The staff at the Mongolian grill made it worth the trip to Mongos! They were super funny, did some cool tricks with the rice, and overl made the experience unique.

I have been to a few Mongolian grills and enjoy the way of making my own bowl. This place was a little unorganized getting started lines were mixed up. Overall service and employees are good

I am a fan ... build your own mongolian bbq style its my second favorite one that I have been to I have had good service even in the busiest of lunch rushes the options to build are gigantic and the food turns out fantastic. The cooks put on a great show the kids seem to love it and have always had things cooked to perfection even with the most odd combinations Two things keep me from giving it a 5 star 1) No liquor license I would really love to have a drink or beer with this style food it would be the perfect combination 2) The hours are a bit restrictive along the same theme would be great to have this as an option later in the night after being out (to a reasonable extent) Will go again!

Stopped by here on our way to the Twin Cities. They were closed for renovation, when we tried to make it there last year. This is just like any other "build-your-own" Mongolian style grill. Place was packed for a Sunday afternoon. Lots to choose from. Wait staff was really friendly, patient and courteous. Explained to us what our options were. Compared to other Mongolian style places I've been to, the cooking/grill staff were pretty nice too. All in all a pleasant experience.

I really enjoyed this place. It is a little expensive for what you get, but if money was not an issue, I would go back here any time! You put raw ingredients in a bowl, and you can pile it as high as you'd like. If you take pieces of chicken or something and line the edge of the bowl so it's sticking up, you can use that to make higher edges on the bowl and pile more stuff on top. It cooks down and fits fine afterward. Anyway, since it was our first time, the server gave us a tour and explained how it works. She told us, and emphasized how important it is to use plenty of sauce. "You can't use too much sauce!" Well, guess what? I was afraid to use too much sauce, and mine was a little bland. I asked the server if I could go get a little more of a particular one she had recommended, and since it would be a health code violation to let me take something from where the raw ingredients were and just pour it on my cooked food, she was nice enough to go get a cup of it for me and heat it up. I was very happy with the service. The people complaining about slow service were probably there when it was busy. Since they don't bring food out, servers probably have quite a few tables to handle at once. They only have two hands, and service may slow down a little when they are busy. Doesn't mean service is going to be slow every time. Service was perfect for us. (Giving tours to new people probably slows them down quite a bit too!!) I gave 4 stars because the portion size is a little small (I had plenty to eat, but no leftovers), unless you get an endless bowl, which is then way too much, and it's a little expensive. Also, if you don't cook much, it's hard to know what to put in the bowl. I was a little daunted at first because of the huge selection. But we followed the servers advice, and it turned out great. Another reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is no liquor license. Fine for lunch, but I like to have a beer or something with dinner sometimes.

One of my favorite places in St. Cloud. A lot of different options and the staff are always friendly and cheerful. Be sure to load up your bowl (I prefer to go meat/veggies, then sauce, then pile noodles on top).

Let me start by saying I'm not a fan of build-your-own stir fry places in general. That being said, service here was quite slow and the restaurant was extremely crowded and not very clean. They did however have a ton of options for veggies, sauces, noodles etc., but the bowls were so small that you couldn't fit that much food in them. They also have a Tully's coffee bar, but my coffee was SUPER burnt and again, service was way too slow. This place is about quantity over quality.

The food is what you make of it - lots of options. Busy almost always when we go there.

Been to Mongo's many many times and most of the time I have been very happy. Its a fun dining experience and very healthy too. Only complaint is, the chicken changes often and sometimes its really good and sometimes it really blah and bland and almost kinda gross. Consistency would really be appreciated to keep me coming back more often... I also really miss the asparagus. :(

We went here on a Friday for lunch around 1 pm. The place was hopping but beginning to quiet down. I love Mongolian BBQ and have been to a number of them. This one must have the most variety of meats, fish, veggies, sauces, and even dry spices! I, who likes to graze and nible, had two full bowls of stir-fry. Service was very personable. I loved my food. So why only 4 stars? No liquor license; not even beer or wine! And that's a deal breaker!

Great food, fun staff, and a free desert on your birthday.

I think this place is great! You make your own food... so you know exactly what goes in it and then you go eat. Great lunch stop :-)

Mongos is similar to the Mongolian BBQ places that have been in larger cities for years. The concept is simple... set up a giant buffet of raw ingredients such as meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and oils for customers to choose from... then flash cook these ingredients to order on a giant flat top grilling surface. The ingredients are abundant and fresh but I wish that they had a better choice of sauces and oils. Overall it's a great alternative to chain bar/grills like Applebee's and Friday's but is still very approachable for the whole family. I have to be honest that I don't come here often because I can make the same if not better stir fry at home for half the cost just by swinging by the farmers market on the way home from work and firing up my wok.

Mongo's is healthy eating in a bowl! (according to their slogan). Mongolian stir fry is one of my favorite, and Mongo's makes the top of my favorite places to eat. One great thing about Mongo's is that you can build your own stir fry. The lunch menu is a little bit cheaper because they don't have as many proteins out on the buffet board. Once you bring your bowl to the cooking area, you can add egg, tortilla shell and rice and have the option to put it all in a wrap if that is your fancy. The only downside is that you pay per the bowl, unlike HuHot where it is all you can eat, but I've NEVER even come close to finishing an entire bowl in one sitting. And the guys cooking the food are great, they will sing and literally throw a bowl of rice to each other! Oh, and if you need a new phone it is perfect to go next door to Verizon and come to Mongo's to celebrate! My reasons for not giving it 5 stars 1. Price. It is quiet expensive, stir fry is generally inexpensive to make. 2. No bar. I know they pride themselves on being healthy, but it would be nice to give me the option of having a drink.

The food is generally very good. The wait staff does a good job of keeping drinks full. Great lunch eatery.

Love the place! Good selection of meat and veggies. You select what goes in and they make it for you.

This place is great, for anyone! It allows you to try just about any kind of combination in a stir-fry. The price for the amount of good you get is also a great deal, and also offers a full soup and salad bar, for a higher price. All in all great place and a great atmosphere. One thing to keep in mind is that if you get the unlimited bowl meal, you cannot take the left overs with you, the servers do not tell you this until it's too late, understandable, but it would be nice if they told you that.
