Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Good quality, large portions, right price. Your standard Midwest "Asian" take out. Nothing overly authentic but tasty and as advertised. Have never eaten in the restaurant - always get take out. Note: they only take cash/check!

Good place for lunch.

I'm just not pleased with this place. They have awards galore for takeout food but it's nothing special by any means. I love crab Rangoon but there's are just cheap breading with dried cream cheese. Rice is dry so it's hard to eat with chopsticks. Prices are good but quality is just not there.

This is your typical chinese food fare. Greasy, tasty, MSG-ey. Downside is no credit or debit cards--cash or check only (come on!).

China Star you do a pretty dang decent consistent job. This was typically our Chinese food of choice for grab - n- go take out in the area. They do have a nice enough little seating area on the side and I have indulged in there a few times but typically I just call ahead after work and get my hot bag of sweet-n-sour chicken for me and General Tso's for the hubby. This to me is more like fast chinese food and not elegant sit down but it filled up my belly and was flavorful and satisfying.

No frills, no adornment, just simple good old chinese at its freshest, yummiest and most sinful. We really enjoyed our meal, and the portions were generous and served hot!

The most fresh, flavorful, delicious chinese I have had here in Rochester! The Egg Drop is the best quality I have had in decades!!! They serve large portions in their combo meals and its always light and fresh tasting. No stale, over or undercooked here! I can't say the same for other China Stars in town...This one takes the cake!!

This is my favorite Chinese food EVER. When I say I'm craving Chinese, this is it. Sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken, wonton soup and crab ragoon. If only they served those sugar doughnut things, and took debit/credit cards. Bring your cash folks.

Have been eating here since moving to Rochester almost 8 years ago and love it. It is the best place in Rochester for "Americanized" Chinese food. Portions are huge and feed even the largest of appetites. 2 meals can feed my family of six (4 little kids) with food to spare. Favorites include the sesame chicken, beef lo mein, and orange chicken. Be sure to bring cash or check, no debit/credit accepted.

I ordered the House Special Mei Fun. Food was good; service was fast; price was reasonable. Good portion for dinner.

This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE place for Chinese food. i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I miss it every time I am away from Rochester and it is one of the first places I go whenever I am back. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! Just make sure you have cash.

Heard a bunch of good things and finally decided to try them out. Got the general tsos dinner combo with chicken fried rice and crab Rangoon. Chicken was crispy and flavorful, not really spicy though. Rice was flavorful. Great value in terms of portion size and price. Would give 5 stars if they took cards (I rarely have cash).
