Among the steaks, you must stay away from the Applebee's Riblets platter as well as Bourbon Street Steak at all costs. Shrimp 'N Parmesan Sirloin is also not recommended. Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at Applebee's
It's an Applebee's. So yeah, it's pretty expensive. But I've eaten at quite a few Applebee's over the last few years across a few states (the atmosphere works for us, as we have kids and don't want to be "that family," so applebees is as close to fancy as we get when we travel in a pack), and this has hands down been the best! It has far far far better food than either the Apple Valley or Eagan locations, and the service has always been great!

On 10/3/14, ordered food to pick up online was delayed and got less order. Order was supposed to be ready at 6:40p got there at 6:40p order was not ready. The waiter came out to get my names to Go get my order. Came back to let me know that it will be ready in 30 minutes. Came back again as he was getting info from other customers at the same time he let me know my order is almost ready just working on mashed potatoes. I corrected him I didn't order mashed potatoes but 3 fries with my order. Finally he brought my order and we left. When we got home we were 1 less fries. Please when you order your food to go at this location be sure to check it before you leave the location.

They have some 2 for $20 specials. Also the 1/2 price apps and wings from 2-5pm or after 9 is a good deal. Food is good. Mararitas are yummy. Service is good.

The service here is awful. We've had several bad experiences yet I keep going back hoping for a better experience and even then it's mediocre. Just do yourself a favor and drive the ten extra minutes to Apple Valley. Always great service!!

There's a bit of a back story here, so please bare with me. I have never been a big fan of Applebee's, some years back I actually got food poisoning form one of the Iowa locations, I have felt sick after many visits, and most times I just walk away disappointed. A few months ago my daughter in kindergarden got a free kids meal from Applebee's for an excellence award, so we headed off to Applebee's. The salad that I had was terrible, actually, they were using a mixed green lettuce that was everything in the mix but the lettuce, and by burger came out way overcooked. After that visit I said that I would never go to Applebee's again, bare in mind I have said this before. For Christmas, my grandma gave us a $25 gift card for Applebee's and my daughter had gotten another free kids meal from school for an excellence award, seriously, I think that they must have my daughter confused with another kid. Well, a free kids meal and $25 off, low an behold, we headed off to Applebee's. I should probably say that when I go out to eat, I'm not adventurous about trying new things, 9 times out of 10 I order a burger or fish and chips, and I always order a salad to eat while I'm waiting for my food. You just can't screw these food items up, well, ok you can, but it's rare. Anyways, this particular trip to Applebee's I decided to be adventurous and try their new quesadilla burger, the menu description is as follows, Take your taste buds for a Southwest joyride. A juicy burger with our signature Mexi-ranch sauce with pico de gallo and shredded lettuce. Served in a mouthwatering Jack and cheddar quesadilla (contains bacon). I say that this was adventurous because it was wrapped in a quesadilla and not a bun, and I'm not a huge fan of spicy or pico de gallo. The food showed up to the table and I took a bite, and OMGosh, can I say AMAZING. By far one of the best burgers I have ever had in my entire life, (the best was the triple bypass from the heart attack grill back in 2010) and to top it all off the fries were crunchy for once, as they are usually not. I only give this a 2 star because of the many other disappointments at Applebee's in the past. I would give this particular visit a 4, only because the server had no personality and was not very good, but I still tipped her 30%. I will give Applebee's another chance to redeem themselves and another opportunity for me to add a few more stars.

I'm generally not a big fan of chain restaurants, particularly Applebee's, but my family likes to come here, and every once in a while I actually do crave suburban chain food, so I occasionally accompany them at this establishment when I'm visiting. I'm always a fan of spinach and artichoke dip, and the 2 (entrees and one appetizer) for $20 is a decent deal. However, the food is really just mediocre and the service always seems to be incredibly slow at this location. It's not a great dining experience, but it's fine for a casual meal out when you don't feel like cooking and you live just a few minutes away.

About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. Although the trademark dish Riblets is a hot favorite among regular Applebee's dwellers, the restaurant also serves some amazing burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salads.
