Astoundingly good pizza- perhaps thee best pizza crust in the world. The entire family likes Angelo's.

Do you ever feel like going out for pizza... in 1983? I do. Our pizza joints today, while great in so many ways, are missing a little something from that wood-paneled, plastic-boothed era. So go to Angelo's Pizza. The atmosphere is 1983 to a tee, from the hole-in-the-wall ambience to the pitchers of soda (no free refills!) to the no-nonsense waitress who will efficiently expedite your order, but won't kiss your ass in the process. The food is pretty great. As some have mentioned, the crust is nice: not thick or thin, but somehow crispy and chewy at the same time. We ordered the House Special, and it was loaded to the edges with toppings, though the cheese stayed in the middle, leaving the edge pieces almost cheese-less. That was cool, though, because it allowed the pepperoni to get a nice bit of char on the edges. At only $13.50, the 12-inch pizza stuffed me and my husband to the gills (and we're not exactly light eaters). If you order the garlic cheese bread, you'll be surprised, but not let down. It's not the standard toasted garlic bread; rather, it's a warm, soft loaf of Italian bread, cut in a few places and filled with garlic butter, smothered with mozzarella cheese. I highly recommend you spend the $3.75 to experience that.

Went here for dinner with the kids and hubby. The pizza was perfect and the service was great. The interior is a bit outdated but the pizza was so good we didn't care. Highly recommended! My only complaint would be that if you sit in the middle booths the cold air from the vents will blow directly on you. No problem for us as we got cold but just moved to an open booth in the back.

I live nearby, and often go to the steakhouse next door. The craving for Italian hit me last night, and with me having fired the only other nearby Italian place (The Little Oven) we decided to give Angelo's a shot. One thing we noticed when we entered, there were quite a few police officers. Apparently on Sunday and Monday, Angelo's has all you can eat spaghetti. I guess all the local patrolman meet up here for dinner on Monday nights. Good to know. At least I know my car won't be broken into! Anyway, we got a thin crust pizza and a large order of spaghetti with an extra helping of large meatballs. The pizza was AMAZING. I will be ordering pizza from here from now on! It's SO GOOD. Fresh ingredients. Quality sauce. The perfect amount of gooey cheese. It was great. Now for the spaghetti.... it was pretty bland. The sauce was red and warm. No other flavors were present. Perhaps, and I'm just speculating, they use a cheaper sauce on all you can eat nights? It was downright bland. No seasoning in it, no flavors. It really was boooring. Parmesan cheese and some garlic would have helped. We got it to go though, and didn't have any at home. We ended up throwing out the spaghetti and just eating the meatballs and pizza. The meatballs were pretty good. Like mini meatloaf balls. Overall, we'll be back for the pizza... still searching for a decent spaghetti joint on the east side.
