This is a great local place to eat. They have been in business forever and it has always been family run. The food is good basic fare at an OK price. Do not expect anything fancy here. FYI it can be very busy for breakfast on the weekends.

I am not a townie, but the townies freaking love this place. It has the small-town dinner feel. The food is really pretty good and you can't beat the prices. Considering the downtown area of Princeton doesn't have a ton of choices, I would consider this a repeat spot to eat at.

A late breakfast stop for Mrs. Carnivore and me, while out on an adventure, K-Bob Cafe was a great little stop. After the brief confusion over waiting to be seated or seating ourselves, we found a booth, and Deb took care of us. Sadly, the rolls everyone seems to love were sold out by the time we arrived, but other menu items were not. Mrs, Carnivore had a chicken strip BLT with a touch too much mayo, and a bun that had more grains in it than she was expecting, but overall, she enjoyed her meal. I decided it wasn't quite lunchtime yet, and ordered a proper breakfast. My eggs, hash browns, bacon, and pancake were all delightful, and though we had to go through a second effort on my breakfast steaks due to an overcooking incident, steaks #3 and 4 were just what the Carnivore needed to kick off his afternoon. The Carnivore also acknowledges that "breakfast steaks" are very difficult to cook rare, and in no way holds this against the kitchen or wait staff. A special note about the pancake. I have consumed enough pancakes in my lifetime to feed most of the people who have died of starvation. That said, rarely do I cross paths with pancakes worthy of mentioning, but this establishment is on that short list. The flavor and texture were nearly perfect, and though Princeton is nowhere near anywhere I normally go, I am already looking forward to my next trip to K-Bob. Also, starving people should probably eat pancakes with me. Not only will the Carnivore happily return to this establishment, he wholeheartedly recommends it to the hungry masses. After all, according to some seriously twisted reasoning, pancakes save lives. The pancake you eat here, may well prevent starvation elsewhere. Eat pancakes to end world hunger!!!

Great cinnamon roll French toast! Good food and friendly service. If you're traveling by, it's worth getting off the highway for.

Delicious breakfast and lunch diner. Went with two friends on our way back from the lake and had a delicious frittata. We also had a turkey club that was a satisfying sandwich. My friend had an egg sandwich--it was great. We shared a piece of cream pecan pie--I would rather not share next time! The service was the highlight as a wonderful example of a family owned and operated business. Don't we all wish our families could run as smooth! Great stop off the highway.

Solid small town cafe. Breakfast and lunch only. The usual lunch suspects are quite good. Burgers, club sandwich, soups, pies are all tasty. Haven't been there for breakfast yet but I expect it to be good

Great place to come for breakfast, good selection of your normal breakfast grub and really good baked goods. It's an old restaurant that has been in Princeton since 1961. Been family owned and run the entire time! The service here is excellent and prices are reasonable. Hands down the best homemade pies in the area. Note - they're only open from 6am - 2pm and can be busy!

Best. Buttermilk. Pancakes. Everrrr!

This is one of those quintessential greasy spoon breakfast places. If their kind ever goes extinct I swear it will herald the downfall of civilization itself! I have never had a bad meal and the service is excellent. Portions are surprisingly reasonable, which is FANTASTIC. I hate wasting food, especially breakfast food. And they are fanatical about full coffee cups. If a little evaporates they KNOW. Swear to god.

Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday around noon. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food. Had so much time sitting around that we bonded with our fellow diners over our long wait times. Staff was friendly but management seems unable to competently manage their kitchen when they have diners in their back banquet room. They comped our meal 10%, which was insulting given how much of our time was wasted. The food was good, but definitely not worth the wait. I can't believe this place has been open for 50 years if this is how they run their business.

I usually come up this way for a library event. There is a K-Bob classic country radio station 106.1. Not sure if there is a relation. The name surely caught my eye. It's a large space inside and it seems like everyone in town eats here. I got a Mexican omelet. It was pretty good. Standard hash browns. They excel in homemade desserts, especially pies. I brought home a couple of pieces of pumpkin. I think I liked the crust better than the filling, which was pretty good as well. My friend reported the pancake as very good. They close early afternoon.

Excellent breakfast and brunch. Make sure to get the Minnesota Frittata if it is on special that day, it's amazing! Huge cinnamon rolls, pancakes and homemade pies make this place a winner. It's worth the detour off 169.

Don't care about decor but do want a fine -- really fine -- breakfast? Get off the highway and hit this cafe. Choices ranged from the usual eggs and hashbrowns to frittatas and muffins. I was just about to order the hash when I came down on the side of utter decadence: sweet roll french toast. Oh oh oh! My coffee cup never once was allowed to drop below 3/4. Excellent food and even better service? Priceless.

This cafe is just the perfect place to stop for a bite on the drive up to the lake. The sour cream potato soup is light with a pinch of dill and it's great. The decor includes orange comfy booths and hanging Tiffany-style lamps. The waitress keeps filling our coffee cups that come on green-rimmed saucers. I would come back in a heartbeat.
