Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This is not authentic Mexican food! Being from LA, I know Mexican food! Order: enchiladas, carne Sade burrito. The waiter was awesome! The food, made me say... Is this a Mexican restaurant? This is not the Acapulco's I know. This is a water down middle American take on "food"... Not Mexican food. I repeat. This is not Mexican food. I will not come back.

Mediocre. About what you'd expect from an Americanized "Mexican" restaurant. The food was okay, the service was fine. Nothing to write home about. I'd go there if a friend suggested we meet there (like yesterday). But I wouldn't stop there on my own. -Daddy Maxx Retro

Was not impressed pork tasted like a pork roast not carnitas and sauce on chimichanga was fresh out of a can. Granted we are used to authentic Mexican food in California but this was beyond bad for the prices.

Definitely get the cheese dip! Free Endless Chips are served warm with a tasty salsa. I had creamed burritos (one pulled chicken, one ground beef) with a side of rice/beans. They were very delicious! Quality meat and veggies. My husband had the steak fajita burrito, also very good. Again, quality steak and the portions are way more than enough! Our son had grilled chicken tacos. Again, quality, white meat chicken, nice presentation of the plate, and full of flavor. We enjoyed the Sangria Margarita and a regular Frozen Margarita. Definitely recommend you order one of them too. Staff was very friendly, prompt service, clean restaurant, & spotless restrooms!! Literally not a single negative thing to say about this place. Enjoy!

The margaritas are awful. I always just get the house one, on the rocks and with salt - the mix they use is not good. Food is average at best. Fish tacos were terrible. Chips are good and the salsas are okay.

Great Mexican food and best in the area. Love the Carne Asada and gotta have the pomegranate margarita! The menu changes seasonally and always has some family favorites. The waitstaff is friendly and fast. The chips and salsa usually hit the table before we sit down. Their homemade guacamole is fabulous and it seems everyone loves their famous cheese sauce. You won't be disappointed.

Compared to the Coon Rapids location, this place is the Taj Mahal. The place is always clean, service has been decent, never had a problem with my order or the quality of the entree. It's about what you would expect from any Mexican restaurant. Most of the side items are prepared earlier in the day so the food comes out really fast, not necessarily fresh. Cheap beers. Cheap Food. No major complaints.

Good Mexican food. The best I've had in Minnesota thus far. Fajita burrito was delish and chips warm and fresh! There is also a guacamole margarita.... Never had that before, thinking about trying it on my next visit.

Food is always bland and service is terribly slow regardless of the time of day. I have given this place a number of tries because they are so close and we all have our bad days but sadly each time they failed miserably. Far from authentic Mexican food more like Tex Mex at best.

So I got an invite to be a VIP for Twin Cities Live TV program and we had a buffet luncheon with the cast and crew. first off, the food was very good, not necessarily the greatest Mexican food ever but in the top 20%. Enchiladas and Tacos were delicious but the hot sauce and other condiments were lacking....I love hotsauce One of the best things ever here was the $4 Nordeasts and $3.50 dos X amber or lager... good times... their beergaritas were delicious and full of booze...margarita, dos X and a little rum Overall a good time, I would recommend this place although during a TCL Live broadcast, I don't know if otherwise if it was any other day...
