Really good! First time being there. The staff members are super friendly and fun. My party got the Garlicky Muscles and The Orleans steam pot. Garlicky Muscles were amazing, and super garlicky, so not for those who are scared of some bold flavors. Also, The Orleans was really good. It included a pound of Crawfish (approx. 15), 12 Shrimp, and a bucket of fries mixed with hush puppies. It was my first time having Crawfish, and I'm a bit indifferent, but it was still amazing food.

Had fish and chips for lunch, a little greasy but ok. Huge portions but not a lot if flavor. The batter was super crispy. I had a side salad also which was HUGE. Sat near the bar so the bartender was my server he did a great job!! It's ok for lunch.

I don't get it... Why is no one here at lunch? I mean one other table! Who cares... I had the bottomless salad and bowl of chowder (exactly what you need in one of those 20* MN days). Food was great... Service even better (Thanks Jammie with 2m's and creepy manager guy).

Tuesdays are great here. Gotta love the $2 Tuesday specials. Hurricanes, mixed drinks, and savory appetizers. Did I mention the Crab Nachos? Yum.

Haven't visited for many years due to a poor experience at a different location. Tonight was incredible. The mussels were seasoned wonderfully, the calamari cooked perfectly and the crab boils perfect. Even the kids $6 meals were good. We had a great evening with the family. Nice job!

Service is good enough. Food quantity is nothing like the pictures they have one menu. By the way did I say you pay more than what you're getting at the table?

I've been here a few times. I remember when they opened way back when and the lines used to be out the door. My how times have changed. There were a scant few in there when I visited, all seeming to enjoy themselves. I'm not much of a seafood fan, but I ordered a fish and chips. It was good, but a bit greasy. The kids definitily enjoyed cracking into those crab legs. Although I don't think those were filling enough for them. Those yellow leg crackers had us confused too. They say on them "Stolen from Joe's Crab Shack". Is this an inviation to steal them? If it's an invitation, then is it really stealing? I'll leave it a mystery if we took them or not.

My overall experience is "meh". You may be able to spot the establishment from afar but you have to go through the back to get to the parking lot. The restaurant's style is supposed to be like a distressed crab shack basically. We were greeted and seated promptly on a Saturday evening. Drinks specials covered the bar area. Service was ok. The waitress wrote cute sayings on our bibs and put it on us. She never came by to refill our drinks but we didn't need it. She was attentive and very nice. The kids menu had 6 or so meals to choose from. The kids with us loved the food: fries, moz sticks, fish sticks, and popcorn shrimp. It was less than $6 per meal. The steampots we ordered looked plentiful on the picture (so we decided to share a pot per couple) but when we received our order, it was less. There were a few empty shells. The crab legs were juicy. The butter they provided was bland. It wasn't worth $25-$30 per pot. The sampler on the other hand was delicious. It came with 4 jalapeño poppers, a handful of fried calamari, and a side of baked crab dip with tortilla chips ($12+). Pass on the steampot and perhaps order something worthwhile and more filling.

We had reservations for a party of 11 at 6:30. Ordered at 7. Didn't get our food until 8. It was busy, but definitely not packed. About half of us had cold items on our plates, which we sent back. The food itself was decent. I had the stuffed mushrooms and lobster red fish. The coconut shrimp was good. In addition, someone in my party told the server it was my birthday, but the wait staff never celebrated it.

This place is so overpriced it's a shame. We stopped in on a Saturday for lunch where the place was practically echoing. After waiting for at least 10 minutes to see our server we ordered. The deep fried lobster was served with an over abundance of breading in a pile on the plate. The corn was bland, the Mac and cheese was flavorless. The second meal if coconut shrimp was average. Only the French fries saved this rating from a 1 Starr.

Typical chain restaurant goodness. I don't usually get anything except the personal steamed seafood pots, but we ordered some appetizers also for a change. Not much to tell, about what I expected. Service was friendly and fast.

Came here for an early lunch and was happy to not be the first ones at 11.10a.. lol! Seated near the bar and had a great time! The food came quick and was very fresh. For starters had the steamed shrimp and then a red snapper dish with dirty rice and veggies. There was some sort of alcoholic tea that comes with it's own take home glass - very cool! For dessert we had the key lime pie and wow.. what a yummy taste.. and it helped it was a HUGE slice! The manager (Nick) made it a point to check on everyone and was really friendly. Great place, great food, awesome prices..love it!

I think I enjoyed the crabs I had in college more than the crabs I had at Joe's. Graphic analogy? Perhaps. But suffice it to say this was the blandest, most boiled, tasteless meal I perhaps have ever eaten. Pick 1....your type of crab. I chose Queen. Stop the snickering. Step 2..,.pick your seasoning. I chose garlic & herb. My basket of steamed crabs had about as much taste as Glenn Close at this years Emmys. Bad. Just bad. No chunky lumps of crab meat. Just shredded, mealy little bites that fell apart upon hitting the drawn butter. Basically I settled for a 2 oz. plastic ramekin of my own table made crab bisque. Our server was a delight, insuring we had plenty of fun party hats and such as we are celebrating my nephews 8th birthday. Including the obligatory waiters singing Happy Birthday & a dance around the restaurant by my nephew with pots and pans clanging. Gotta admit I was kind of jealous of that! Tho we didn't leave "crabby" as we did enjoy ourselves, I'd wished I'd had filled my seafood craving and was not forced to reveal such private information from my past to make my point.

Went on a Tuesday night and they offered. $2 draft beer, Hurricanes, calamari, fried pickles, popcorn shrimp and hush puppies. Beer came in a plastic cup and apps were presented in cardboard but for $2, not the end of the world. Waiter, Christian, was excellent and guided us through the extensive menu. The portions were small for the $2 appetizers but were tasty. The calamari batter could have more spice though. The Entrees were huge and I think they were fair value for the portions. Really over cooked the lobster but the shrimp, crawfish and the Andouille sausage were spot on. The corn and Potatoes were also perfectly cooked. Casual is the norm and be prepared for bibs and laughs. Not stuffy at all so bring your good time attitude because this spot is about fun. Will return with big appetite.

Service was excellent - nothing to complain about. The food was just ok. Our table of three each ordered the steam pots. The picture of steam pots on the menu make you believe you're getting more crab than what you actually get. I also wasn't impressed with the food in the steam pots besides the crab itself. If I go next time I will ONLY get the crab. I would also like it if they cut the King Crab legs for easier eating but I don't know if that's just my 'princess' coming out.

I was expecting something akin to Red Lobster coming in and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. My wife said, 'give it five stars' , but A's aren't easy to get in my class. Tuesday is a good night to go. They had a bunch of two dollar apps including fried pickles, fried crawdads (we had both and they were easily worth the two bucks), popcorn shrimp, and 2 DOLLAR PBR TALL BOYS! The PBR's definitely brought in the hipsters, as one would expect, but this didn't keep the atmosphere from being fun ;) The service was friendly. However, when I called to make a reservation, and the host told me it won't be necessary, and I get there and had to wait for five minutes, it did make me want to leave. Lesson learned...I"ll make a reservation next time. My wife and I split the Lobster Daddy Feast (fire roasted) which was PLENTY for two. (this cut the bill down big time) It was a big yummy Lobster, a snow crab, potatoes and corn on the cob. The lobster was good, but the crab legs were memorable. We will go back again, and we will make reservations. We will likely get just crab legs (because they were that good) and we will also likely go on Tuesdays because who can go wrong with 2 dollar tall boys! Merica!

Food was decent. The service sucked but the wait staff and manager were super nice. We had about 4 items brought to us that wasn't ours, we didn't get utensils or side items with our food... it was all very confusing but the manager and bartender checked up on us a couple times and tried really hard to make up for it.

Not impressed. I used to go to this chain a few years back because it was local and something a little different...but this was my first visit in a while. Did I mention not impressed? I had my bar set low, as I do know that it's a chain seafood restaurant in the middle of the Midwest, but even I didn't expect this sort of blandness and shoddy service. We arrived for an early dinner (because we went to a matinee and didn't eat lunch beforehand), and figured the service would be great because there were only about 5-8 tables full of people. Also, my husband has always wanted to try it. The hostess sat us quickly, someone quickly brought us a bucket and menus, and we were on our way. So far, so good. We ordered the Great Balls of Fire for an appetizer, each got a drink, and he ordered a steam pot. I went out on a limb (against my usual better judgement) and ordered Cajun fried lobster. I'm not a fan of crab and lobster I have to crack myself, especially in places like this. If I'm going to go through the work, I want the payoff to be outstanding ;) Found out the happy hour prices don't apply to the dining room, only 'the bar'. One of my pet peeves for a CHAIN RESTAURANT. It's not a bar. It's a CHAIN RESTAURANT. Make the happy hour prices apply throughout the place. OK. Moving on. The Great Balls of Fire were OK. I liked them better than my husband did, but I'm a sucker for things with cream cheese. What was 'fiery' about them is beyond me, but I'll leave that alone. If that would have been the worst of the meal, then I would have been OK with it. Then, before we even finished half of our first drinks, the food arrived. That was quick! But cool, we were hungry. My Cajun lobster pieces were overdone and gross. My corn was flavorless. I had to ask twice for butter to add to the corn, because I desperately needed to make it taste like something. Anything. The mac and cheese was below average, and quite dry. I added some of the butter and some of the Cajun crumbs from the lobster, and that improved the situation. My husband's steampot was a joke. The crab legs barely had any crab in them. The lobster claws were average (no real complaints there). The clams he actually seemed to enjoy (which was good, because the pot was mostly clams). The sausage tasted weird, and the potatoes had no flavoring whatsoever. The corn had a weird brown spot in a couple of places, so he just threw that instantly in the trash bucket. He was especially irritated, because he had asked for the fries and hushpuppies, but got the corn and new potatoes instead. He didn't ask for it to be redone, because he thought maybe this would be just as tasty. Yeah, Not so much. :( We thought we'd take some of our leftovers home for our friend that is staying with us (there should be no complaints from him, right? It's free ;) ), and had to ask twice for boxes. While we were waiting for the boxes, we heard one table complaining about the crab cakes and a waitress stating that they would be made over, and apologizing for the problem. The table behind us ordered clam chowder, and their waitress came back saying they were so sorry, but the chowder was 'still frozen'. Eww. I mean, I'd be in denial if I expected everything at a place like this to be from scratch, but I wouldn't want to hear that it was still frozen. Plus, they didn't even offer them something for the problem! So...long story short (TOO LATE ;) ), I won't be heading back anytime soon. I now understand completely why they are closing locations left and right. Too bad. I did used to like them for something different. But honestly, $75 for this meal was WAY too much. I could get a much better meal at a dozen different places for that price.

There are quality and quantity seafood to be had anywhere in the country. As for Minneapolis, MN, I will say it...Most seafood places here that I have tried are pretty much 'bleh' for me and more about quantity over quality: i.e. any asian buffets on any given night. As for the obvious, seafood places - Red Lobster, Italian places that serve 'seafood', I can't stand it because the choices are extremely limited and seems to know only how to cook a lobster one way and love to over cook a shrimp dish. So where does Joe's Cab Shack comes in? I am not going to deny that they are one step away from being EXACTLY like Red Lobster. Joe's is extremely different in a sense that they go beyond the standard fried everything and steam only lobster, alaskan crab, etc...@ Joe's, they give you plenty of options choose your seafood meal. There is Duch's Crab, King Crab, Green Mussels, Scallops, etc. The menu is extensive and will probably please practically everyone...including my daughter insist that she wants pizza for dinner @ a seafood joint?! Okay, she is only 7 and I can't disown her just yet...yet. Heck, they even have 2 different size steaks that would put a smile to my dad's face. Hence if you are looking a place to entertain your family and friends. This is a pretty good bet because they have EVERYTHING to choose from. Note: I have read a few of people complaining about their meal...Look, if you choose a seafood dish that is meant to be steamed(Joe's specialty), guess what? 1) It is steam - Hence you might expect it to be bland compare to a butter/garlic stir fried dish. 2) You can tell them DON'T over cook it: you insist your lobster is medium rare. 3) Did I say it was steam? I love the servers here. They sing, dance, and go out of their way to make you and your guess happy. That is a lot more than I can say about 99% of the restaurants out there. More important, you don't have to tip them base on their sing/dance number...but the look on my kid's face is priceless... All in all, this is as good as it gets for Minneapolis on the seafood fan fair. More important, at Joe's they put up a lot of personality and charm. Yes, there are BETTER tasting and cheaper seafood places in Minneapolis. No, I refuse to call a place a good seafood place just because they served Walleyes...Yes, there are seafood market that have a fresher dish. Sometimes, you need a complete place with a big menu that you can bring your parents, children, other family members that you are NOT sure about, etc...This is a place for you. The day will come when I become a grumpy old man and go out only for me and I will probably give this place a 2 star. Until then, this place gets a 4 star for a good place to entertain my family and friends. One more thing: the carrot cake is CRAZY GOOD! I would go there on that ALONE. If you are from the south and have eaten a Publix carrot cake, this one is pretty d@mn close. No, it is still not better than Publix.

For some reason the same Joe's Crab Shack in Peoria, IL (the only other one I've been to) is soooo much better than this one was. Mediocre food and service. Plus there was a horrible smell coming out of the kitchen. And Roseville is quite a hike from Bloomington. We won't visit again.

Ok - THIS place Is greasy, overpriced and just gross. For what you pay you can afford much better quality seaFood restaurant . The fried food is greasy instead of crispy. The shrimp in the steampots are tiny, the sausage is uber oily. Never again.

I have been to Joe's 5x now and everytime has been wonderful. Go on Tuesdays for $2 hurricanes. But the shark bites are always tasty! Ragin Cajun is my favorite steampot and garlicky mussels are a delicious app. The emails are worth signing up for I received a reminder to make a reservation for Valentine's so we did. My boyfriend and I were seated at a table that was ready while others sat waiting for a while. Very fun atmosphere and well worth the price for the flavor!

We ate here last night, craving crab legs. Wanting something different than Red Lobster, we headed to Joe's. We were not really impressed overall. We decided to sit on the patio (not an option at Red Lobster). First thing I noticed was the cleanliness was sub par. Tables were very uncomfortable, and I felt I was sitting on top of our neighboring diners. From the ordering to obtaining our food, the time frame was pretty decent. We ordered an appetizer, and it was fresh and hot. Our main course arrived shortly after we finished our mozzarella cheese sticks. The crab was over cooked a bit. and I felt that we were not really taken care of by the staff after we received our main course. Ambiance 3 out of 5 Cleanliness 2 out of 5 Food 3 out of 5 Staff 4 out of 5

I was extremely impressed by this place. We went at 9:00 on a Monday night, so the restaurant was pretty dead. We did have exceptional service! Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and since we were first-timers, he made sure we knew the deal. Even the bus boy that brought us to our table seemed to know a lot. We started with the Great Balls of Fire-- deep fried crab jalapeno balls. Probably just about the worst things for you, but OH-SO delicious. They were served with a side of ranch and a pile of fries to boot. We actually ordered the same entree-- the Sunset Fire-Grilled Joe's Famous Steam Pot. This thing is tops. For $21.99, you get snow crab claws, dungeness crab claws, a spicy sausage, shrimp, red potatoes, and an ear of corn on the cob. Plus a side of butter sauce, of course. It was so good! The seasoning was really what put it over the edge. Our server told us that this was his favorite dish, and it didn't disappoint!

I love Joe's. I always get great food and have a great time. The service is always excellent, personable, and fun. I recently found myself in San Francisco at a specialty crab restaurant lamenting that I wasn't at Joe's. The selection is excellent. They have what you want. The servers are the perfect combination of friendly and fun without being omnipresent or pushy. We had one server remember us from months earlier. It's the little things that add up. On one occasion, my wife was eyeing a glass jar with Joe's Crab Shack emblazoned on the front. When our server came by, my wife asked how she might come by one of these wondrous glasses. The server responded simply "Reach back. Take it with your hand." Joe's also uses crab crackers that have "Stolen from Joe's Crab Shack" written on the side. (We have several of those in our collection now.) To those who believe Joe's is like Red Lobster, I don't believe for an instant you've ever been to Joe's. Joe's is a completely different place. Red Lobster is dimly lit and quiet. Joe's is bright and boisterous. Red Lobster is a stuffy chain. Joe's is a place that doesn't dare take itself too seriously. It serves equally well for romantic (fun) dates or large group outings.

I love their appetizers- "Great Balls of fire" or I like to call them "Crab Balls" haha. They are yummy goodness of crab meat & jalapenos? I also like their crab nachos. One of my friend's fave as well. I get the steampot snow crab cajun garlic butter. I think this place is better than Red Lobster since you can pick different flavors.

Unbelievable! I gave a 5 star review of this place 6 months ago but since then they have gone from hero to zero! It's true that anyone can have a bad night but no one should ever be this bad...... ever. The best thing I can say is that the food was marginal. The service and atmosphere were abysmal, the staff was not only slow but incompetent. Manager was MIA. UPDATE: I am adding to my previous review to say that this place may be slightly bipolar. Today we saw some of that old 5 star magic again. It was unbelievable! The place was packed but we were seated right away. Our server was Scott and he had our drinks in no time, ordering ensued, the meal was on the table in 10-15 minutes. The food was fabulous! If you are a gambler, you may just hit the jackpot if you stop in on the right night. Tonight we did and we will be back!

This was our first time at Joe's Crab Shack. I'll make this review short. You go to a restaurant to eat, sure the atmosphere and waitstaff can play a part in your experience, but food is truly what you grade it on. The food at Joe's is just mediocre and WAY!!!! to expensive for what you get. If you are going to pay that price for a meal it needs to be better than what you get from here.

My lobster was definitely over cookedmaking it tough and rubbery. When I pay for lobster (not often) I do not want it ruined by overcooking.

  • Mark M.

This is not for the gourmet. This is for the person who just wants a no-frills meal of steamed crab and/ or lobster and a cold beer. The portions are very generous for the price. If there is a better place to get a bucket of hot, steamed shellfish I would love to hear about it...until then, when I want to treat myself to a nice clambake this is the top of my list in the Twin Cities. Very laid-back atmosphere...

Over cooked lobster, crab and shrimp. They were unedible. I have never had seafood so bad. I ended up throwing the left overs in the trash. Dont bother with this place. Their ultimate feast. Was a waste of money.

This was our first time. I ordered the Bucket of Crab - King Crab Chesapeake Style and my husband ordered the Artic Bay Steam Pot. The King Crab was pretty good. I have had Alaskan King Crab in Seattle and I would say that is wasn't too far off. Came out in nice meaty chunks. Between the King Crab and the Queen Crab I think the flavor of the King Crab is much better. The order came with about one lb of King Crab legs (about 3 large legs). My husband liked the Artic Bay Steam Pot (lobster, three Queen Crab legs and shrimp along with the sides) but said he would prefer the King over the Queen Crab (which the waitress was trying to push on us). The corn was good, although I don't prefer the big shake of Old Bay on top of my corn, I would rather have it without. I didn't try the potatoes. The Crab was cooked well. The shrimp in the steam pot was slightly overcooked. The caesar salad was actually quite good. We ordered the 'side' salad and it was large enough for us to share. I would definitely return to the restaurant and would recommend the dish I had to friends. I can see why other reviews say the wait staff is inattentive, however before that, we were visited at least 5 times. After we had our meal, she only visited back once and our waters were not refilled. However, that wouldn't stop me from going here. Our bill ended up being about $66 for a salad, the bucket of crab and the steam pot.

This was our first time back since the restaurant reopened. We (family of five adults) were there in the middle of Saturday afternoon, and the place was almost empty. We had good, cheerful service, with a couple of missteps: the wrong beverage refill once for my husband, and two of our five orders were switched on delivery to our table (not a big deal). Our crab nachos appetizer was very good. Our entrees were good to very good, but the covered "beanpots" tend to steam the crab too much, so the shells are bendable rather than snapping open and the crab a bit overcooked. The deep-fried fish on my platter was excellent, with good-quality fish and a light, delicious batter. Our desserts (key lime pie and a s'mores "sundae") were yummy and HUGE. I was the only one who ordered alcohol, and it turned out that not only does the bar not have sangria, but neither the waiter or the bartender knew what sangria is.

Please STOP marching around the restaurant making noise and give some good service, Hot food and the idea you care more about my experience at your restaurant they having the floor show every 10 min. I love to have fun but my drinks are empty and want to order something else and I can't find a server that's not chanting and marching, I know why this store closed up .... why is it open again?

    (1)
  • Mark H.

No reason to go back -- now I remember why they closed down the first time. The food is only mediocre (at best) -- if you are in the mood for something fried, you are better off going to Long John Silver's. The steamed pots are WAY over-priced, even for the midwest. For some decent seafood, try someplace authentic, like Sea Salt or Stella's. Joe's is strictly amateur hour. The portion of the Joe's experience that has me refusing to return is the OBNOXIOUS antics of the staff. The place is so loud you really can't carry on a conversation with your table mates. It reminds me of what dinner was like at Senor Frogs in Cancun ... fun ... WHEN I WAS 21!! Now, not so much. It seems that all of the focus on the group dances and games comes at the price of service and quality. Grow-up, Joe's.

Horrible experience. Seafood is overcooked and everything is drowned in butter. I think there is a sanitary issue going on at this location as I got very sick after eating here. I would avoid at all costs. Atmosphere is horrible and service is poor.

  • Helen T.

I really like this place. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fun. I like how the staff aren't the typical servers and they try to have fun and make you smile. I think you need to be in the mood for an entertaining silly atmosphere instead of a serious one. They have a playground for children and that makes it more fun. This is more a family place and fun going.

  • Brad B.

Not a bad restaurant, sort of struck me as Applebee's interpretation of a seafood restaurant. I got the Beantown Pot and it was quite a bit of food. Two lobsters, a pound of clams, sausages, potatoes and shrimp, along with a corn cob. Needless to say, I didn't go away hungry. However, with that amount of food comes a rather hefty price tag. Not surprising, but an unhappy end to what was otherwise a pretty great meal. One note however, don't get the calamari. It's not very tasty.

    (3)
  • Rhonda G.

I haven't been here since it closed. We were nicely greeted on this hot Sunday upon entering this icy restaurant. Not complaining, just going sleeveless may be uncomfortable. The service although friendly was noticeably gone at times. It gave me plenty of time to read through the menu and we both ended up getting the fried shrimp platter of 3 types. I liked the basic one above the coconut and parmesean crusted. It had all sauce but tarter. It came with the worst coleslaw I ever had. It was so bland that I brought it home and salvaged it there. We started with fried calamari, breading is too heavy. We just had a much lighter one at Big Bowl that was awesome. Lousy fries. I got onion strings that are a big seller, but they still need to bring back the really good pyramid style onion rings, also. I agree with Tim, this place is loud enough without sudden outbursts, tourettes style of I got crabs. You can have fun at work without that nonsense. The whole scene kind of reminded me of the bar in the movie FROM DUSK TIL DAWN. Now that dancing would draw a crowd. I always loved it here in spite of all this. It's great for kids because of the noise level, and it holds their interest. I like the sturdy metal kitchen chairs. I like that I can get a bib, but the plastic strings are too short to tie right. The manager came around to check on us. So I'm glad this place is back.

I've been here a few times, today being the latest. It was about 3 in the afternoon and there were only a handful of customers, so I was surprised that the food took sooooo looooong to arrive. My friend an I between us ordered a salad, app sampler, and chocolate shark attack cake, which took half an hour to get to our table! That in itself wouldn't have bothered me as we were chatting and catching up, however, it was only about 65 degrees and it being the middle of summer we were severely underdressed. It was actually uncomfortable to sit in a long skirt and tshirt. My fingernails turned purple and I lost feeling in my hands, I am so not exaggerating here!! As for the food, it was mediocre at best. I will probably eat here again when I get a hankering for a cheap pound of crab, but I'll definitely be taking a sweater!

Second time eating here. NEVER again. Terrible food...Horrible service....very expensive. There are so many better places to spend our money. Please do not waste your money here!

I actually think this about a three and a half star place, but I'll lean towards four stars. It was really a fun experience, and the crab was great. Every server stopped by our table and visited with us, but I reckon we were the most fun table in the place! You can tell that everyone here really enjoys working here, and that they enjoy sharing that energy with the customers. The price was fair for what we got, and the eating experience was great. There is a very noticeable lack of selection at the bar that was a little disappointing, but if you get the shark bite drink you get to keep the shark! I would definitely say check this place out, especially if you are a seafood fan. It's worth the trip, tho probably not a weekly destination.

My first time at Joe's was supposed to be a fun experience full of celebration. Laughter should've been had by all, bellies full, 3 cocktails deep. Well.. my celebration didn't go as planned. I wasn't dissatisfied but I was minimally satisfied. The only reason Joe's gets the extra star was for our server. She was very attentive, kind, and graciously answered our questions when we had them. Let's go back to the beginning. We were sat immediately; the parking lot looked super full but it wasn't packed or anything. Our waitress came over right away... yeah it was a bit cheesy but who cares!? this was a celebration! We ordered great balls of fire right away (thanks Katie L.) They were so good.. it's a fried ball of cheesy seafood dip with jalepenos inside served with fries (surprise!) and ranch sauce. yum. We ordered our feasts before our appetizer came out and they came out way faster than I ever thought. I had the crab daddy feast and my boyfriend had the lobster daddy feast. Well you get an entire lobster. He has never had an entire lobster served to him. I guess we should've mentioned this before we ripped the lobster open, as lobster poo fell all over the plate and sorta grossed us both out. When our server came back to ask us how it was we asked her how we should do this and she explained. Thank you waitress! But he had to wipe the lobster poo off with a napkin.. we kinda wanted a new plate but I guess that wasn't implied. Now I'm not an expert crab eater either, but I know the concept... I struggled with my king crab leg and by the time I got to everything else it was cold. I guess that's no ones fault but my own. The feasts come with corn on the cob and 2 red potatoes too.. but they looked kinda gross. I had a couple bites from the cob but bleh... Just wasting precious time eating crab and eating it while it was warm. So long story short... our bill was $75 and my boyfriend asked me what I thought, because I am after all the one who likes seafood, I said, "I don't need to come back". Sorry Joe's crab shack, next time I eat crab legs it better be shipped that same day or I better be on an ocean. At least I know what I'm getting with imitation crab legs.

Had the Lobster Pot Pie... Terrible. Lobster claw was cooked past the point of being edible and was just a small inedible remnant. I actually spit it out. Pie itself was mostly puff pastry aka air. We sat at a booth in the bar and were served by the bartender, bad service. Why you would have your bartender picking up tables at 7pm is beyond me. Thanks to the server who picked up the slack, this star is for her.

I really liked the obnoxious servers (and they were obnoxious) dressed in 80's garb and their crazy line dancing but what I didn't like was the food. I had the snow crab and it was tough and stringy. I got a bland piece of corn and 2 unremarkable potato's on the side. I've had much better elsewhere. For the price, it's so not worth it.

Bad Food!! Don't make the mistake of telling them about your birthday. Red Lobster is Much Better than This.

Back again with the group - 9 of us. The food was ok , but I can't understand forgoing the drink service while the whole staff does the Macarana for 5 minutes. I like this place at lunch, but wasn't to pleased with the evening experience. Lots of families and kids though, and I imagine they find it to be entertaining. Sorry, not for us.

While it's got that corny mass chain faux rustic signs and wacky decor reminiscent of all fast casual food spots ("Got flair?") these days...the food is tasy enuff and reliable (especially with kids). No pretense, just buckets of crab and clams and lobster and shrimp at a fair price. Good for family and groups who want to get their grub on. Service was good enough. Drinks a bit overpriced and big and day-glo coloured, but whatcha gonna do? It serves a purpose.

Well I have to say this place is kind of a hideout, seeing as you cannot really see it unless your going down Snelling and looking. However the parking lot is very big, the people are very friendly, and the food is very good. Now we were there and there was someone that was very rude and obnoxious, however we told our server and they moved us away which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Now the menu is a little pricey, but the portions are so much that the bad kind of outweighs the good in this restaurant as far as from a price standpoint. they have excellent snow crabs, lobster, and Shrimp. I also like the fact that they give you a bib to wear because they know when you eat the lobster that juices may fly, also I really liked how attentive they were to us, and how after we ate the manager came over and checked on us, the only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because the Location, and the bartender screw up the bloody Mary, but if you want a change from your red lobster type restaurants, then this would be a change of pace.
