We ABSOLUTELY LOVE Wild Bills in Rochester! We have been coming since the day they opened here and the food is consistently outstanding!! The burgers are the best in town- yes, better than Newt's!! And the chix strips are hands down incredible!! The Sunday Brunch for $8.99 per person is ridiculous with amazing eggs Benedict, sour cream laden hash browns, crazy good FRENCH BREAD toast and plump sausages!! Plus, it's all you can eat- not to mention the $3 bloody Mary's!! So- outstanding food and usually great staff- we have come to know the managers to chat about some quality control but they are always awesome!! A few things which would make me love Wild Bills even more: purse hooks on high top tables- and BREWED ICED TEA!!!

Today's their opening day so I had to stop in for at least one. Ordered a domestic draft. Bartender asks "tall or short?". The guys next to me at the bar had one of each which looked almost identical in size. The "tall" isn't much taller. $2.50 for a tall domestic... not bad at all. I read reviews from the other Wild Bill's near the cities and am wondering if this one will be any different being in Rochester. We'll see! Lots of TVs and offer NTN trivia. One pet peeve of mine, I ordered a "Lite"(light). The bartender then goes through the list of light beers. I'm old school and believe that Lite is Miller Lite. Miller was the first to introduce light beer so they should get name dibs. Any other light beers should be called Bud Light, Coors Light, etc. but when someone orders a "Light", they should automatically get a Miller Lite. Again, just a peeve of mine that happens more than just at Wild Bill's... Other pubs too. Damn I'm gettin' old!!! (2nd visit) Okay... now for my official review. This time, a friend and I went and sat at a table instead of the bar. The waitress "didn't see us" so we ended up waiting a good 10 minutes before we received any service. My friend was having some tests at the clinic the next day so wasn't to have any alcohol so he asked about non-alcohol beer and she "didn't know". He asked about Odoul's and she didn't know if it has alcohol or not or if they even have it. (They do.) I found a coupon in the mail for 6 free wings. We split the wings with "hot buffalo" and they really didn't seem that hot to me. Tasty but not through the roof hot. My friend ordered the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza and really enjoyed it but said he was starving and would of liked anything. It looked really thin to me and maybe a little skimpy on the chicken. I had the Cajun Ranch burger and thought it was perfect. Good size, juicy, appropriately cooked, with plenty of toppings. Fries were just OK. So, as for the waitress... well, I'll just say not much upstairs but oh what a staircase! 1. She didn't know about the beer. 2. We waited for service. 3. She served us wings with only one napkin each (the one that wrapped the silverware). Had to ask for more. C'mon... ya serve wings... ya serve napkins. All in all, I'll try it again. The positive food and atmosphere balanced out the negative service hence the 3 stars. They're new so I'll give her a break but I hope she learns quickly.

Great place to get a drink or to watch sports but food is not as good as I hoped. It's bar food but I expected a little more from them. Wrap just wasn't great so I'd recommend sticking to the wings or something like that which was great. The patio is great and they have some outdoor TV's and outdoor bar.

Had lunch here the other day on outside patio. Great addition to the restaurant and great atmosphere. Service was good and waitress was as well. The food was served in a timely manner and was priced good. The portion size was perfect where I felt that I wasn't over stuffed or had to bring the extra home

Customers should note that this is indeed a saloon first and foremost. You walk in, and there is a small sign that lets you know to seat yourself. Thankfully I spotted the sign, unlike some of the other guests I saw throughout my meal. Some people stood around for a few minutes with no one offering any guidance. Another group flat out walked out, which I presume happens often. So we sit. The waitress seems to be annoyed that we order water, then asks if we want to see a food menu. Uhh, yeah. The reason I came was to try out their wings, which are 55 cents on Tuesday. Sweet. Only they're out of boneless wings...not sweet. We settle for bone in, and request their special sauce. Nope. The waitress even admits they have the sauce but can't put it on anything but the jumbo wings. Um, really? Fine. Whatever. We try the hot and Caribbean jerk and order a basket of onion rings. How do you mess up onion rings? Ours were soggy. Sigh. The wings were fine, I guess. The hot wasn't very hot, and basically tasted like wings with literal hot sauce and the jerk tastes like bbq sauce. The service was ok, but I probably won't go back.

This place has the quickest waitresses I have ever seen... and that's not a good thing. When you are asking a table if "everything is OK?" you should stop at the table... by the time "OK" came out of her mouth she was 3 feet past our table. Also, why so stingy with the napkins? It's a burger and BBQ joint... kinda messy - go ahead and put a napkin dispenser on the table or bring a stack. Bringing them one at a time is ridiculous. And why stuff all the food into one small plastic basket (gross), this is big restaurant not a road side stand. The burgers were mediocre at best, the French fries were sub-par, and the ribs weak. I don' get this place... its huge a space with a ton of small TVs. Why not a get a few big watchable TVs instead of 40 unwatchable ones that are the size of the screen I have in my bedroom? Nothing works in this place, it would be a perfect restaurant for a reality TV "rescue" show.

Erin was very accommodating. She went above and beyond to make our experience great. We came in to happy hour. One set of our wings were cubs. The manager.came out with a smile and suggested a free dessert . That was fastest. It was an orgasm in your mouth. Enough days. The end.

Went on a Monday for Happy Hour and Hamburger night. Despite being packed, the service was quick and attentive. Thanks for taking our advice from the last post. Their Happy Hour specials are affordable, the mugs are frosty, and the beer selection is impressive. Mugs for $3 to $3.75 till 6:30pm. We had a $4 appetizer, their Loaded Poker Chips, which both of us enjoyed. We both had their Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. The burger was cooked perfectly, had plenty of fresh veggies, and really hit the spot for my wife's hamburger craving. It didn't sound like a lot of food when we ordered, but we left absolutely stuffed. Our only suggestion (besides the ones posted prior), please offer a choice of cheese on the Cheeseburgers. The cheese we had was a melted Velveeta (I think). Some people will love it, but we found that it overpowered the burger and the bacon. All we tasted was cheese. A nice provolone or swiss would have really complemented the burger. Looking forward to trying one of their Sunday Brunches when my wife works nights.

Atmosphere is average. Lots of televisions, so a good place to watch the 'game'. Kudos for having the women's World Cup on with sound. BBQ is above average and service is above average. The chicken wings were okay, but the chicken tacos were very bland. The bartender that served me did not know how to make a Manhattan. Meh, you could probably find a better place in Rochester, MN but not a bad option within walking distance of Holiday Inn.

Came here for wings. Very impressed! Had 4 different flavors, all delicious, flavorful, and would definitely come back. Friendly staff.

Recent experience was much better. Service was much more attentive and Wild Bill's has really stepped up their food game. Had a great meal. Overall a very good experience.

Was in town for a Mayo visit, stayed at Courtyard and walked to WBs a couple of times. Sat at bar and service was excellent, beer cold, food good. Liked bacon cheeseburger and bone in wings with Bills sauce.

We went here with the family at 5pm on a Friday night. As soon as we walked in I noticed how loud it was in there. It's definitely more of a "bar" atmosphere than a family restaurant. If you want a relaxing dinner with wine I'd skip this place. The food was only so-so. Besides the cornbread I didn't find any of the food great. The portions for the kids meals are good sized....that may have been the best part about the place.

Disappointed. Frozen patties, overdone fries, pretzel bun bigger than burger. Should've known by empty parking lot and empty restaurant, even on Monday night football and place is loaded with big screens for full view. Not recommended.

The good: Free peanuts and the burger was okay. The bad: Beer was expensive ($6 a glass), the burger wasn't what I ordered, the onion rings (which cost an additional $1.79 to "substitute") were greasy and bitter, and the price was too high for a lunch (over $20 including tip). I don't care for the atmosphere very much as it is dark and lit mostly from about 20 big-screen TVs each tuned to about one of four different channels. The Halloween decor was half-hearted (none would have been better). Overall, an expensive place to eat okay food in a dreary setting.

I'm surprised that Wild Bill's has relatively poor ratings on Yelp considering how packed they are every time we go there (which is almost weekly - on Thursdays - boneless wings special!) I like Wild Bills. Ok well I like what I've had there. They have a fairly extensive menu and I will admit I have only had the wings and poker chips (see below). I really like their boneless (especially when they're cheap on Thursday nights) - I was not a huge fan of the regular wings. They had a unpleasant reheated chicken flavor... but maybe that was just that one day. I haven't tried them again. Their sauces (and wings) are similar to BWW. Some sauces are better than others, but that is mostly just a taste preference. I have had the Jim Beam Buffalo recommended to me by multiple waitresses there and they are right - it's delicious! We've sampled others and have been satisfied with those too. Besides the wings - I REALLY enjoy the smothered poker chips (potatoes). They are sliced potatoes literally smothered with queso (so none of this microwaved shredded cheese that some places try to get away with) topped with green onion and chopped bacon... yum!! Also they have a nice beer list and some creative mixed drinks. Their drinks are cheap. Another note about this restaurant is they frequently have some sort of special/deal going on. Hard to keep track of what they all are but still a nice feature! Lots of TVs, good atmosphere for a group but not too loud for just 2 people to talk either.

I had lunch at the Rochester location. First up was an appetizer. We ordered the double dipped onion rings and we were not disappointed. The golden brown batter was very tasty. Drinks, coke products my friends, so you know what I ordered, water. The service was average but experienced no problems. The main course was the bacon cheeseburger. The burgers are very good. The French fries look fantastic but I don't know what happened to the taste, I would choose a different side. The dining area was nice and I would have loved to try the outside seating area. Inside dining does have its strong side for those sports addicts like me, plenty of televisions! Bonus: shelled peanuts available before the meal. Memories of the original ground round where the floor is full of peanut shells.

Very good bar. You can tell that the bartenders and waitresses enjoy their job. Good food and drink specials. The bartenders are much friendlier than other bars I've eaten at. Every once in a while you'll have to wait a little longer than expected, but the food is worth it. I tried the wild bills stuffed burger and was not disappointed. Make sure Courtney is working at the bar if you want the best service ;) oh and don't be afraid to indulge in peanuts.

If I sat down and listed all my favorite foods and glutenous cravings, it would resemble Wild Bill's menu. They have great happy hour specials on food, and the wait staff was very nice and attentive. I had fried pickles, chili dog burritos, and a deep-fried cookie dough sundae. Granted, I doubt anything was homemade, it was still good and filling. I'm looking forward to seeing their new menu.

$5 Burgers on Mondays! Shelled peanuts while you wait. Great bar food and apps too!

Went on Tuesday night for their wings special. Loved their wings! Had Carolina BBQ, Cajun ranch, and garlic buffalo and they were all delicious ! I liked that their wings aren't fried with batter like most places. Onion rings were good but pretty pricey for onion rings in my opinion ($7)... Great price for the wings on Tuesdays though (45 cent wings ) Drinks in mason jars were good and fruity! Service was very slow and inattentive though.. Took 10 Mins to come ask for our drinks but hostess got us drinks instead cus our waiter was no where in sight.. Then he didn't come by for a long time while we tried to wave him down to add food to our order :/ friendly staff but very very slow service. I would definitely go back for their food and specials but maybe carry out instead!
