Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Stopped in for a late lunch Saturday afternoon. There was one other person the the restaurant. Our waitress was civil, but not friendly. The food took a considerably long time to arrive. I ordered a pizza that was listed on the menu for $13. I asked if it was possible to have an item left off and was told yes. When I received the bill, I was charged $14 for the pizza plus another $1.50 for the item left off. No upcharge was mentioned when it was requested. $15.50 for a personal size pizza is a bit much, $33 for a watered down lemonade, a pretty limited menu, and not so friendly service = won't be going back. Too bad, as we were regulars at Birdtown Cafe, it's predecessor.

The Chestnut Cafe was our destination for a lunch book club meeting. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was so eager to please. Gordy and Jonathan Kruse have the ability to have a real gem here here. The food was tasty, people in our group had pasta, meatball sandwich, burger and the grilled ham and chheese with an egg on top. All of us were pleased and loved the little salad on each plate as well. You could tell that this is their passion. Gave it four stars because would love to see some specialty salads, you know how were girls want the most healthy options when we are out to lunch! (Honestly though it was fun to eat like we really always want too but don't because we "shouldn't"! This place is awesome and I can't wait to check out the breakfast and then the pizza!

Great menu, extremely high quality and good prices too. This is the only restaurant in the area that we go to when we are visiting from out of town. Fresh ingredients, greAt beer offerings, friendly!!!!!

New to Minneapolis from the West coast and wanted to try out a nearby dining spot. I've had a lot of really great food since moving, but the Chestnut left something to be desired. I asked for a medium burger, but received well done. Waitress forgot my drink and never asked if we wanted dessert ( we did, but hated to ask for it since she dropped our check off mid-meal). Food was decent, just not memorable enough to bring me back when there are so many good spots in the twin cities area!

Have had breakfast two times and dinner once. All meals were prepared with fresh fruits and veggies, and were exceptionally delicious. So nice to not have to travel far for good food and drink. If you haven't tried this place yet - I'd highly recommend it!

I'm giving 5 stars because I am blown away. I ordered the salmon dinner entree through GrubHub and the order arrived promptly. I don't generally like beets but the combination worked. The salmon was superb and the potatoes were delightful. Thanks for a wonderful meal. I am happy to have found this gem.

This is my new favorite place for pizza and beer. The pizza is very high quality and low priced. 2-4-1 beers all the time including Fulton and Indeed brews. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Go.

On a Thursday night, my mom and step dad decided a family dinner out was in order and I recommended Chestnut after seeing them recently open and bookmarking. Service was fantastic throughout. The restaurant is setup really nice and open. Walk in and it's cafe'esq with the front bar seating, and then a separate seating/dining area. Get seated and order up, here's the rundown of things ordered and opinions: Meatball sandwich - amazing meatballs. The bread was very tasty, but, we opted to eat it without the top bun or it would have been too bread'y. Balls were tasty, well done with great flavor and didn't fall apart. The marinara with them was a bit sweeter and complimented the salty/garlic balls perfectly. Spaghetti and meatballs - really good. Again, meatballs were the highlight of this show too. Noodles were done perfectly and not mushy. The blast of parm cheese complimented the sweeter red sauce perfectly. Braised Pork & Sausage Rigatoni - My step dad said it was one of the better pasta's he'd ever had. Great salty pork and instead of the sweet red sauce, a richer one as it was a creamy sauce. I opted for the 3 cheese stuffed chicken... which was amazingly tasty, but lacked chicken. Very small little quarter. Potats were great and the Buerre Blanc or buttery sauce that was surrounding was out of this world good, especially with the sweeter roasted tomatoes that came with it. Asparagus was done perfectly too, still with some snap but not too hard to snap. Just wished the most expensive dish, this one, actually had as much substance as the others which were amazing for the value (I think all were under $10 and this dish was $14). Overall, a solid new place in downtown Robbinsdale.

Cheap and fresh food. I've eaten breakfast and dinner here and both were good! The bbq cheeseburger caught me off guard--I should say pleasantly surprised-- because I didn't read the description and thought there'd be bbq sauce but, instead it was bbq pulled pork (brisket?). Would recommend for good food and good (and very fair priced) drinks.

Went in for lunch and the only menu available was breakfast. The only lunch we could get was pizza. If I wanted pizza I sure wouldn't have gone there. Won't be back.

great new cafe in robbinsdale. our sever was very nice without being overbearing, he was there to top off our coffee before it was gone. theres even parking on the street right in front of the building if you need that. we had the breakfast pizza and it was perfect, the crust was crispy outside and chewy inside. it didnt have cheese on it, i know " pizza without cheese?!" but it really was perfect, i didnt miss the cheese. we had the roast pork hash also. the pork wasnt great which is too bad because the pork was why i ordered it, the pork is on the menu in a few places and piqued my interest. the real star was the potatoes. the were roasted not fried so the werent greasy at all while still being crispy outside. the hash had roasted tomatoes and zuchini too and again it was better than the pork. they have a veggie hash on the menu too, im gonna get that next time. ill definitely go back
