what they were serving. Plus, my sister ordered the spaghetti and they didn't giver her a meatball that was suppose to come with her dish so she had to ask for it and when it did come out, she felt bad for asking them about it because it looked an tastes bad! However, I did give this place 2 stars. 1 for the wait and staff, nicest people ever! And the other one for their pizza pinwheel.

Fast friendly service. Delicious pizza! The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, good balance of sauce and cheese. I will definitely be ordering from these guys more often! My one complaint is the veggie pizza didn't have much variety on it for all of the veggie options they have, and too many olives, I am not a fan of olives.

The restaurant itself is definitely old and outdated. In a way the perfect place to stop after bar-hopping. The service was actually pretty awful. The order taker walked away from us twice and didn't really ever greet us. We placed our order and were told it would be about 20 minutes, which is fine. I noted that the only people eating in the place got the wrong order. Another person that came almost walked out with the wrong order and the person in front of us had no pizza even though our order was ready. "We had 9 orders, sorry". The kitchen was terribly disorganized. You can see that from the dining room. One of our pizzas was cooked and the other wasn't even started. Fortunately we got the right order which was green olive & sausage and pineapple & ham. The pizza itself wasn't too bad. I would say it was a bit on the salty side but our toppings were salty so I suppose it is possible that another kind would not be so salty. It's easy to tell that the staff is really frustrated - I don't think they have enough people or organization to have a customer-oriented place to dine. The order taker was trying to handle all these disgruntled customers while answering the phone. It was a pretty painful ordeal to watch. I like supporting local businesses; however I would be more incline to get Dominos next time.

The pizza here is good! I love their cheese burger pizza! If you have not had it, I highly recommend it!

Note: I usually get delivery. Decent thin pizza, nice spicing in the sauce, good amount of cheese. The pizza is closer to east coast (tri-state) pizza than anywhere else in the Twin Cities I've tried, with the notable exception of Punch, and running close to Mama's (Mama's is more Atlantic City-ish in approach). Good value; they have a lot of specials running all the time. Buffalo wings are actually not bad, although I'd recommend asking for extra sauce if you're from NY and are jonesing for that Ray's style.

Pizza was excellent! Giant thin crust slices with a great tomato sauce! Staff is friendly and the pictures on the wall are fun. Highly recommend!

Roadside pizza has always been a comfort food staple in my life. Many memorable moments took place here the years I worked as a waitress thru high school in the nineties. Jim Charbenau started the restaurant and has continued to make it a place to get high quality food for low prices. He legitimately cared about his restaurant and bringing flavorful food to his customers he knew by name. I think it's important to recognize small business owners in a time where chain restaurants and bland predictable food have taken over the market. Regardless of my connection to Jim and roadside, I still crave the rigatoni and meatballs in the thick marinara with sautéed bell peppers and onion. Thanks Jim for the meals and the words of wisdom... Brenda

I've been to Roadside a few times and have never been disappointed. The pizzas are delicious, Italian fries are good, and service is very friendly. If you are a taco pizza fan, try their's, it won't let you down!

Last night at Roadside Pizza, I had one of the best dinners I've had in recent memory. The place is charming and unassuming. It's not fancy at all, but the aroma of garlic and mushrooms and pepperoni hits you as soon as you walk through the door. It is what a pizza place SHOULD smell like. On Tuesdays they offer a two-for-one deal on their pasta; the pasta dishes run about $8.50, so my husband and I couldn't pass up the great deal. The lasagna is a giant cheesy mound smothered in an ocean of chunky marinara; the included breadstick was soft, warm, and had exactly the right amount of garlic. So the food is delicious and plentiful, but that's not even close to the best thing about Roadside Pizza. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted cheerfully by Nicole, the server on duty. She informed us with a smile that we could sit wherever we liked, and she wasted no time getting us beverages and taking our orders. She was instantly there every time we needed her, and she had a way of making us feel like we were doing HER a favor by letting her wait on us! Seriously, do servers like this exist anymore? They do at Roadside Pizza.

Sometimes a review hits you just right where you want to run right over. That's what happened when I read Jennifer R. the other day, a true Yelp kindred spirit. I sat in the front, and no one bothered to clean up the dirty tables. My other complaint was my soda wasn't filled. But the service was friendly, and the food really good. I got the 2 slice and soda special. I got a pepperoni and one sausage. The pieces are huge, and I ended up taking half a slice home. Thin is in, but cheese is constantly sliding off. They have great deals most days that I know I'd enjoy. I find this lot quite interesting, it's got just about everything you need. The parking spaces are kind of narrow. When you get off Wheelock, don't blink, it's right there as you turn off.

I love this place! The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and they definitely know their repeat customers. Their pizza is fantastic, as are their salads and appetizers. And they have the best breadsticks -- identical to the ones we once served at Ciatti's Maplewood. Not to mention, they always remember to hold the cheese on any of my salads -- like I said, they know their repeat customers!

Great pizzeria on my way to the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. Perfect location, the pizza is delicious, clean restrooms, free wi-fi connection... this was the best way to make a stop during a long trip! Really sweet staff. Good food, good price, awesome service and very clean.

Cheap cheap cheap. Lunch for $5 & delish. The Caesar wrap was huge and yummy. Spaghetti & meatball are a great, cheap lunch that's actually good. Highly suggest going!

I rarely give out five stars, but it has been longer than I can remember since receiving the genuine customer service I received here that has seemingly all but disappeared in the restaurant industry. I brought my two-year-old with me with great hesitation. He doesn't normally do well in sit-down restaurants. We were immediately offered crayons and coloring books. Not the type of one page throw-away coloring menus you might see at Perkins. These were full coloring books with plenty of use and an entire bowl full of heavily used crayons. That kept him busy for about ten minutes, which is about eight minutes more than the three crayons/one sheet would. He had been asking for fries all day so I asked if they had them. They did not, but the waitress offered potato chips instead which I think he enjoyed even more than he would have the fries. He had also been asking for water which I relayed to our waitress. She asked if he would prefer it in a paper cup with a lid instead of a plastic cup, which was of course a good idea and something I wouldn't have otherwise thought of. Once he finished his chips, the waitress saw that he was getting restless and offered him a cookie which he hastily accepted. In the meantime, we were continually checked up on while waiting for and during the meal. There was a slight mix-up concerning an item for take out at the end of our meal. There was no fault involved but Roadside took full responsibility and were over-the-top gracious in their response. I left a hefty tip to let them know I was satisfied. I will be back; not so much for the food which was mediocre, but for the incredible customer-centric service.

Having moved here from out east, I haven't found a pizza yet that would earn 5 stars. However, this one is pretty tasty! Had a restaurant.com coupon for this place forever, and finally went out for dinner. With their week-night specials, we had a tough time spending enough to use our coupon! Tons of good food at a good price! Plus, we had a great waitress. Can't miss!

Want slices for lunch? This is the place. They have some of the best tasting sauce in the cities. Great service too! Highly recommended.
