Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Nothing special, just over priced pasta dishes presented on plates to make them look fancy. Otherwise, nice clean atmosphere, decent drinks and service was very good.

Great service, great food and great for families. We have never been disappointed going to this location.

Last 2 times I visited this restaurant I sat at the bar and 2 different gals served me on 2 separate occasions. Both times the initial service was quick but they both fumbled at the end. For some reason, after dropping my check they both disappeared for quite a while. I had to wait to pay which was a disappointment. On the first occasion the bar tender went searching the entire restaurant for a mix up on wine. Not sure why she had to leave for a long time and make us wait but she did. The second occasion, When she served my breadsticks, she hit something and my breadsticks went rolling onto the bar. They were mostly wrapped in a napkin but the exposed ends touched the bar, she picked them up, said good thing we have napkins and served them to me anyway. I was pretty turned off by that. I also had to wait to pay and as she charged my card, she was talking to a couple at the bar and charged the couples bill to my card, when I pointed out her mistake, she had to get help to reverse or cancel that charge and also threw away the recipes I needed. You can imagine how much time started to pass by while I waited for them to fix everything. When she couldn't figure out how to reprint my receipt, she dug mine out of the trash and gave that to me. If you go here, try to go when Ben is tending bar.

It was kinda late, we were kinda tired/cranky, and didn't feel all that great - but knew we needed dinner. Finally agreed upon Soup/Breadsticks at OLIVE GARDEN!! We aren't from the area, and were happy to find an Olive Garden only a few miles away from the hotel, so we went. Love the decor of this location! This one is very nicely kept up. They've also got some things I haven't seen in other locations - kinda cool. We also had an EXCELLENT waiter - Dario. Props to him - keep doin' what you're doin' man. A great waiter with a super-friendly attitude. We enjoyed chatting with him. I usually hate chain restaurants, but for some reason Olive Garden just holds a special little place in my heart. I don't know why. I'm hooked on their Zuppa Toscana soup, and breadsticks with alfredo sauce. It's all I order when I go!

For some reason, I will not eat Olive Garden at home but when in another state, it seems much more legit to me. I'm like everyone else in the world who comes here for the salad and breadsticks. I don't know why that salad is so good but I could eat bowl after bowl of the neverending salad. Which is usually what I do. And then I never eat my main entree when it comes. This time was no exception. I loaded up on the awesome breadsticks and salad. Ordered the chicken parm. And had 2 pieces of chicken parm and pasta to bring home with me. I really can't complain about anything - the server was friendly, the service was good. The chicken parm wasn't greasy. There was a TON of food which made a nice 2 meals later on in the week. One of the better food options in Rochester.

Service here was not up to par.... Was sitting in my seat and it took over 15 mins for a waitress to take my order..... And they were not even that busy.....

Olive Garden always has good food and service. I like they have new menu items. The crab and chicken is excellent. Ended our meal with a mocha and zepolinis (?). Overall excellent meal and server!

Recently I visited our chain restaurant and was extremely pleased with everything. The staff, everyone seemed to enjoy working with each other and being at work. As I ate my dinner I noticed the changing of the staff. Everyone who came in, either got big smiles, high fives and some gave each others hugs. You could see them putting their coat away and visiting and laughing. I could see them having a shift meeting, getting the specials etc. When it was over they all came out smiling and went to their sections checking on everything. I wish the people everywhere were more like that. As for the food it's a chain so everything is the same, but that mango martini is awesome. (Only had one , driver that night) My food was served warm and tasty so I don't want to down grade food chains at all. I am yelping because of the staff. Just great.

It's Olive Garden, but one of the better I have experienced in the chain. The staff are great and the service is excellent.

In Rochester there are not much choices for Italian cuisines, Olive Garden is the place for consistent Italian food. 1) services is always good 2) food was ok, too much butter for my palate, 3) the ambience was great. So overalls was good!

I have been to a few Olive Gardens in my life but, this one has to be the best one I've ever been to. The food was great as it normally is but, to me what really stood out, was the fantastic service. I will be coming back again and again.

Food was awesome! It always is. That's why I love going there! However, this 3 star is given due to the service. Our server was Darlene and she did not represent Olive Garden well. I had my two kids with me to meet another friend and her two kids. The host staff sat us very quickly. The server came over after a few minutes and said that she'd come back after the rest of the people arrived. She could have taken our drink and app order...but she didn't. After the rest of the party came, we sat there again. That set the tone for the whole meal. My daughter and friend only got salad or soup/salad. With 6 people eating the salad, she never offered to bring another one. One of the kids pizzas came out long after our food came. Just...long story short...I stopped asking for things because we had to keep reminding her. She didn't care that we were there at all. I will be back, but I hope that I don't get that server again. This is the only one I have ever had a problem with.

Just got done having an excellent meal here. The food was amazing the service was amazing and our waiter Peter was such a great guy. I recommend the cheese stuffed ravioli! Will gladly go back here the next time I am in Rochester!

We ate here three times last week. Two were dine in and one take out. The food was very good. My wife really enjoyed the gluten free pasta with chicken. If your gluten free, you know how hard it is to find good tasting gluten free food. Thank You Olive Garden!

I like the Olive Garden, especially for their famous salads and breadsticks. Consumers should know what they're in for at the Olive Garden, as it's a classic chain restaurant. This location exceeded my expectations in service, particularly. On one occasion, I ordered to-go. I was impressed that the girl who helped me looked at the receipt, then personally checked each item in my bag for accuracy. What a nice touch that so many other restaurants and OG locations skip over! Some of my favorite OG dishes include the eggplant/chicken parm and their fettuccini alfredo. They have some decent lunch specials, as well as promotions such as getting a whole extra dish to take home with you.

Visited here on a weekday. Not overly crowded. I had the Italian samper. Another person in our group had spaghetti and the 3rd person the Fettuccine Alfredo. All the meals were very good. Plenty of soup and salad. Everything was pretty good until we received the bill. For 3 people including tip and no alcoholic beverages we paid almost $80.00. If you want pretty good food at a high price this is the place for you.

Great meal tonight! Haven't eaten at an OG for over 2 years and was very pleased with menu and food quality. I had salmon and broccoli off the gluten sensitive menu. There were several chances on this menu, which made me happy. Hubby had a stuffed sausage manicotti type of dish. Daughter had fettuccini Alfredo with grilled chicken. Son had ravioli. We all were stuffed!

Love me some Olive Garden!!! Me and my EX used to go here all the time, it was her fav restaurant so I must say that I was forced to go here a lot in the past and it had grown on me. Had not been here in a while and I sort of tend to be a creature of habit when it comes to ordering the same things at certain places. This day was no diff and I ordered my usual. Had the Soup (Chicken Gnocchi) and Salad and Bread sticks and it was good as ever. And for my main course I had the Steak Medallions Alfredo which tasted just as good as when I had had it multiple times in Illinois. Overall, cant go wrong with the good ol Olive Garden, love it. Our server was pretty money as well so kudos to her. If you like Italian this is a slightly above average place to grab some. Enjoy!! Cheers folks!!!

The last time I had lunch here, there was an overpowering funky smell as my friend and I walked in that raised a whole host of questions, beginning with who died? If you look around, it's clear that, just below the surface, this place is filthy. The food has its pluses and minuses but one must acknowledge that even the chains are worse in Rochester than elsewhere. An average restaurant here, like this one, would be out of business in a larger city in very short order.

Our visit to Olive Garden was just ho-hum, and pretty much what is expected from a chain restaurant. When we arrived it was lunch time, and we had to wait about 10min or so. It is always interesting to me that you have to wait for a table even though you can look into the dining area and see several tables unoccupied! We ordered the Smoked Mozzarella Fonduta, and it came with several pieces of toast/bread to dip in. The appetizer was very heavy, and you really couldn't eat much of it before just getting sick of it. Don't get me wrong...it tasted okay but just wasn't what we were expected. Also, since it is not continually heated like a traditional fondue, the cheese gets very hard quickly making it difficult to eat. My wife ordered the five cheese ziti, and I ordered the special which was the cheese stuffed rigatoni with chicken. Both dishes were just average, nothing to really rave about. My wife commented that the sauce on her pasta tasted pretty much like tomato sauce from a can. I tasted it and agreed. The stuffed rigatoni was good; however the pasta could have been cooked for about a minute longer. The cheese inside the rigatoni was barely warm. Lastly, we got two desserts to go since we are both dessert lovers! We ordered the black tie mousse cake, and the special which was the pumpkin cheesecake. I do have to say the desserts were excellent! Will we be back....hmm, maybe. There are so many places to choose to eat at, and I don't know if anything really wowed us enough to go back.

i know it's a chain, but the food here is above average and every time i've come to dine, the service has been stellar! A solid 3 stars for the food and 5 stars for the service, giving this olive garden a 4 star review!
