Mediocre food, delivered 24hours. Not much else to say.

This place is strictly late-night feeding-frenzy fare only. If there are still other places open, you're probably way better off there. That said, American Pie gets some credit for staying open, delivering late, and delivering widely. I think I've only had their pizza once or twice, so I can't comment on that very well. Their burgers are surprisingly adequate considering they're of the been-sitting-in-a-styrofoam-container-for-40-minutes variety. I had a calzone from Pie recently and that was really a bloated mess. It was filling enough for a late night food binge, but it was very poorly constructed and frankly, just tasted like bread with pizza toppings in it. Not recommended. Their sandwiches are OK, but not recommended either, really. Their pasta is pretty bad; the meatball spaghetti I've tried was cringe-inducing. What American Pie does pretty well is the broasted chicken. The chicken dinners are very affordable and you get a pretty darn good amount of food. The wedge fries we had last time were actually still warm and crispy upon delivery, which was amazing. The chicken is pretty solid for late-night grub. It probably helps to have a few beers (or more) in you, but the chicken can really hit the spot. I'm going with two stars because on the whole, Pie is pretty awful. For the zombies who inhabit post-11pm Minneapolis, though, it proves essential. They have a big menu, and only some of it reaches A-OK status. Yet, they definitely serve a vital need in the area. Also, the first time I ordered here, I had a coupon for a free American Pie shirt. It's totally hideous, and I only wear it for outdoors activities like camping, etc., but that is pretty cool to get a free shirt with a pizza.

So it was our last full day in MN...so we just decided to have some pizza and relax. So we see a joint called American Pie (sorta made me think of the movie at first, lol) We didn't know if its was a dessert pie place or what. We then noticed its a pizza place. So we went inside and ordered their special, 14" 2 topping for around $9 - good deal! We were going to eat inside but it was real hot and there were only 3 tables so we just got the pie to go and took it back to the hotel. Delicious thin crust and lots of cheese (unlike most pizza joints in CA) we got the Hawaiian style and also got a side of cheese curds - never heard of such a thing before but they are just like cheese sticks but smaller. Tasty. This place is open till 3 am and they deliver. Man Ill miss this place...

My husband and I had pizza from here for the first time this weekend and were very pleased. We ordered a bacon, pepperoni, and onion pizza and it is served on a thin crust (Not too thin) and has a lot of flavors. We've been accustom to Pizza Luce and I have to say that the flavors at American Pie were more robust and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning!

Ordered a calzone which was pretty good sized and the ingredients I ordered were nice too however the sauce will make your a$$ pay for it the next day...a little too spicy for my taste.

Who cares if they r open 24/7?!? Convenient when wasted very possible, but eating this food sober n starving didn't help their situation. The only place in the area that was basically open after 11, so choices were limited. One of my fav apps that I always need to get is fried cheese curds! Yes they r not good for the abs but if it's in moderation I find it justifiable! :) Curds are basically an upgraded version of mozzarella sticks, usually bc they r fresh not frozen in the Midwest. Not a lot people know about them outside of it either but here at American pie they resembled mozz sticks bc they serve them with marinara sauce. Really? Get more creative with yo sauces... Now thinking being from Chicago I'll pass on ordering from a late night pie joint. I decided to order a hoagie. Yes it's an east coast thing, but I'm just winging it at this point. I asked for grilled chicken hoagie n supposively the person taking my to go order said it comes with their housemade Italian dressing. I'm like solid i can appreciate homemade sauces! I was extremely dissapointed in first bite it was sliced chicken breast n not grilled. 2nd was the dressing very bland n sandwich was sloppy with the amount it was drenched in. Late night food yes, but would only eat this wasted! In all honesty what don't u eat wasted?!? Lol

They always come through. Hoagies, pizza and the big burger are my faves. You cant beat their service AND THOSE BEAUTIFUL 24HOURS of open!!

I decided to give American Pie a try after driving by it about 1000 times on Nicollet Ave in Richfield. What I have to say about this place is pretty short and to the point. If it were 2 o 'clock in the morning and I had a sweet buzz going, I would think American Pie made some pretty good pizza. However, at 6 o'clock totally sober on a Thursday night i'd have to say I was less than impressed. If you're looking for a sit down and get the royal treatment establishment, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a down and dirty, no muss, no fuss, good for take out place than head to American Pie. Overall, the pizza was your pretty average run on the mill thin crust. Nothing note worthy about their toppings and sauce, but I wouldn't say it was bad, just unremarkable. Take out and delivery are definitely the way to go since you're not going to get much love if you dine in. The good news is they deliver till 3 am and have a wide delivery radius.

Open and delivering till 3am is definitely a plus. i'm in a hotel in minn after a horrific flight delay with delta, too tired to go find anywhere to eat, and not a fan of Dominos, so i give this place a call. the name makes me smile and hum my fave song. i opt for the thick crust pepp pizza in a small size.it' good, but not great- the crust isnt that thick and it's spicy. delivery time was good and the guy was friendly. i like the choice of sizes, so you're not stuck with a lot of extra. the mr. pibb was a special treat as we don't have that brand in new england.

Ordered online and it was easy, I even had a coupon for a free appetizer. Delivery was about 45 minutes which wasn't bad considering I'm near the outer edge of their delivery area, in South Minneapolis. Ordering online I didn't experience any customer service on ordering, but the driver was a really nice guy, even made sure my kitty didn't run out the door when I opened it. Don't let the average rating scare you. BTW, when I clicked on the link to order online here through Yelp it told me online ordering wasn't available, but if you go through their website you can order online. We ordered onion rings and cheese curds. Neither were bad, but not awesome. I'm guessing they are fried from frozen, but I do prefer battered onion rings, which these are. They'll do.The ranch that comes with the onion rings is in a packet that comes in the box with the rings, which I had to laugh at because the packet said "Hidden Valley Ranch" and then had "refrigerated" in italics, yet the packet was hot as hell after sitting in with the rings. I had a pepperoni and mozz calzone and I really liked it. The sauce has a little kick to it and it was just enough. Crust is good. Only issue is I ordered extra cheese as one of my ingredients (you get 2) and what I got makes me hope they either forgot to put extra or they skimp on cheese if you order 2 other toppings. My brother ordered a hoagie, which I meant to try but was too full, but he says it was good, and I trust that. He upgraded to the wedge fries and homemade dip and liked them as well. I'll definitely order again, a calzone for sure and I'd like to try their pizza. Major plus that they deliver 24 hours, to a fairly large area, it's the only option in my 'hood for anything later than 10pm.

I ordered a pizza when I was staying at the Embassy Suites in Bloomington I was told 45 mins for delivery needless to say 1 hour and a half no pizza! They were recommended by the front desk as well. Had two kids go to bed without their pizza because they could not stay up any longer!

My friend brought us takeout from this place, and it's pretty much a "you get what you pay for" kind of place. I got the reuben, because when there's a reuben on the menu I'll always get the reuben. It wasn't amazing, but it was the kind of greasy deliciousness any good bar in Wisconsin would serve. Being from Wisconsin, I heartily accept and endorse large servings of greasy food for cheap, which this place has in spades. It came with potato chips and a giant, warm, soft cookie. That cookie was amazing, and I definitely ate it first. In fact, I ate all of it, and promptly fell into a bit of a food coma. This place is perfect to get food from for a binge-watching night in.

We ordered here again our second time coming to Minnesota due to the heavy traffic outside our hotel. We weren't crazy about the pizza last time, so we decided to try something different. We ordered an appetizer of the breaded mushrooms ($6.99) and the 6 piece broasted chicken dinner which comes with 6 pieces of chicken and a double order of wedge fries, garlic bread, and cole slaw for $16.99. They told us about 40 minutes (which we expected since they told us that last time). I actually looked up the place and found out that even though LaQuinta Inn advertises American Pie Pizza, it's actually quite far away. Anyway, our food got there by the 40 minute time limit. The breaded mushrooms were okay for me, as I thought the breading was kind of thick, and for the amount we got, I didn't think it was worth $7. The broasted chicken dinner was delicious. I usually am not a huge fan of wedge fries but their wedge fries were good. Cole slaw was delicious as well. They give a generous portion of garlic bread, two big slices of garlic bread for each order (since the 6 piece dinner comes with a double order, we got 4 big slices of garlic bread). We were happy campers when we were done eating and would probably order here again due to convenience and good food.

We ordered two cheese breads, one pepperoni and sausage, one half pepperoni half sausage mushroom. We got one cheese bread, one chicken BBQ, and one deluxe pizza. Close enough? Not really But who's counting. Then it was terrible. However, was the only place we could find open at 2:30 in the morning. Minnesota: you're worthless. Go Pack.

My second favorite pizza place. (I slightly prefer Pizza Luce because their menu is much friendlier to vegans/vegetarians.) Everything I've ever had here has been amazing. Luckily, I haven't run into the customer service problems My only problem with it is that it's a little on the expensive side. While you can eat in, it's a very small store and I've always ordered delivery or carryout.

They have very very good pizza very good ingredients. I have never had a pizza that was not good. I've been going to this pizza place for 10 years. I've never experienced anyone being rude to me but one day my husband went in there for the first time 2 years ago and rang the bell and the manager or owner came out and was very rude yelled at my husband and told him to stop ringing the bell which he only rang twice. My husband had stood there for 10 minutes and nobody helped him. My husband did not yell at this person all he just said is that he was waiting for 10 minutes and the owner or manager snapped on my husband and told him he has no business ringing the bell and my husband told him I only rung it because I was getting no help and that's when the manager proceeded to make his statement and say you need to take your butt over to Little Caesars for now on. My husband walked out and we stop getting their pizza. As badly as my husband was treated for no reason we should never be buying anything from this establishment but their pizza is good and they're the only pizza place in the neighborhood that is really decent. The owner or manager that was rude to my husband really should be apologizing to my husband and I feel when you are that rude to a customer you need to step down as owner or management. We will continue to go as long as it never happens again. The sad thing about this review is, I can't even complain about the food.

Was our only late night option from our hotel our order was correct but five minutes late. Phone staff was a bit rude and hold times were longer than expected for 2am on a Thursday. Pizza was ok thin crust good amount of meat toppings skimped on the veg toppings. Over priced for what it was. Mini donuts were sub par. Over fried and greasy gross. Won't order from here again. The delivery man was nice and polite however.

My boyfriend and I went here super late and starving after driving around for an hour trying to find something to eat. We fell in love with the food and the extremely nice people working there. We got buffalo wings, southwest egg rolls, a philly steak sandwich and a small gourmet chicken pizza. It was all amazing and delicious! Very affordable place as well, which makes it even more worth while to go to. I definitely recommend everyone to go here and try it out!

If I could give a negative star I would. Coming from the west coast and a city w every great chef in Vegas and some of the best customer service, I was extremely appalled by this whole establishment and the owner. My poor husband who had been at the airport for numerous hrs was derailed to St. Paul until the next day. They were starving and called the only place available but american pie. They ordered pizza In front of personnel at the hotel as witnesses and they confirmed the order. When called to correct the issue. They Decided to call my husband a liar and and a$$hole and to hang up on him with me in the phone. My hubs asked not to place olives on his pizza bc he was that allergic to olives and to not put them on his pizza . They Got a pizza w olives and was a blamed after. I hope no one eats at this place and this place shuts down. Don't eat here but run.

Their pizza has excellent amounts of toppings. They don't go skimpy on them. The reuben pizza is unbelievably good, The calzones are delicious, I like the sauce, you get a lot for the money. I haven't tried the sandwiches yet. They deliver, but since we live so close we pick up the order. The staff are always polite.

I called American pie for a food delivery and the employee who answered was very rude and unprofessional..I asked to pay in cash and when the delivery driver came he had no cash and was also not very polite about that so I had to overdraft my account...I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a chicken strip basket for my sister..the pizza tasted like a microwave pizza and was cold when it got here but that doesn't matter... But 30 minutes after my sister ate the chicken basket she started getting sick and began throwing up so we took her to the doctor and he confirmed it was food poisoning. So it was a all around horrible experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone..

AWFUL!! TERRIBLE Service. I ordered 3 pizza's and cheese curds. The hotel we stayed at recommended American Pie for late night food. Only two of the pizzas arrived. The delivery guy assured me he simply forgot the 3rd pizza and it was on it's way. We were in the lobby eating, he came back, still no pizza. After we finished the food that did come we realized the 3rd pizza wasn't coming. I called to ask to have the 3rd pizza taken off my bill as it hadn't arrived. The guy on the phone was BEYOND rude and insulting. He refused to take the 3rd pizza off and continued to insult me. I went back to the hotel lobby (pizza still hadn't come and it had been 2+hrs since the original order) to explain the situation. They called to ask to have the 3rd pizza taken off the bill and were told that would be taken care of. A week later, the pizza was still on my bill. I called and spoke to a manager during the day, he said he'd look in to it and get back to me, and another week has passed. I now need to do a credit card dispute for something that should have been an easy resolution. Oh yeah, and the pizza SUCKED! Really bad pizza. The toppings were crusty and hard. Just gross. If i could give this place 0 stars, I would. Rude, insulting, and bad food. Losing combo!

We've ordered delivery from here many times and have had their burgers, pizza, chicken, and pasta. It's great food at a great price. Today we ate there and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive, even with orders rushing out the door every ten minutes. It's especially satisfying for a late meal when everything else is closed. :-)

Solid late night pizza. You are not going to wow your taste buds but at 3:30am your other choices are slim to none. I have ordered a couple times late night and staff on phone was friendly, driver was friendly (sorry about basically falling asleep after ordering and you having to pound on the door) and the pizza was hot. But...it was pretty average. Anyone who went to Mankato State, I liken American Pie to Garys Pizza...great when drunk but sober...not so much. Also, the pizza sauce has a kick to it...I like it but some probably will not

Let me tell you about AWFUL customer service... We order from this place at least twice a month. Lets be honest the food is pretty decent for a place that delivers late. We order THE SAME thing every time we get delivery. I am a strong believer in tipping heavily so I always get the same delivery guy. He knows us. Tonight was different. I call and place our usual order... bacon cheeseburger with pepper jack. The girl on the phone names Kesha is RUDE. She charges my card and says it will be 45 minutes. She then calls back ten minutes later and informs me she forgot to apply our coupon and needs to void the transaction and recharge my card. I was a little annoyed but I understand mistakes happen. Then she lets me know that my voided charge will take a few days to refund. UGH. Whatever. Our order arrives. I am HUNGRY. I am so excited for my delicious burger. I open it up and where the hell is my bacon. I must say I am a bacon lover and just had a rough pregnancy where I couldn't eat bacon. It was a long 9 months and this mama wants her damn bacon. The worst part is that in place of my bacon there are onion rings and thousand island dressing. Unacceptable. Again, mistakes happen. My boyfriend (who was sitting next to me) managed for a pizza delivery place for years. He suggested I call and inform them of the mistake. I hate complaining so I asked him to call. Kesha answered the phone again. She was crabby again and put him on hold. After a while Brian got on the phone. He immediately got defensive and raised his voice. Arguing about his order. Informing my boyfriend what we ordered and saying that they explained the burger in detail (which NEVER happened...). THEN HE WAS SWEARING AT MY BOYFRIEND. My boyfriend never even raised his voice so I have no idea why he was swearing. My boyfriend asked why he was being rude. My boyfriend then asked for his name (BRIAN) and said that tomorrow morning we were going to call and speak to his manager. Want to know Brian's response?! "Great, you can tell him what an ASS HOLE I am being!" Stay classy, Brian. All of this and you could have just credited us a free cookie or said you were sorry for the mistake. Never again, America Pie.

This is a great place to order from especially when it's late and everything else is closed. This is my 3rd trip to Minneapolis in the last month and so far is one of my favorite places. I love how the pizza has a spice to it and the hamburgers are greasy and yummy. And of course the delivery people and the people that take the order are friendly.

I'm surprised this place has three stars review. I ordered a calzone from here around 1 am after a long day of traveling. I really enjoyed it and almost got a second one. For a 24/7 pizza joint this place is the best. I'll definitely be stopping by here again. Keep in mind this isn't a top of the line fancy pizza spot. It's the kind of place you order some great pies for a family get together. It is what it is. Don't go in expecting fancy. For what it is its five stars.

We've only gotten the actual pizza from American Pie once; it was just OK. The real reason we keep ordering from this place is that they've got a huge menu, some of which is pretty decent. I like the broasted chicken dinner, and those breaded mushrooms. I don't like the fact that the "ranch dip" for the mushrooms is just salad dressing in a little packet, but hey. It's better than a sharp stick in the eye. Overall, the food is a little pricey, the delivery charge is $3, and it's hit-or-miss, quality-wise. But you can order online, and the drivers are always really friendly. Bottom line: this is our go-to option when we're too lazy to cook or even get in the car and go some place. But it's not our favorite place for dinner by any stretch of the imagination.

I have been staying at the Bloomington, MN La Quinta for a long time client in town. Most evenings are booked with client dinners - had an open evening today and tried delivery. (This AP is the "official" room service provider for this LQ property.) I ordered a small serving of spaghetti & meatballs plus apple pie for dessert. Paid by credit card. Delivery was scheduled for 45 minutes. Delivery was exactly on time. Food is very good - it was tasty, fresh, hot. Friendly delivery staff. I loved that I could add the tip to the CC slip (so didn't have to dig into the wallet for cash for the tip). Definitely a good deal, easy and delish. Try 'em!

Just had the most amazing medium pizza from tis place at 11:30. Do not recommend to eat while driving, because the steaming hot sauce will actually fog your windows while you are attempting to stuff your mouth with the juicy wonderful mess that is this pizza. You a sauce guy? This pizza has some friggin sauce. So much sauce. You a cheese guy? Tons and tons and tons of wonderful cheese. This tops papa johns, (although the price is a little high). I at half of it while barking orders to Siri to get back to my hotels recommended for any corporate meal card holder. Great, nice guys there. Don't let the location fool you into thinking this is low-quality pizza. This is some good grub. Ok now go and enjoy.

It's all about two things. Delivery. Late-as-eff. Using those as starting criteria, let's look at the situation. Buffalo Chicken pizza. Awright, I'm paying attention. Wings: fail. But that's what I get for even thinking about things other than pizza when it's called American PIE. Why even bother beyond this? other options: Domino's (no) Luce (never as good five minutes after you leave Luce) Lake Harriet Pizza (ew and likely closed by that time of night) Papa Johns (not even if starving) This is some epic late night pizza win. This pizza itself is middle of the road - don't get me wrong. It's thin crust. It's OK. I can make better with a pita and some stuff from my fridge, but there are times, friends, where that is not something you want to do or something you are capable of doing safely, if you get my drift. I would probably never bother with American Pie as a sit down experience or rate it favorably as such. Context is king here - so if you need delivered NOW, this might be your new best friend.

Our coworkers love reuben pizza. Out of the curiosity I order it, turn out it is delicious, thousand island dressing, saurkreut and corned beef, I wish more corned beef though. The cost is $10.99 enough for 2 people. And people order this pizza order this again. A few weeks ago I tried their sandwich, it's funny it was on the burger bun and with $3.99 I got a bun, beef patty and swiss cheese, that was it. No dressing, no lettuce or tomato, dry as could be, but taste pretty decent. They called it swiss delight. But I think the pizza is the hit. I heard their veggie pizza and taco pizza also good. What I love also their crust and topping are not greasy. One other plus one of coworker wants reuben calzone, they don't have it in menu but they make it for her and she loves the calzone. Definitely this place will hear more calls from our office :)

Well this was my first Twin Cities pizzeria I've tried. Very Very impressed. This is just what I want for a ma and pa type pizza. Great thin crust, cheese is thick and has a great consistency. Both times I've ordered I have had the "Gourmet Chicken". Alfredo Sauce Base, Garlic Chicken, Pepperoni, Bacon, and Crushed Red Pepper. The sauce is light and not over-bearing, topping are plentiful, and the bacon extra cripsy. Definitely will recommend.

Eeeehhh...I might try this place once more as I tried the calzone & pasta so to be fair I should try their namesake. This experience started out poor when it took me a few minutes to get to the door, since I was in the basement ,and the delivery dude laid on the doorbell, uncool. All in all it was a mediocre performance. I did see they are open 24-hours/day...interesting.

I work overnights in a hotel and American Pie is open and delivers till 3am---they have saved me from a night of hunger many times. They're fast, their food is delicious, and they have an amazing selection for being a quick-service *note, not fast food* establishment. I order them frequently and my food is always fresh and my order is always correct. If you're looking for a delicious, late night meal, I would recommend them. They have pizza, pasta, salads, chicken, sandwiches, and appetizers. You really can't go wrong.

The owner needs to open his eyes and realize the trend. By far the WORST service I have received from food service. Nice to know you will takes someones order and credit card info, and not call the right phone number when you are at your delivery destination, and then leave your pizza on the dirty floor for the customer to find the next morning while leaving the apartment building. And to add a cherry to it all you are refusing to refund our money back. The general manager joe said anything after 2am is fair game, and that my boyfriend, the customer, needed to admit that he was at fault for this situation. I have read MANY other reviews from other sites and even just written in the last month with similar situations, all involving child like, rude, customer service lacking MANAGERS. It was also noticed that joe's breath smelled very strongly of booze. Something needs to be about this recent reoccurring problem with this location. We even contacted the Minnetonka location about the problem and even though they are a different franchise owner THEY offered to deliver to us for HALF OFF to make up for Richfield locations slip up. We will drive the extra mile to Minnetonka after hearing all of the bad reviews including my own experience, you should too!

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

(2)Su R.

So i had the 12inch chicken alfredo i think so bomb! And plus we got a free pop! Super nice customer service. We. Ate inside small just 2 tables. The pizza was super greasy which doesnt bother me made the pizza taste soooooo good! I dont know why ppl well some dont like it personally i would go again it was my first time eating here and i loved it!
(5)Dakota M.
Really good pizza pizza! It not a specialty pizza it is just local good hearty well made pizza! Very yummy if you have a hankering! And they driver further than most local pizza joints.

(5)Chris G.

(5)Dana E.
(3)Melissa P.
(2)Destiny P.
(5)Desiree P.
(1)Anthony B.
(5)Trey S.

(5)Katie R.
I have ordered here many times before and it's always been good until last night the food I ate (burger) gave me food poisoning. Will never be ordering again.
(1)Joe B.
I tried to order but the person on the line simply hung up on me. Unacceptable service level
(1)Ryan F.
Also, the pizza sauce has a kick to it...I like it but some probably will not
(3)Isaac M.
Just had a very good late night burger with bacon. Good quality bacon. Really good homemade dip to go with the fries.
(4)Jordan Y.
Last night we ordered food. We were told it would take 45 minutes. 2 hours later we got our food and management refused to give us a discount. Finely they gave us our food for half off but by then it was cold and disgusting. Very unprofessional staff!

(5)Alex C.
(5)Jenn C.
24 hour delivery and great service! Yum
(5)Jennifer R.
But it's not our favorite place for dinner by any stretch of the imagination.

i have food poisoning after ordering pizza from them.

Try 'em!
(4)Caleb S.
(5)S W.

(4)James F.
(5)Lindsay C.
(2)Beth F.
(5)Dan V.
Pizza is good and I enjoy the pepperjack burger. The best thing is they are open 24/7 so great for after the bar on the weekend
(4)Natasha K.
