I love to visit this local spot. It's busy, I love the outdoor seating, and the coffee is great. I love they have choices of plain or sparking water on tap. They serve beer and wine which is a plus. I wish I could give more stars, but my breakfast sandwich was overdone and not much taste. Last time, it was much better but still slow service. Today, our sandwiches sat there while the staff was trying to figure out who to deliver it too. I will just go for the coffee...

I love this place! Even when it's busy the people are nice and the food is wonderful! I always feel great after I leave this place because it's usually a treat but the food is quite wholesome with many healthy options. A great spot for a meal or even just for a drink of tea or wine and beer. I love sitting on their patio in the summer and in the comfy chairs by the window in the winter months. Fabulous place!

Worst service ever. Sadly this place is convenient for us so we keep going back - but things haven't changed in over 2 years! The service is friendly, but they are completely understaffed and not trained well. Staff are running into each other and there doesn't appear to be a clear division of labor. Management really needs to step up! We give up and will be trying to find a new place or we'll head to Galleria where they have service figured out.

Great place for morning coffee. Nothing beats enjoying your first cup of coffee here watching Minnetonka Mills come to life. The bike trail is across the street and even on the coldest days people are biking and riding past. Minnehaha Creek flows past in the back. The morning coffee routine is order at the counter, get a cup and slide to the coffee pots to your right. If you order a chi chi coffee drink, hover to the left of the cash reg and voila. Sometimes barista coverage is light in the morning but chill a bit. This isn't the Starbucks or Caribou drive thru mill mentality. Enjoy the venue. Gander out the front window. Breakfast menu is good. Table service is available but can be slow as barista doubles as wait staff. Doesn't hurt to connect with barista when you come in. Oatmeal takes a while but worth the wait. Omelets and other egg dishes offered in a variety of options. I'm not a bacon fan but People's nitrate free bacon is worth the calories and fat. Dinner menu good but service can be slow. Mostly sandwiches. The Thai pulled chicken blows my mind. Super good. I almost ordered a second. Bison burger is good not great. Over cooked. We had both the with the Beet Salad. Waitress divided for us. I'd repeat the Thai pulled and salad but try something else over the bison. Peoples Organic is one of my local favorites because of coffee, people, venue, location and now the Thai pulled chicken. But the dinner menu lacks range and some nights the service is maddening. Nice staff, just over worked. The dinner staff suffers from balancing counter service and table service. Add in the dimension of serving wine or beer before ordering and evening service slows down . Owners would do themselves a favor by observing morning and evening traffic on site without interfering. I frequent the place regularly and have never even met anyone who claims to be a manager. I don't plan to stop visiting despite my critique. Just be nice to see the place realize its potential.

Loved the Buddha salad for a vegan and gluten-free meal. Did not love the tofu veggie scramble - it just had onions and some yellow bell peppers and wasn't nearly the amount of veg I was hoping for. Gluten-free toast came buttered - I didn't mention I was vegan so it was my fault for not clarifying but you'd think if someone was ordering a tofu scramble that they'd ask... Service can be slow but is friendly.

Food quality good. But - The prices are high and the portions are small. Have been over charged in the past on many items in past. They claimed the menus and posted prices need to be updated. Service inconsistent. After boycotting POC Minnetonka for 1+ years, Was driving by and decided to see if things have improved. Place empty so service was good good at counter. But no posted prices or menu prices for items I wanted to order, a coffee refill and oatmeal. The girls behind the counter must just pull the prices out of a hat? So I just bought a coffee refill $2.15 and left. Not impressed with coffee. Have not had problems at EP POC location. Like the black bean chili (kinda expensive but good) and tasty treats.

An off the beaten path organic cafe/full service restaurant, People's Organic cooks up tasty bites. But, the service on my most recent visit was less than stellar, overshadowing an otherwise yummy meal and hurting my overall perception of the place. Recapping the good... +Carrot ginger soup (one of the soups of the day). Flawless execution, perfect balance of all ingredients. Thick and creamy with parmesan-encrusted crackers to toss in for texture. Highly recommended. +Bella Burger. A veggie burger made from a savory mushroom-based mixture. A soft, mush-able texture (versus grain-y or bean-y or crumbly), but not in a gross baby food kinda way...in a really good way, enough to impress my carnivore-inclined bf. Served on a fresh wheat bun that holds its own. +Pulled Thai Chicken Sandwich. Surprised at their ability to capture the nuances of Thai flavors in this sandwich. Sure, they cheated with Sriracha, but the flavor complexity extends way beyond the rooster sauce. And, again, served on soft, fresh ciabatta that was beginning to soak up the Thai sauce creating an amalgamation of deliciousness between the chicken filling and bun. Another winner! And the not so good... +Service, direct service. Our waitress was abrasive and unpleasant. I'll not babble about the details here, but I was unimpressed. +Service, cleanliness. A simple swipe of a wet rag across the table before new patrons are seated would not be too much to ask. +Service, counter lady. She was making an absolute racket. A cacophony of irritating kitchen sounds... the slamming of cabinets and harsh clink-clinking of dishes. Maybe my nervous system was just hypersensitive after a long week... +Service, management. When a decision is made to permanently stop offering an item (veggie lasagna), reprint the menu. Or, at the very least, instruct your servers to inform customers of menu changes early on rather than waiting until an attempted order of the non-existent item. Tricks of the trade... +Save on grapes! Split a carafe of wine with your dining partner. Server claims 1 carafe = 1.5 glasses. According to my observation, 1 carafe is just a few hairs shy of 2 glasses and several dollars cheaper. +Friday=date night! Order 2 entrees, get a free dessert (to gobble on the spot or doggy bag). However, desserts here are only meh-worthy. +Seat yourself. Don't wait for a hostess.Strut right on over to a free table and plop your bum down into a seat, which feel like marshmallows here (an ultra-comdy chair-booth hybrid. +Patio alert. For, like, the 1 month of summer here. (Yes, I incessantly whine about MN winters at every possible opportunity.) P.O. is in the boonies (relatively speaking). If you find yourself in the vicinity, swing on by. Temper your service-related expectations and you'll enjoy your food just fine.

Food was decent, but service (at sit down) needs help. The girls were nice, but were confused on who was waiting on which table and forget requests.

...Good food; nice atmosphere, but the tables are set kind of high. The servers were friendly, but forgot the hot sauce I'd requested. Prices are reasonable. It's nice to have a restaurant available that serves local, organic products. The Twin Cities needs more of that; kind of a back water in that sense.

This is a very cute place and good alternative to mostly "chain" options. I've been a few times and always enjoyed my food (and experience). I love that they have sparkling water on tap. They used to have kale chips on the menu which were wonderful - I was sorry to see these are no longer offered.

What a nice and delicious surprise! We had the tomato basil soup and 'le Trois' Yum Here's a shout out to a place called People's Organic. We went to the location in Minnetonka and to be honest, we were totally surprised by the great food. The tomato basil soup tonight was the best I've had in years, maybe EVER. Try the platter called "le Trois" (the three). Seriously good stuff my friends! Tonight this place was totally 'worth it' as they say. Several locations and I hope your experience will be tasty, too!

This place has great food, coffee, service and many other things. It's a great thing to see pure intentions with what goes into our bodies and I love local organic places like this. I'll be back next month for sure.

Hemp Milk Coconut Mocha. Quite simple the best coconut mocha I've ever had. It was creamy and delicious, without being way too sweet like most coffee shops would make it. Also, their selection of baked goods and pastries are so tasty!

Wow wow wow, I was super surprised at how bad this place was. Ordered the tofu scramble and it was a puddle of oil. A real puddle. Bad service. I said I didn't want it and they would not remove it from my bill.

I am glad to have this little place in walking distance to my house. There arent many choices in this area, esp. if you dont want or cant eat DQ every night. The food is pretty good, but nothing outstanding. Service was great every time and the ambiance is nice, but nothing like the old Dunn Bros that used to be in this space. PO uses fresh ingredients and the coffee is really the best they have to offer. We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich from the kids menu, which was burnt - they made us a new one right away. The veg burger was tasty but had a mushy texture. The roasted beet salad was real good but the dressing was a bit too sour. No complains about the bison burger. The cole slaw side is excellent! Try the agave lemonade, it very tasty. Will be back for coffee and lunch for sure!

I like this place because it's in a neighborhood and has a good feeling atmosphere. You can tell it's understaffed because it's open seating, but hard to find tables that are not cleared or clean. But once you sit down, the ambiance of a small neighborhood place to visit, to eat, be social, relax and enjoy. The staff are easy to speak with, they are not there to be your friends they are there to help you decide what your taste buds want. They are polite but again because under staffed a little rushed. They have a great variety of food on their menu. Personally I like their soups and the fish taco's the best. Hope the place makes it, because the patio they updated is really nice in the summer. I have sat at the bar and just had a local brewed beer and have sat at the tables to have both lunch and dinner. Enjoyed it for date night as well as taking the family.

I love the patio and I want to go when they put the lights on cause they look cool. I had the omelet special of bacon and bleu cheese with a side of thinly sliced potatoes, and toast that was actually buttered. For a healthful theme it is more of a restaurant layout, than a gathering atmosphere of Living Waters up the road. Some food is similar, some isn't. My waitress, Nicole, although the only one outside taking care of a full patio, never ignored me. She told me the water is super filtered. I didn't have a bad time at all.

I really like this place. The food is phenomenal; also, the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had was eaten here. The service was great at the bar. Does gratis ring a bell? It does here! Maybe it's because I'm so damn good looking, jk, but I actually got free wine! I love this place, and eat here all the time. Great wine, great beer, great food. Could you ask for anything more?! Could you ask for anything more?!

I was absolutely heart broken when I found out that creekside coffee (the previous business) was changing to this. It used to be a great atmosphere, with AMAZING coffee and the best employees. I lived within walking distance and went every saturday morning right as it opened. Just such a great place to be. But now it has turned into an over priced, pretentious restaurant with average food that I'm not going to again.

Only been here once. FOH service was great for a seat-yourself type place. Food took nearly 15 minutes for a "healthy version" of a breakfast burrito and a tuna melt. However, food was good and prepared well. Coffee is in the concept name, so they have to deliver a good cup. It was good, and fresh, and they offered a small selection of roasts. PO also boasts a fantastic water filtration system but I did not get further details. The meal left us fully satisfied yet feeling light on our feet. I would certainly go back.

This place is amazing. I can't imagine what happened the night Philip was there. I went there once for lunch, just to try it out. I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad and was blown away. The chicken was organic, gorgeously prepared, and the portion was huge. My friend had the Rachel Reuben sandwich, and after one bite, I was determined to come back that same evening to have it myself. My husband and I have been back at least twice a week ever since. The service has always been excellent. I can't recommend it highly enough. If you've ever tried French Meadow or People's Organic in Galleria, you'll love this cafe. It's run by the same people. Five stars.

I admit that I'm having a somewhat conflicted experience writing this review. On the outside, POC is everything that I want out of a restaurant: truly healthy food at an affordable price that hasn't sacrificed taste for either. The execution of that dream is a little less perfect. POC has become my mom and my default lunch place for lunch (we work about a mile away), so much so that we will start driving this way before either of us has suggested it. The salads are good and various, the soups are unique and tasty, and the entrees are made up of something for everyone, from bison burgers to vegan burgers and from marinated salmon to tilapia tacos. And, there's breakfast all day! Who can complain? Well, probably a few people. My frustration has ebbed a little since the experience I'm about to recount, but it was an experience nonetheless. I always get the zone omelet (one egg yolk + three whites), which is filled with goat cheese, spinach, and freshly roasted tomatoes and served with a side of toast and breakfast potatoes (thin and somewhat tasteless; definitely not the best I've had in this city). I'm not sure what was causing it, but there was a huge grease pool on my plate, which isn't ideal given my goal when I eat at a place specializing in healthy organic food. I could eat around that, though, I suppose. The second problem secured my frustration: I had ordered a side salad, because I wanted some fresh veggies. What I got was a small bowl of romaine lettuce with shredded cheese and a cherry tomato on top. They charged me $4 for it. What?! First off, at a restaurant like this, romaine shouldn't be the most frequently used green-base for salads. Second, in what world does a five-bite salad cost $4? It was disappointing to say the least. The service here is spotty at best. Sometimes you get someone who is eager to help you and understands how to wait on tables, but sometimes you get someone with an attitude who doesn't seem to have the time of day for the patrons. That's a problem. They DID bring back the Sebastian Joe's ice cream that the former cafe served, after much complaining by its customers. So, maybe things are changing a little. The baked goods are incredible, with fresh pastries, tarts, and cookies that use unusual and delicious flavor combinations. The coffees are also good, so they're doing some things right. And the menu is a good start, but the details, for a restaurant that's aiming to be as health-conscious as it seems, are just not quite there. I'll keep coming and keep looking forward to my cobb salad with salmon and mixed greens, but I'll keep being disappointed that that salad isn't on mixed greens to begin with. I have faith in you, POC!

Some associates and I recently dropped into this cafe in order to conduct a short meeting. The place had come highly recommended and we were all eager to partake in their happy hour specials and free wifi. However, once we arrived, that excitement quickly transformed into frustration. Despite the establishment's six total patrons, it took more than ten minutes for us to order a beer or an appetizer. Both orders resulted in disappointment. If an establishment serves beer, it should ensure that its staff knows how to pour one. In our case, three of us ordered beers. The first two opted for beer to be poured into a glass. However, after the first two were poured so sloppily that it created a mess, the third decided to stick with "beer in the bottle". Their chicken quesadilla was equally disappointing. I believe the establishment absolutely succeeds as a coffee shop but fails in its attempt to diversify as a wine/beer cafe.

People's Organic in Minnetonka is my favorite restaurant. I've been there many times and every single time I have had exceptional food and good service. Sure it can take a little while for food to get served but it has never been long delayed. The Rachel is by far the best I have ever had. Absolutely Amazing with the perfect amount of cheese, sauerkraut, bread, and turkey, and their home made sauce is incredible. The bison burger and tuna melt is excellent also. Everything Is high quality and natural / organic and many items are home made. Best bison burger I've ever had! Food here is definitely better than the Edina location and better than French Meadow. It's very hard to imagine that People's Organic has poor reviews. I can't begin to wonder if competitors are trying to sabotage their reviews and sales. Dozens of personal great experiences = 5 stars! Disregard these poor reviews and try this place out. Everything I have had so far is excellent!!

I've been to this place twice now and enjoyed it both times! First time, I ordered the healthy "Zone" omelet breakfast and it was Super Good! Healthy but very tasty. Second time I ordered the California Chicken wrap while my wife ordered the Big Red Lentil Burger and her burger looked great! The food quality and menu reminds abit of French Meadows which is a nice compliment. Since this place is a close drive for me, I plan on going back again.

It's really a shame that the customer service is so atrocious People's Organic because the food is excellent. My wife and I have gone back several times because the food is so good. But we just can't do it again. I literally stared at the servers on a somewhat busy Saturday afternoon and got nothing. not even a "I will be right there." Not a menu or a water. So we walked out. Other times we have witnessed servers arguing and just showing complete incompetence. There's so many awesome places to eat in this city and I just can't justify spending any more money here. if you can gut out atrocious servers and long waits, maybe give it a shot.

Looking forward to lovely dinner with husband. Ordered Cobb salad. Lettuce brown, tomatoes and cucumbers old and salmon dry. $18.00 for a terrible salad. Very disappointed as this is local. Waitress nice, but service wait very long. So sad~

All I wanted was a simple dinner after a walk! We entered at about 7 PM after a neighborhood walk. Wanted a simple dinner before some travel the next day. The place was not busy - 4 people at the bar and three other tables with guests. Bartender, waitress and kitchen staff on hand. They seemed to be adequately prepared to deal with business, but we seemed to be totally invisible to the bar tender, the waitress and all staff. We gave it a good 5 + minutes before we decided that the team on site that night did not want to do business!!! We left disappointed. We really hope this place is successful because we live in the neighborhood. But if you are in a service business, you have to be ready to great guests within a reasonable amount of time and give them some expectation for service. This may have just been an off night - I really hope so! I will probably give it another try and hope that a manager will be on hand or a group of really engaged employees will be there who want to do business. If that's the case, then I'd be happy to give them my money!

My first time at an organic cafe. Was a busy summer afternoon, and we wanted outdoor seating. We could clearly see that there were tabes available but the waitress did not seem enthused that we asked to be seated outside. Took her over five minutes to seat us although many tables were clear; we were ignored. Tried the chicken and goat cheese sandwich: very tasty. Ordered the side salad and was disappointed as others have mentioned...just a few greens and a balsamic dressing. I will choose a different side next time. My friend and I split the mixed berry bread pudding (that the waitress recommended) for dessert. Wasn't the greatest since it varied in temperature with each bite...but their other baked items looked fabulous. My friend had a tuna sandwich, and she enjoyed that. I will probably try again if I'm in the area.

I live very close to Peoples Organic, and have been there for breakfast/lunch ten or so times. The food is very good. The service is terrible. We typically wait ten mins for a server to appear with menus. Then wait ten more minutes for her to return to take our order. Then wait ten minutes for beverages to show up, another ten minutes.. you get the picture. This has happened pretty much every time i have been there. At least three times i have seen customers complaining to the manager/owner about the service. Its almost amusing given the complaints, and many negative reviews focusing on the poor service, that the service never improves. its almost like the management doesnt even care - and perhaps they dont feel they need to, since the place is usually quite busy. You cant make people care, but i suppose i can just stop going there, and I prob will, considering each time i leave i am annoyed.

My husband and I love the concept and location of this restaurant but in the four times we've been there, we're less than impressed. The first time we went with friends and they had a "specials" card at the table advertising that if you like them on Facebook you get a discount. After doing so, we were informed that was a "Happy Hour" special yet it was not made clear anywhere on the ad. The service is inconsistent and can be slow. We had an awesome waitress once but the other times had bad service. The last time, we sat down we let our waitress know we were ready to order when she greeted us. It took over 10 minutes for her to come back and take our order and bring us water. We both had to finish the second half of our meals without anything to drink. To top it off, my husband had a croissant breakfast sandwich and the parchment paper was left on the cheese, when he informed the waitress, her response was "Uh, again!" and she walked off without offering new food, a discount or an apology. When asked, the manager gave us $4 off the tab. That was nice and all but the waitresses attitude was very off-putting and we won't likely return for sit down service. The baked goods are amazing!
