Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Went there at 7 PM, stood in line for 35 minutes. Servers were hyper and had to be told twice what I wanted on my burrito. Steak was chewy, and by the time I got it home, (5 minutes away), it was cold. Also ordered a kids quesadilla, and the cheese was not even melted. There are 2 Chipotle's here in Rochester, and this one is the worst of the 2. There is a Taco Bell next door. Next time I think I'll sacrifice the quality for fast service.

Something is drastically different with their pico de gallo. A couple months ago it changed. It is not nearly as fresh. Almost like they get it from a supplier and not cutting it fresh. Or if they've always gotten it from a supplier, it changed from them. Bummer!

I spotted the problem that others are mentioning right away after a 5 min wait to get in the door. Yes, at 7:30PM the line was out the door. The problem is that there are only 2 people on the serving line and one on register. 1 in the side prep area and another floating between prep and the kitchen. Management, check the size of the queue and change accordingly.

Waited for 50 minutes in line during lunch today!! I should have known better but by the time I decided it was taking too long I had already waited for 30 minutes and didn't want to go to the back of the line somewhere else. Bad decision!! I asked for the manager when I got to the register and when he came, he seemed frustrated. I asked him if he was understaffed or what the problem was, he said "we are not only under staffed, but the guy serving is his first day" - excuse me? Why would you put someone in the serving line who is on his first day at work during lunch time - the busiest time!! How about training him when there is less people! - Doesn't take a genius to realize that. The manager also pointed out that the owners don't listen to the complaints and don't want to help staff it. To be honest, the food wasn't all that great either. It's been better before. Things have changed. There are better options around town and don't have to spend my entire lunch hour waiting for food.

I love chipotle but this is the slowest location i have ever been to. We waited in line for 45 min at 7:30 on a Sunday, it looked like someone was being trained in and the girl at the cash register could not multitask....if its that busy there should be someone else to take phone orders. They had one person in back cooking food who was also the person in charge of cleaning so really nothing was getting accomplished, and almost all the meat was burnt. And on a very important allergen note. Its really important when a restaurant has an allergen menu that they are very aware of cross contamination. I am extremely allergic to dairy and i normally like chipotle because i know what i can or can not eat. But at this location after i got to the extras...tomatoes, salsa, corn, i could not eat anything. There was cheese dropped in everything in that whole area. If you have an allergy to any food i would not eat here ever. It doesn't seem like they care at all. Or bring an epi pen.

This is the slowest chipotle I have ever been to. They have lost my service on 5 different occasions the past few months because I knew it would take 30 minutes to get my food. Every time the line is out the door and it takes forever for them to make the food.... Usually 30-35 minutes when the line is long and never-ending which makes everyone crabby. The assembly line is not speedy, it's like they have no management on staff. If I were to go to another chipotle with the line out the door it would take 10-15 min max! Also, the last time I went the rice was not fully cooked. Please teach your workers how to move quickly and efficiently and staff more people per shift because you are quickly losing business.

Waited for 30 minutes and when we got up to the desk a recent call in order with 7 burritos took precedence, so I had to sit there and watch them make 7 burritos before they took my order, which they also got wrong. Usually I love Chipotle and it's super fast, but this location is slow and inefficient with poor customer service.

Slow and understaffed. 25 minutes to get from door to counter. Hardly fast food. This location has gone steadily downhill for the last year.

Good solid fast food Mexican ! Love the steak , carnitas bowl or burrito .... Chips and guacamole yummy. Very busy the last 30 minutes to closing !!!! Great and fast services. Good parking spot. Easy access .

Absolutely horrible service! Stood in line for 45 minutes. They only had 2 people working the line and both of them looked annoyed and were purposely moving so slow. I must've seen them roll there eyes a dozen times. I used to come here at least once twice a week and the last few times have been just like this horrible encounter. Never again..

If you're not going to serve carnitas. Take it off the fricken menu or cross it out!!! And put a big sign on the door!! Waited in line for 25 minutes to finally see a small sign at the ordering window that says you have no carnitas!! And the line should move a little faster when you have 10 employees on the line! One would think!?
(1)Emily Z.
Line is out both doors and the staff is moving like molasses!!!! They're lucky they work for chipotle and the food is so amazing that everyone doesn't walk out the door, although more than a few have. Maybe next time it'll be better. Disappointed. There needs to be a rule against one person ordering 5-10 orders as well. Not when there's that many people

I love chipotle and have been to countless different establishments over the years. I found this one to be on the slightly disappointing side. Though they are generous with their portions, the ingredients are questionable. The chicken is nowhere near juicy and tastes a bit off. It was also cold. Ew.The veggies were scorched or not cooked at all. If they address these two issues I will gladly return!
(3)Mika B.
This is easily one of the best locations for Chipotle I have been to out of roughly 20.
(5)Billy N.
Standard chipotle, parking can be difficult at lunch times.

This Chipotle is heinous! The whole place was dirty and the staff didn't seem to be listening to me at all. They messed up my order and both of the burritos we got feel apart! Go to the Crossroads Chipotle, the staff there at least manage to get the requested ingredients in the burrito without causing the whole thing to explode!

Great lunch. Very good service. I had a burrito bowl with chicken and salsa and tons of cheese it was really good and then of course I had to have a margarita along with it. Perfect for a lazy Sunday.

Chipotle isn't going to win any awards for authenticity but I can't tell you how elated I was to find that Rochester had a Chipotle because the one Mexican restaurant I walked into had cheesecake on their menu.

Awesome place for Mexican food. The portions are huge, the food is fresh, and the quality of the ingredients they use are top notch (antibiotic and synthetic hormone free meat and dairy, local and organic veggies when possible, etc.) I didn't used to care about that stuff, but watch the documentary Food Inc. and it may change your mind. Bottom line, I love the food and eat there all of the time. If you feel like carb loading go for the burrito. If you want to be on the healthier side, go for the salad (what I usually get). I usually get take out, but you can eat there as well. Although the restraunt is a little noisy, it's always clean in my experience.

Great tasting food, friendly staff, moved through the line quickly, cleanly dinning room. Excellent experience overall. I would return.

Erica and I love Chipotles! We have been to so many in different places and will go to them probably for as long as they are around. This particular location is part of a plaza that includes coldstone, panera, a video game store (I think gamester), and many more things. Unfortunately the parking is just adequate for this many high value targets together. Also the roads to get to parking spaces are often very congested. Putting parking aside, the Chipotle has ample room for large groups and has the standard decor which I personally like and have come to associate with Chipotles, but I can understand the other persons opinion on it too. My guess is that they want it to sound loud and busy with even a few people there... In any case, this place is very quick to get in and get out except during lunch and for a short time at dinner. Even then its faster than some places but not as fast as other times. My experience is that the portions at this location are a bit smaller than other locations but I have not tried to come just before closing as TKS has suggested may be rewarded with more filling. In any case, we love this chain and highly recommend all locations. I would generally rate it four stars but docked one for the traffic / parking situation.

Lots if food for a good price. Had a hard time for the people trying to explain to me what things were so I just pointed and it turned out well. Wish I could have half the food as threw away a lot and feel bad when I do that - will not be a choice of mine in the future

My wife loves their burritos, but she likes cilantro and I don't, and the rice in these babies is laced with the stuff. I usually enjoy her leftovers cold the next day, but when warm the cilantro flavoring is overpowering. The price is generally okay, but the chips and salsa are uninspired and overpriced. Whoever designed the interior of these places needs to go back to architecture school. The decor is "light industrial" and as a result the place is VERY noisy if more than a dozen people are dining there.

Burritos as big as my head and I've got a pretty big head... If you don't like it, it's your own fault because you're the one that chooses what goes into your burrito/bowl. It reminds me of a Mexican version of Subway. Definitely not authentic Mexican but still great. I also like the fact that they donate to our local swim club. Thank you Chipotle. Go Orcas!
(4)Brian M.
I have to agree that Chipotle has some of the best burritos around up here. I prefer Moe's but there aren't any Moe's up here so Chipotle it is. Who'd've thunk a place with burritos that good is owned by McDonalds? BTW it's more fun if you pronounce it Chi-pot-uhl.

love chipotle! i love thier chicken burritos and chips!

The best place to get burritos in Rochester.
