I'm in Minnesota visiting from Seattle. Chin Yuen's wontons are easily the best I've ever had. The Midwest has it's own style of Chinese food that you can't get other places. We have amazing authentic Chinese food in Seattle - "Sichuan Cuisine Restaurant" in Chinatown is my favorite. Order the fish soup - but I also love Minnesotan Chinese. I just wish they had the chicken wings with oyster sauce and diced onion I remember from their restaurant in Elk River on highway 10. Favorites are Sichuan chicken and lo mein.

A "Chinese" Restaurant that can't even make a decent Chow Mein I try to stay away from.

Walked in half hour before they closed and the were already closing up. Food was pulled out of display. The look on their faces wasnt happy. Ive been in the industry 23yrs,thats a big no no.

Would not go again... The food was not great, everything was way too sweet, bland and greasy. Just not much taste overall for what you are paying for... Used to be much better...

Ordered to-go. This time it was nice and hot. Tried Beef and Broccoli and Sesame Chicken. For our app, we had Dumplings and Appetizer Assortment. What we have tried so far, we have not found greasy or bland. Order ready to pick up in 10 minutes. LOVE that I'm not super thirsty after an hour of eating their food.

I agree, this place is the best Chinese restaurant I have experienced in Minnesota. Their food has never once in 8 visits disappointed me, very consistent quality. Never greasy! I can hardly believe that Hot Wok in Buffalo rated higher. There is no comparison! Chin Yuen is a little spendier than the cheapo buffets people around here seem to frequent, but well worth it.

The best Chinese food that I've had in MN, and I've tried many! The house egg rolls with a side of garlic fish sauce keeps me coming back. Great lo mein, chow mein, General Tsao's chicken, sesame chicken and egg foo yung!

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
